CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE
AN UNTOLD STORY, PT. 2
╚═════ ═════╝

HENRY MILLS SAT ON THE EDGE OF THE FOUNTAIN, HIS BODY HUNCHED OVER, HANDS ON HIS KNEES. His entire body felt numb. Tears were streaming silently down his cheeks as he stared at the concrete in front of him.

The moment he met Teresa, Henry's entire life had changed. What started as his only friend turned into an extraordinary relationship. Before The Apprentice had even revealed that they were meant to be, as the prophesied soulmates chosen by Merlin himself, Henry knew he liked her. He liked the way that her nose crinkled when she laughed, her laughter sounding like the finest music. He liked how even when he was feeling down, she always managed to brighten his mood with a single smile in his direction.

As time passed, the feelings only grew stronger, and The Apprentice said what they were to each other, he knew right then and there that he wasn't going to hold back any more. If they were meant to be, then he wanted to be with her at every waking moment of his life until the minute his heart stopped beating.

Henry didn't care what people that about him; a sixteen-year-old that is already thinking of a future with someone. He didn't just like her, as he originally thought. No. Henry knew it was love — true love. The love of the soulmates.

And now he was doomed to life an entire life without her because he had destroyed magic, trapping her in another realm with his family.

"Henry." It was his mother, but he didn't bother looking up from where he was staring at the same spot for God know how long. He had lot track of time.

"Violet, can we have a second?" Emma asked, gesturing to her crying son. The blonde savior's heart broke at the mere sight of her son.

"Of course," Violet said, rising from where she sat near Henry. She walked away, leaving the mother to consider her heartbroken son.

"How'd you know where to find me?" His voice came out all cracked and broken, making Emma's heart clench.

"Because when we lived in New York, this is where we came when you were upset. And I'd give you a penny and tell you to wish your problems away. Remember?" Emma lifted up a quarter toward him. "What do you say? Want to give it a try?"

"I'm sorry, Mom, but that's not gonna make me feel better now."

"Why not?"

"When we lived here, there wasn't any magic. We didn't even know it existed. And, Mom, we were happy."

Emma smiled. "We were. And I wouldn't trade that time for anything. But you're forgetting something. It was just the two of us. And now..."

"Yeah," he said. "And that's why I thought if I destroyed magic in Storybrooke that we could all be happy like you and I were. But because of what I did, we'll never even see half of our family again. And, I-I'll never see Teresa again."

Emma frowned when more tears spilled from her sons chocolate brown eyes. It was in this moment that she realized just how much Teresa meant to her son. She knew of the prophecy of course, but she never realized their powerful bond until just now.

"That may not be true," Emma said. "Your mom is with Gold to try to find a way. Should we see if they had any luck?" Emma held out the quarter once more.

After receiving a text message from Regina to meet them at some sort of shop run by a man that called himself The Dragon they left had the city square with the fountain.

Now in the shop, Henry watched from next to Violet, as The Dragon placed what appeared to be a purple lotus flower on some water. He proceeded to close his eyes and wave his hands over. It swirled with the assistance of magic, the flower soon disappearing a small whirl pool within the bowl sucked it away.

They peered into the bowl, and Henry felt his heart race as he seen Teresa weaving through a large crowd of people with the other half of his family. The location, he didn't know, but all he cared about in that moment was that Teresa was okay. For now.

"Where the hell is that?" Regina said.

"Wherever it is, they're in trouble."

"We need to get through so we can help them."

Suddenly, The Dragon, took a step back and rose his hands as to create a portal. Henry watched with hopeful eyes, as the mans body began to shake. After a few moments, he released his hold and hunched over, sucking in deep breaths.

"I'm afraid opening a portal to that realm is beyond my power."

And just like that, Henry's entire wall of hope that he had built after Emma had received the text message from his adoptive mother, came crashing down. "You can't give up. My family, they're in trouble."

"I've done all I can. But you..." Henry held his gaze. "You haven't."

Henry furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Me?"

"All of you. Just because the boy destroyed Storybrooke's magic doesn't mean there isn't any in this world."

"Oh, really? Because I think there's a reason they call this place The Land Without Magic."

"Yes, because that's how it appears. There's magic everywhere if you're willing to see it."

The tiniest of smiles appeared on Emma's face. "That sounds an awful lot like something a friend told me a long time ago."

"August?" The Dragon said, causing their eyes to widen. "Yes. I know who you are, Savior. Just as I do your boy. Henry Mills, the prophesied soulmate of Miss Teresa Holmes. If you want to find magic, remember...what Augusr taught you, Emma."

"You have to believe..."

"So, how do you suggest we do that? After all, saying you believe doesn't make it so," Gold said.

Henry thought for a moment, before it hit him. The fountain.

"I know how."

"How is that going to help us?" Regina asked as she turned to face her son.

"Because there's magic in it. Every time someone makes a wish."

"I don't think throwing a coin in a fountain is what The Dragon was talking about."

Henry leaned over Violet to throw him a glare. "All due respect, Grandpa, but I think that was exactly what he was talking about."

His sass caused them to smile.

"Mom, when we were living in New York, do you remember the last time you took me here?"

Emma thought for a moment before shaking her head. "Yeah. I don't know. You were upset about something. Maybe something at school?"

Henry shook his head. "It was because of you. I could tell you were lonely, so I wished our family would be complete, and do you know what happened a few days later?"

"Hook came to New York, and he brought us back to Storybrooke and we were reunited with our family."

