After the checkup was all settled, and his nose is slowly healing, Hartmann was free to go.

He didn't bother talking to his friends that he passed by, not even Velvet calling out to him.

By the time he reached the dorm, he use his scroll to open the door and closed it. He quickly changed to his sleepwear, which consists of a gray t-shirt and white shorts. Then he sat down near the window. Looking at the now night sky, he wondered about his future here.

Combat-wise, he was getting good at it, but all of those were him using his guns. They may be useful for a while, until the time all of the ammo are gonna dry out. He still got that sword he found in the initiation, but he didn't even trained that much of using it.

Yes, he did hold back against that Branch-wielding beowolf with the sword, but its not that equivalent to a human being, especially if they were a trained soldier or huntsman in CQC.

He could have Glynda trained him, but now she has been busy with other stuff.

Worst of all, without Aura and Semblance, the two things that are needed for Huntsman, he will be very vulnerable in open combat if he has no weapons on him. All of this thoughts frustrated him, making his head dizzy.

His thoughts faded, when he heard a knock from the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's me." It was Weiss, he did recognized her bitchy tone. Though this time, she didn't sound bitchy.

Hartmann sighed and asked. "What do you want?"

"Open the door and let me in." She demanded.

"Why?"

"I just want to talk."

"How about leaving me alone?"

"Look, i'll make this quick. Just open the door and then i'll leave when we're done. Okay?"

Hartmann stared at the door for a few seconds, before he decide to get up and open it for Weiss to get in. But before he do that, he asked her again. "You are alone, right?"

"Yes?" That's all he need to hear, and then he opened the door.

Weiss still wore her school clothes, and her hair was kept on a ponytail. The ice queen didn't ask further and went in the specialist's room. Since this was the first time she entered, she looked around and was amazed by the size and quality of this room. It is reserve for a specialist after all.

It is pretty much better than that bunk bed idea that Ruby thought of it. Still a miracle that it still standing, otherwise she and would be crushed from Ruby's bed.

"So are you here to talk or are you here to look around my room?" Hartmann said impatiently.

Weiss shook that thought away and turned to him. "Oh yes, sorry." She cleared her throat. "So, how are you feeling?"

"Not good." He shook his head. "Consider i was punched to the nose and lost a mediocre amount of blood."

"Be glad that me and Ruby helped you." Weiss said. "Which brings me to another topic that all of us were wondering. How come you didn't unlock your Aura?"

Hartmann wasn't surprised when he knew what she was asking. He didn't want to expose his secret to her, even when both of them are alone in his room. Ozpin, Glynda, Peach, Port, Oobleck and the rest of the staff were already enough that knew about his existence. More people knowing about this would be very stressful.

Even then, if he did told Weiss the truth, she wouldn't even believed it.

"I...do not know."

"You do know what it is, right?" Weiss asked. Hartmann nodded, thanks to Ozpin and Glynda informing him of that subject. "Lots of people in the world, all have Aura. But you? You didn't unlocked it, even until now."

"Like i just said, i don't know." He shrugged a bit. "But it does not really matter to me. I could hold myself in the field."

"No. It does matter, otherwise you would get hurt, really badly." Weiss declared. "It's best if you can unlock it right here and right now. Do you want that incident happen again back at the cafeteria?"

"No..." Hartmann shook his head.

"Exactly. Don't try to do those reckless stuff again. Or just wait until you unlock your Aura if you want do that again or don't do it ever, you hear me?"

Hartmann nodded and thanked her. Then he asked again. "You know, you seem to care about me that much. Do you like me or something?"

"N-Not really." She stuttered. "I just don't want Beacon's new specialist, AKA you, to be killed off. I even wrote a letter to my family about learning and working alongside with you."

"Oh...i see." Hartmann didn't see the hidden blush of red from her cheeks, which she also didn't see the same thing happening to him. A few seconds later, which felt pretty long for the duo, they only stared at eachother awkwardly.

Weiss then coughed a bit. "Well, i'll best be going now. I still need to prepare for the field trip."

"Field trip?" He raised his eyebrow.

"Professor Glynda and Professor Peach told us about it. Oh, and the former told me that you should come too."

"Well okay. Tell her i will join." Weiss nodded and then she walked out of his dorm.

Hartmann then exhaled. After looking at the time, he need to get some shut-eye, and prepare himself to whatever location in this field-trip.

________________________________

The next day

It was noon, and Hartmann was making his way to the bullhead, joined with teams RWBY and JNPR. He brought his Kar98K rifle and his sword, the latter was told to be useful for the field trip. He also brought a few stick grenades, just in case, like always.

Team CRDL were also joining in this field-trip, which the rest of the two teams wasn't really fond of it, especially to Cardin.

They were still mad of what he did to Hartmann, yesterday.

Though Hartmann didn't really want to intervene, and Cardin didn't seem to bother apologizing, but he knew to not lay a hand on the German anymore or else Professor Glynda would possibly expel him or worse...

With that aside, all the team members were already equipped with their gear and weapons, and were heading their way to the LZ where the teachers were waiting for them.

They reached the LZ, and over there they saw Professor peach and Glynda, with two pilots that are possibly the ones that will fly the two bullheads behind them.

Peach saw the students and walk towards them, adjusting herself and her uniform.

(Note: the Art belongs to RainshadowArtist. Check her out in DevArt for more of Peach)

"Okay! Is everyone accounted for?" Peach asked. All of the students nodded or said "Yes" to the peach-haired dust teacher. "Great! We can finally start the trip."

Glynda then stepped in. "Since there's thirteen of us here, and a single bullhead couldn't carry that much, i want two members of each team to get on one bullhead with me, and the other six will follow peach to the second bullhead. Do i make myself clear?"

They all nodded.

Glynda turned to Hartmann. "And You. You're coming with me." Hartmann didn't protest and simply nodded to the professor. Teams RWBY, JNPR and CRDL then split up.

Weiss, Blake, Jaune, Pyrrha, Russel, and Sky will board up on the first bullhead with Glynda, along with Hartmann joining them. Then the other six; Ruby, Yang, Ren, Nora, Cardin, and Dove; will board up on the second bullhead with Peach.

They all got in the aircraft, with Glynda telling the pilot to go to the location of the field-trip, where as Peach told the pilot to follow the first bullhead.

Both pilots obliged as the Bullhead slowly ascended before turning the boosters horizontally, and then both bullheads fly away to the location.

The ride was mostly quiet, in the first bullhead there were a few short conversations. Russel saying to Hartmann that he apologized about what Cardin did, ignoring the fact that Weiss and Blake were eyeing on him.

In the second bullhead, however, it was tense. With Cardin boarding on the bullhead with RY and NR, he was met with daggers from Yang and Nora. Both of the tough girls feel like tearing him up.

Where as Ruby was only angry at him, and Ren giving him a frown. Dove stayed out of this, like a coward.

