Arnav was feeling very low. Why wouldn't he? It was not easy for him to reveal his painful past to anyone.
Without telling anyone, he was carrying his past within himself.

Arnav's old self has disappeared from everyone's mind or maybe they didn't want to acknowledge him and his pain. So, he didn't disturb them in their peaceful life and kept himself away from them.

It wasn't that he was alone. He wasn't. There were some great people with him who never left his side. He tried several times to make them leave his side, but they did not listen to him and always clung to his side.

Although he maintained his distance from them they gave him their silent support. They are none other than Aman and NK. He knew they still loved him and worried for him. So, he tried his best to keep himself away from any unnecessary fights and arguments.
Because he knew if they found out about his problem, they would not keep quiet and involve themselves in his problems. They were indeed his well wisher. And He will always be grateful to them.

He was so lost in thought that he forgot that Khushi was also there with him.

Khushi was shocked. She has never been so shocked in her entire life. She couldn't understand how a mother could treat her own child like that? Just How ??

Tears were flowing from their eyes. Khushi placed her hand on his shoulder and called him softly ''Arnav!''

Arnav came out of his thoughts and stared at Khushi for a few seconds and then looked away.

He was afraid, Afraid to see the hatred in her eyes.

''What if she also thinks of you a bad omen?'' His mind warned him.

''No, she will never hate you. You know that Arnav. Don't you?'' His heart tried to encourage him.

''Yes. She said.. She will never hate me.'' Arnav tried to think positive for the first time. Gathering some courage he again looked at her.

His eyes met hers and Khushi threw herself into his arms. She held him with all her might. Then started crying silently.

Arnav tried to move back so that he could wipe away her tears but Khushi didn't let him move and her hold became stronger.

Not finding any other way, Arnav hugged her back and caressed her hair awkwardly. This was very new to him.

After a few minutes of silence Arnav spoke ''you are not angry with me na Khushi? I have endured everyone's hatred but I cannot take your hatred Khushi. Please don't hate me.''

Khushi looked up and saw his moist eyes.

Khushi wiped his tears with her palm and thought '' These eyes have seen and cried enough, Not anymore. I won't let you suffer like this Arnav. I won't.''

''Khushi... why aren't you talking? Do you.. Do you also think I am responsible for Papa's Dea..'' He was cut in the middle as khushi put her hand over his mouth to stop him from saying that horrible sentence.

''Noo, Don't.. Don't say that ever. Ever... You didn't do anything Arnav. You didn't. Put it on your hand clearly and never uttered that line ever.'' Khushi stopped and controlled herself before speaking farther.

''It was purely an Accident. It had nothing to do with you. I don't want to talk about your mother. She will understand her mistake for sure but she won't get the chance to rectify her mistakes.. No not mistakes but sins.'' Khushi spoke very dangerously and Arnav lowered his eyes.

''I'm sorry for not being with you during your hard times'' Arnav tried to interrupt but Khushi didn't let him speak.

''I know that time I was in Lucknow and that's what I'm thinking. What was I doing there? I should have come here earlier. Doing so I could have met that Cute wala Arnav. Now You have become so Khadoos. Don't know how long it will take to bring back that old Arnav. But you don't worry. Why fear when Khushi is here.'' Both of them laughed hearing her last line.

''Khushi, you know.. Mmmm.. That day... I called him. I called him so many times. I asked Him to
looked at me and talked to me. But.. But he didn't listen to me Khushi. Why did be do this to me? He knew.. How much I loved him. He knew, He was my world. I always looked up to him for everything. Then, why did he leave me? Why? I called him so many times.. Papa.. Papa. Wake up.. Please wake up. I even begged him. But he didn't listen. He never said no to me for anything. He always listened to my every demand. Then why didn't he listen to my calls that day? Why?'' His voice was breaking because of all the emotions.

''Shhh! Shhh!'' Khushi held his cheeks with both palms and looked into his eyes.

''Arnav.. don't break down. He is not happy to see his brave chotte fall apart like this. He loved you Arnav. He loves you so much and he already proved it when he saved you without thinking about himself. He didn't care about himself but you. Do you want him to feel pain seeing you like this? He can't come here and console you like before. He will feel more pain if you don't hold yourself. Do you want him to feel pain? No na? Then you have to fulfill all his dreams.'' Khushi tried to make him understand.

Arnav was only staring at her without saying anything.

