No Light without Darkness (Night 2)
-Gustav-
Honestly, I didn't feel that much when I first saw her. Now that I've heard her voice (not just her singing one, a voice that describes her life), I feel that she deserves more than what she currently has. And I know just what she needs.
That night, I went to the same place I found her last night. Sure enough, she was there. Only this time, with was much worse. She stood at the very edge of a cliff, tears escaping her bloody red eyes.
"I can't live with this anymore," I heard her whisper to herself.
"Arsyn!" I yelled, running up to her.
Ignoring me, she started stepping closing to the edge. "Arsyn! It doesn't have to be this way!"
"Shut up Gustav," she murmured. Before she could jump, I grabbed her wrist and turned her around to face me.
"Arsyn, I didn't just admire your song, I heard every single pain you felt on each line, seeing each memory you described. I want to help you, you don't have to end your life now. You're not alone, you have your friends, Astrid, Blackjack (don't ask how me I figured out her dragon's name), and me."
Arsyn glanced at the cliff, then to me, then back to the cliff again, trying to decide her faith. Finally, she sighed and stepped off the edge.
Then, surprisingly, she hugged my chest and sobbed. I embraced her back, stroking her hair. "Hey, it's going to be okay," I whispered in her ear as she continued to cry.
We stayed like this for Thor-knows-when until Arsyn's tears stopped falling.

-Arsyn-
I was the first to pull away, looking up and staring deeply at Gustav's lime green eyes. "Thanks for stopping me," I muttered.
Gustav smiled at weakly, "it's the least that I could do, plus Astrid would kill me if she found out you were dead."
I laughed back quietly, then frowned. Why in the world would she want me alive?
"Honestly, I don't know either. We didn't even know about you until you actually came," Gustav replied.
"I said that aloud didn't I?"
"Yes you did," he smirked, turning to the sunset in front of us. "Well, I better get going, cya Arsyn."
I waved at him as he left, only to find him turn around and walk back to me.
Then, surprisingly, he kissed my forehead lightly, staring back at me with pitiful eyes.
Did he actually do what I think he did?
Then he turned around and really walked away, leaving me with a stunned expression on my face (again, wow).