If Peach weren't in the bullhead with them, it might escalated to a brawl, a brawl that will cause the bullhead to crash.

The two bullheads reached the location of this Field trip. They landed on a large opening as the occupants disembark the aircraft. They all look around the area and it was filled with trees. But not just regular trees, these ones have red leaves.

Glynda and Peach ordered the students to grab the Jars and boxes that the pilots were carrying them out of the bullhead and into some wagons.

After that they follow the teachers into the forest. Though most of the students were still gazing and awed about this forest they had never been in, except for a certain individual.

"Yes, students, the forest of Forever Fall is indeed beautiful." Glynda said to the group. "But we are not here to sight-see."

Professor peach followed. "That's right! I gathered all of you here to help and collect samples from these fine trees in this forest. They contain tree saps that are useful for my experiments."

"And i am here to make sure none of you die while doing so." Glynda added. The two teachers turned around to the students, then Glynda saw Nora raising her hand. "Yes, Ms. Valkyrie?"

"Are the red saps edible? How do they taste?"

Both professors raise their eyebrows on that question, but Peach answered. "Well they're edible, and i say...they taste pretty sweet."

Hearing that, the redhead smiled and drooled, wanting to get a taste of that sweet sap on her hands.

"Okay..." Peach looked away from Nora and picks up a jar from one of the wagons. "Each of you is to gather one jar's worth of this red sap. To get the sap, just cut open the branch, and the tree will squirt it out. Like it's own cu-"

Peach was hit from the side by Glynda, the latter shaking her head of what the former was about to say. She realized and blushed a bit.

Glynda clear her throat. "As what Peach was saying, gather as enough sap as you can and fill them in the jars. But beware of the local Grimm in this area, so please stick to your team, and be careful." Glynda look to Hartmann at the last part. The German sighed, but nodded to her.

Everyone grabbed one jar each in the wagon, and went their separate ways.

Glynda and Peach walk back to the LZ, team CRDL went elsewhere to the forest, and teams RWBY and JNPR, along with Hartmann, stick around and find the trees containing the sap.

___________________________________

Hartmann raised his sword and stabbed the tree bark on one of the trees. To get the sap inside, he must cut it deep enough until the liquid comes out. The trees have two different sizes of their barks. Thick and Thin.

And the one that Hartmann was stabbing is pretty thicc.

Peach said that the thick ones contain more sap that can fill up half a jar, and the sap is fresh and very sweet.

Though, the problem with the thick ones is that whatever object used to cut it open, it will occasionally get stuck.

And it did with Hartmann's sword.

Hartmann tried his best to pull out the sword, even putting one leg on the bark for support. But with all of his strength given, the sword was still stuck in the branch. 'Why does this always happen to me..' He thoughted.

"Hey. Need some help?" Yang come over to him and asked.

"It's okay, i got this." Hartmann rubbed both of his hands and try to pull out the sword yet again, but to no avail. "I...don't got this." then he fell down to the ground, panting from exhaustion.

Yang let out a small laugh. "Well, you tried. Now step aside."

Yang walk pass the downed German and look to his sword, still stuck by the tree.

She loaded one of her shotgun gauntlets, before placing her right arm on the handle of the sword.

Yang exhaled before firing a shot from her gauntlet, whilst holding the handle of the sword in the process. With the recoil from the blast, Yang successfully pull out Hartmann's sword out of the tree bark.

"There we go." She says, before grabbing one of the jars and placed it by the tree with it's sap leaking out. "You're welcome." Yang gave him the sword back and walk away, leaving him to brush off the dirt from his clothes and keep an eye on the jar.

The rest of the team were doing good on getting the sap. Although they would've been done faster if Nora didn't slurped all of the sap in the jars.

Jaune used his sword and cut open another tree bark. It was a thin one. After cutting it open, he went closer and check for any sap.

But what he met was a repulsive smell of an expired tree sap.

Jaune coughed and step away from the tree, now feeling nauseous. Nora watched his nauseous partner, and let out a laugh, before gulping down on another jar of refilled sap.

Much to Ren's annoyance as he had to refill it again.

Meanwhile, Ruby lay down by one of the trees with Blake and Pyrrha beside her, admiring the scene. "Wow, this place sure is wonderful." Ruby said.

"Agreed." Pyrrha replied.

"You act like this is your first time seeing it." Blake said.

"I always heard of the this forest, and even saw several pictures of it. Never knew i get to see it up close."

"That's fair." She shrugged, before getting up. "I'm gonna go and collect the sap now."

Hartmann finished with his task and decide to rest after. Passing by Blake, he sat down with Ruby and exhaled.

"Hey, Harts." She said. "You good?"

He gave her a nod. "Well, just tired of trying to pull out my sword out of the bark, a few times."

"Professor peach did say that you need to be careful on cutting the thick ones. The deeper you cut, the easier it will get stuck."

"I guess i did not listen that much." The trio shared short laughs, before looking around the forest.

"So, what do you think of Forever Fall?" Pyrrha asked.

"It is pretty good, unique even." He answered. "The colors also remind me of something. Like a certain...ideology."

"Oh?" She raised her eyebrow. "And what is this 'certain ideology'?"

"I do not remember the name, but it has something to do with two tools. A hammer and a sickle."

Both girls raised their eyebrows. An ideology with something to do with tools? Those tools include a hammer and Sickle that used by workers and farmers? Strange.

"Don't know what ideology you're referring to, but that's sounds downright silly." Ruby said.

Somewhere in Earth, Stalin's office

Stalin sat on his office, writing something on the papers. Suddenly his body perked up and his eyes-wided, looking like he felt something strange.

His secretary noticed it. "What is it, great leader?" He asked.

"I'm not sure, Comrade Boris..." Stalin replied. "I feel...a disturbance.."

Back in Forever fall

Hartmann let out a chuckle. "I guess so."

The German then wondered where is team CRDL at. The two girls shrugged, where Ruby ask, why would she even care? Even of what the leader to him, yesterday.

Hartmann admit he didn't enjoyed getting punched to the face that much, but he didn't really have to blame all of the team because of their leader. He just hoped that they're okay.

___________________________

"Alright, and that's another jar done." said Russel, as he filled up the jar with the sap.

Team CRDL were elsewhere from the forest, away from teams RWBY and JNPR, by Cardin's orders. The team were okay for now, and they filled up almost all of their jars. Though they were pretty unlucky on getting them from the thin barks, and not the thick ones, which the latter weren't around their location.

"How's everyone doing?" The mohawk asked to the rest.

"Good." Said Dove, closing his jar of sap.

"Halfway through." Sky replied.

Russel nods and then turned to his team leader. "Cardin?"

"Yeah, yeah. Just starting with the second jar." He said.

Russel then asked. "I want to ask, though. Why did you carry and extra jar when there is only four of us?" He pointed out before noticing that Cardin also had a large box filled with holes on top of it. "And what's with that box?"

"Rapier wasps."

