Y/N's POV:

I arrive at the cave after Bane's attack, searching for Alfred

Y/N: Alfred?! Alfred?!

I see Alfred underneath some debris

Y/N: No, no, no please

I remove the debris that are on him and get him out

Y/N: Alfred...you can't.

Alfred: Don't add me to the weight you carry.

He closes his eyes and I recall everything that has happened to me. My parents, the trauma and more. 

I can't let him die...not after everything he's done for me

In a fit of rage, I punch the ground and sparkles come out of my shock gloves

I then remember what Electrocutioner told me

"I'm-a kill you. Then, I'm-a jumpstart your heart"

I activate the shock gloves and use them as a defribilator on Alfred

Y/N: Come on, damnit.

I manage to save him and take him to the med bay

I take off my mask and stand in front of the computer

Bane took Kate and I almost lost Alfred

I almost lost my best friend tonight

I almost lost the man that looked after me since I was a baby

I almost lost my father

I hug him with tears in my eyes 

After that, Lucky comes running towards me

He must have been hiding when Bane attacked

I pet him

Y/N: There you are buddy. Sorry I wasn't here.

Alfred: I know I haven't always been supportive of what you do, but I understand now. Go. They need you out there. Kate needs you.

Y/N: I can't defend New York. I can't even defend my own home.

Alfred: Now is not the time for doubt.

Y/N: I can't do it. I can't stop them.

Alfred: No. You can't...not on your own. But it's high time you realize that you're a man not an island. And a man's strength comes not from just brawn and intelligence but also from his allies.

He then turns on the police scanner

Scanner: Priority one alert: The Joker has escaped from his call and is leading the riots at Blackgate. Repeat: The Joker has taken over the entire prison. Multiple casualties, hostages, civilians and prison guards. Again, we have lost Rikers. Captain Gordon is calling on anyone, anyone for assistance.

I then look at the computer screen and see that the tracker in Kate's suit is in Rikers. Bane must have taken her there and started a riot

Alfred hands me my mask

Alfred: They need you.

Y/N: No, they need us.

I get in the Batwing and head off to Rikers Island. It's time to end this

When I infiltrate the prison, I see an inmate with a gun pointed to a hostage

I then approach him slowly and take him down with a chokehold

I go talk to the hostage, a blond woman with a lab coat

Y/N: Are you okay?

Harleen: Whats it to ya?

Y/N: You were almost killed.

Harleen Quinzel: Eh. Occupational hazard. Look, I know why you're here. He's in the panopticon. And he's waiting for you.

I make my way to the panopticon and see that Joker is holding a knife to Kate's neck

Y/N: Let her go.

Joker: I understand you. You had a chance to let me die and you didn't take it. I bet right now you're wishing you had. I've killed a lot of people, I've brought the city to it's knees, crippled the police force and it's not even New Year's Eve.

The crowd full of prisoners cheer

Joker: Zip it!

Bane then comes to them

Bane: Let's do this.

Joker: Ok. Ok. So. What our friend Bane holds in his hand is a heart monitor. Once he clamps it on, every beat of his vacant little heart will charge the battery on this electric chair. And when it's fully charged...BZZZZZ!!!! So either you kill Bane...

Y/N: No, I won't kill him.

Bane: But you will. You will fight me with all your resolve. Or you will die. Someone is going to die: You, me or the clown. The question of which one of us it is - is in your hands.

Bane drops down and gets ready to fight Batman

Third Person POV:

Batman begins the fight with Bane

Bane: A compassionate man would be home mourning the loss of his servenat and life-long companion right now.

Y/N: A vengeful man would come here to stop you.

Bane uses his wrist device and gets stronger

Batman manages to dodge his punches, but Bane is just way too fast and stonger for him now

He grabs the Bat with both hands and lifts him up before  snapping his back against his knee

Bane then steps on Batman's neck with his boot

Meanwhile, Gordon arrives at the place and sees Joker tied to an electric chair while two of his goons hold Kate hostage

Gordon: Don't move!

Thug: Maybe you shouldn't move.

Gordon shoots their legs and Kate handcuffs them right after

He then tries to get the Joker out of the chair, but the clown disarms him and knocks Kate down

Joket ties Gordon to the chair and takes his gun

Joker: Jim, Jim, Jim, Jim. Have a seat, Jimbo. We'll fry together like two little potato latkes.

