Chapter 48: Unexpected turn of events

Arjun rubbed his eyes and find himself completely naked. He got up in an hurry and saw a girl lying beside him. He slowly looked at her face and get biggest shock of his life.
''What the hell are you doing in my house aditi?'' She was tongue tied and was unable to look back into his eyes that was asking lots of question.  He look at the floor and saw his clothes lying on the floor. When he was not able to hold himself, he wear his clothes and grabbed her shoulder aggressively.

Arjun: ''Please tell me nothing happened between us..Please aditi..i will die if..'' Holding her emotions, she slowly met his eyes. Silence filled the room as their gaze studied each other. She was tongue-tied. He grabbed his head and tried to remember but everything is blur. He bang his hand on the desk frustrated.

Aditi: ''Don't stress yourself...calm down..'' She made him sit and gave him plane glass of water and in return he threw it making it shrugged into pieces and shook her.  All she could see was hatred, immense hatred for her. Hatred of betrayal in friendship. All she desired to seen in them was love, immeasurable love just for him. She have never desire anything in her life.

Arjun: ''I DON"T WANT ANYTHING FIRST ANSWER MY QUESTION..YOUR SILENCE IS KILLING ME..WHAT YOU DOING IN MY HOUSE AND WHAT HAPPEN BETWEEN US LAST NIGHT..TELL ME EVERYTHING I CAN'T BARE IT ANYMORE...ADITI YOU KNEW HOW MUCH I LOVE KHUSHI..HOW DARE YOU COME CLOSE TO ME..TELL ME THE TRUTH RIGHT NOW.. ? He greeted his teeth.

She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe before uttering her mouth.

Aditi: ''Relax arjun..Dont you trust your friend..do you think I will ever cross the line of our friendship which you adore so much..i respect you like the way you do..you loves khushi and I will never imagine in my dreams to take her place that holds your heart...last night you were not well and khushi was supposed to go back early due to one urgent assignment so I thought to drop you home. While on the way, we have been caught with heavy rain. However, I change your clothes as you were continuously shivering..'' She finished it off by avoiding his gaze. He heave a sigh and turn to look at her. He felt guilty and before she say another word, he hold her into his warm embrace. Well for obvious reason she hide the matter from arjun.

Arjun: ''I m sorry Aditi..i m so sorry I misunderstood the whole situation..i got so scared I thought I might lost khushi..she will never forgive me if I..'' She look away holding her emotions to broke down.

''I would never be able to face her if anything happened between us..'' Her heart swelled in pain and sorrow. She composed herself and forced to smile before pulling off.

Aditi: You will never loose her..you deserve all the happiness Arjun..always keep smiling like this'' she said by touching his face. He kissed her hands that was tucking him. She gulped her pain down her throat.

Arjun: ''Jiske pass itni pyaari dost ho vo kabhi dukhi ho sakhta hain..''(A person who got a sweet friend like you can never be upset..'')

Arjun: ''You always made me feel special but I never get any chance to do anything for you..'' She bitterly smile.

Aditi: ''You don't need to do anything Arjun..you only be happy in your life that is enough for me..'' He look on proud and lucky to got a true friend like her. He took her hand and nodded adorably.

Arjun: ''You are such a sweet girl.. i pray for you to get all your wishes and dream come true..'' his voice softened while uttering last sentence.

Aditi: Jise main chahti hu vo mujhe kabhi nahi mil sakhta..'' (I can never get the person i love..'') She stare him.

Arjun: ''What..'' he asked not getting her words.

Aditi: ''Nothing..get ready fast..khushi must be waiting for us..'' She stammered before moving out the room.

                                     *****

Khushi was pacing restlessly holding mobile in her grip. She was feeling guilty of those harsh words she blunt last night out of haste even though she somehow aware arnav wasn't meant by what he did on the dance floor but yet she was unable to control her anger and put all those accusation.

''Why I'm feeling bad..? I shouldn't behave like that.. i did right thing..he deserve it..firstly he spoil my mood how could he kiss me without my consult. What if Arjun had seen us together. Arjun had made all arrangement just to bring smile on my face and make me feel comfortable around him and what I did, I left the place without greeting him..He was supposed to be sad. I wanted to apologize him and rang him twice and thrice and his phone is unreachable. Even Aditi di not receiving her call. Where is di?'' She then realize di didn't escort home since last night. Worridely, she began trying her number numerous times. In all those chaos, she forgot about her di.

The main door been opened with Aditi walking in. Khushi rushed to meet her.

Khushi: ''Di where were you..Thank god you are safe i was so worried!'' She looked at khushi absent minded.

''Kal raat kaha the aap?'' (Where were you last night) She asked concernly touching her shoulder. Aditi literally pushed her.

''Di you are scaring me! What's wrong?'' She shake her.

Aditi: ''Kal raat.. main aur arjun...hum don..o? She mumbled not in a condition to react. Khushi can see the same Aditi which she seen when karan passed away.