"Rapier wasps?" Russel said, shocked when his team leader manage to capture those dangerous bugs. In this moment, Sky and Dove were eavesdropping the conversation. "The hell are you gonna do with those nasty things?"

"Payback." Cardin went back trying to get the sap for the second jar of the thick bark.

"This is not about that Hartmann kid, is it?" Russel asked, a bit worried.

"No. I'm gonna use it on that Ruby girl." Cardin was still mad about losing that sparring match to that introverted girl. "Though i would've done it to him too, if Ms. Goodbitch didn't threaten us." He and the rest didn't know what so special to her with the kid. It's like he's her teacher's pet. No...more like she's his mother.

"You jealous or something?" Dove joked with a chuckle.

"No. I just don't understand why he's treated that way."

"Why? Maybe because he's a damn specialist of this school." Sky stated. "Admit it man, you're just a bit jealous."

Having enough of this talk, Cardin growled and took one of Russel's dagger. "Give me that." He said, before using it to stab the bark, unknowingly how deep enough it was.

When he took the knife out, the sap spewed out from the bark and into his face and armor.

"Agh, dammit!" Cardin cursed as he is now covered in that sap. His teammates were going to help, before noticing the box shaking madly.

The box fell to the side, opening the top as the wasps was free from their prison. Cardin wiped off the sap from his face, and that's where he saw that the wasps he captured were free, and they seem pretty pissed.

He quickly grab his mace, just when the wasps started attacking him. "Crap!" He quickly ran away, with the wasps chasing him. Russel and the rest tailed behind them, as Sky grabbed one of the jars with him.

The wasps chased Cardin to an open field, with the first year swinging his mace to the swarm, in hopes of hitting them.

"Get back!" Cardin swung his mace again, this time hitting a few of the bugs, but there were still many.

Some of the wasps attack him, but Cardin used his free hand and squat the damn bug to pieces. Even when he killed a few, there were still more that could break his aura and sting him to death.

"Ey, wasps!" The swarm turned to Sky, holding a jar in his hands. He opened the jar, letting the aroma of the sap flow to the swarm. "Want this shit? Then catch!" He then threw the jar as far away as he could.

The swarm zoomed away to get the jar, leaving Cardin and the rest of the team alone.

"You good?" Sky asked.

"Yeah, thanks." Cardin checked to see any sap from his armor, while Dove and Russel catched up to them.

Russel look over to the direction where Sky threw that extra jar, that Cardin meant to use on Ruby. "Well, there's goes your jar for that 'Payback' of yours. Now can we go?"

Cardin let out a sigh of defeat. "Fine, let's go and-"

Then a sudden growl cut him off. Cardin look back, along with his teammates. There stood an Ursa, all on fours, it's red hungry devil-like eyes staring at them in interests. It was no ordinary Ursa, it was a giant alpha Ursa. One of the many dangerous grimms.

The alpha Ursa let out a roar.

"Oh shit, that's a big Ursa!" Russel shouted.

Cardin's eyes wide, before readied his mace as the rest of his team pull out their weapons for the incoming battle against the giant bear grimm.

The Ursa readied its paws and charges at the team.

________________________

Teams RWBY, JNPR and specialist Jäger, finished filling up all the jars.

Nora was already full on drinking...atleast 4-7 Jars of Sap. The others were glad she stopped, or else this would been gone for more than an hour.

When they were packing up, distant roars were heard among the forests.

"Did anyone hear that?" Ruby asked.

"Probably." Her sister replied. "Maybe the Grimm knew of our presence."

The distant roars were then followed by fast footsteps, that were close to their direction.

"H-HEY!", and then a shout was heard.

The nine students turn to who it was, and it was one of Cardin's goons from his team, Russel Thrush.

They all felt uneasy at first, before they saw some bruises which the Aura didn't heal yet, and they way he walked looked like he got pretty beaten up with his hand by his abdomen. He then leaned by a nearby tree for support.

Yang walk up to him. "What do you want?"

Russel let out exhales, before answering. "I need your help! My team is back there fighting a giant Ursa...but it's too tough."

"So? Hit it harder."

"We tried, but the Ursa seems to be smart aswell. Please...they'll die if you guys don't intervene!"

"Eh...sorry man, we're occupied right now." Yang denied.

"Yang!" Ruby frowned from her sister's behavior as she approaches the mohawk. "Where are they located?" She asked about their location.

"Over by that small hill and a few trees away." Russel pointed.

"Alright." She nodded and turned to the rest of her teammates. "Yang, Blake. You two go get professor Goodwitch and professor Peach. Weiss, you're with me." Her teammates nodded as Yang and Blake bolted to warn the teachers, where Weiss readied her myrtenaster.

Hearing that Ruby give her team orders, Jaune decide to do the same with his team. "Ren, Nora. You guys follow them. There could be more Grimm. Pyrrha, you and i with Weiss and Ruby."

Russel tried to stand properly. "Okay, let's-." but thanks to his injuries, he wasn't able to do it and lean back on the tree. "Dammit.."

The rest turned to Russel as Pyrrha went over to check his conditions. She saw that his Aura was low and he suffered more bruises when looked up-close. "You're Aura's low. I think you need to stay where it is safe."

Russel wanted to protest, but sighed in defeat since she was right. Besides, he left his weapons in that Ursa. So he couldn't even fight. "Nggh...fine."

Pyrrha smiled, before turning to her team leader. "Jaune. You should bring him in to the professors, make sure he is safe."

"If that's the case, then fine." Pyrrha gently shoved Russel to Jaune's arms as the latter helped him up.

Ruby look to Weiss and Pyrrha, as they'll be the only ones to help. "Alright. Guess it's just the three of us then." She declared.

"No...I will join."

They turned to Hartmann, realizing he was still here, as the German had his rifle and sword ready. However, they were all hesitant of it. They remembered that he didn't have his Aura unlocked yet, which means he could get hurt for real.

"Hartmann." Weiss spoked. "For your own safety, you should go with Jaune."

"Nein, i can help you three."

"But you still didn't unlock your Aura. You'll get killed!" She protested. The argument would've gone longer if Ruby didn't stepped in between them.

"We don't have time to argue here. We need to help Russel's teammates. So.." Ruby turned to Hartmann. "..Hartmann, we could use a hand. Just don't get yourself hurt."

He nodded. "Ja. I will stay by the treelines for cover fire."

"It's settled then. Good luck, you four." Jaune said as he helped and guided Russel to the bullheads. Ruby, Weiss, Pyrrha, and Hartmann all readied their weapons and went off.

Cardin attempted to run to a safe distance, but the Ursa jumped over him and land infront with a hard thud, causing him to fall to the ground. The Alpha Ursa growled in pain when the right side of his body got stabbed from Russel's Shortwings. It tried to get revenge, but the kid was nowhere to be seen.

