This is old :D I'm not ashamed. Anyways basically in this series (without spoilers) Jane, the renegade slave, has an aunt named Annabelle. Annabelle basically takes over the world by the second book. (Sorry D: Had to spoil it.) Every one under Annabelle's control is hypnotized except for my character, named Hypnosis (Hypno for short). Hypno can't be hypnotized but Annabelle didn't know that. The scene basically is Hypno insisting that his name is not Levi. This might have a few tweaks added because my friend is writing the book.