Khushi: ''You and Arjun, what di..? Aditi pressed her lips to stiffen her sob.

Aditi: I think I'm a bit worn out..'' She turned away from khushi. She followed her sensing something miserable and saw her lying on the bed lifelessly, staring at something plainly.

Khushi: ''Di..tell me the truth..I knew you well..something definitely bothering you..you with arjun yesterday? Right What he said to you? I swear I kill him if he try to hurt you..'' She almost burst out.
Hearing his name, the memories of last night freshen her mind. It wonded her heart knowing he didn't remember anything by what they shared.

Khushi: ''Did he fought with you?''

Aditi: 'Leave me alone khushi..'' She said in plain protest as she not wanted to hear anything for her or anyone. Arjun words was enough to bruise her heart.

Khushi nodded and closed the door behind letting Aditi to rest as she need to found out the matter and went straight to Arjun's house.

Khushi: ''What had happened between you and aditi..do you knew how much she is traumatized..''

Khushi shoot him. He was dumb- folded wondering why is she sad? Probably  I was a bit harsh to her.

Khushi: ''I am asking you something idiot?''

Arjun: ''Khushi woh actually..we had a fight..'' He not wanted to hide anything from khushi but preferred to cover the situation for time being. Currently he need to cheer Aditi. She eyed him furiously.

Khushi: ''Are you nuts...you were not unknown about her mental state..you and me both aware with how much difficulty and hardship we bring her out of that shock..yesterday was karan death anniversary..she was supposed to be missing him but you...'' She fumed.

Arjun: ''Khushi I..'' He feel guilty.
Khushi: ''Shut up..not a word. Now its your duty to rectify the mistake. Arjun looked on apologetically and khushi fumed. He hold his ears guiltily. He was not known his words have that effect on aditi.

Arjun: I promise I would bring smile on her face once again..'' He assured her. She calm down a bit and swung to her feet before rushing out of his house.

At Night:
Khushi was in slumber when she sense Arnav near, very near to her. She can feel his touch on her soft skin. A smile spread on her lips when he plant a soothing kiss on her forehead. She tugged his hand against her chest entangling their hands together.
''Arnav..'' She open her eyes delightfully and look everywhere but there is no one. She was hallucinating him. Her face dropped. She laid on the bed and tried to sleep. His painful expression came before her eyes. Last night he left without saying a word and now when she wanted to confront, to fight, to shout him, he is avoiding me. She brushes all those thoughts and closed her eyes. Where her life is leading? Did she ever get what she want? But what she want? One side she claim to hate him and other side she wanted to see him? Do I still have feelings for him? No!! a big no! She open her eyes and stood up. She lost her patience as Arnav's thoughts covered her mind.

''Khushi..'' his voice was like a piano to her. She smiled. He was walking to reach her but then she saw a huge truck heading behind him in a high speed. She raised her hand to stop him. A figure too raised his hand to touch her and a truck came hitting him dead.

''Ar..navvv!!''

Khushi woke up with a jerk sweating badly. She look here and there. Her heart was beating loudly.

Aditi just sat in a corner of the washroom and cried her heart out. Several hours passed but she was as miserable as she entered her room. She open the tab of the shower. Water is flowing continuously but it is not easing the pain she is experiencing within her heart. She had lied to him! Why I didn't tell him truth..why?

''If I told him, he would have hated me. I cannot bear his hatred. At-least I had a consolation he consider me his friend..'' She closed her eyes and tried to forget the night that changed her entire life.

*Flashback* (Party night)

After arnav khushi confrontation, khushi got very depressed. So she decided to return home. When she went to inform di, someone trashed in the middle and juice spilled on aditi's dress. Khushi took her toward washroom to clean the strains. Her whole dress get spoiled and khushi insisted her to change  and made her wear her own saree which Arjun gifted khushi  until another dress haven't got arranged for her to wear. Aditi first protested but by knowing Arjun was searching them, Khushi told aditi to join him and after arranging another dress, she exited home later-wards. Aditi nodded and went towards the club as informed by waiter of him whereabouts. Nk who wanted to drug aditi was hell shocked knowing that juice was drank by Arjun not her.

Aditi's eyes widen as she sees arjun was dancing crazily on the dance floor. She don't know how to handle him and thought to call khushi But unfortunately khushi already exited out of hotel. She tried to dragged him out but he was in no term to listen. He pulled her close and began dancing with her intimately.

Arjun: ''You are looking gorgeous in this saree..'' He kissed her cheeks thinking it was khushi.  She felt awkward as some people eyeing them.

Aditi: ''Arjun..stop it..you are not in your senses lets go home... She put his hand around her shoulder and managed to guide him toward the exit. Nk blood boil seeing them together. He wanted to beat him who dare to get close to his love but somehow control his anger.

Aditi started the car and drove toward his apartment. She rang khushi but she was not answering.  She don't knew what to do and how to handle im.