Then the beast turned to Cardin and was going to slash the kid, if it wasn't distracted from the bullets being fired upon from Dove's Hallshot. The bullets didn't really hurt the Ursa, but it definitely annoyed it, which then the Grimm switch it's prey to Dove.

Dove stood his ground, keeping his aim on the Ursa and fired a bunch of bullets until the ammo ran out, but the Grimm was still charging at him.

He waited until the grimm was close, then he dodge it's slice attack as the Ursa crashed into the tree behind him.

All of that was part of his attack. He look up to the tree and Sky was hiding above the branch with his axe ready. When the Ursa was in the spot, Sky jumped down on the Ursa's back and stab it with his axe.

The Ursa roared in pain and shake it's body. Sky held on to his Axe and usued his other hand to grab one of the spikes. Thankfully he cut the axe deep into it's skin, but he was now dangling on the Ursa's back, the latter trying to shake him off.

Sky turn to Dove and yelled out. "Go. Help. Cardin!" Dove nodded and ran to his team leader.

Cardin slowly got up and shook the dirt off of himself. He then picks up his mace, as Dove already approached him. The former looked around. "Where the hell is Russel?"

"He bolted. I don't know why." Dove answered.

Cardin cursed from his teammate's cowardly act. How dare he left his leader and teammates just to save his own skin.

"Forget it. We can take this thing down by ourselves." They both look to the giant Ursa that was still trying to shake sky off of it. Sky was still holding on, while trying to find a way to pull his axe out.

The Ursa then look behind and thought of something. It then stood on it's hind legs, confusing the blue-haired knight, then the Ursa smash itself to the tree behind it, by it's back. The Grimm was actually intended to use it's back spikes to impale the human or atleast squish him so he could get off from it's back.

And it did.

Sky shrieked from the pain on his back, and then he fell to the ground as his aura shattered. The Ursa pulled some of it's spikes out of the tree branch and went back on his fours, but it was still irritated when Sky's Axe is now stuck on it's back. It look to the unconscious sky on the ground, and was planning on killing him.

But then was distracted when bullets hit its face again.

The Grimm turned its attention back to Cardin and Dove, as both students were charging at it head-on with their weapons ready. The Ursa growled and charge at them aswell.

As they were closer, Dove had the opportunity and jumped from the Ursa's head. He then landed on the back, grabbing one of it's spikes to balance himself, then pointed his sword-gun to the head of the Grimm, firing several rounds.

The bullets didn't penetrate the brain as the Ursa alpha had a thick skull, but it didn't stop Dove to fire at it, which Cardin then used his mace and hit one of the Ursa's legs, hard enough to make it fall. Dove then use his sword and stab the upper neck area, almost incapacitated the bear grimm.

As the Ursa fell, it made a loud desperate roar, which annoyed Cardin.

"Oh shut up and die already." He said while raising his mace to finally end the creature.

However, as he was about to do it, Dove looked to his left, only to make contact with a big rock hitting his face. The impact of the rock cause him to fell down to the ground as his aura shattered, where as his sword was still stuck by the Ursa.

Cardin turned to his downed teammate before turning to where the rock was thrown.

Fifteen beowolves and four Ursais were standing meters away from him. The roar from the Ursa alpha must've alerted them, and called for help.

Distracted, his mace was unexpectedly grabbed by the mouth of the alpha Ursa, which the latter had gathered it's strength from the constant stabs and slashes. Cardin lost his grip from his weapon as the Ursa threw it away from him.

Cardin desperately tried to get it back, but a beowolf lunged infront of him, blocking his way. The beowolf growled as their grimm comrades slowly surrounding him.

Cardin had nowhere to go. If he runs, he'll die. If he fights, he'll die. The only thing he could do is standing there helplessly, as he prays that the Grimm would give him a quick death.

As the Beowolves were going to tear him apart, an explosion was heard.

*BOOM*

The sudden explosion launched three beowolves away, with the rest turning to the source. Ruby, Weiss, and Pyrrha have arrived with their weapons ready. One of the beowolves roared to attack them.

Ruby smirked and locked her scythe-gun. She used the recoil of her to boost her to the charging beowolves, before slicing one of them with the blade of the scythe. She twirl it around before sticking the tip of the blade to the ground and use it's rifle form by firing a few rounds to the wolves.

Weiss and Pyrrha split up and dealt with the other Grimm creatures.

Weiss used her rapier and stab one of the beowolves to the stomach, then finishing it by slicing it to the chest. Another beowolf behind her leaped to her, but Weiss propelled herself into the air with her glyphs and slice the wolf's upper body.

She spun the revolver chamber of her weapon, stopping on the fire dust cartridge. She turn to her right, to see an Ursa charging towards her. She channeled the fire from the blade, pulling out a line of flame.

She flings her weapon as casted a wave of fire to the Ursa. It got hit, but it was still alive. Weiss boosted herself to the downed Ursa, twirled around and stabbed it by the neck.

Pyrrha blocked a slash from an Ursa with her shield, before hitting the creature to the face, then using her spear for the killing blow. She quickly dodge a few rocks thrown to her from two beowolves as she backflipped and switch her weapon to it's gun form.

She shot them two times accurately to their face as the rock thrower beowolves dropped down dead.

With the Grimm creatures distracted from the three huntresses, this gives Cardin a chance to sneak away and grab his mace. As he was grabbing the mace, a lone beowolf quickly knocked him over. It roared at him, ready to kill.

Just then, the beowolf got shot to the side of its head from a stray bullet as it fell to the ground, dead. Cardin turn to the direction and he saw another familiar figure behind the trees. He looked closer and noticed it was the specialist.

"Hartmann?" Cardin said in disbelief when he saved him.

Hartmann then shouted. "Grab your weapon and get out of there!" He cocked the bolt from his rifle before firing another round to a second beowolf.

Hearing of what the specialist said, and disliked of being told by him, Cardin nodded and grabbed his mace, then checking in on Dove and Sky, not before swinging his Mace to yet another beowolf as he crushed its head. He saw the duo behind another tree. Dove was leaning behind the branch, where as Sky was still unconscious.

Dove couldn't fight since his aura was really low and his weapon is still stuck by the Alpha Ursa. Cardin exhaled and told them to be careful, before he went back to the field to assist the girls and the specialist.

More Beowolves and Ursais appeared to assist the alpha Ursa, with them even bringing a few boarbatusks.

Ruby and Weiss stick together as they hold off the incoming horde. Ruby used her weapon in it's gun form and Weiss used the lighting dust from her chamber, creating a large streak of electricity from her rapier wand as it hit an Ursa, which then created a current to a few more Ursais and Beowolves, electrocuting them all to death.

Hartmann stood behind the trees, changing his spots so he won't get caught. Everytime he went out of his cover and fired his Kar98k to the weak spots of the grimm creatures, either killing them instantly or wounding them as the rest finished them off. He could've just gone out there and join, but he knew he had no aura, leaving him vulnerable to open attacks.

