TB Part 15
Hello dears...
How are you all? I hope everyone is doing good. So, after the elevator episode of mine, I'm still getting better. it's taking time for me to get well as I already have problem with my back. But doctors suggested to try to continue doing my work. They asked me not to lie throughout the day. So, here I'm with an update. And about the update, I wrote the pre-cap part too. But I felt something amiss, so I'm leaving that part for the next update. And as you guys are waiting for long and gave me lot of time, I felt it's not fair to make you guys to wait more. So, I'm posting the update.
Please ignore the typos and grammatical mistakes. Not yet proof read. Please let me know if you find any loop holes or mistakes or disturbances or if you feel something amiss (as in-line comments). I will correct them while writing next part. I hope you guys will like this update. Let me know.
Part 15:
"I think we should wait till Kunal gives his report, before contacting the police. Let's see what he finds," said Aman.
"Is there any official, who was close to Arnav Ji, in the department?" asked Khushi.
"Yes, even though he talks with so many policemen including the Commissioner, he is close to the Assistant Commissioner of Police. He was always in contact with ACP. I hope you know the meaning of 'close' in ASR's dictionary. He never talked with anyone about his personal life. Despite how close he is with ACP, he always limited his relation to the professional side," said Aman.
"Doesn't he have any close friends then?" asked Khushi.
"Not really, Bhai never had time to explore normal things, Khushi. He was so busy with giving us a comfortable and luxurious life. He lived for us. He worked like a machine, to give us every damn thing we desired. He always gave us what we wanted before we could ask. He doesn't know what a normal life Khushi," said Akash, thinking about his brother.
Khushi nodded her head in understanding. She knew her laad governor and his love for his family, well. She very well knew upto what extent he can go, to give a happy and worryless life to his loved ones. Other than her, who knows him well? She sighed thinking about Arnav.
Three of them sat in silence.
"Maybe we can take ACP sir's help, unofficially. Maybe we can talk with him about Shyam ji. I don't want to take any risk. Kunal might be good at his work, but we need to look after Mohan ji and his friend's families. And also this Karthik and his family. Where can we concentrate? I'm not going to depend on our security department. Because, when they can ignore details and safety of Arnav Ji, they can ignore anyone. I can't take any risk now, not with anyone's life. And if Shyam ji can do this to the ASR and his family, then employees of AR are not an issue for him. So we need to be very careful. I can't just go forward with only the security department and Kunal ji's help. I don't want Arnav ji to feel disappointed with us. We all know how much he cares for his employees. We all know, for him, employee's safety is as important as ours. I can't take risks about that. We need to do something," said Khushi.
"I agree. But what to do?" asked Aman.
"Maybe we can take help from ACP?" said Akash.
"Can we book an appointment with him?" asked Khushi, thinking about the possibilities of her thoughts and ideas.
"I will take an appointment," said Aman and before he leaves the cabin, they hear the knock.
"Come in," said Akash, allowing the persons - Arnav's and his PAs.
"Sir, actually..." Arnav's PA hesitated to tell, looking at Khushi. He knew how much ASR's absence is affecting her.
"It's okay, you can say whatever you want," said Khushi, understanding his hesitation.
"Actually, Ma'am. These projects, which were finalised and signed by ASR, need someone's presence now. Previously, it was decided that ASR will go and take care of these projects by himself. But now, as he is not here, someone should go," said Arnav's PA, gulping his sadness.
Before Khushi says anything, Akash's PA says,
"Sir and ma'am, actually the meeting with the Japanese company was scheduled a week back. But, because of the happenings here (he closed and opened his eyes to control his emotions), they postponed the meeting. But now, we need to hurry, Sir. Because all the companies and clients are getting worried about our projects and partnerships. They are looking for assurance. ASR's absence is starting to affect AR, sir. We need to concentrate on work now. I'm sorry, but this is the truth ma'am." said Akash's PA.
