Y/N's POV:

The first six months of the year have been going well so far. Kate's company is thriving ever since her mother was arrested. Kate even said she'd cooperate with the FBI to help deal with all the evidence of the crimes Bishop Security commited during Eleanor's reign. 

Mayor Hill officially re-opened the Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the criminally insane as a form trying to win more votes for his upcoming re-election campaign. He also nominated Captain Gordon as the new police comissioner as a political move.

A businessman from Boston named Norman Osborn bought the old Avengers tower for his company, Oscorp. I'm not sure what to think of him yet...I've blown up my quota of "trustworthy businessmen" with Ferris already. And look how that turned out.

No sign of the Avengers...which makes me paranoid of the imminent dangers in the world. Maybe I should think about assembling a new team of superpowered individuals. Joker managed to wreak havoc in Rikers island in just one night. Imagine what would happen if he manages to start a riot in Arkham...or maybe even in the Raft. But I can't think about this right now, I have to protect my city at all costs.

Batman has become a symbol in the last days. After I dealt with some more of the assassins Joker had hired like Deadshot, the criminals started talking like if I was a supernatural being. Not human, able to teleport, super strength, and a lot of other things I heard in my nights of crime-fighting.

Joker and Freeze were the first criminals to be locked away in the new Arkham Asylum

Killer Croc is about to be a prisoner there, but as soon as the Raft is finished, he's gonna be transferred there with other villains that are not criminally insane, just dangerously powerful

In my nights of patrol, I met with Spider-Man, who was also doing his job on protecting the city

I decided not to tell him that I know about his secret identity

Also, after my New Year's Eve party, I had a meeting with Harvey Dent about his campaign for District Attorney. I agreed to back his campaign financially and hope for him to bring more criminals to justice...acting within the confines of the law.

And Kate...we've been going strong. Always having each other's back, and caring for one another. She moved in with me to Wayne Manor, but she just couldn't sell her family's penthouse, which is understandable. 

Alfred loves walking Lucky every day. Everytime that Lucky behaves like a good boy, Alfred gives him pizza rolls as reward

One of my nights patrolling, I had an encounter with Shiva. She was one of the assassins hired by the Joker and one of my training colleagues from the time I was being trained by Master Kirigi. She didn't attack me, but she told me that her Master was a fan of my work.

When I asked her if she was talking about Kirigi, she denied and wouldn't tell me the name of her new Master.

I then realised who was the Master Shiva was talking about...

Ra's...

(A/N: Oh, and just so we to make it clear, Y/N spent 5 years training abroad in different places of the world. He met Shiva, Kirigi and Ra's in these 5 years. The events that ocurred during this time period are similar to the ones in the Batman: The Knight comic)

Ra's is a maniac, and if he ever decides to step foot in New York, I'll have to stop him no matter what. And with Ra's being the topic of a conversation, there's no escaping from thinking about Talia and what we had during those five years I spent out of New York.

It was special up until she betrayed me

And that reminds me...I never told Kate anything about my previous relationships. Well...my problematic relationships. Talia is a servant to her psycho father and their crusade of eliminating the criminals by killing them...I don't do that, so when she offered me a seat by her side in the infamous League of Assassins, I refused.

And problematic relationship number two...Z.

She and I definitely were good to each other, but she tried to manipulate my mind to reveal my traumas to her. She thought it was a good thing, but it wasn't. I don't judge her, though. Z always was kind and thought I was able to fight my inner demons. And besides, she was always helping her father with some wizarding mission. And I didn't want any part in that.

Maybe one day I'll tell Kate the full truth.

Right now, I'm getting ready to go to a circus attraction with Kate. We're watching a family of trapeze artists from Jersey named The Flying Graysons. I thought it would be nice to distract myself of vigilantism for tonight. Besides, New York can be safe if Batman takes a night off.
