Nightmare is a shy person really and has social anxiety. He used to have a good friend who he had a (didn’t know at the time) crush on. However his friend went missing and after years of crying he forced himself to move on and go out with nightmare fredbear even though he didn’t like him.

nightmare fredbear was a terrible lover to nightmare and constantly cheated or hurt nightmare never really saying I love you but being possessive over him when he talked to others.

nightmare found his old friend again and had an embarrassing encounter with him (a smooch) and now he is confused on how to feel. currently he is still trapped in his toxic relationship with his boyfriend. He also was bullied a lot for having two different eyes and not hurting kids.