Pyrrha panted before spearing an Ursa to the head and flip over a boarbatusk and speared it in it's underbelly. She quickly parried an attack from a beowolf with a tree branch, before stabbing the heart area. The constant Grimm attacking her has made her a bit exhausted.

She didn't know how many of them kept appearing. 20? 30? 40? All those numbers made her head dizzy.

Then her eyes narrowed on the still-injured Ursa alpha as it was trying to balance itself while roaring. It was then she noticed that the Ursa was the cause of it. The bear roaring was actually calling out to it's comrades to help.

Needing this to end, Pyrrha transforms her spear into the rifle form and aimed to the Ursa. What she didn't know is that a lone beowolf saw that she was going to do.

When Pyrrha pulled the trigger, she expected the bullet to pierce right through the ursa, but unexpectedly the beowolf appeared infront of the bear as it took the bullet, whilst letting out a screech.

The Ursa noticed its dead comrade before turning to Pyrrha, growling at her and then let out yet another roar. This time, the roar attracted a dozen of the attacking grimm as they turn their attention to the redhead warrior.

They then charge at the girl, as the latter was ready to prepare. She felt someone poking her shoulder, before she turn to where Cardin was standing with his mace ready.

"You think you're just gonna do this on your own?"

Pyrrha frowned at first when Cardin wanted give her some assistance, but turning back to the horde she sighed and accepted without that much thinking. Both of them charged to the grimm as they lay waste to them.

Elsewhere in the forest

By the Landing zone, Glynda and Peach were waiting for the students to be finished with their task. Where as the pilots were chilling around, with one of them inspecting his pistol and the other listening to some tunes.

Glynda check the time, and it was still 15 minutes left before 4 pm, in which all of them will rendezvous back here. The blonde let out a exhale and waited.

Peach looked to Glynda and now noticed the worried look she's having. "Hey, Glynda. What's with the face?"

"H-huh?" Glynda cleared her throat and change her mood. "What face?"

"You look worried for a second there. Is there something wrong?"

"No, it's nothing."

Peach knew Glynda for a while and she could tell when the blonde was either lying or telling the truth, and this time it was the former. She narrowed her eyes as she stared to the blonde professor.

The latter look back to her for a moment, letting out a bit of sweat.

"Is it about the students? You worry for their safety?" Peach guessed, which Glynda shook her head, 'No'.

To peach, that was true, Glynda didn't feel worried of any students that were left to fend for themselves from Grimm threats or any threats. They are hunters after all.

Though her answer was 'Almost true' to the dust scientist. There were still that spec of lie from her answer. Then, her thoughts turned to the Specialist. She saw of how close Glynda was with him. That was definitely the reason.

"It's about him isn't it?"

"Uh, who?" Glynda asked back.

"The specialist. Erich Hartmann. You're worried of him, aren't you?"

"W-What makes you said that?"

"Come on, Glyn. You've been looking after that boy these past 2 months now, even when you're not working. Besides, i'm not the only one that knew of it, you'know?"

Glynda tried to ignore the question, before Peach came up with the topic of her, Ozpin, Port, Oobleck, DuFrense, and the rest of the staff knowing about their relationship. With that, she sighed in defeat.

"Yes, Peach. It's him. I just keep getting this feeling everytime...it's getting annoying actually.

"Motherly instincts?" Peach guessed. "I know what you mean."

"Huh?" Glynda raised her eyebrow a bit.

Peach then asked. "You never have a child before, right?"

"No, i haven't." Glynda shook her head. "I'm not even married."

"I see. You do care much of him, right?" Glynda was hesitant, but she nodded a bit. "Well maybe you should consider to be his guardian."

"I'm worried of what he will think of it, though."

Peach shrugged. "Eh, i'm sure he'll think the same."

Glynda and Peach both look upfront when they heard footsteps coming towards them. They saw Yang and Blake coming out of the trees with JNR and Russel catching up to them.

"Students? You're back so early. Didn't i told all of you to regroup at 4 pm?" Glynda said.

"We know." Blake replied. "But we need your help." Glynda and Peach then saw Jaune carrying a pretty beaten-up Russel. Peach observed all of the bruises on him.

"What happened to him?" She asked.

"G-Giant Ursa." Russel answered then explained to her what happened when he and his team got ambushed by that said creature

Meanwhile, Glynda observe the students that are here, noticing there are a few missing. "Where are the rest of your team?" She asked, looking again and realized that Hartmann was also not here. "And where is Jäger!?"

"He went to help the rest of CRDL with Ruby, Weiss and Pyrrha." Jaune spoke out.

Her eyes wided as the same instinct took over her again. She then turned to the blonde huntress."Ms. Xiao long. Lead the way!" Glynda demanded.

Yang nodded as she ran back to the forest with Glynda catching up to her. Blake and Professor Peach followed them after the latter told the three members of JNPR to stay by the bullheads with Russel.

__________________________________

Hartmann had moved to another tree, still observing the ongoing battle as he panted a bit. He didn't count how many bullets he had used, maybe about 3-4 clips, which were 15-20 bullets used. If only he was accurate enough to not hit the creatures to their bodies.

He check his pocket and he realized he was on his last clip. That's where he thought that he has to force himself to fight with his sword as soon as he used all those 5 bullets, which means getting closer to the Grimm.

Sure he still has one stick grenade left, with one of them he used a minute ago, but that won't do much to defend himself. The sword was the only weapon.

Usually he wouldn't think twice to switch to his CQC weapon and fight the grimm up-close just like in initiation. But this felt different to our german boy. That's because his friends knew of him not having Aura. Which means he was risking his life to them, and they don't want that to happen.

His mind raced a bit, then he took a deep breath and let it all out. There wasn't time to focus on anything BUT the battle. He looked back to the one last clip, muttering under his breath.

5 bullets. Make them count.

With that, he inserted the last clip to his Kar98k and went out of his cover.

His first target was a beowolf trying to hit Ruby with a log. He took aim to its head, and fired.

BANG

4 bullets left.

His next target was an Ursa. He cocked the bullet and aimed to its head.

BANG

3 bullets left.

He saw two more beowolves throwing rocks at Pyrrha and Cardin.

BANG

He shot the first one, then turned to the other.

BANG

1 bullet left.

He cocked the rifle, knowing that he is on his last bullet. He need to make this shot count. Then he heard a buzz from his scroll. Wondering what it is about, he hid behind the tree and took it out of his pocket.

It was a message, from Weiss.

He tapped the message as it says.

"Hartmann! Try and kill the alpha Ursa while we deal with the rest of the Grimm. Pyrrha said it's the reason why so many Grimm are after us. Now hurry!"

He was a bit impressed of how Weiss was able to type that fast when she's in battle, but he quickly shook out of that thought and try to find the Alpha Ursa she was talking about.

It wasn't hard, as the Ursa was standing in the middle, still injured with all those weapons on it.

