Y/n Pov

After last weeks dance at Gray's home and the race week I drove back home and slept there. My father was really proud after I told him what I did to protect Erza.

I drove up to school since it's Monday now. Gray told me to meet him before class because he wants to show me something. I parked my car and Wendy hopped out of it she walked to Erza and the others.

"Hey Y/n aren't you going to class?" Lucy said furrowing her eyebrows in wonder.

"No Gray asked me to meet him at the sportshall" I said and pointed towards the sportshall.

"Just don't come too late into class. I can't stand it when I see students come in after the bell" Erza said with a stern expression.

"Right I forgot that you are the student council president" I said and ruffled her hair.

"Hey don't ruin my hair you dummy" She pouted and moved a strand of hair out of her face before smiling at me.

"See you in class Scarlet" I said and gave a little hug to her before I walked away to find Gray in the sportshall.

I walked over and saw Gray stand at the entrance to the sports hall. "You wanted to say something to me right Gray" I asked and greeted him by punching his shoulder.

"Yes you remember when we played against Saber Tooth and you scored the point right" He asked and played with a basketball.

"Yes of course how could I not remember it" I said with a wide grin.

"Show me how you did it from here you literally threw it from half the field" He said and threw a basketball towards me.

"Fine if you insist" I said and smirked. I threw the ball and it landed in the basket.

"So it wasn't just luck" I heard an old man say behind me. I turned around and saw the principal from the Fairy Tail Academy.

"Master what you doing here" I asked in surprise and bowed.

"You can call me Makarov" He said and smiled warmly.

"I saw how you played the match on Friday, Jellal" He said and looked up to me.

"I was asked by coach Gildarts to play since he thought that I had talent" I said playing with the basketball.

"I see you weren't a full member of the basketball team then" He said with a thoughtful expression.

"You know kid you remind me of someone that played here on this field years ago" He said with a slight smile.

"And who was that?" I asked in wonder.

"I was. He said and looked up. "You threw the basketball in the basket from the same distance as I did once. I have a proposition to ask you" He said and waited for my response.

"And what would that be" I asked in wonder.

"For you to join the Fairy Tail Lions as a real team member" Gray said and threw me a shirt of the Fairy Tail Lions and I caught it.

I looked at the shirt and it had written 'Jellal' on it with the number 52 "Well I kind of want but wouldn't it interfere with the classes I have to take" I said and looked at the principal.

"Not at all. Here is your new chard with the classes you have to take and when the training with your team is going to be" He said and handed me it.

"I don't know what to say except thank you Makarov. I will join the Fairy Tail Lions" I said and took the new chard.

"Hell yeah now that we have both stripper freaks we'll be beating everyone easily" Gajeel said as he walked towards me from the locker room.

"I'm gonna enjoy fighting you over the ball in the training Y/n." Natsu yelled running towards me.

"I knew it that you'd agree on joining the Fairy Tail Lions" I heard a familiar voice say it. When I turned around I saw Erza with the others stand there at the entrance she walked to me and gave me a bone crushing hug. I could hear my joints in my spine crack from her hug.

"Hey Erza what are you doing here" I asked in shock as I held her shoulders.

She looked up to me with her warm and soft eyes that were sparkling with joy. She moved a step back and moved her hands to undo the buttons of her jacket that she wears. She opened it and I saw my basketball shirt with my name and the number 52 on her.

"What do you think of your basketball shirt Jellal" She said and spun around one time.

"I think it looks good I wonder why it has the number 52 on, does it have a reason" I asked and she looked at me.

"It does actually" She said and punched my shoulder playfully.

"Now then go and change into your outfit your first training starts now" Erza yelled in her bossy way that she uses in school.

"Yes Scarlet" I said with a playful chuckle.

I changed into my shirt and sports shorts and walked out I saw Erza stand there with the same outfit as me on.

"Shouldn't you go into class Erza" I said and eyed her outfit.

"This is my class, you are the only one of us that didn't have the same classes. But now you do." She said with a light smirk.

"Jellal I'm glad that you joined us" Gildarts said and pat my shoulder making me drop down to the ground.

"Ops sorry" He said and took his clipboard from the bench.

"Alright lets see if everyone is here. Laxus, Gajeel, Gray, Natsu, Loke, and Jellal check. Mirajane, Levy, Juvia, Lucy, Cana and Erza check. Seems like everyone is here go and run five laps around the field and then we will go and discuss today's main point of training". Gildarts said and sat down at the bench.

I began to jog and do some exercises to get my body warmed up, of course Natsu had to run like a madman. Erza was next to me, we gave each other some ideas for stretching. When I noticed my dad talk with Makarov about something. I know that my parents both went in this school just like everyone else parents of my friends.

He told me the day before I went to school that the principal wanted to change some things in the school. Would be sad to see it change after 80 years The founder of Fairy Tail Academy gave her whole heart to it, Mavis Vermilion Her statue is in the middle of the campus.

