Chapter 53

Y/N POV

The chill night air creeped over my skin as I turned the throttle up on my bike the road in front began to get hazy as I went past 120 kph. I pushed down the brake and turned to the left up a road towards a parking space on the mountain.

I took off my helmet and took a deep breath thinking about what happened today. I felt my anger rise thinking about it. "These fuckers tried to threaten Erza and me." I thought and snapped my eyes open. I took out the key and walked over to a rock to sit on it. I heard a bike drive up and saw Gray on it walking to me. He as well seamed to be rather furious about something.

He stopped next to my bike taking of his helmet. "You wanted to talk to me about something and here I am after you only told me the place and come now." He said and looked at me.

I knew that meeting Erza again would cause my life to change but I never knew how much. I was afraid that she would get hurt but I know deep down she isn't getting hurt and will stand back up to fight with a smile on her face just like when I saved her and she smiled at me with a warm smile even to she was scared. That smile of hers caused it all, so beautiful innocent and yet so dangerous and deadly at the same time.

I tried to forget her since the day I met her but I never could, my mind always went back to her every single time and everything I did was in some way connected to Erza. The work with the ISF. The day I supposedly killed José her mother was covering my back on the mission.

As much as I tried to push Erza away these last few days I never could get her away. There was always something that caused us to end up in each others arms. Erza was amazing, she is a fighter and never gives up she had so much horrible things going on her life yet she stands tall on the outside, yet to me she shows her vulnerable self. Every person has two sides and Erza is in truth very emotional and very affectionate. She doesn't hide her tears from me.

I always thought that I just liked her because of her personality but over time I grew closer to her and with my age going up I developed strange feelings to her that I had to push down.

I heard Gray call my name and I got out of my thoughts. We both fist bumped. "Yes after what happened I needed to get my head free and now I came to one conclusion." I said and gave him a serious look.

"And you want to tell me?" He asked and sat next to me on the rock.

I nod slowly. "The Deathbell Riders threatened to hurt the ones who are precious to me." I replied and he stiffened up lightly as I said it. I could see it in his eyes that something happened to him as well from how he reacted.

He gave me sympathetic look. "Jellal you know we can trust each other so what exactly are you planning to do about it?" He asked and looked at me as he laid a hand on my shoulder.

I sighed and moved my hands down in defeat and growled lightly. I pat his shoulder while giving him a small smile. "I know that we can trust each other Gray but this, I'm not sure if I should tell you or not since it's personal." I replied and Gray nod understanding it.

"Personal Huh." He exclaimed and gave me a smirk. "I'm sure it has to do with Erza, doesn't it." He replied and my heart stopped for a moment as he said her name.

Was I really this pissed because Erza was near me when they threatened me, when this happened once I kept cool and didn't move but when Erza was with me and the baby I had a feeling in me like I needed to protect them with all I can.

I clenched my fist and looked down thinking about it. Why is Erza doing so much to me? Sure we kissed and we are best friends but why am I acting so strange. The moment I heard the bikes my first thought was to protect her, her smile all that she has because that smile was the first thing that I saw when I said to her that I want to be her friend and because she smiled after I saved her from falling down that atrocious rainy night.

I stepped back and gave Gray a death glare. I got my composure back. "Why would you think that it has to do with Erza." I shot at him with a glare.

Gray laughed lightly and moved a hand through his hair. "She said that the Deathbell Riders showed up when the two of you looked after your aunts baby." He replied and I saw him have a smug look on his face.

I shot him a nasty glare and wanted to punch his smug grin out of the face. "What are you smiling about." I snorted and he stifled a laugh.

He smirked again before he crossed his arms. "Oh nothing, just that you and Erza took care of a baby and such." He mocked and I just sighed as I felt him pat my shoulder.

"I had no other choice ok." I said and raised my hands in defeat making him go back to serious.

"Back to why you actually wanted me here. I know you have more to say." Gray replied and crossed his arms.

I nod slowly. "Exactly, I want to get those assholes a message to not mess with us." I said and Gray gave me a look that meant he wanted to do the same.

"I see so you have been having the same idea as I do." He smirked and punched my shoulder.

"Of course, we will do nothing to harsh just a warning to them." I replied and showed Gray some papers.

He looked at them in wonder and took them from my hands. "What are these." He asked and flicked through them.

"These are very interesting messages from the Deathbell Riders about private stuff and such. I found out that Briar is faking her notes so that her parents think she is a good student while she most of the time only writes D or F and Jerome is throwing out his fathers money for bets that he loses so I thought why don't we give their parent's some intel about the kids and such." I said and smirked while Gray laughed.

"Yes this will be good." He replied and we drove to the various houses to place the letters inside it.

