1. Draw a circle. Don't push yourself in order to make it perfect, it's just a sketch.

2. Draw an oval that will be transformed into a face shape.
3. Add a hairline. It will make it easier.
4. Draw a vertical line (and a horizontal one if you know you have trouble with symmetry)

5. Separate the face in 3 regions + hairline. These regions don't have to be of the exact same size, but keep in mind not to go overboard:)

6. Sketch out the eyes (I draw them as ovals) and the nose (somewhat of a triangle). Don't forget the nose is where the second region ends!

7. To ppl like me that find it hard to understand where to put the ears: the easiest way is to make an oval (again) that goes from the eye and to the nose.

8. Lips: I find it easier to draw them if I do the top lip as two small circles and the bottom lip as an oval.
