so i had some more time, and was able to do another big fancy thingo like the link one. i decided to do a merman, and i kinda rushed it, but here's how it turned out. ill most likely fix it up tomorrow afternoon and post that. 

so i did a sketch first, then lineart...

and then flat colour...

then some gradients on the hair and tail...

i then did two shading layers...

i then did a set of transparent gradients as usual. first a vertical lime green down to royal blue...

then another vertical, but now light blue to dark blue...

and then a flat layer of transparent blue...

i did a simple background...

and then clip coloured the lines...

and added sunlight beams and a signature

i see now that i forgot to finish the colouring on the hand lines, and that there are a few dodgy patches. ill fix those up when i have time.    

anyway the fusion sketches are coming along nicely as well. im currently designing the Garnet/Lapis Fusion, and will then work on the Peridot/amethyst and others.