''Arnav, he always wanted to see you succeed. But look, what you have done to yourself. You have completely changed yourself.He never wanted to see his chotte like this. so, now you have to bring back your papa's chotte.'' This time Arnav interrupted.

And I will be your GUIDE to help you make those dreams come true. I will be your VOICE to express yourself in front of the world. I will be your ADVISOR if you need advice. If you miss your Papa. I'll love you like your PAPA. If you ever miss your mother's warmth, come to me. I will be your MOTHER. You don't have to go near your so-called mother. In fact, I will be your EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING..'' Khushi tried to show him some dreams through her eyes.

A small smile appeared on his face ''You are only seventeen but talking like a Grandmother. You know, You are crazy.''

''Haan. I know. Wo bhi bachpan se. Jab Adhar card banane ka time ayega na? tab waha bhi daal dungi''Khushi replied cutely.

Both of them laughed. They sat there and talked for hours about themselves, forgetting about the world.

When the sun set and darkness enveloped them, they got up to go back to their homes. They started walking on the dark streets.

''Arnav, if you want.... you can come with me. My family members will be very happy to meet you.'' Khushi said suddenly.

''Mmmm. No. Not today. Some other time.'' Arnav politely refused.

''Ok.''

They walked for a while and suddenly Khushi grabbed his hand from behind and Arnav looked back confused.

''You've been alone for so long but not anymore. Now you have me. You will never feel alone in my company. Most importantly you can't stay silent. I hate silence. So, you have to talk to me whenever I want. Deal?'' Khushi asked in a stern tone.

''Mmm. What about you do that talking part and I'll patiently listen to your blubb.. mmmm. TLAK.'' Arnav gave another proposal.

''Waise... deal accha hain. Done. (Well the deal is good. Done.)'' Khushi happily agreed.

'' From now on we are partners. Not assignment Partners like before. Partners like ... Partner in crime, Partner in craziness. One more thing. You get irritated very quickly. Promise me you will never get irritated with my antics. And you have to bear all my tantrums and craziness. Ok?''

''Mmm. Now I think I should reconsider my decision about this Partnership.'' Arnav uttered and instantly got a punch from Khushi.

''Don't you dare to think about that.'' Khushi treated him.

''Ok Madam. Deal accepted.'' Arnav happily agreed.

''One more thing.''

''Yes?''

''From today I'll be your Manager. I will manage everything in your life from now on.''

''Huh!'' Arnav looked at her with wide eyes.

''Khushi re.. Khushi matlab Happiness. I'll be your happiness. I'll bring back all your lost happiness. I'll fill your life with lots of joy and happiness.'' Khushi replied excitedly.

Arnav felt warmth and affection after a long time. He was overwhelmed by reaching so much affection. He felt blessed to have met a girl like her. And he knew he would accept all her deals, no matter what they are.

''So, Arnav. Are you willing to accept all my conditions?'' Khushi asked.

''Why not Miss Gupta? I see no alternative but you." Arnav replied smilingly.

''Ok. Congrats. Deal done. You will receive legal documents tomorrow..''

''Sure, Miss Gupta.''

''Ok then. I'll start my manager duty from tomorrow sir.''

''Sure.''

Both smiled and continued walking towards Khushi's house..

''Here is your destination, Miss Gupta. Good Night. See you tomorrow.'' Arnav said and walked back.

''Arnav!'' Khushi again called him.

''Hmmm''

''Happy Friendship Day Arnav!''

''Today is Friendship Day?'' Arnav asked, confused.

''Yes, Sir.''

''Ohh. I forgot.'' Arnav said.

''Why wouldn't you? aap apane bhaagane kee yojana banaane mein vyast the. But see I've caught you. And you have agreed to all my terms on this Friendship day. So, never broke our deal.'' (you were busy planning your escape)

''I won't. I got the best gift on this Friendship day and I'm not a fool to say No. So, yes. This deal is final and I'm not going to run away from you and your deal.'' Arnav replied.

''Thank you.''

''Welcome. Now I need to go. Bye.''

''Arnav?'' Khushi called him again.

''Now what?'' Arnav asked.

''You haven't wish me back.'' Khushi replied with a pout.

'' Happy Friendship Day..''.... ''Can I go now?''

''Yes. Byee.'' Khushi said and ran inside her house.

''Pagal'' Arnav muttered and started walking towards his Home.