"You all ran five laps, now we'll play defender and attacker one team tries to defend the basket and the other has to score" Gildarts said and threw a basketball at me.

"Team A will be Erza, Y/n, Juvia, Gajeel, Cana and Mira. Team B will be Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Loke, Laxus and Levy. Team A will play the attackers!"He yelled the last part and blew into his whistle.

I dribbled the ball with my right hand Natsu was coming towards me like a ram, in the last moment I made a low pass towards Erza she got it and threw it at Juvia that dribbled it past Lucy. Juvia than passed it to Gajeel he scored the point. Every time a we scored the teams switched now it was our time to defend Natsu had the ball and dribbled it past me only for him to run right into Erza who got the basket ball of his hands and we scored another point.

"This is how it works. I see" I exclaimed and Erza smirked.

"It's quite simple the defenders have to take the ball to get a point the attackers have to score in order to gain a point" She said with a stern expression.

"I'm quite surprised to see you girls play basketball" I smirked at Erza.

"Well it's more like an exercise since we never play against other basketball teams" Mira retorted throwing the ball to Cana that lost it to Gray.

"Natsu what's up with you today you aren't as eager like always" Gray snorted.

"It's just with Jellal now in the team it's a lot harder to win this" Natsu retorted and picked the ball up.

"That's not what I meant" Gray retorted with a scoff.

"Stop, now we'll simulate a match the teams stay the same" Gildarts yelled and we moved to our side.

Gildarts threw the ball up and Gajeel caught it he threw it towards Erza that immediately dribbled it in front she passed it to Cana that made a high pass to Juvia, she then threw it at the basket but missed only form me to get the ball and dunk it in.

"Ecxelent teamplay guys" Gildarts commented.

Erza had now the ball she passed it to me and I was cornered by Laxus and Gray "You wont get it" I sneered.

I threw the ball to Gajeel but Natsu snatched it half way to him and ran past me.

"Seems like you can be beaten" Natsu scoffed with a wide grin.

"I'll get it back anyway" I shouted at him and ran after. He was cornered by Erza and Mira he threw the ball towards Gray that dunked it in the basket.

"Good seems like we have a team that is on paar with each other." Gildarts exclaimed.

"Mira how about we kick it up a notch" Erza said and her expression darkened.

"I'd gladly do that" She retorted with an evil grin.

I saw Natsu and Gray get scared. While Laxus just laughed a bit.

"I'm all fired up come at me!" Natsu snorted and put his fists together.

This time it was a real battle close on close the game against Saber Tooth seemed like child's play when compared to this one. Erza scored the last point and I caught the ball.

We all were sweating heavily and it was just morning we have half an hour before our next lesson. "Great tomorrow is gonna be the game Mermaid Heel Vs Quadro Cerberus any bets." Gildarts said looking at his clipboard.

"If I would say from what I saw I'd say Mermaid Heel is going to win but knowing Quadro Cerberus they were able to make a win even after everyone thought they lost against Lamia Scale" Levy exclaimed while she mused about something.

Levy and Loke began to draw lines on the blackboard like they made a plan of sorts.

"If you ask me they will have a head on in the game but in the end Mermaid Heel is going to win it" Loke retorted.

"What's up with you two that you are drawing stuff on the blackboard" I exclaimed in confusion.

"That's because Levy and Loke are the tacticians from our team on the field they aren't strong players but give them a pen and a blackboard and they'll give you a victory." Erza said breathing heavily and drank from her water bottle spilling a little on her chin.

"So why do we two have the same shirt number but different names" I asked and looked at Erza's number.

"My eyes are up here" She retorted and punched my shoulder lightly. "Girls can have the same number since you can distinguish them from guys so it's not a problem" She said and moved a strand of hair out of her face.

"Why aren't you in the team next time. Erza you are really capable". I exclaimed and she got slightly nervous.

"Well since we have a full team now with you I don't see any reason why I should play in a match" she retorted and nervously looked away.

"This is it for today we'll make a strategy once we know who we will face off against" Gildarts exclaimed and we went under the showers.

I walked down the corridor when I noticed Natsu behaving a bit strange. "Hey Natsu what's up with you. You seem in thoughts" I said and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Nothing really" He retorted and sighed.

"Natsu don't make me ask you another ten times you haven't behaved so passive lately I can feel something is up" I said and gave him a soft smile.

He sighed" It's about Zeref" he looked to the ground and I saw everyone stop walking.

"What? You mean Zeref your brother" I asked and gave him my full attention.

"No forget it" He said looking away and began to walk to his class.

"What is up with him" I asked in confusion.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and Gray looked at me.

"It's a sensitive subject to talk about his brother." Gray said curtly and lowered his head.

"His brother is in a coma since six years. The doctors are sure that he wont wake up anymore." Erza said before she walked further.
