"I can't do this, Dad. Khushi is in so much pain, and she is unable to take the news. I can't break her heart more, Dad," said Akash.

"But, Akash, it will help her to see the truth, and also will help her, to come out of the shock," said Manohar.

"I can't imagine why this is happening to us. I can't accept that Bhai left this world. No, Bhai can't leave us like that. He can't leave me and go. I need him in my life. If he leaves me like this, then who will guide me, correct me and show me the correct way? No, he can't do this to me. No, he can't," said Akash breaking down before his father.

"Shh..., Akash! Control yourself. I know this is a difficult time for us. But we can't avoid or ignore the situation. I know it's painful, but we should cross this. We should stay strong for our family. Trust me, Akash, you will come out of this. I know the pain of losing our sibling. But, we can't help Akash. How much we love them or how much we want them to be with us, till the end, we can't change the happenings. We have to learn to live with their memories. We should keep them in our heart and mind, nothing else we can do. Trust me, Akash, this tough time will pass. It will never stop for anyone. How much we love them, we will forget them eventually. Even though we don't want to, but our life teaches us to move on. It will be difficult, but we should move on; that's life's rule. Control yourself and go; give these things to Khushi. It might help her to come out of her shock," said Manohar, patting Akash shoulder while wiping his tears. One more of his beloved was gone, leaving him behind. 'I don't know how many days or years I need to do this. But I'm tired. I can't lose anyone anymore. I can't see another one to leave me and go. I can't act strong anymore. Please help me, God. Please keep my family safe. If Arnav is here, I wouldn't have bothered to take care of my family. But in his absence, I need you and your blessings. Please, help me,' thought Manohar, closing his eyes to hide his pain.

"Amma..., I think you should call Subhadra Ji. She should see Arnav for the last time. It's her right," said Mama Ji, controlling his bubbling cries.

Nani nodded her head, crying her heart, looking at her grandson.

"Chote," the old lady couldn't come out of the pain.

Mami supported Nani while she called Arnav's Dadi. After crying along with Dadi and answering her questions, Nani ended the call.

"She will be here by tomorrow morning," said Nani, giving the phone to HP, their house help.

::::::::::::::

Next-day Morning.

"Chote..., Mera bacha..., Arnav...," Dadi came inside running, crying for her grandson.

"Subhadra," called Nani.

But Arnav's Dadi is not ready to listen to anyone. She ran to the body, which kept in a glass box.

Dadi cried seeing her grandson in a barren state.

"What happened? What happened to him? Devyani, I'm asking you! What happened to my grandson?" shouted Dadi.

"He met with a severe accident while coming back from the airport," said Akash, and continued telling, seeing the confused expression on Dadi's face, "He went to London."

Nodding her head, Dadi was about to ask her the next question, but her words stopped hearing a voice.

"Di, Arnav Ji is safe. You shouldn't weep like this. It's not good for your health. Arnav Ji will not accept this. Please Di, don't cry," Khushi tried to console Anjali.

"Khushi, please," said Anjali, trying to control her sobs.

"No, Di. I'm telling...," Khushi's voice trembling with fear. Her mind is not ready to accept the truth everyone is believing.

"Khushi, please," shouted Anjali, "Look around us, everyone is mourning. He is here, in front of you - died. You should accept the truth. Your Arnav Ji is no more, Khushi. Please, gather your senses and accept the truth," said Anjali, shaking Khushi.

Tears rolled from Khushi's eyes. Khushi looked at Anjali and everyone in the room, shaking her head. "Please, I'm trying so hard not to believe this news. I don't want to believe it. Arnav Ji is the only person I have in this world whom I can say is 'mine'. If he leaves me, I can't breathe or live. Please, Di, tell me this is not true. Please..., Please," Khushi cried, holding Anjali's hand.

"Khushi...," Anjali tried to console Khushi, but her pain of losing her brother didn't help much.

"No, Di. Please. I can't..., without him..., everything would be..., no..., I can't."

