A rant on the new Harley Quinn show

Wow... I actually drew myself.

Those who're fans of the new Harley Quinn show, please don't check this out unless you're okay with this. If anyone has critisism on any of my points, feel free to say. Spoilers too.

There was a point where I was watching the show which I thought was going to be interesting but from what I've seen, it's a lot of the time just a comedy looking at the normal everyday life of the biggest villains. Yes, there are a lot of plot driven moments but it still seemed so hyped as a show but I think so much potential was wasted.

For one thing, the woke nature of the show. Some may know I'm an Anti SJW, especially when it comes to Feminism and there's a lot of feminism in the show. There's an episode in the show where Harley is trying to get a crew but how is she having a hard time with it? Because she's a woman... That doesn't make any sense since when has that ever been an issue in the DC universe. Correct me if I'm wrong but that sounds like such a lazy excuse to shove in feminism

And Ivy... This is nothing like the original Ivy at all! The original Ivy was a very flirty woman in a leotard, but what is she in the new series? She wears a pantsuit, has a deep serious voice and acts serious as she flirts to either only barely or never. I can't see this as Ivy at all.

The only reason I watched the show when I saw how anti climactic it was were because of specific characters. I hated Harley in this with a burning passion and I only went on watching because of side characters. Kiteman because he's lovable, Bane and Scarecrow because they made great comedy, Freeze because of the great emotion and Joker because he was actually consistent. I thought Freeze was also consistent because he did usually make great emotional moments in other versions.

I hate Harley in the series for her selfishness and also her outfit. Hating someone for their out fit may sound petty but I'll explain why. Someone reviewed the show and said it was great. One of the reasons they called it great was because it's not sexualizing Harley but I strongly disagree. Her outfit for one thing. In Suicide Squad, her shorts didn't leave much to the imagination but in this series, they look like a pair of panties! There are only around four shots I remember which actually looked like shorts, really tight shorts which look painful. She wears a tight and revealing crop top along with a tight choker and how is this not sexualizing her? Some could say she feels comfortable in it but if someone wore that outfit in real life, it actually looks painful to wear. It all looks so tight on the body.

Another thing I hate about her character is her toxic personality. Someone commented in a video Ivy should be with Harley because she's not happy with Kiteman which I disagree with. Yeah, she was having second thoughts but that's Harley's fault. Harley was constantly trying to be with Ivy knowing she was happy with Kiteman. She was just thinking of herself and not Ivy's happiness. "This may ruin our relationship but take a risk and take a leap of faith with me.". I recall Harley saying something like that but I didn't go to see what she said word for word because I hate even looking at the show now. She said that while Ivy was still with Kiteman. There was a moment in the show where Ivy was drunk and what happens? Ivy and Harley slept together... I can't ship it in the show. I thought it would ruin the Ivy X Harley ship for me but no, I can at least feel right about shipping them in other versions.

I told myself if Kiteman and Ivy split I'd be pissed and guess what happened! But I'll admit at least the reason wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I still blame Harley. Kiteman broke up with her but I think it's still Harley's fault. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

There was a moment where Harley stole the batmobile but I don't recall seeing how she would be able to. No idea... Did I miss anything? And like I said, feel free to correct me on any point if I got something wrong.
