Oh Geez (Sensitive Topics)
Ok. So you guys remember the chapter I posted when I said I was bi? I uh, came out on the Internet, but I never came out to my family.
That is because, they, well most of them, go to church, and apparently, in the bible, it says that being gay is a sin. I know I'm not gay, and I'm Bisexual, but that's basically being partly gay, so if they knew, they would probably be mad? I don't know. I don't know if they are homophobic, but what I do know is that they don't like talking about the topic.
Like, once I told my brother my friend was gay, and he said, "Why? That's a sin!" And then my step-mom said, "Hey, stop talking about that."
And that makes me feel horrible about it, and I'm just so.... Different, compared to my family.... The opposite....
I was "inspired" to draw this because of a video I watched on a channel called, Jacksepticeye. He posted a gaming video called, A Normal Lost Phone, and I'm not gonna go completely into details about it just in case you want to watch it, but during some parts, he started to go on long rants about being homosexual and how that can effect a person who is LGBT.
It made me feel better about it to know that he thinks that the world can, one day, respect others feelings towards that of the same gender, and or, their feelings toward their own gender.
It made me think about a lot of things after hearing it, and I realized that one day, I will have to come out to some of my family. I'm just terrified to see their reaction, especially since they found out about what I was, and that I had to go to counciling.
I know my brothers and sisters will probably laugh at me, and make fun of me for it, and I know they will never let me let it go... And my parents, I have no idea. That scares me... And I feel that if it's a bad reaction, it'll just make things worse, and if it's good, then okay, I won't have to worry about it, but it would also confuse me....
Why...? Would they feel pity? Anger? Sadness? Fear? I haven't a clue....
I want to be proud of who I am seeing as it was literally Pride Month a week ago, but that also reminds me.
Here is a small story that happened a few weeks ago.
So I was petting my rabbit, and my sister looked at me and said, "Aww, Kenna, do you have a Boyfriend?"
And I just looked at her, and remember this was after I came out as bi, and I said, "She is a girl."
And my sister laughed and said, "Well it's Pride Month!"
She said it as if it was a joke. As if it doesn't matter. I didn't know how to respond, so I just closed my rabbit cage, and sat at the table.
Ugh, I don't understand when something good happens to me in life, and I'm like, 'oh! Maybe my life is turning around!'
NOPE!
Ugh, I don't think I ever want to come out to my parents... Starting now, I'm saving every penny I get so that I can leave once I'm 18. I'll be gone, I'll have a clean slate. I'll be the long lost daughter that they don't care about.....
It's funny how my dad said that was fine with him... During our family vacation, I didn't really spend much time with family, and my dad was like, 'You need to learn to talk to people.'
And I said, 'But I don't like to. It's better for me this way..'
And then he said, 'fine. Then one day when you move out you can just be the long lost daughter that we'll all forget.'
*sigh* I didn't mean for this chapter to get so serious, but, I just need some advice right now... Should I come out to my family? Get it off my chest? Please.
I want help... I'm not usually one to ask for help, seeing as I'm very independent, but please.
I need people to help me right now...
