Sooo...
I cut part of my finger off...

I was cutting some things for this recipe that had to be done for the college bake sale, just going at it and getting it all done when the blade slipped.
The blade sliced through the nailbed and took off a bit of my finger, the middle finger of my left hand.

I went to the sink and washed the bleeding wound out, leaving a trail of blood drips.
I called out that there has been an accident and I needed some some bandages, coagulant spray, disinfectant, and a finger cot.
One of the chefs ran over with all I needed and panicked when she saw my bleeding finger.
Me being calm as I had been through more painful experiences, just put everything on.

I went back to work and saw my severed nail and flesh there on the table.
Got that cleaned up and washed the knife I cut myself with.
I cleaned up all the blood and threw the possibly contaminated food in the garbage.
The chef kept coming back to check on me, she commented that I looked pale.
Note that I am already pale, this was a bit concerning.
But I'm stubborn and went through the whole day.

Have no idea how much blood I lost, but I was sleepy afterwards.
So as soon as I got home, I hit the sack.
Now....
I'll just have to live with this until it grows back.