We arrived at Briars home and could see no lights on in the house. "Look this is the home of the school floozy how many guys do you think she had in her room." Gray asked and smirked at me while stifling a laugh.

"As far as I think half of the school and perhaps some teachers." I replied and Gray started to laugh heavily.

I put a hand on his mouth. "Are you trying to alert them." I snarled and he stopped laughing.

"Sorry I was just thinking that she has some kind of waiting list for guys since she literally jumps from one to the other on a daily base." He replied and I laughed lightly.

"Wouldn't surprise me honestly." I replied and Gray nod.

We placed the letter into the mailbox and high fived lightly, "Let's see how you will far with this Briar." We both laughed as we sat on the bikes driving away.

We drove away from the last house and drove to our next target the base of the Deathbell Riders.

We parked the bikes and headed to it. "So what's your next plan?" Gray asked and I motioned for him to follow me. I grabbed the baseball bat of his hands.

We approached the building in front of us and looked at it. "This is for her." I mumbled and Gray heard me as he smiled as well.

Erza is the only thing were I'm not taking a threat as a joke, someone says that he hurts Erza and he sure as hell will find himself on the ground beaten. No one messes with her no one dares to lay a hand on her. I wont let that happen. Never in my life will I see pain or fear on Erza's face again and let it slide.

I'll protect her until my last breath she's my light my everything.

I clenched my fists and clutched my jaw glaring at the building in front of me. They will pay now for trying to mess with us and I don't care if I'm getting shit on by Erza for doing something so risky.

I grabbed the bat and swung it at a glass window, it shattered and I saw inside that fireworks were around in the building. After a few minutes we were done, taking in the now damaged building that had it's windows broken it looked like an abandoned shack not that it was any different before.

I gave a look at Gray and he too saw them. "Should we try and make them blow up." I proposed and he grinned back at me.

"What do you think they plan with them." He asked and I thought for a moment.

"They would maybe try to take out the burning powder to make some soft of bomb." I proposed and his jaw lightly dropped in shock and anger.

I saw him grab a big fire cracker out of his pants. "I got this thing from Pyro." He said and I let out a whistle.

"Oh this will be amazing. It wont even be recognizable after it blows up." I replied and he set it on fire throwing it perfectly into the boxes with fireworks.

We ran to our bikes and heard it blow up, we drove away and the fire works went off with a loud bang. Gray and I turned to look at our work as the building was glowing like a disco. we fist bumped and both had huge grins on us.

"This is just perfect." I exclaimed taking in the wild explosion that happened a hundred meters away from us.

Gray leaned back on his bike and took of the helmet. "This felt better than I thought Y/n, you know." He exclaimed and I slowly looked at him.

I nod slowly. "Yeah at first I thought this would fill me with guilt but now that I see this beautiful artwork we created I'm sure that it was a good choice." I replied and leaned forward on my bike.

"Thanks for your help Gray really." I exclaimed and fistbumped him while giving him a short smile.

"I really have to thank you since I had something like this in mind as well for what they did." He replied with a cold glare.

We went back to Gray's home. We both parked the bikes in the garage. "So Gray you seem to be angered about something." I asked and looked at him.

He nod. "Yes the Deathbell Riders threatened to hurt Juvia." He exclaimed and I clenched my fist hearing this.

"They what." I snarled and Gray jumped back lightly. Juvia is a close friend of mine and I see her as a best friend since I helped her through some stuff in the past.

"Yes I was with Juvia eating something and they almost drove her over." He exclaimed and looked at me with the same coldness.

"So they are trying to attack all of us." I replied and he nod slowly.

I looked at him and there was silence between us but not a bad silence. I decided to brake it. "Tell me Gray you love Juvia don't you." I asked looking at his eyes and I saw him freeze for a second.

"What made you think that." He shot back crossing his arms. I knew the thing he had for her was more then he admitted to me.

I gave him a serious look. "Gray look at me. I know how you are, you protect Juvia from yourself but you can't do it forever one day she will brake through your wall and you will accept it." I said and laid a hand on his shoulder.

He gave me a nasty glare. Before he calmed down and I saw him look down and back with a smirk at me. "Tell me something Jellal, why did you do this I thought that Natsu or Laxus would do this but never you. I'd never expect you the only one who thinks before he acts to do something so dangerous." He exclaimed with a serious look and I kept looking at him with a cold glare.

I shrugged at what he said. "I don't know what you mean, they threatened my friends my family and the ones I care about so I gave them a warning." I replied raising my arms lightly up.

I saw Gray's lips go into a smirk. "Tell me when you said her  you meant Erza right, you did this for her Erza. They threatened to hurt her." He said and started to think for a bit before giving me a sneer that I didn't like the look off. The words that fell from his lips left me frozen on the spot.

"Are you in love with Erza."
