Trigger Warning: Suicide Contemplation/Attempt in this chapter

Alex's POV

It's been about a month since I last saw Kara, and it hurts too much for me to even focus on my job at the DEO. I think even Maggie caught on to why I've been distant. She told me to call her when I figure things out.

I haven't called her in weeks. I have to move on, I can't be happy until I do. I grabbed my phone and found Maggie's contact. I was about to call her when a breach opened. Two men jumped out. "Cisco, I think this is it." A man in a red suit told the man with weird looking glasses. "Are you Alex Danvers?" I grabbed my gun. "Who are you?" "Barry, Kara's friend. She's in trouble." I started freaking out internally. "What happened to her?!" "Some guy calling himself Music Meister attacked her and now she is unconscious on my Earth. Cisco, is the breach stable?" "If we leave now, it will be." Barry jumped through the breach. I jumped in after him and nearly puked on my way through.

I walked into the medbay in the building Barry led me into. I saw Kara on a bed, not moving. The only proof that she was alive was the beeping of the heart monitor. I ran over to her side. "Oh my God Kara!" Before I could do anything else, I heard a voice from the main room. "Ah, Alex Danvers, I see they finally brought you here. Now the show can begin." I grabbed my gun. "What did you do to her?!" "Nothing that will hurt her, well unless she dies in her little world, but, at least she'll have a friend." He did something to Barry and he fell to the ground. "Barry!" A dark skinned woman screamed. "Now that they are incapacitated, Central City is mine for the taking." Music Meister vanished.

3 Hours Later: Kara's POV

Barry and I were standing outside of this dimension's version of Iris' room. Barry and I kicked the door in and my heart plummeted. 'Millie' was kissing Alex or whatever her name is. I stepped out and leaned against a railing. I tried to stop the tears rolling down my face. "Kara, c'mon, it's not Alex. C'mon we have to finish this." "Alright."

Alex's POV

I walked out of the pipeline prison with tears running down my face, there was no way to get Kara out of the other dimension she was trapped in. I ran outside to cool off, I had no alcohol to help calm me. I let out a sob. I didn't know how long I stayed like that. I didn't care.

"Alex, we need you inside now." I heard Cisco say through the camera speaker. I ran to the medbay where everyone was. "We have an idea on how to get them out." After he told me the plan, he grabbed Barry's and Kara's arm. "Grab my shoulder."

Everything blackened and the light returned, we stood in the middle of a street. I ran over to Kara, she had a bullet wound in her stomach. I started panicking. "Kara! Please, stay with me!" Tears ran down my face. I acted on impulse and pressed our lips together. Moments later, she was kissing back. I smiled and pulled away. We were back in the medbay. "What happened?" She asked in a raspy voice. I told her everything I knew about the situation. Realization dawned on her. Tears rolled down her face.

Kara's POV

I stood up. "You should go home, to Maggie. That kiss was just a fluke. You didn't mean it. We both know that." I stepped forward. "You don't love me, leave this city, leave this Earth, leave me alone!" She started crying. "Kara, calm down." "Why Barry? I came here to get away from her, and she followed!"

Alex's POV

I walked outside the medbay while Kara went on. I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. I started writing.

Kara

You want me to leave? I will, but know this. I do love you, I have loved you. I dated Maggie to get over you, but, I couldn't. I couldn't because I love you so much. I've never done anything to act on my feelings until today. I wanted to kill myself after you left the first time. I nearly ended it once, I had the gun to my head and my finger on the trigger. Maggie stopped me. No one can stop it this time.

I taped the note to one of the monitors. I walked to the elevator. I took it to the roof.

Kara's POV

I was watching Alex write on a piece of paper. She taped it to the monitor and walked out. I grabbed the paper, unfolded it and sped read it. I ran out the front door and flew up to the roof. "Alex, don't do this." She ignored me and jumped off.

I flew after her. I grabbed her and pulled her close. "Don't ever do that again Alex." She let out a tearful sob. I took her to my room in STAR labs. I put her on my bed. "What were you thinking Alex?" "I was thinking about a relationship I will never have." "Alex, I read the note, why didn't you tell me? Why did you break my heart, both times?" "I'd been worrying that you'd realize that you didn't love me, and that you'd be disgusted with me for loving you back, for corrupting you." "Alex, you're not corrupting me.  I'm in love with you. No one could ever make me think you've corrupted me. Ever." I initiated the kiss this time. She kissed back instantly. "Maggie is so gonna kill me." "I doubt it. I think she knows that I'm in love with you." I kissed her again.

Alex's POV

I woke up with Kara's body against mine and her arm around my stomach. I adjusted in the bed so we were facing each other and she opened her eyes. "Hey beautiful." She smiled and kissed me. "Ready to head back home?" "Yeah. Let's go..."

Cisco created another device for us to get home. "Don't destroy it this time Kara." "I won't... I have no reason to." With that said, Kara pressed the button on the device and we jumped through.
