#CoralandBone

Hi! The wonderful Tiffany Daune is holding a Coral and Bone fanart competition, and well i figured i would enter something.
My picture here is portraying main character, Halen. 
I didn't even get past the first chapter before i had to draw this one XD. 
It is based off the line in Chapter 1, Part 1- "Beating like the thunderous wings of a thousand birds, the whispers swarmed her thoughts."

For those who have read it, i tried to portray her amidst a mental breakdown in the classroom. I also wanted to interpret the birds swarming past her. I picked crows/ ravens because they are naturally associated as evil. I also wouldn't want them flying past my head. 

I painted this using Photoshop CC 2014. AND for the first time, i used Colour Dodge and I LOVE IT!! It is so much fun.