Hartmann aimed the rifle to that Ursa. If that creature was responsible of bringing all this Grimm, then it'll be all over soon once he kills it.

Suddenly, as Hartmann was going to shoot the Alpha Ursa, he heard rapid footsteps coming from behind him. Then...a roar.

He quickly turned around to see a beowolf that sneaked itself from the trees. The wolf ran to him on all fours, ready to pounce.

Panicked, Hartmann fired the last bullet that was going to be used to the Ursa. The bullet hit the beowolf, but it wasn't enough to stop it.

As the beowolf lunged at him, he used his rifle to cover his face, which it made contact with the Beowolf's fangs.

Hartmann landed on the ground with a hard thud as the beowolf pinned him down. It would've aimed on Hartmann's neck, if it weren't for the Kar98k that he was biting at.

With all his strength, the German held the rifle tight on the beowolf's mouth as the latter kept trying to shake it or bite it off. To the Beowolf's surprise, the Rifle was pretty strong.

Being physically stronger than the Human, the Beowolf grabbed his arms tight before standing up on its hind legs. Hartmann kept his grip on his rifle as he couldn't feel the ground on his back and feet.

He then felt a sudden pain in his stomach when he noticed the beowolf was trying to kick him off to the field. He didn't want it to happen, so he kept his grip tight.

The Beowolf grew irritated as he starts to squeeze his arms, until Hartmann forced himself to let go of the rifle with one of his arms. The Beowolf gave another kick, and it sent the poor boy out to the field.

The other grimm and the hunters didn't noticed him as they were still fighting eachother.

Weiss casted a fireball to a boarbatusk, before spinning the chamber around to switch the next dust element. She look to her right and noticed Hartmann was out of the open, on the ground.

"Hartmann!" Weiss saw that the German did not have his gun on his hand, and his sword was still on the scarab. Without his weapons ready and not having Aura, the schnee knew that the boy was now vulnerable.

She had to help him, but she was stopped when she got hit by a rock from one of the beowolves. Weiss got back up and had to deal with them first, but she'll come back to him.

Hartmann grunted, trying to get up as fast as he then heard the same beowolf that tried to ambush him as it spit out the Kar98k that was in his mouth. He quickly unsheathes his sword for its next attack.

However, before attacking him, the Beowolf turned to the Kar98k on the ground. Still irritated by the object, the wolf picked it up.

Hartmann was confused at first, but realize what it was going to do.

The beowolf held the Kar98k rifle with both of his arms, and with its strength...

*CRACK*

...the wolf ripped it apart.

The action shocked the German, with his eyes-wided. He could see what remains of the Kar98k were on the ground, ripped in half. The worst part is that was the only KAR98K that the school has founded from those crates.

Without his gun, he had to resort with his sword and his last grenade.

The wolf turned back to the German and was ready to attack. Then a strong gust of wind flew beside him and what follows next was a slashing sound.

What Hartmann saw next was the beowolf that broke his rifle, now cut in half by Ruby with her scythe. The girl quickly twirl herself around and fire a shot, which Hartmann ducked, as the bullet hit another beowolf behind him.

"Are you okay, Hartmann?!" Ruby approached him.

"I-I'm fine, but they broke my rifle." Ruby look back to the now-broken Kar98k on the ground.

"Sorry that happened, but we still need to take out that Ursa." Hartmann turned around to see the damn Ursa is still standing. They have to kill this thing and fast. "You still have that grenade of yours?" Ruby asked.

"Ja. I still have one." He showed her the stick grenade in his pocket.

"Good. We can use it to finish off the Ursa."

"How are we going to do it?"

Ruby observed the situation. "I'll distract the ursa and its guards, meanwhile you find a safe spot and use that wierd-looking grenade of yours to that Ursa. Call me out when you're ready!"

Hartmann nodded. "Good luck, Ruby." With that, both of them split up.

Hartmann unsheathes his sword to defend himself as he try to find a good spot that is currently grimm-free.

Ruby ran to the Giant Ursa. She sliced two beowolves and an Ursai that were in her way. She boost herself up to the air and landed between the giant Ursa's spikes. She noticed CRDL's weapons around it. It remind her of a character in a book her mom red to her.

"Wow, this thing is like Mor'du."

Then the Ursa noticed the girl on top off of it, calling out his grimm comrades to get rid of the girl.

Ruby took action, switching her scythe-gun to its lighter form before focusing her attention on the incoming grimm of 20. She opened fire, with some of the grimm dodging the shots and then threw medium-sized rocks at her, which she also dodged.

She quickly hopped down from the Ursa when she noticed all the guards are now onto her.

Perfect.

"Hartmann! They're on to me. Waiting on you!" Ruby called out to him, firing another shot to the Giant Ursa, then switching back to her scythe form and slash a few of the guards.

With Ruby distracting the Ursa and the Grimm protecting them. Hartmann sheathed his sword and readied his grenade, first by taking out the security lid at the bottom. After that, he grabbed the string, before looking back to where the Ursa was standing.

However, just as he was about to detonate and throw it, his legs was suddenly pulled from behind by a beowolf. He dropped to the ground with a hard thud on his stomach, as he quickly turned to face the beowolf.

He felt its foot, stepping on his leg, unable for him to move. He started to panic and did what he can to escape its grasp, but alas the wolf was just too strong.

Hartmann looked up as the beowolf stared at its prey, then unsheathes its claws.

With one swipe, the wolf slashed his stomach.

"AHHH!"

His scream had got the attention from the 4 hunters, turning to the direction of the scream.

______________________________

When the Beowolf was about to slash his stomach. Hartmann didn't do anything but helplessly stare at the creature. He felt like he is staring at death. With him having no Aura, his sword still on the scarab, and the beowolf stepping on his leg.

Heh, feels like deja vu. He had been in this place before.

This was no time to joke around, however. He is going to die now. He failed to keep Glynda's promise of doing reckless things like this. And his friends... He couldn't imagine how they would react. Especially with Weiss.

More than 2 months of his new life and this is where it will end.

Hartmann closed his eyes just as the beowolf's claws made contact with his chest. He let out a scream. He felt a stinging pain on his stomach when the Beowolf clawed him.

But then to his surprise...

...he didn't feel any blood coming out.

Hartmann slowly opened his eyes and took a peek on his stomach. It turns out to be completely fine. No scratch marks or blood or anything. What surprised him again, is that his stomach flickered the colour grey. It's like his Aura.

Then it clicked! The grey stuff was his Aura. He finally unlocked it!

But this was no time to celebrate, as the Beowolf was still pinning him down. Growling that the Aura protected him, the wolf try to slash him again, only for its body to be impaled by Pyrrha's spear, in which she threw at it.

Hartmann quickly unsheathes his sword to behead the beowolf.

Then he heard her call. "Hartmann, get out of there!" She shouted as she ran to get her spear back and cover him.

Now free from the Grimms grip, he quickly got up and immediately search for his stick grenade. The grenade was only 20 feet away from him.

