~#1. Prologue ~
A beautiful villa stands strong in the most posh area of Mumbai city, Panvel. The villa belongs to an ace businessman, Ronit Mehra. He’s an inspirational businessman and a perfect family man. He’s blessed with a pretty wife and a beautiful daughter.
It is a beautiful morning, Ronit is sitting in the garden along with his pretty wife, Sandhya and they are relishing their morning tea. Ronit takes a sip of the warm tea and then looks at his wife.
“Sach mein, Sandhya! Aapke haathon mein jaadu hain. Aur ye subah ki chai! Wah! Sach kahun, toh aapki banayi hui chai se din shuruaat badi achi hoti hain.” He says.
“Acha ji! Aap bhi na, Ronit! Pichle 28 saalon se yahi ek baat bolte aa rahe hain. Aur koi compliment nahi hain kya aapke paas?” Sandhya shushes him with a smile lighting his face.
“Isme galat bhi kya hain, Sandhya! Hamare ghar mein full time maid hain, fir bhi main dekhta hoon ki aap hi khana banati hain! Aur subah ki chai toh aap khud hi banati hain. Toh isse acha compliment kya hoga aapke liye!” Ronit smiles sweetly at his wife.
“Hanji! Khoob jaanti hoon main apko! Apni beti ki tarah aap bhi gol gol baatein banana seekh gaye hain.” Sandhya smiles.
“Aur waise bhi! Aap aur aapki shehzaadi toh office chale jaate hain, toh main akele bhi kya karun! Aur naukar sirf madad ke liye hain. Aap dono ke liye khana banana toh mere liye sukoon hain. Ab apna sukoon aur apnon ki khushi naukron ke haath mein kaise chhod dun!” Sandhya continues and Ronit smiles.
Meanwhile, something strikes his mind and he looks at his wife.
“It’s 7:30! Hamari princess kahan reh gayi?” He asks about their daughter.
Before Sandhya could reply, a feminine voice echoes in the garden. A young girl in her mid- twenties enters the premises and is talking over the phone. She’s focussed on the call and is trying to explain something to the caller.
“Okay! Relax! There’s no need to panic, Aadhya! It’s okay! We can meet in the office and sort it out. I’ll reach office by 10 AM. You also reach office by then. We’ll sort it and wrap it up by 12 noon!” She says and sighs deeply as the caller agrees.
She cuts the call and jogs into the garden to her parents when her mom takes her name sternly and she looks at her mother innocently. Her mom is angry that it’s start of the day and she should be spending time with her parents and not on the official calls.
She’s Ruhana Mehra, Sandhya and Ronit’s only child. She is the apple of their eyes and they have given her an upbringing that has only made her a kind and compassionate woman. She is a person who never goes out of line, she’s kind and soft-spoken and acts childishly only in front of her parents, especially her beloved father. Ruhana hugs her mom.
“Sorry Mumma!” She says cutely but Sandhya eyes her angrily.
“Tumse kaha hai na apne calls 9 baje se shuru karo! Is time kyun! 28 saal toh tumhare papa ko samjhane mein beet gaye! Lekin tum bhi unke jaisi hi banti ja rahi ho!” Sandhya scolds Ruhana.
“Arey! Aadhya ka call tha! Wo meri dost hain! Mujhe kya pata tha ki wo kuch kaam ki hi baat karegi! Dad! Samjhao na! She keeps scolding me!” Ruhana looks at her dad making a face.
“Sorry! I can’t help it!” Ronit makes an innocent face.
“Aap dono na subah 9 baje take apne phones silent pe rakho! Dono baap beti ek jaise hain! Office ko mere ghar nahi laya karo dono! Nahi toh aaj se garden mein hi sona!” Sandhya makes a face.
“Chill mom! Ab aisa nahi hoga! Par apne thik kaha! Main toh hoon papa ki carbon copy!” Ruhana says as she hugs her dad who smears her head in concern.
Sandhya looks at them and smiles. She might get angry on them but they make her life a little better. She pours warm tea for Ruhana as she sits for beside her dad and they get busy chit-chatting. It’s their perfect way to start their day.

In another part of the city, a bungalow in Sunshine Society belongs to Anoop Singhania, a renowned businessman. He’s blessed with a pretty wife, Naina and a son whom they have found after many hardships. Anoop and Naina are sitting in the living room. Anoop is having his bread toast along with tea. The husband and wife are chatting along when someone enters the premises. Naina’s lips curve into a smile. She moves to open the door before the person could ring the doorbell.
She smiles as she looks at the newcomer. The person is no one but her son, Vineet Singhania. He pulls her in a hug immediately and then holds her hand and twirls her around. Naina is taken aback.
“Kya hua, beta? Tu bada khush hain!” Naina asks.
“Oh yes! Baat hi khushi ki hain!” Vineet chuckles as he stops and makes his mom sit on the couch.
“Acha! Kya baat hain? Tune mere liye bahu dhundh li hain kya?” Naina asks jokingly.
“Mom! Ye kya bahu bahu laga rahi ho!” Vineet whines while Naina laughs.
“Dekh tera business acha chal raha hain toh meri Bahu ke alawa aur kaunsi khushi ki baat hogi?” Naina raises her eyesbrows at her son.
“ Oh mom! Aap aapki bahu ko side pe rakho! Mereko koi shadi na karni. Filhal khushi ki baat ye hain ki jo London ki company ka tendor humne bhara tha, wo hume mil gaya hain. Agle mahine mujhe London jana hain aur wahan pe hi kaam shuru karna hain.” Vineet shares his happiness with his parents.
“Ye toh bahut achi baat hain beta! Lekin ye kaam India se ho sakta hain na?” Anoop asks.
“Jee dad! Lekin ek shuruaat karne ke liye jana hoga. The delegates have invited me.” Vineet says.
“Aur kitne din ke liye?” Naina enquires.
“Pata nahi, Ma! Lekin ap kyun sad ho rahi ho? Abhi bahut time hain. Acha mujhe bhukh lagi hain. Main shower leke aata hoon, aap kuch bana do!” Vineet says and Naina agrees.
Vineet rushes to his room to freshen up. He has just returned back from his Pune trip and he has got a good news. Anoop and Naina are quite proud of their son.
Surely, it’s a good and big day for them.