"Khushi, these are Bhai's things, which police found in the spot. I thought it might help you believing...," Akash stopped saying, unable to continue.

"No, please," whispered Khushi.

Akash knelt before Khushi and gave her the packet, which Khushi took with shivering hands.

A heart-wrenching cry left Khushi, seeing Arnav 's things. "Arnav Ji," Khushi cried heart out. "No..., you can't leave us like this. NO..., Di, he listens to your every word, right? Please ask him to wake up. Please Di. Ask you Chote to get up. ASK HIM!" shouted Khushi.

Everyone cried seeing Khushi's state. Khushi ran to Nani and held her hands. "Nani, please ask him to get up. He can't do this to us, Nani. Ask him to get up and scold him. Please Mami Ji, Mama Ji...," she looked around her to see everyone is crying. "Why no one is telling him to get up?" shouted Khushi. She ran to the body and started shaking it, "Arnav Ji, get up; Look around you, everyone is crying for you. You can't be irresponsible. Get up; I know you can't see your family in pain, get up, Arnav Ji. NO..., you can't do this to us. Please, Please...," Khushi cried, keeping her head on his body's chest. "Please... get up," whispered. She held his hand and slowly slid down, sitting beside the body. "Please...," she cried.

Everyone cried along with her. But for a reason, they felt relieved seeing her crying and venting her pain out. But, in the next second, everyone gasped in shock, seeing Dadi pulling Khushi from Arnav's body. "Ahhhh!" Khushi cried.

"Dadi!"

"Subhadra!"

"Dadi JI!"

"Maa Ji!"

Everyone is shocked seeing the sudden turn of events.

"How dare you to touch my grandson? Who are you?" Dadi vented her hate towards Khushi.

"Dadi, what are you doing?" Anjali tried to stop her Dadi from committing a mistake.

"Anjali, I think you should ask this question to this girl, not me," Dadi spitted fire through her eyes.

"No, Dadi, you are mistaken. She is...," Anjali tried to tell Khushi's relation with her Chote.

"Who is she, Anjali? What's going on here? Who is this girl? Why are you supporting her instead of throwing her out for touching Chote with her filthy hands?" asked Dadi, not giving a chance to anyone to speak.

"Dadi, please. She is Khushi, Chote's widow," before Anjali says more, Dadi shouted.

"What? Chote's wife? When did Chote get married? Why am I not informed? And who is this girl to get married to Chote? What's her status to become my daughter-in-law? WHO IS SHE?" shouted Dadi.

"Their marriage happened in a hurry, Dadi. We couldn't inform you," Anjali tried to explain Dadi but stopped by Mama's loud voice.

"AND THIS IS NOT THE TIME FOR THIS, FOR GOD SAKE. I don't want anyone to talk anything about Khushi or Arnav. Let him in peace, at least now. Till now, he lived for us, for everyone around him. Now, I'm sure he is tired, that's why he left us. Please let him go in peace. Don't create an argument or scene now. Please, let's give him the last respects he deserves. Let his soul go with serenity. And Ma Ji, please keep your anger and dominant nature aside for some time. We can talk about everything later,"

Everyone became quiet after hearing Manohar's words. No one dared to talk anything more. Manohar went to Khushi and said, "beta, you are Chote's wife. You have every right to be here, in this house. You are one of the daughters of this house, and you will remain one. It's your home as well as ours. Chote's departure will never change this truth. You are my daughter, and we are here for you, okay?"

"Papaji," Khushi cried her heart out and hugged Mama.

"Sir, if everyone came, then we need to do the rites. It's time for...," the priest said, indirectly mentioning the inevitable.

Nodding his head, Mama Ji gave Khushi to Payal and Anjali to get ready to give his respects to his nephew

"Rani Sahiba?" Shyam came inside hurriedly and hugged Anjali.

Seeing Shyam, Anjali cried her heart out and hugged him tightly.