The other Grimm creatures were going to stop him, but Pyrrha threw her shield to the ones near the German, before taking back her spear and stab an Ursa. Weiss and Cardin went ahead to give him cover aswell.

Hartmann make haste to the grenade and picked it up. "Ruby! I'm throwing it!" He shouted to her as he was about to pull the string.

Ruby nodded and had the idea to slice off one of the Giant Ursa's legs, so the grimm would have nowhere to go. When she chopped off one of the leg, the Ursa let out a loud roar of pain. The Ursa cannot move anymore, and with its Grimm guards dead, it was now vulnerable.

Which is perfect for the hunters.

Hartmann activated the fuse of the grenade, before throwing it to the Ursa.

The Grenade bounces its way to the mortally-wounded Ursa, with the latter kept roaring in pain after the red-cape girl sliced off one of it's leg, ignoring the grenade. As soon as the nade landed near the Ursa, the latter turned to the object.

It was the last thing it saw, before the grenade exploded, killing the bear.

________________________

As the explosion erupt, the nearby fighters stopped and look to where the Giant Alpha Ursa stood its ground. Now what it lies was the fallen corpse of that damn Bear.

The explosion from the stick grenade was enough to end that poor bastard down. Its face is almost unrecognizable of a regular Ursa.

The huntsmen and huntresses of Beacon stared at their main target, as it was slowly evaporating into air. Cardin and Pyrrha let out exhales, where as Ruby and Weiss stayed silent. Hartmann was in a mix of both. At one time he let out exhales after that near-death experience, again, and felt speechless.

They finally claimed that they are victorious in this fight.

But it wasn't over yet

There were still 15-20 Grimm creatures in the area, most being Ursais. Seeing their Alpha of their own kind, now dead, it angered them. One of the Ursa roared at the hunters, ready to tear them apart.

The Beacon hunters, despite a few of them exhausted from fighting all those grimm, were ready for round 2. Before the fight even began, two of the grimm saw more figures appear from the treelines.

The rest of the hunters did the same, with Ruby, Weiss, Pyrrha and Hartmann smiling from the familiar faces.

Blake, Yang and Professor Goodwitch came to them for backup. The formers were going to fight all those Grimm, but the latter told them to stand their ground.

With a flick from her crop, she used her telekinesis to control the certain objects around the battlefield, most of them being rocks thrown by the beowolves.

She used the rocks and threw them to the Grimm creatures. They were all getting hit from the barrage of rocks thanks to her telekinesis. Some of them tried dodging the attacks, but to no avail.

Blake saw a nearby beowolf trying to flank them. She used her gambol shroud and threw it to the beowolf as it hit the shoulder area. Then she propelled herself to the creature, giving it a kick to the face, before retracting her weapon and use its gun to shoot it a few times.

Seeing the professor doing her thing, Yang decide to help aswell. She loaded her shotgun gauntlets and fired upon the Grimm that were foolish enough to charge at them head on.

The Grimm stood no chance from the incoming barrage of rocks, branches, and Yang's dust bullets. Half of the remaining force were already wiped out in seconds. Only six were left.

The last Ursa let out one last roar before it ran back to the trees, ordering a retreat. The Ursa was stopped by a branch that landed infront of it. Glynda flick her crop as the Ursa was hit by three sharp rocks to its side.

The rest of the fleeing Grimm were picked off one by one, with only two beowolves managing to escape the Beacon hunters.

The field is now quiet and empty as the beacon huntsman in-training were victorious against the Grimm.

"Is everyone alright?" Glynda called out to them.

"We're good." Pyrrha said, checking herself for any dirt or injuries.

Dove went out of the tree, carrying sky by his side. Cardin went over to help them.

Weiss and Ruby were good, although the latter had some dirt on her clothes. But both of them shift their attention back to the German specialist.

Hartmann stared at the large claw mark on his uniform. A claw mark like that would kill someone. But that was not the main focus of it. It was how in the hell did he survive that.

Hartmann could not believe how lucky he was when he unlocked his own Aura as soon as he was in a brink of death.

He then felt Weiss running to him whilst immediately grabbing his arm.

"Hartmann. Are you okay?" Weiss asked a bit franticly.

"Woah, it's okay. I am fine.."

Ruby followed. "We all head you screamed when that beowolf slashed you. Are you hurt?" Hartmann tried to answer, but he couldn't since both girls were checking is body for the injuries.

Surprisingly, his body was clean. Well, excluding all the dirt that were on his clothes. But overall, there were no sights of injuries or any blood flowing out. Apart from that claw mark on the middle of his shirt.

"You're not hurt..."

"H-How? I thought you don't have Aura on-" Weiss stopped herself before realizing the fact. "Unless...you unlocked your Aura.."

Ruby perked hearing that. "You have Aura now?!"

Hartmann nodded. "Yeah. I guess i did unlock my own Aura...which saved my life too, otherwise this scratch would've killed me." He pointed to that large claw mark on his shirt again.

Ruby and Weiss smiled as they were glad that he was okay. Just then, Glynda approached them from behind as the trio turn to her.

"Ms. Rose, Ms. Schnee." Glynda said to the girls. "Please kindly step aside. I want to have a talk with Mr. Hartmann, alone."

Hearing the last part, Hartmann gulped in fear, thinking that he might be in trouble for this. The other girls felt worried of him, but they nodded to the professor and walked away from them.

Hartmann exchanged looks with Glynda as they were both all by themselves.

Hartmann exhaled and spoke first. "So..i'm in trouble, right?" He chuckled, only for Glynda to cross her arms and look to him with a frown.

"I should be mad at you for not listening to what i said. To not do those reckless things." Glynda said. Hartmann could tell she was pretty mad at him and felt guilty of himself.

That is until she smiled. "But, you did what you had to do. Saving your fellow huntsman. And i approve of it."

He was a bit surprised of that. "Oh, so you are not mad at me?"

She shook her head. "No. And maybe i was just a bit protective of you back there." She rubbed the back of her neck. And that feeling of hers came back to her. Oh not again.

Hartmann smiled. "You don't have to anymore since-"

"You unlocked your Aura?" Glynda cut him off before putting one of her hands on her hips. Hartmann nodded of what she said. "I can see that. But, how did you unlocked it? I thought people like you from this "Earth" planet don't have them.

Hearing those questions made Hartmann's mind to scramble around. In order to not completely explode his brain, he did the simplest action, which could consider to be the easy way out in a few occasions.

He shrugged.

"I don't know. It just happened."

"Ok.." Her eyes narrowed a bit. "Maybe it's best if we discuss this when we get back to Beacon, alright?" Hartmann give her a last nod.

With that, Glynda walked away and check to the other students. Professor Peach had already catch up to them, observing the battlefield that they had won. Cardin went over to her and gave all the jars that they were tasked too.