"There was magic. It was right here," Henry said, pointing toward the fountain. "We just didn't know it. Don't you see?" Henry was now grinning. "We just need to wish they were back."

Henry stepped toward and dug into his pocket, fishing out the quarter that his mother had given him earlier. "I wish we were reunited with our family!"

As soon as the quarter Henry threw in hit the bottom of the fountain, the Olympian crystal in Regina's hands began to glow.

"Come on," he said, the thought of seeing Teresa again making his Hester race. "It can't just be me. Everybody make a wish. This will work. I promise."

Emma smiled as she took the coin from her son. "Okay, kid."

Henry placed the last coin into his grandfathers outstretched with a sharp glare.

The coins splashed into the bottom of the fountain, causing the Olympian crystal glow brighter. Regina gasped. "Emma. Did you see that?"

Emma grinned. "Sometimes that boy surprises me."

Without even hesitating, Henry turned on his heel and ran up the many steps. When he reached the statue of a lion, he climbed up before letting out a shaky breath.

"People of New York City! My name is Henry Mills, and I need your help!" Slowly, he began to gain everyones attention. "My family's in danger, but we can save them with magic!" The laughter he received didn't phase him, he knew how crazy he must sound.

"I know how crazy it sounds. But magic is real. It's all around us. You just have to be willing to see it. You have to be willing to believe. And I know how hard that is. I once let my own belief waver. But I was wrong." Henry paused for a moment, meeting his mothers gaze from across the way. "We need magic. It can make the world a better place. I know it seems impossible. But think about it...at some point in your life, every one of you was once a believer, and at some point, you left that part of you behind. But you can go back to it. If you believe. So, what do you say?! Will you make a wish for us? Will you help us return magic to this world?"

Whispers began to spread throughout the city square.

Henry jumped down from the statue and bolted down the steps. He weaved through the crowd of murmuring people, shouting, "We just have to make a wish! Come on! Let's go!"

When he reached the fountain, he turned and handed a coin to a small girl. "Here, come on."

The young girl turned and flung the coin into the fountain after making a silent wish. Henry was smiling as he looked at the fountain, where the water was rippling non-stop from all the coins that were being thrown in.

"He's actually restoring magic."

At the sound of his mothers voice, Henry turned and flashed them a smile. "See? I told you."

Suddenly, the water burst upward, forming a large whirl pool that swirled wildly. A light wind blew, and the people surrounding them gasped and took a step backwards.

The funnel of water lowered tremendously until it completely left, and its place were Snow, David, Hook Zelena, and a certain blonde archer that made Henry's flutter.

Teresa looked around in confusion as she rose from her hunched over position. Before her was a crowd of people, and they were all looking at them.

"Dad. Mom!" Emma was suddenly running up to them and embracing both her parents.

Teresa stepped down from the water fountain, only to be pulled into the warm embrace of one Henry Mills.  She smiled as she wound her arms around his neck, digging her face into his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry," Henry muttered into her hair.

Teresa pulled back from his arms with a confused look plastered on her face. "What're you talking about? You saved us. You saved me."

Before Henry could say anything else, Teresa had gripped the back of his neck and smashed her lips against his.

Henry's heart soared, and for a moment he didn't move, too in shock from the sensation that ran through his body. The shock was quick to vanish, and he stepped closer, gently  placing his hands on Teresa's waist.

Unlike the other kisses, this was one was so much more. Their first kiss, the one they shared in Camelot, was quick, yet so loving. It had made their hearts flutter with a new sort of feeling neither of them had felt before, at the time.

Their second kiss, the one they shared in the Underworld, was the same way; quick, yet it left their hearts racing.

This one spread a fiery passion throughout their entire bodies, and their hearts were racing non-stop.

Regina had done it. She had used the last of Dr. Jeykell's serum to split herself from the Evil Queen within her. She then had killed the Evil Queen, and now they were going to destroy the Olympians crystal.

In the middle of Main Street, in Storybrooke, Maine, Teresa stood with her arms crossed over her chest. Beside her, was Henry, and next to him was Regina.

"Well, you did it, Mom. You destroyed the Evil Queen. How do you feel?"

A smile pulled onto Regina's face. "Free. Now...let's make sure no one can ever steal this again."

Henry gave his mother a small smile as he took the crystal from her hand. He bent down and placed it on the ground before taking a step back with Teresa.

Regina placed her hands out in front of her and over the crystal. In seconds, it was glowing as bright as ever, being a rush or wind and the sensation of magic spread out throughout Storybrooke, causing them to stumble.

They stared down at the pavement, watching as the crystal then vanished into thin air. Teresa let a smile pull onto her face.

"Thank you for that."

Teresa tensed up, her eyes widened ar the sound of his voice. She whipped around, and sure enough, Mr. Hyde himself was standing right before them. Her lips parted in shock.

"I'd hate to be trapped in this town without magic. That would be truly barbaric."

"Mr. Hyde...how did you get here?"

"Gold," Regina sneered. "He made a deal with you, didn't he?"

"Yes, that he did. I provided him with some information in exchange for Storybrooke."

Regina laughed in disbelief. "Excuse me?"

Hyde smirked. "Storybrooke is mine now. And I brought some friends. You know, I've been looking for a place like this for quite some time...a land where all the world's lost and forgotten stories could play themselves out. And now that I have brought them here, that is exactly what they're going to do."

"Let me tell you something, Mr. Hyde. I know how your story ends. You lose," Regina sneered.

"I wouldn't bet on it, Regina. Despite what you may think, darkness...is not as easy to snuff out...as you might believe."
