Y/N's POV:

After Spider-Man saved me and Kate, the three of us search for Alfred

Spider-Man: So...were you in the neighborhood?

Y/N: Something like that.

Spider-Man: I didn't thought you were real some days ago. I mean, I'd keep believing you were a myth if you didn't appear on the news.

Y/N: I'm a fan of your work, Spider-Man.

Spider-Man's goes silent for a moment

He turns to Kate and then he faces me

Spider-Man: You...Batman is a fan of my work!

Y/N: I need you to look for more hostages and get them out of the manor.

Spider-Man: Yes, sir.

Spider-Man leaves us and searches for the hostages

After that, me and Kate go to the library and see that they've set some parts of it on fire

We also see Alfred, Vicki and some other hostages being guarded by Penguin's men

I grapple up and seconds later, I see Spider-Man stealthly take down two goons and put them in a web cocoon

He then gives me a thumbs up

I see a goon passing down a vantage point where I am

I then grab him in an inverted takedown before letting him go with a cable tied to his leg preventing him from falling

The last Penguin thug sees that and grabs Alfred, putting a gun to his head

Goon: I'll kill him! I swear to God!

I drop down and face him while standing on the fire

Goon: I'll do it! I swear I'll do it!

I lunge towards him and grab his gun

Y/N: No...you won't.

I break his hand and he screams in pain

Vicki then puts her head against a door

Vicki: They've got Ferris Boyle in the next room. I think they're going to kill him.

Y/N: Spider-Man, get these people to safety. I'll get Ferris.

Third Person POV:

Batman opens the door to the hallway and sees some of Penguin's men surrounding Ferris

Goon: It's the freaking Bat!

They point their guns at the vigilante, but he throws a batarang, disarming them

He fights them and knocks them down easily 

Batman then picks up Ferris from the ground

Y/N: We need to get you out of here.

Ferris: I...I heard about you.

Just as Ferris says that, Mr. Freeze shoots his freeze ray at Batman, freezing Batman in place

Mr. Freeze: I have no quarrel with you

Y/N: Then you crashed the wrong party.

Freeze walks up to Ferris and grabs him

Ferris: Fries? W-What do you want with me?

Mr. Freeze: Just a moment of your time.

They walk away

A couple of minutes later, Batman manages to break the ice and heads to the ballroom

There, he sees that Freeze and Boyle have escaped in a chopper

After that, he sees some goons surounding him, one of which has a freeze gun

He dodges their attacks and fighs them

But as he was fighting Penguin's men, the goon that had a freeze gun attempts to shoot Batman

Out of nowhere, Kate tackles Batman, but ends up getting frozen by the freeze gun

Batman sees this and throws a batarang at the nitrogen tank on the goon's back, making him go flying across the ballroom

Y/N: Oh no, no, no. Why did you do this?

Kate coughs

Y/N: I'm gonna get you out of there. Just relax, Kate.

He punches the ice, breaking it and setting Kate free

Batman then holds her in his arms

Kate: It's...cold...will you hold me?

He hugs her tightly

Y/N: I'm here for you.

Batman then sees a goon crawling trying to escape

Y/N: I'll be back.

Batman goes up to the goon and puts his boot to his neck

Y/N: Where is he taking Ferris?

Goon: I...I don't know. I promise!

Y/N: Do you have any idea how many of your friends I sent to the hospital the past days?

Goon: Okay! One of Penguin's dealers. He's doling out the weapons Freeze gave us on the Lower East Side. I swear that's all I know!

Y/N knocks him down and goes back to Kate

Y/N: Hey, don't pass out on me.

After that, he takes Kate to the medbay in the Batcave and puts a lot of blankets on her while Alfred takes care of her

Alfred: It seems that Ms. Bishop has got hypothermia, sir.

Y/N: It's all my fault. She shouldn't be there.

Alfred: No, sir. It's not your fault. Ms. Bishop will always try to help you no matter what.

Y/N sighs and goes over to Kate lying down on the gurney, shivering from the cold

Alfred: I'll make sure she's better, Master Wayne.

Y/N kisses Kate's forehead before heading to the Batwing to search for the weapons dealer he was told about

Spider-Man was leaving the property when he sees the jet taking off near the Wayne residence

Alfred then speaks on Batman's comms

Alfred: You're getting near the Lower East Side. I hope Penguin's dealer can tell you about this Mister Freeze has done to our friend.

Y/N: Targetting someone like Ferris Boyle? It's sickening.

Alfred: I know you'll bring him to justice, sir.

Y/N: I'll see this one wheeled into Rikers on a gurney.

His tone was angrier than usual

He ejects himself off the Batwing and glides down

Minutes later, he sees a group of criminals with The Penguin's gang insignia on their arms exchanging words with a man that looked to be the arms dealer he was told about

He activates his shock gloves to take them down quickly 

He sees the last goon standing and decides to interogate him

Batman pushes him against the wall

Y/N: Where's Freeze?

Weapons Dealer: You think I know?

Y/N: You plan on celebrating the New Year in traction?

Weapons Dealer: Okay! He made a deal with Penguin...weapons in exchange for some guy...Ferris Boyle! He's in Alchemax last time I saw.

Y/N: You're lying. Alchemax doesn't make weapons.

Weapons Dealer: No, I swear it's true. I got the entry codes.

Y/N: I'll take those. 

He knocks the man out and takes the entry codes

Alfred: Sir, did he really say that Alchemax was involved in weapons tech?

Y/N: There's got to be more to this.

Batman heads off to the Alchemax factory 

He infiltrates the facility and sees Penguin and his men with Freeze and Ferris

After that, he makes his way to where they're going using a ventilation shaft

Batman then sees that Cobblepot and Freeze are disagreeing on something

Mr. Freeze: This will not end well for you, Cobblepot.

The caped crusader drops down and takes down two snipers that were aiming at Freeze

Penguin: You again?

Penguin starts shooting Batman with his machine gun

Freeze sees an opening and freezes Penguin and his men in their place

Batman drops down and faces Freeze, who was now holding Ferris hostage

Y/N: I'll give you one chance to let him go.

Mr. Freeze: Threats are meaningless to a man who has lost everything.

He shoots his freeze ray, creating an ice barrier, making Batman stuck on his side with no chance of getting to the other side

Penguin was frozen inside the barrier, only his head sticking out

Penguin: You'll never break through this ice.

Y/N: I'll figure it out. And besides, this ice is the only thing saving you from the beating you deserve.

He leaves the Alchemax factory and contacts Lucius

Y/N: Lucius, I need the XE suit. Is it ready?

Lucius: Yes, Mr. Wayne. I just finished the suit's thermal gloves.

Y/N: I need an air drop. Near the Alchemax factory.

Lucius: I'll send it as fast as I can.

A couple of minutes later, the Batwing delivers the XE suit on a roof

Batman gets changed and puts the suit on

 Y/N: Let's end this.