Which reminded Weiss and Pyrrha that they left the jars from their own spot. They told Peach that they will get it back, and she obliges. Yang and Blake joined them to lend a helping hand too.

Hartmann then pick up the broken Kar98k on the ground. Now he isn't a gun enthusiast, but seeing the rifle ripped apart like this made him to feel...sad. Maybe because it's the only german rifle he would ever get his hands on in this different world. It's like he lost a fraction of his connection from earth.

He let out a sigh, before noticing that Ruby was staring at him all the time.

Being a weapon geek herself, it's a sad sight to see when someone loses their weapon. "You know, we could fix it up again when we get back." She said, trying to light up the mood.

"And do you think you know how to fix an old thing like this?" He showed her the Kar98k so she could observe it.

Ruby knew that Hartmann's rifle looked pretty old than her futuristic hybrid scythe-sniper rifle. Almost thought of it as one of those "classic" weapons just like Jaune's.

"Well, no. But i could help you modify it, if you want?"

Hartmann gave out a light chuckle. A modified Kar98k? That sounds pretty silly, unless it's a scope.

It's almost like adding an extended magazine for an American M1 Garand
(Looking at you COD WW2)

"No." Hartmann said. "I'll leave it like this."

"What are you gonna do with it?"

"I don't know. It is pretty much useless now, so..." Hartmann then put the broken Kar98k back on the ground. "..i'll leave it here and let it rest. It done its job."

Ruby smiled and giggled. "You said it like its a person."

"Hey, you treated your weapon, or should i say Crescent rose, like that aswell."

"Touche."

Both of them share a laugh, before they were called out from Glynda and Peach.

Cardin and Dove picked up all the weapons on the ground, where the Giant Ursa was before it evaporated. Cardin grabbed Russel's shortwings where as Dove picked up his weapon and Sky's.

Sky finally woke up after being knocked out for a while. He asked what happened back there, only for Dove to reply that will be answered after they go back. Because right now, the six huntsman including him were exhausted.

Peach and Glynda did a headcount to see if all of them were here. After that, they all set off back to the LZ

Leaving the open field, filled with all the dead and evaporating Grimm, and the broken German rifle on the ground.

_________________________________

On the way back to the bullheads, all the huntsmen got the jars back in the wagons. Cardin and two third of his team got their weapons back, the former carrying Russel's.

Hartmann still had his sword left for his weapon. He may have lost his rifle, but he still has his MP40 back in the academy. Not even that, there's still 2 crates left that he will open that will contain many of the equipment he know of.

"Hey, uh..Hartmann?" He then heard Cardin's voice talking to him. So he turned to the person.

"Yes?"

"I just want to say thanks for..saving my life and helped me back there.." Even though he was talking slowly, Hartmann understood what he meant, and hopefully their relations would sweeten up a bit. He waited till Cardin will say of what he thinks he would say.

"And...i just want to say...sorry for what i did to you, yesterday." And he did. "I never thought you would help me after what i did to you and your..friends, i guess."

Hartmann proudly smiled at that. "It's what i do to help all of my huntsmen allies, no matter what they are."

Cardin felt guilty now. "Look, i'll do anything for you to repay all of that. No excuses too."

Hartmann thought of it for a moment. "Just don't bully my friends anymore. Got it?"

"Understood." He nodded, but Hartmann wasn't finished.

"And you should stop picking on Velvet."

"That Faunus Freak? But-" Hartmann frowned and narrowed his eyes to him. No excuses, he said. Only a direct answer right away. With that, Cardin sighed. "Fine...i'll stop picking on her."

Hartmann smiled again. "Thank you, Cardin. You better keep your word." He then walk away from Cardin, with the latter mumbling around.

Team RWBY saw the whole thing with smiles on their faces. When Hartmann walk up to them, Weiss spoke out. "So, that solves Cardin's problem?"

He nodded. "Ja. We're somewhat cool now. And i said to him to not bully any of my friends i know."

The rose-xiao-long sisters heard it as Yang turned to Ruby. "Welp, guess he won't be bothering you anymore, sis."

"I hope so."

With no conversations left, all the huntsmen and huntresses walk back to the LZ.

____________________________________

They meet up with the rest of team JNPR and Russel. All were in relief that they were okay. Although Cardin argued with Russel that the latter ditched them from the fight, which the mohawk responded that he was getting help.

Peach broke off the argument and told all the students to go in to the bullhead pronto, and bring in all the jars with them.

They all nodded. Carrying the Jars in the bullheads. After that the students board up the aircraft. Like the teachers said, 7 students will board up the first bullhead, and the other 6 would board up the second.

But this time, they didn't mind which teams board up the bullheads. Which is why the bullhead that Glynda was in were occupied by all of team RWBY, two members from CRDL; Dove and Sky. And of course, Hartmann.

Which leaves the second bullhead to be occupied by JNPR and the other two members of CRDL; Cardin and Russel.

The bullhead then took off back to the academy.

In the lead bullhead, Yang saw her sister fell asleep. Seeing her sleep looked so cute. She may have been tired after that fight. Blake acknowledged it too, and lightly blush, before she look to another sight to be seen.

"Uh, Yang." Yang turned to her partner and asked what's up, before the black-haired girl pointed to the sight. Yang turned to it and couldn't help but grinned.

"Oooh, i wish i had a camera with me.."

Hearing the commotion from the back, Glynda walked in and asked what's going on. The next thing she saw had tugged her heartstrings together.

Hartmann and Weiss sitting next to eachother, and sleeping with one another. Both exhausted from that fight just like Ruby, so they needed this good rest.

All of the occupants didn't expect for them to sleep together like that.

Yang kept grinning from the sight, can't wait to tell them when they woke up. Blake only smiled at them, but still finds it cute.

Sky only rolled his eyes, and Dove didn't bother looking at them again, but it was kinda cute to him.

Glynda, meanwhile.

She hid her emotions at the sight, but in reality she find it to be so cute too. She didn't know why, but maybe it has to do with Hartmann again. Nonetheless, she straighten herself back up and let them be while she walk back to the cockpit.

________________________________

The open field that once just had a recent battle by the Grimm and Beacon's huntsmen were all but empty. All the grimm corpses had been evaporated to dust. The only thing laying there was the broken Kar98k on the ground. Resting alone.

But it won't be.

The two beowolves that survived the battle went back to the spot, only to see that their comrades had evaporated.

One of the beowolves grew angry of this as he was about to let out a roar of rage, that is when the other beowolf barked at him, saying that he found something.

The beowolf went to the spot of his comrade. The second beowolf barked and gestured to the broken Kar98k on the ground. The first beowolf look down to it and give it a sniff or two.

His ears perked and then barked to his comrade as he picked up a piece of it with his mouth, with the other beowolf did the same with the other piece.

After that, the two beowolves ran back to the trees.

Who knows why they took that old rifle as the Grimm weren't that fond of taking any human weapons.

Only time will tell...

==To be continued==