Both Akash and Arnav's PAs are always on their toes working for and around ASR. There were a few times, they wanted to quit their jobs because of the busy schedule and restless work. There were times, they got irritated with the punctuality, rules, and strictness of the AR. There were times, they made fun of ASR for his arrogance, rudeness and harsh behaviour. But not seeing him in office, not hearing him, not having him on their heads, made them realise how much they are missing him; made them realise how much they enjoyed working under him, made them realise how much they learnt from him, made them realise how much they need him.
"How important are these projects?" asked Khushi.
"Most, Ma'am." said Akash's PA.
"Jiju, do you need to go?"
"No, Ma'am, he can't," said Arnav's PA, before Akash says anything.
"Excuse me, who are you to decide that?" asked Khushi, narrowing her eyes.
"I didn't mean it in that way, ma'am. I mean to say, ASR wanted Akash sir to take on a few other projects. ASR wanted to deal with these - Japanese and Delhi projects by himself. And, Akash sir also needs to go to Mumbai and Kalkatta, to sign projects," said Arnav's PA.
"Is it?" asked Khushi.
"Damn it, I forgot about this. Thank you for reminding me about this man. Prepare a PPT with all the details of the projects. We will decide and let you know who will take those projects and what to do next. We, whoever will work on that, need the details. If bhai wanted to look into these projects by himself, I'm sure, they would be important. So, I don't want any negligence in that. Go, do your work. I will call you later," said Akash, dismissing Arnav's PA. He turned to his PA and asked, "When do I need to go to Mumbai or Kalkatta? When is the meeting scheduled?"
"Sir, actually, all these projects were scheduled a week back. The clients understood the situation and postponed the meetings by themselves. They called us to inform us and leave condolence messages. But now, we need to act, Sir. They are losing confidence and they need assurance, Sir," said Akash's PA.
"So I need to go as soon as possible?" asked Akash.
"Yes, sir," said PA.
"Okay, I will let you know what to do. You go now and prepare PPT about the projects. You leave now," said Akash.
Nodding his head, his PA left the cabin.
"Jiju, do you need to go now?" asked Khushi, suddenly feeling blank. She is staying strong because she knows she has Akash, Aman and NK's support. But now, her confidence is wavering. NK already left, now Akash has to go. And there are these projects which need immediate attention. Who will go? What if Aman also needs to go for them? How many days will they take? Who will help her in finding Arnav Ji? And who will take care of AR in their absence? She doesn't know anything about all the stuff related to offices, business and all. Then who will take care of everything here? What if Shyam uses this opportunity to take control over AR. No, she can't let that happen! NO..., never!
"KHUSHI!" Akash shouted, jerking Khushi hard.
Khushi looked at him and Aman - who came back after talking with ACP, with a blank look.
"What's wrong, Khushi? Why aren't you responding to Akash's call? What are you thinking so deeply? Why are you looking pale suddenly? What happened?" asked Aman with concern.
"I can't let that happen! I can't let him take control. I need to do something. I need to stop him before he takes any step. I can't let him do that!" said Khushi, leaving the duo in confusion.
"What are you talking about, Khushi? Whom are you talking about?" asked Akash. He is getting worried, looking at Khushi's terrified face.
"Aman bhai and Jiju, can you both teach me how business and office work? How to deal with employees? How to tackle the problems in work? How to control employees and all? What to do to run the office smoothly? I need to learn everything, today... no, not today. I need to learn now itself. Please teach me," Khushi asked in a hurry.
"Shh... relax Khushi. What's wrong with you? Of course we will teach you everything. But what's the hurry? It's not easy to learn everything in a few hours! Why are you suddenly so worried?" asked Akash, not understanding anything.
"I need to know and understand everything now itself, before you both go on your trips. I want to take care of this business until you both come back. I can't let Arnav Ji' hardwork go into Shyam's hands. I'm sure, once he comes to know about your absence he will try his best to take control of AR. If he gets success in that, then no one can stop him. He will take everything in his hands. I can't let him do that!" said Khushi, shocking the duo.
Both Akash and Aman looked at each other. They are shocked hearing Khushi's words. But they understood that whatever Khushi said is absolutely true. Shyam can do anything! And they can't let that happen. They need to plan their trips carefully. They can't leave Khushi alone here with that creep trying to use every opportunity.
