Taehyung
"Is it the one with the red door?"
"No, my door is brown"
"Wait is it this one? Number 4?"
"Taehyung I already told you my house is number 8"
"Oh yeah, never mind"
I stroll down the pavement, phone up to my ear and bag of food for Jungkook hanging from my long fingers. The birds sing from their branches, the sound mixing with the soft breeze that flows through my hair like water. The wind stings my cheeks but does not interfere with my wrapped up body, underneath layers of clothes to face the early spring. Flowers that line people's front gardens carry buds getting ready to bloom and the trees begin to grow back their lush green leaves that hover above me like a canopy.
A house on the right, notably with the number 8 hammered onto the front of the white gate at the foot of a gravel path leading up to a brown door, enters my field of vision.
"I can see it~" I sing down the phone and I hear a giggle on the the other end of the call. I spot a figure waving in a window on the top floor and smile.
"I can see you~" he sings back with his angelic voice and I lift the hand holding the bag up in an attempt to wave back. I reach the gate and undo the latch, my feet crunching on the stones as I step onto the gravel on the other side. The figure disappears from the window and I approach the door with a smile on my face.
Before I even go to knock on the wood, the door bursts open, revealing the figure from the window. His hair is slightly messy but in a cute way rather than untidy, his cheeks dusted with a light pink. I hang up the call on my phone and shove it in my pocket as I bask in the beauty before me. It sounds cheesy but it's true.
Jungkook practically leaps forward and slings his arms around my neck, leaning all of his body onto mine. I grin and return the embrace, wrapping my own arms around his middle.
"How have you been, baby?" I whisper into his ear, his grip around me tightening like a child who finally found their mother after getting lost.
"Can we just... stay like this for a minute?"
And so we did.

"So, what do you want to do?"
We sit on Jungkook's plump white bed decorated with a fluffy grey blanket, red pillows and shamelessly showcased haikyuu and ironman cushions. The whole room is an assortment of white and black with the odd splash of red here and there. It's fairly tidy, however a few pieces of clothing lay strewn across chairs and the carpeted floor.
Jungkook is laying in between my legs, resting his head on my shoulder with his back facing my chest. My head is leant against the wall, fingers twisting and stroking strands of the younger's mop of hair that is situated ideally, just below my chin. My other hand rests on his stomach, intertwined with his own long but dainty fingers.
"I don't mind, just as long as we don't go out the house" I hear him sigh and I lean down to kiss the top of his head.
"Are you still bugged by that person supposedly following you?" I hum against his hair and I feel him nod under my lips.
"Yes! I'm telling you hyung, there's someone out to get me but I haven't done anything, right? Perhaps they have the wrong person?" Jungkook huffs for what seems like the tenth time with frustration in his voice. The grip on my hand tightens.
"Perhaps. Look Kookie, I'm sure it's not as serious as you think! Maybe it's just someone admiring you from afar and you're skipping to conclusions thinking they're some kind of axe murderer working for the KKO" I explain and he fidgets in his spot.
"KKO?"
"Kill Kook Organisation"
"Hyung, this isn't some kind of joke! It's not funny!" He sits up and turns to face me, tears clearly forming in his dark brown eyes. Now that I can see his face, I realise just how scared he really is.
"Okay okay I'm sorry babe" I say apologetically and wrap my arms around his waist, pulling him closer. The sadness from his expression falters but hasn't completely disappeared. I lean forward and connect my lips to his neck, tracing sloppy kisses down to his collarbone.
"How about we go out and do something, take your mind off things" I hum against his milky skin and I feel him tense under my lips. I continue kissing the crook of his neck in an act of reassurance.
"I don't wanna go anywhere" he pouts and slings his arms around my neck, resting his forehead on my shoulder. I rub his back in a soothing manner and hold him closer.
"I'll make sure no one hurts you baby, I promise. We could go shopping where there's lots of people" I suggest and the tension in Jungkook's shoulders relaxes as he sinks into my body.
"Okay but... if anything happens it's your fault"
I lean back so that his head moves from my shoulder, large brown eyes gazing into mine. Moving forward, I peck his soft pink lips with my own before offering a large grin.
"Don't worry, daddy will protect you"

"How about that one?"
"No it's too big"
"This one?"
"Too blingy"
I pick up another ring from inside the glass case in the jewellery shop, holding it in my hand so that the light reflects onto the small diamond encrusted into the silver.
"This one is nice, right?" I pass the ring to Jungkook who slides it onto his finger, eyes beaming.
"I love it! It's perfect but... it looks expensive" his look of glee is replaced with disappointment as he looks at the price tag.
"Baby I'll pay for it, I don't care how much it is"
Jungkook's expression suddenly lights up and he throws himself onto me with his arms outstretched.
"Really? Thank you hyung" he beams and tightens the embrace. I chuckle and ruffle his hair.
"Anything for my baby boy"
He steps out of the hug and raises an eyebrow. I frown in response and he giggles.
"What are you, some kinda sugar daddy?" He smirks and turns the ring on his finger with long slim fingers.
"I like to think of myself as a glucose guardian" I wink and he makes a 'pfft' noise before laughing and pulling the ring off. He places it on the glass counter and I fish out my wallet, pulling out a few large notes.
After paying and exiting the shop, we both walk hand-in-hand down the busy street lined with shops and restaurants. The sky overhead is a silver-blue with fluffy white clouds decorating the colourful canvas; they move swiftly through the air with the blowing winds that flows through our chocolate hair. The subtle aroma of coffee enters my senses as we stroll past a posh café, people chatting and laughing accompanying the soundscape of people and nature.
However, something catches my attention with both my ears and eyes that doesn't quite fit the usual scene. A quick flash and click from behind. Without turning round, I tighten my hold on Jungkook's hand and speed up my pace. The younger looks at me with confusion.
"Come with me, quickly"
We both break out into a jog as I manoeuvre through bodies of people, dragging Jungkook and making sure he's close behind me.
"Tae what's going on?" I hear him call out but I ignore him, getting faster until we're running down the street. I look behind my shoulder to see a hooded figure following behind not too far away, camera in hand. I turn a corner into an alley and let go of Jungkook's hand.
"Baby I need you to hide here for a few minutes. I'll come back for you I promise just... don't move, okay?" I kiss him on the lips and step back, watching the confusion and fear settle on his face.
"Tae what are you gonna do?" His voice quivers and so does his bottom lip, eyes filling with water.
"Don't worry baby, I'll be fine. Just stay hidden" I back away and watch as he drops to the floor, back to the crumbling brickwork covered with moss.
"I love you" he calls out and I force a smile, both reassuring Jungkook and myself.
"I love you too" I whisper and exit the alleyway, spotting the figure to my left closer than before. I break into into a sprint, feet splashing in a series of shallow puddles causing cold water to soak into the lower section of my jeans. My socks grow soggy but I continue forward despite the horrid feeling underneath my feet. The wind hits my skin at an immense force but I ignore it, heaving and huffing as I run.
I turn down a street to the left and then the right, trying to lose the hooded figure. However, they continue to follow close behind without a single sign of struggle. Me, on the other hand, am most definitely struggling. The continuous sprinting is pushing me to the point of exhaustion.
I should have gone to the fucking gym like Jimin told me to.
My legs almost give way underneath my body, causing me to stumble and lose my speed. The figure gets closer and closer until they're an arm's distance behind, so much so that I can hear they're heavy breathing. I look ahead and my heart instantly drops. Towering above the narrow street is a metal fence with a single door in the middle, secured shut with a large golden padlock.
I'm screwed.
I gain some momentum and rush towards the fence, leaping upwards and grabbing hold of the top. The steel spikes on the peak dig into my fingers and I groan with pain, trying to pull my body weight up and over the barrier. Suddenly, I feel a hand grasp onto my wet ankle, tugging it downwards. With all the strength I can muster, I attempt to pull myself up and out of the person's hold.
Another hand wraps around my other foot and I try and kick them off, only to lose my grip completely and be pulled with an extremely strong force down onto the ground. My body collides with the hard tarmac and a huge wave of pain passes through my whole form. I hiss and prop myself up with my shoulder to look up at the chaser.
All I can see under the hood is a wide sickly grin of white, contrasting with the dark clothing and lightly tanned skin. I find my footing and go to stand up, only to have a leg swing under me so that I fall back to the ground with a thud. My shoulder screams in pain, telling me to stop trying and give in. I block out the distress and lunge forward on my knees, grabbing hold of the figure's leg. They yelp with a low voice, notably male.
"Who the fuck are you and why are you trying to hurt Jungkook?" I yell with all the energy I have left, tightening my grip on his shin. He leans down and pulls my arm off. Whilst still holding my wrist, he pulls it upwards so that I look in the same direction. I'm met with the ghastly grin that makes me want to leap up and punch him straight in the face.
"You really want to know?" The man says in an incredibly familiar voice which makes my lip curl in disgust. I know it and yet I don't believe it.
His tanned hand clutches onto the top of the hood and yanks it down, revealing the face I was in denial to register.
No.
"It's a wonderful day, isn't it? A beautiful spring day. I know spring is your favourite month, you told me when we went out for a picnic two years ago. Do you still like it? Even now?"
I growl and go to throw a punch, only to be stopped by a large hand that is cold to the touch.
"Shut up. Just shut up!!!"
"That's no way to speak to your elders" he grimaces and throws my hand to the ground, splashing in the puddle I've been strewn in.
"I don't care" I scowl and look up at him through wet bangs that stick to my forehead, eyes like daggers. I take a deep breath as the realisation finally decides to kick in, the air shaking as it enters my lungs and the same when it exits in a cloud of white. My fingers quiver and knuckles go white as I ball them into fists. Despite my anger, tears form in my eyes making my vision unclear and misty. I lick my chapped lips and spit out the word like acidic venom.
"Dad"
