Ahana's P.O.V

"Leave where, Ahana?" Nidhi asked again.

"Nidhi! My bestie! I missed you! How are you?" I go to hug her. She pushed me away and narrowed her eyes. "Yea not going to work missy. You didn't even hug me on my birthday and now you hug me just cause you miss me? Puh-lease!" She said. 

Oh god. She'll kill me once she hears.

As I was going to tell her to go to my room, my brother just had to interrupt. "Ahana isn't your best friend any more. Did she tell you she's getting married? No right? See?" he said smirking at me. That little- "What the hell?! Married? What is he saying Ahana?" Nidhi tugged my arm.

"I'm telling the truth. Right di (sister)?"he said. I glared at him which resulted in him running to his room.

"Okay what is going on? What is Aryan saying?" she asked me looking half curious and half offended.

"Come on," I tell her and pull her to my room. 

"Okay I'll tell you everything. Don't interrupt and don't kill me...please," I tell her. She nodded telling me to proceed.

"Alright so my dad met this childhood friend of his at the temple yesterday. His friend's name is Mr Ram Malhotra and-" "Whoa! Wait you mean The Ram Malhotra? The owner of Malhotra Steel Industries?" she interrupted. 

"Uh what?" I asked. She gave me this are-you-fudging-kidding-me look which kind of made me feel a little stupid. I raised my eye brows. "Wow you seriously are clueless." 

"Well then maybe you can tell me what you're talking about Miss Know-it-all?" I said feeling a bit offended.

She made a face but nodded. " The Malhotra Steel Industries are very famous because they are one of the biggest steel industries not just in India but the whole world. They are also famous because they are known for their charity work." Oh. I didn't know all of this. 

She continued, " Dev Malhotra, father of Ram Malhotra started those industries. He put in a lot of hardwork. And that's why it is doing so well. Ram Malhotra is also running it with equal hardwork and maybe in a year or two, he'll retire and his eldest son, Rehaan Malhotra will take over."

Whoa! When she said they were famous, I didn't think they were this  famous.

"Rehaan Malhotra is SO hot Ahana! You have no idea. Even his brother Sanjog is very good looking. When you look at them, you just can't take your eyes off them! They were even asked by many magazines to model for them but unfortunately they both disagreed," she kept rambling.

So, by the looks of it, it seems like my best friend is crushing on the guy my parents want me to marry. How much more lucky can I get? Please note the sarcasm.

"So wait, continue what you were saying," she said, finally.

"Where was I?" I asked.

"Your dad childhood friend with The Ram Malhotra..?"? she said. "Ya! So uhm how do I say this?" I ask no one in particular feeling frustrated.

"Uh with your mouth?" Nidhi suggested. I rolled my eyes and continued," So don't shout okay? and don't interrupt. So, my dad and Mr Malhotra met at the temple today. Mr Malhotra is apparently searching for a girl for his son Rehaan and they weren't satisfied with the girls they had met. Then Mr Malhotra remembered me and asked my dad if I was single and if it worked out, my hand in marriage with Rehaan," I said. 

She just kept staring with her jaw slightly dropping. I shook her.

"OH MY GOD!!! So you're telling me that you might be getting married to THE Rehaan Malhotra?!" she exclaimed.

"Uh kind of yea," I say feeling a little embarrassed. I felt a sting in my shoulder. "Ouch! Why'd you hit me?!"  "Oh I donno, you kind of hid the fact that you're getting married and I'm supposed to be your best friend !!" she said.

"Look I'm sorry okay? I just found out yesterday and it's not everyday that you listen to news like this and hence I was shocked myself. I needed to think...," I try to explain.

"Yea yea but this time I forgive you but when you get pregnant, before you tell Rehaan you're going to tell me. And promise me you'll make me the Godmother," she said.  I blushed hearing her words. Just the thought of having children made me blush. Jeez.

I shake my head. Way to be so blunt Nidhi!

Even though this is extremely embarrassing, I'm glad my best friend is acting normal. I would've felt horrible if she was mad at me.