"We will teach you what you should do in our absence, Khushi. Don't worry. We will never let that man take AR. you please don't take stress," said Aman.
Aman's mobile beeped with a message. He looked at the message and said, "Appointment with ACP got confirmed. We have to meet him in an hour. Lucky enough! ACP is back in the city after almost a month. He went to some official meetings it seems."
"Great! This is what I need now. Let's go," said Khushi and left the cabin.
Both Aman and Akash sighed hard, looking at another ASR. They rushed behind her while Aman called the canteen and asked for a few sandwiches immediately delivered in the parking lot. After collecting the sandwiches, they left for ACP's office.
=============
"Wait a second! Are you telling me that ASR is alive? How sure are you? Whatever you said, is absolutely baseless. And what are you talking about ASR's Jiju? I can't believe that! He is a gentleman. I met him a lot of times in the court. And if he is a bad person, then ASR should have told me. What are you guys trying to do?" asked ACP, looking at the trio.
Hearing ACP's words, anger rose in Khushi.
"Please don't talk like that, particularly when you don't know about the person. I know Shyam Ji more than you. You may have met him professionally, but we know him in our personal lives. You can never guess how bad and cheap he can be. No one knows, other than me, how worst he can behave for whatever he wants. If he can cheat Arnav Ji, then he can cheat anyone. You better know and think before talking," said Khushi, looking at the Police Officer in front of them.
Both Aman and Akash looked at ACP with helpless and apologetic expressions.
"In that case, Mrs ASR, why can't you enlighten me about Mr Shyam? I have all the time. But remember, if I find anything misleading or wrong, I will not hesitate to throw you out! You better remember that you are talking with a Police Officer," said ACP, trying to intimidate the young girl before him, not knowing if she handled and back answered ASR, then no one can scare her.
"Of course, I can. If you have patience and are strong enough, then listen! It happened almost a year back...," with that Khushi started telling from how she met Shyam first time, later their 'accidental meeting', later Shyam being their Pg - to the time of how they found Shyam's talks with MR Roy's assistant. She said everything how he harassed her in Akash and Payal wedding and later how he tried to show Anjali as bad person, and after her marriage with ASR, how he tried to create rift between her and her husband, then in ASR's absence how he tried to enter their room - everything, everything she told them. She took a deep breath after telling everything. She drank water to gulp the erupting cries in her throat. I can't lose my control now. I need to act fast - thought Khushi.
The condition of the three men in the room is the same. They are shocked beyond the limit. Both ACP and Aman looked at the petite girl, who is fighting with an evil man alone, despite having a large family. Akash's condition is not better than theirs. He looked at Khushi and felt failed. That man is torturing her under their nose and no one had any inkling about that. Three men looked at her, controlling her feelings. Their heart went for her.
"And now if he gets to know about Jiju and Aman Bhai's trips, he will definitely take advantage of the situation to get control of AR and everything. Once he gets the control it will be difficult to take back. I know him very well. He is the worst criminal with the wonderful knowledge of Law. He can turn any situation into his favour. And he can convince anyone with his words. Imagine, if he can fool ASR, then others are not an issue for him. But I know him, he can not fool me. If he tries to take anything which is Arnav Ji's, I will kill him with my own hands! Whatever damage or loss he did to me and my Arnav Ji, is more than enough! It's time for him to get the result of his sins. For that I need your help, can you help me? Can you help me, not coming into his sugar coated words? Can you do your best in punishing him? Can you do this Mr ACP - Rudra?" asked Khushi, with determination in her eyes.
Rudra - ACP can see the glimpse of ASR in Mrs ASR. He always had a soft corner for ASR. That doesn't mean he admired him. From the time they met for the first time six years back, whenever he saw ASR, something in ASR's eyes held his heart. On a personal note, he admired ASR's love, care and responsibility towards his family. When he heard the news of ASR's accident, he was so disturbed. He wanted to do something to bring that man back, which was impossible. But after hearing from this tiny petite girl, he is strongly wishing ASR to be alive somewhere out there. If that's the case, no one can stop him from helping them.