Arjun was leaning over her and began kissing her cheeks. Aditi was clueless why he is behaving like this. She tried to control him but of no use. He was started kissing her neck. She was driving as fast as possible and trying to balance him but instead he was hovering upon her.

''Arjun please..'' After reaching, she took him out of car and lead him inside his apartment. On putting him to his bed, she got up to call khushi. A sudden pull looses her balance and phone fell out of her hand. Arjun moved on top of him and gaze her like never before.

''What you doing..leave m..'' He stop her voice by placing his finger.

''I really like you khushi...please don't leave me ever'' She looked him unblinkingly. Looking at her saree, he is thinking I'm khushi? She shook her head and tried stopping him.

Something stirring inside her by their closeness.

She pushed him and turned to got up when a strong pull from behind unwind her saree. She cover herself by her arms.

Aditi: ''You are misunderstanding me..i m not khu..'' She tried to explain but he stop her voice by slamming her lips. Her eyes narrowed. She tried moving out he was not allowing him.

Arjun(Drowning at her): ''I love you..i love you please don't leave me..'' His magical confession drive her crazy and she forgot everything. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she responded him back. She felt him grabbing her and pushing her on the bed. He left many kisses and Aditi just wrapped her arm around him. There clothes scattered the ground. Her mind was decluded in his love, going completely blank.  He marked her by his love.

They become two body one soul. The bed sheet covered her breast. She could still feel his mouth on her. She lifted her eyes and saw him sleeping like a baby. She ruffled his hairs and kiss his chest before moving out of bed.

She blushed so hard and had shut her eyes trying to re feel the passionate love making they shared a moment ago. That's when she heard him.

''Khu...sh..i..'' Blood rushed her face. She took few steps backward when reality stuck her.

''What I did..?'' She closed her mouth uncontrollably. Her heart started throbbing very fast due to fear. She kneel down on the floor and began thinking about the consequence of what she had done. Tears started flowing from her eyes.

*Flashback end*

She wiped her tears and tried to be strong. Its was all my mistake. Arjun was not in his senses but I was. I shouldn't take advantage of him. Why I didn't stop him? She cursed herself for the mistake she committed.
I did this sin and I will rectify it. Before anyone doubt me I will go far away from Arjun's life. I won't let anyone knew about it at any cost..this truth will always keep hidden in my heart..I m sorry Arjun..i'm really sorry please forgive me..i promise I will never came in between your happiness and love..you are my everything..i love you more than my life.. I can't see you with someone else..'' She got up instantly and decided to leave this city for the sake of his happiness.

                                    *****
At 11:45 PM

Khushi stood outside the main door of raizada mansion waiting for HP to let her in.

Hp: ''I m sorry mam you can't go in..''

Khushi: ''Please hpji hamara unse milna bahat jaruri hain..samajne ki koshish kijiye ..'' (Its very important to meet him..try an understand) she pleaded.

Hp: ''I can't allow you inside at this hour if you wanted to meet Asr then come tomorrow its too late now..'' He refused. Khushi continuous pleaded him s he made a call to him for his permission.

Arnav(In irritated tone): ''What the hell..why you call me at this time dammit?''

Hp: ''Arnav bhaiya there is something I need to tell you..''

Arnav(Still with his laptop): ''What?''

HP: ''Its about khushi mam.. she..'' The word sink in hp mouth when he heard his rude voice.
Arnav(With greeted teeth): ''I don't want to hear..'' He disconnected and switched off the laptop and stood up in rage. Her words echoing in his ears constantly. He was pacing ruthlessly.

Hp: ''Sorry mam..Arnav bhaiya don't want anyone to disturb him and currently his temper is high..i suggest you to go back as no one at home, all went for satsang..'' She get sad and anyhow wanted to see him once.

Khushi: ''I won't go anywhere without meeting him...'' She stated adamantly.

Hp: ''He will fire me if he get to know I allow you in..''

Khushi: ''I promise nothing will happen..'' he made a small prayer and let her in. She directly ran toward his bedroom to face angry lion den.

That dangerous dream trembled her completely. She just wanted to see him once and assure herself he is safe. She knocked on his door. After waiting for while, when he didn't come up she get afraid and directly went inside and look around to got one glimpse of him.

Her breathing get erratic by not getting him anywhere. Finally she saw him standing at the poolside with his back toward him. His ears sense khushi anklet.  He was staring at stars when he felt her soft arms around his back. She avoided everything and ran to hug him. He felt happy seeing her but then again went to Asr mood remembering everything what she said.

Khushi: ''Thank god nothing happen to you..i got so scared..'' Furiously he turned around and pushed her away.

Arnav: ''What the hell you doing to my house?

Khushi: ''Arnav.. woh..''

Arnav: Get the hell out of my sight! She opened her mouth to say something but jerked back by his loud voice.

I said get out!!!!!!!!!!