Batman was watching the scene from where he was, with Bane's foot crushing his neck

Bane: May you find the peace in death that you did not find in life.

Y/N: I'm not looking for peace.

He activates his shock gloves and punches Bane's leg, making him remove his foot from Batman's neck

Bane then charges at Batman, but the vigilante leaps over him and throws a batarang to the tubes connected to the super soldier's body, making him go back to normal

Batman connects punch after punch at Bane's face before using his shock gloves to temporarily stop Bane's heart

Joker: He did it!

He gets up from the chair and points the gun at Kate and Gordon

Y/N: The game is over, Joker. Now let them go!

Kate: Put the gun down, you freak!

Joker: How about I put you down?

He shoots, but Gordon jumps in front of her, taking the bullet

Joker then runs away

After that, Captain Stacy arrives at the scene

George: Thank God you had your vest on.

Gordon: He's...he's got my gun!

Y/N: Gordon, Stacy. I need your help to stop the Joker.

George: Our help? You're the so-called vigilante. Or is one kill enough for you tonight?

Y/N: Bane's in cardiopulmonary arrest. I have only minutes to resuscitate him before it's too late.

Gordon: You mean you didn't...

Y/N: That's not how I do things. Now go and take Ms. Bishop to safety.

Batman uses the gloves to bring Bane back to life, but when he comes back, Bane grabs Batman by the neck

Bane: You leave no choice, Mr. Wayne.

He then picks up a syringe with green liquid and injects himself with it, making him grow bigger than before

Batman gets thrown down and thinks fast before using his explosive gel to blow up the floor and fall to the one below

He hides and contacts Alfred

Y/N: Alfred, what did Bane just inject himself with?

Alfred: It's TN-1, sir. An attempt on replicating the original super soldier serum, and if you don't take Bane out in ten minutes, the TN-1 in his body will reach its full potency and he will take you out in one hit.

Batman approaches Bane and pushes him against an electric holding cell

He uses every last inch of strength left in his body to punch Bane and defeat him

Y/N: It's over, Alfred. I've defeated Bane.

Bane then suddenly grabs Batman and pins him against the wall, punching him so hard the wall breaks

He then comes charging at Batman

Batman then uses his grappling gun to tie up Bane's leg and make him fall face first

He ties Bane up

Bane: The Bat Man. I will... I must find the Bat Man.

Y/N: Good luck with that.

Alfred: Master Y/N, can you hear me?

Y/N: Yes. And thank you for the help with Bane.

Alfred: I trust he's down for good this time.

Y/N: He's secure. And It appears the TN-1 Bane took damaged his memory...permanently.

Alfred: Does that mean he won't be revealing your identity?

Y/N: Looks that way.

Alfred: Glad to hear it, sir. And the Joker?

Y/N: He's still on the loose, but not for long.

Batman gets out of there

A couple of minutes later, he finds Gordon with the Warden

Y/N: Where's the Joker?

Gordon: He went that way, towards the chapel.

When he arrives at the chapel, he sees Joker laughing by himself

Joker: Oh Bats, what a night!

Batman then picks up Joker by the collar

Joker: Fresh of a kill and back for more, eh?

Y/N: Bane's still alive.

Joker: Now that's not funny...

He points a gun at Batman after punching him

Joker: All this rage. All directed at me, and for what? You know if you'd actually let me finish a sentence, you might learn something. You might learn that we're not so different.

Y/N: You need to learn to shut up!

He disarms Joker and throws him to the other side of the room

The clown hits a window and picks some glass shards that are on the ground

Joker: You just can't get it through your thick skull! We both exist because of them!

Y/N: Give up. You lost!

He starts beating up the Joker mercilessly

Joker: That's why you do it, isn't it? You like the way it feels. It's what you need. Come on, baby! Beat me 'til your knuckles bleed... And why quit there? You know there's only one way to stop me.

Batman then starts choking Joker, but stops, punching him and knocking him out

After that, Gordon and Stacy show up at the chapel

Gordon: Any one of my guys would have killed him

Y/N: This city deserves better. There's been too much deaths over the last days.

George: I'm sorry, but we still have to bring you in 

Someone talks at their radio, distracting the two policemen and allowing Batman to disappear

George: How did he do that?

Gordon: You get used to it.

Batman now stands on the top of the prison, watching the cop cars and ambulances arrive and containing the riot