"I will help you. If whatever you are saying is true, then I will help you. We will find ASR," said Rudra.
"Thank you, but can we do this without alerting Shyam ji? I don't want to take any risk. And I need your help in securing our employees' and their families' lives," said Khushi.
"We can do that! But before that, I need to know a few more things. Let's start working on this from tomorrow. I will meet you guys in your office. This will be unofficial for me, my authorities and you guys, but for others it should be like official work. I want them to think that I'm taking interest in ASR's case. I will take care of that! You just answer me a few more questions. I want to meet that driver, security person and assistant of Mr Roy. Then we can plan accordingly before you both go on your trips. If ASR is alive out there, I don't want to take any risks! Let's do this," with that all the four of them engrossed in a serious discussion.
:::::::::::::::
Next day Morning
Despite having so many members in the room, the dining hall of Raizada Mansion is muffled with an eerie silence. But it's not the same with a few hearts and minds of the members of the same mansion. Everyone is lost in their deep thoughts. Even though their thoughts are different, the objective is the same - ASR.
Everyone's thoughts got disturbed by the loud calling bell of the Mansion. HP ran to open the door and welcomed the person before asking him to take a seat. He rushed inside to inform them about their guests.
"Nani Ji, ACP sir came to meet you all," said HP.
Akash and Khushi looked at each other in understanding and looked at the shocked face of Shyam. After hearing about ACP's visit, Shyam choked on his food. Anjali helped him with water and asked HP.
"Acp?"
"Ji, Didi. He said he wants to meet all of you," said HP.
"Okay," saying this Nani left for the living room along with others. Shyam walked behind all of them to assess the situation. He needs to know why ACP has come after all of a sudden. He can't take the risk of getting caught for whatever he did. For sure, not when he is almost about to reach his goal. He can't let his hard work go in vain. His thoughts got disturbed by ACP's voice.
"Namaste Nani Ji, My name is Rudra - Assistant Commissioner of Police."
"Namaste beta, Please take your seat. Sorry, but I don't remember meeting with you before. Do you have any work here? Or are you here to meet someone, maybe Damad Ji?" asked Nani.
"Why would he want to meet me, Nani Ji? What are you talking about?" Shyam became hyper and asked in a hurry leaving everyone in the room confused.
"Why are you getting worried, Shyam Ji? Maybe Nani asked because you are a lawyer. He might want to talk with you about a case!" said Anjali, not able to understand her husband's nervousness.
And nothing is missed from Rudra's eyes.
"I'm here to meet you all, to pay my condolences. I'm really sorry for whatever happened with ASR. I wasn't here in the city till yesterday. But I was so disturbed hearing about his accident and departure. I'm so sorry about the loss, Nani Ji. I wish I was here at that time," said ACP, taking Nani Ji's hands in his.
Nani's eyes brimmed with tears. She nodded her head in acceptance.
"It's not your mistake, beta. Why are you sorry about it? It's our fate that he left us, it's our loss," said Nani. Mami stood behind her, supporting her silently. Her eyes never left Shyam's face. She is enjoying his worried condition.
"It's not only your loss Nani Ji. It's our's too. We miss him a lot. We might not be close to him, he might not talk with us freely, But I know him well enough. We know how much he was needed by so many people. For you, he is your grandson, but for us, he is like a god, like a friend, like a mentor and like a life. Without him, so many of us wouldn't be alive today. Trust me Nani Ji, I miss him as much as you all do. I may not be his friend, but for me he is a very good friend. I miss him a lot," said ACP with tears in his eyes.
The occupants of the room stood shocked looking at the person sitting before him. Akash and Khushi shared a look not understanding a bit. They knew that this man would visit them. But hearing his words, they are confused. Because, the emotions in his eyes, can't be a lie. That means, ASR is deeply loved by this person too, as much as by them. The realisation created mixed emotions in Akash and Khushi's hearts.
"I was from a lower middle class family. With a lot of difficulty and hard work, I got a job in the department. I used to get so nervous whenever I went to meet high class people in the start. But when I met ASR for the first time, I felt so comfortable. I learned so many things from him, Nani Ji. I learned how to deal with people, I learned how to tackle the situation. He was the best teacher. Because of him I'm successful in my job and life. Because of him, my family's condition is stable. Because of him, I was able to settle my sisters in their lives. I don't know whether you all know or not, he was supporting so many people like us, out there - Financially, emotionally and morally. He was the main donor, trustee and honorable member for so many organisations. Because of him, so many children are living their dream of studying, having three meals in a day. Because of him, so many elders have shelter on their heads. He was doing so much for society, Nani Ji. So yes, it's our loss too...," concluded Rudra.
Every occupant of the room except one, has a proud expression on their faces. Happy tears kept rolling on their faces.
"And now, I also want to know Mrs Raizada's concern about something and take permission from her to proceed further," said Rudra, looking at everyone and stopping his gaze on Khushi.
"What are you talking about, Mr Rudra?" asked Akash, not understanding his next step.
"I got a few unofficial requests and complaints about ASR's accident. I am really surprised knowing that no one has concentrated on the accident part. So, if you are okay with this, I want to re-open the case," said Rudra, leaving everyone in the hall shocked.
"But the inspector said it's a clear accident, no trace of any intentional deeds? He said he did a complete investigation on this!" said Khushi with a thudding heart. She was hell angry at this man. She clearly said that she doesn't want to alert Shyam before they bring Arnav to home. But here this man is doing the same - alerting the evil man.
Before she said anything, they heard Anjali saying, "What's the use now sir? Our brother has gone, he will not come back."
"Yes, Mr Rudra, whatever my wife said is right. We are already in a lot of pain after his departure. But if we come to know that he was killed, it will be more difficult for us to bear. Please don't make it harder for us. Please leave this where it is. It will be better for everyone," said Shyam.
Khushi looked at the man with disgust in her eyes.
Rudra nodded his head in understanding. "I can understand your feelings. I'm just doing my duty here. If you all prefer to leave it then I'm no one to proceed. But, if you feel like going further, please feel free to call me. I know somewhere outside this world, ASR must be in peace. And I don't want to disturb him by going against you all. He doesn't deserve that," Rudra sighed hard and continued, "Okay, I will take all your leave now. Once again, please feel free to call me for any assistance. Nani Ji, please take care of yourself. This is my number, you can call me at any time whenever you want. I can't be your Arnav, but I am like your grandson. Please don't hesitate to call me if you need something - anything. I will go now."
Rudra left from there, taking blessings for Nani who blessed him with her heart. She liked this boy.
"I don't like this man," announced Shyam.
"Why Shyam ji?" asked Anjali not understanding why her husband is so uncomfortable with this police officer. He always works with them, right? Then why is he so twitchy with this man?
"You are asking me that, Rani Sahiba? Here we are still grieving Saale sahib's death. And he wants to add more to our pain? And what's there to investigate? What was he saying? What was he trying to prove? Our Arnav left this world because of an accident, what's there to think about that?" asked Shyam.
"Why Jiju? Bhai has so many business rivals. Anyone could have done that to him. What if we allowed him to do the investigation? I think it will clear our doubts," said Akash.
"Are you out of your mind Akash? Do you even know what you are talking about? Do you understand what will be our condition, if the media gets a whiff of this? Do you understand what AR's condition will be after this news? Do you have any idea what will happen to Rani Sahiba and Khushi Ji? You are not understanding Akash... the media will literally harass them for the information. I don't want to take any risk with this family's safety. I know how much Arnav tried to keep all of us away from the media and scandals. Now, I can't let that happen. And it's good this ACP backed off from the investigation. There will not be any disturbance in our lives," said Shyam murmuring to himself 'I can be relaxed about this.'
Khushi and Akash who heard the last part, now understand Rudra's intention about talking this in front of Shyam. He wanted Shyam to be relaxed and carefree or maybe careless. Both looked at each other and prayed God to punish the culprit and evil.
...to be continued
I hope you guys liked the update. Looking forward to your comments. And I would like to have your over all review and opinion on this story till now. But please don't be harsh :P
