For those who don’t know, blackout gave up a lot for his baby brother. His parents were rich and he could have had the perfect life. However once Akuji was born things changed. Akuji was not wanted by the parents and for some reason blackouts eyes turned green. 

Blackout felt connected to his baby brother and offered to be the one to take care of him. The parents said if he did then they would disown blackout as well as Akuji.

knowing this he still chose to take care of Akuji and he was kicked out from his home at the age of 7 when his brother was just a baby
