Heyo! Long time no post. I know I haven't updated on Wattpad in a while, and to be honest I'm not sure how often I will moving forward, but I definitely try to post when I can ^_^

I realized I had been neglecting my art book since I post most of my artwork on Instagram (my user is viioletpixels if you want to follow me on there!), but I wanted to make sure I shared this character on here as well since she's pretty relevant to my writing. Sooo, meet Hazel! She's one of my OCs for TMNT 2012. 

When I first created her back in 2015-ish, I was inspired by Hazel Levesque from the Heroes of Olympus series because I was obsessed with it at the time; you can probably see some of the design similarities. I wanted her green eyes and hair to be her most noticeable characteristics, as she's often been teased for both, especially her eyes. Luckily, Timothy is there to help her see she looks fine just the way she is ;)

Speaking of Timothy, Hazel's relationship with him is probably the most important aspect of her character. Tim is such a tragic character to me, and it always made me sad that he was never cured and the show just forgot about him. I felt like the poor guy deserved a positive figure in his life after everything he went through, so I made Hazel his girlfriend! In my canon, once he goes missing, the journalist aspect of her character comes into play as she uses her skills to investigate what happened to him, which naturally leads her to the Turtles. From there, a lot of drama, self-discovery, and shenanigans happen before she and Donatello finally manage to retro-mutate him. I honestly don't know if I'll ever get to writing the full story, but I really love Hazel and Timothy together (or Hazmothy as I call them), so you'll probably see me posting some one-shots and fluff of them every now and then. 

Also, some fun facts about her dog Ares:
1.) He's a reminder of why I rarely draw animals, lol.
2.) He's obsessed with Leonardo for some reason. No one knows why but he just loves him.
3.) He's named after a Greek god because Hazel also had a Heroes of Olympus phase.

Like Scarlet, I first made Hazel years ago and she's changed and evolved a bit since then. As proof, here's my original drawing of her from around 2015-ish:
