"My Syren Belongs To The Ocean" (Fable)

Let me tell you a tale of a woman I loved so long ago

She had eyes like Indian sage and hair like marigolds

Her skin was tinted the shade of the  Caribbean's sands

And upon her wrists she wore pirate made silver bands

She sailed the world with all the cutthroats and thieves

All of them admired her but her only was the briny deep

Her crew made port one day in the early months of the eve

I saw her walk into the place with ease and that was it for me

I didn't have no fighting chance I fell for her that very instance

She was as beautiful as a wild piece of  forbidden crimson

She ordered rum for her and her men then toasted to the lands

Here's to the world's we set out to discover all that we can!

She finished her drink then looked back with firey eyes at thee

And spoke with such passion, What say ye say want to join me?

I shook my head it was against the law to associate with pirates

Even if they were as alluring as this temptable sea capt'n syren

She nodded her head as if to say she understood my decision well

Then hopped off the table yelling to Davy Jones we ride the swells!

Straight to the Stars, they finished leaving the tavern befuddled

The crew cheered for adventure as they emptied their rum bottles

I never saw that girl again she now belongs to the vast ocean

But still the memory remains like that of a precious coin token

I miss her and hope I'll see her come back over that horizon

It's been years but still I wait for the day when I'll be with my love again
