Inspiration for a Writer's Mind
I know this might seem a little random because the Arrow TV show ended a few years ago, but I really felt the urge to write a tribute to part of the show. I actually only finished watching it a few days ago. And as I sat on my living room's couch, my brother right there next to me as we watched the final episode's moments, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the experience.
A lot of things were always very different in my family's household, just as any family is because we're all unique in our own special way. But the thing that brings us together is our favorite TV shows.
I personally believe that those types of connections are the very reason people put so much time and effort into making things to entertain complete strangers, happiness.
When our favorite things come to an end, no matter what that thing is, we naturally reflect on why we enjoyed those things in the first place. This show gave my brother and I an opportunity to really connect with one another, both through its characters and just with each other in general which is something I will always be thankful for.
There's nothing we can strive to do more than love and support one another, I only wish that were an easier thing to do in this world. And TV shows (like Arrow) are the perfect examples of what we can do with hardwork and dedication to help others. Finding ways of connection are one of the most important things in our lives and I can say from experience that sometimes the simplest things can help us connect to people in our lives. In fact, I met nearly all of my friends through various fan clubs I've joined.
I am so grateful to all the creators, writers, actresses, actors, and everyone else who worked on this amazing TV show because they've touched so many lives with their work, including my own. Especially since the Arrowverse may sadly be ending soon (fingers crossed the answer is no), I wanted to write this tribute to one person who worked on this show in particular. Or should I say, rather the two actors who have inspired me.
Someone who inspired me to embrace my inner self (regardless of how nerdy I am) because there is literally nothing that scares me more than pushing past that wall of self doubt that stands between me and the person I'm meant to be. Honestly, I still have absolutely no idea who that person is (sixteen has been a weird age for me so far), but after watching him on screen, I feel like I might actually figure it out one day and maybe, just maybe, that person can be as great as I always hoped she'd be.
Thank you to Ben Lewis and Jack Moore for bringing the character we all know of William Clayton to life. I never would've imagined when first watching him on screen that he'd be one of my favorite characters considering I already had two favorite characters from the show (Roy Harper and Felicity Smoak) who were just phenomenal to watch, but they did it. They brought a role as simple as Oliver Queen's son to the screen in a way that was just completely mesmerizing to watch every episode.