"Shyam Ji, see, Chote..., Chote left me. He left us. He just left," cried Anjali.

"Sh..., Rani Sahiba..., calm down. Everything will be fine. Sh..., calm down. Crying like this can be harmful to your health, please relax...,"

All the elders in the room felt relieved seeing Shyam's care towards Anjali. But NK, Akash, Mami and Payal, can see through his facade. Being related to him, they felt disgusted.

Shyam looked around him with a secret winning smile. His eyes landed on Khushi, who sat with Payal and Buaji, crying for Arnav. Just a few days more, Khushi. I will make everything ready for us. We can live happily, forever. Give me some time to settle things with these Raizada-s. Then we can go anywhere we want and live, far from these disgusting people,' thought Shyam.

::::::::::::::::

"I don't know what to do, Nandkishore. I don't know why this happened. I never thought of this. Not even in my wildest nightmares. I never knew I would see this day. Arnav..., he became a son to me. I never expected him to leave us like this, Nandkishore. I don't know why God did this to us, to Arnav and Khushi," said Buaji, after making Khushi sleep.

After completing all the rites, Mama, along with few relatives, took Arnav to the burial ground. After Arnav left the house forever, it became difficult to control Khushi. Even Anjali tried her best to stop Khushi from going with Arnav.

"Leave me, let me go. Arnav Ji! I need to go with him, Arnav Ji, stop. Don't leave me and go, Arnav Ji. Leave me, let me go. ARNAV JI! Stop, don't take him. NO, Arnav Ji!" Khushi became hysterical, and it became difficult for Payal and Bua Ji to hold her.

"Khushi, please, control yourself. Arnav is not going to come back. Khushi," Bua Ji tried to control but couldn't. Akash, along with NK, came to khushi to hold her, while Anjali called the doctor. After few minutes, the doctor came and gave the injection.

"She is stressed with the happenings. It's very natural for her to behave like this. Don't force her to do anything. She needs rest. I gave an injection, and it will make her sleep till morning. It's okay if she doesn't have food for now. But when she wakes up, give her something light to eat. She is emotionally struggling. She just needs time and your support. And I'm sorry for your loss, I'm sorry. I will take your leave, don't hesitate to call me whenever you need me. Take care" with that Doctor left the house, already feeling the loss of the powerful aura of the man of Raizada Mansion.

Everyone sat in the living room, mourning their loss. Everyone's eyes are on Arnav's photo, which adorned with a garland.

"He always preferred silence, but I never thought he would leave us with this silence. I don't know how to come out of this," said Mami.

"This all happened because of that girl. I don't know where Arnav found her. If he didn't marry her, then our Chote would be alive today. I don't know what black magic she did on our Chote. You all better throw her out of this house," said Dadi, spitting venom through her words.

"Subhadra, why are you talking like that? What did that poor girl do to get this hate from you? And please don't talk like that when you know nothing about her. We know what she is and how she is. We accepted her with our hearts, so please don't talk like that. She is important to us," said Nani.

"Devyani, what are you saying? How can you support her? Because of her, we lost our son. Why can't you see the truth? She is the reason for our loss!" said Dadi.

"Stop it, Dadi. You don't know anything happened here. Please, we lost our Chote, and nothing can bring him back. Stop blaming a person who is never the reason for anyone's sorrow, let alone ours. Please Dadi, not now," cried Anjali.

"Okay, I don't talk anything about her, but I don't want her in the house," said Dadi.

"And why is that so?" asked Mama feeling frustrated.

"Because Chote has died," said Dadi.

"So?" asked confused Mama.

"So! You are asking, so? When Chote is not here, then how can she stay here? She should go to her maternal home," declared Dadi, leaving everyone in surprise.

"In that case, Ma Ji, why did you stay in Sheesh Mahal for long? Why didn't you go back to your maternal home after papa Ji died? Why did you stay with your sons?" asked Mama Ji, controlling his bubbling anger.
