Arnav and Khushi got inside the Principal's office and found it empty. A peon came and told them to wait here.

They stood there in silence. Khushi was staring at the walls and shelves. On the walls there were various pictures of different events and on the shelves there were various trophies won in different competitions by the students of the school.

While seeing them her eyes fell on a picture of a boy who was standing beside a woman with a wide grin on his face and that woman beside him was holding a big trophy. Seeing the smile on their face Khushi didn't know why a smile broke into her own face.

The boy seemed to be familiar to her but couldn't able recognize him. Her eyes fell on the chocolate brown eyes of the boy and she frozen.

" Arnav" a small whisper came out of her mouth without her knowledge.

Arnav seemed to be very attentive towards her so he intimidating looked at her and asked her what was the matter. But she seemed to zoomed out from there. So, he shook her by her shoulder.

Khushi came out of her daze and looked at his eyes frowning and then again looked at the picture.

"What?"Arnav asked her seeing her confused eyes.

Khushi noticed the small name tag at the bottom of the picture. And it was written

Arnav Singh Raizada..

And in a rack next to the picture, there were kept some prizes won by the boy of the picture.

Seeing her lost somewhere else Arnav looked at the same direction of her vision to know the reason.

He looked at the picture and the prizes there and then looked at her again. And he knew a lot of questions were coming in his way. To save himself from those unwanted questions he left her side and went in front of the office desk and stood there silently.

Khushi's mind wondered. He won all these prizes in the past and now he didn't even have any interest in studies. What might have happened with him? One thing She knew that whatever had happened in the past she would know that and would try her best to pull out her partner from this darkness.

She looked back at Arnav and stood beside him in silence without asking any questions.

Her silence wondered Arnav. He thought she would ask him a lot of questions but she didn't do that. Why so?

He looked at her eyes and her eyes gave him a warm feeling that she is beside him. She understand him and his pain. And her this understanding gave him new hope..

"Thank you !" Without his knowledge these two words left his mouth.

Khushi got hold of his palm and pressed it as if assuring him that she is there beside him now and will be always.

There little moments got disturbed by the sound of the door. They looked up and saw their principal Anvesha Singh Rajput looking at their entwined hands sternly.

Seeing her Arnav immediately leaved Khushi's hand. Anvesha Singh Rajput came inside and took her sit then looked at them for a few seconds.

" So, Arnav and Khushi.. From where you two got the guts to argue with your teacher? Do you know what you did? For your misbehaviour your teacher has refused to take any classes. He has demanded an apology from you two. Now tell me what should I do with you two? ." Anvesha ji asked them directly without beating around the bush.

" But ma'am, Arnav didn't do anything. It's me who went to him to make him realize his mistake. But he didn't acknowledge his mistake and shouted back." Khushi replied.

"But you teacher said something else Miss. Gupta." Anvesha ji informed.

"I can prove you that we are not wrong. You can come with us to our calssroom and can asked anyone. They will tell you what our Math teacher did..." Khushi was cut by Anvesha ji.

" I'm not talking about your Math teacher Miss Gupta. He didn't complain me anything about you. Here I'm talking about your physics teacher,
Mr. Sanjay Jha. But seems like you two have already mess with my hole school. Now tell me what happened that day?" Anvesha asked strictly.

" What RAAKSHAS? " Khushi asked little loudly.

Arnav closed his eyes in disbelief. This girl seemed to be digging graves not only for herself but also for him.

" What did you say? I didn't get you.." Anvesha asked Khushi.

" Nothing ma'am. In that matter he was at fault not us. That day actually.." Khushi was interrupted by the sound of the door nock.

" Come in." Anvesha ji said.

There came the main reason behind their today's new adventure.

[ Hahaha.. obviously with Khushi everyday is adventure for Arnav. ;p]

Sanjay Jah gave them an evil smirk.

" So, ma'am I'm getting my apology right?" Sanjay asked without any delay.

" That will decide later Mr. Sanjay. First let me hear there side." Anvesha replied him making him disappointed.

" But ma'am. What's there to decide? They misbehaved with me and they have to give me a proper apology otherwise I won't take any classes." Sanjay tried to threaten her. But Anvesha ji was very clear in her determination. She knew how to tackle such situations.

" It's up to you if you wants to take any farther classes or not. But i know how to do my duties. So.. don't intercept me in my work. And yeah. It's also up to me if I want to have a teacher in my school who doesn't want to take any classes. So, you better keep quiet." Anvesha shut him up with her warning.

Arnav and Khushi shared a glance as if conveying their thought that RAAKSHAS's plan Backfired and now it was in their hands to prove this man wrong.

" Now you two tell me your side" Anvesha ji asked.

" Ma'am, it happened on the first day I joined this school. It started with a silly argument. I was setting beside Arnav and sir was furious to see me sitting beside a boy. But i didn't get it.. what's the problem in this? That was my first day and I was trying to communicate with my new classmates. I found that bench comfortable and sat there. Later I came to know that Arnav sat there regularly and also found him interesting. He was also not okay with me sitting there but I sat there arguing with him. And when Sanjay sir came to our class he started shouting at me. Tell me ma'am.. Did I do anything wrong?" Khushi told her side of story. Although she got a glare from Arnav for finding him interesting on the first day. ;)

" No.. You didn't do anything wrong. Mr. Sanjay can you please tell me what is your problem if a girl sat beside a boy?" Anvesha ma'am asked.

" Ma'am.. Actually... It never happened. Our boys and girls have always maintained distance. But this girl is invoking them. If you don't believe me then come with me and see with your own eyes. All have forgotten their manners and started sitting whenever they wanted. And all..." Sanjay was cut off by Anvesha ji.

"What i asked you and what you are saying? " Anvesha asked him annoyed.

" Ma'am.. Actually.. the thing is.." Sanjay stammered

"Mr. Sanjay hear me clearly. It wasn't our school rule to sit separately. My Students have their full right to sit whenever they want. Do you get it? " Anvesha asked..

" But ma'am. It never happened." Sanjay again tried to change Anvesha's decision.

"Just because it has never happened does not mean that it will never happen in the future. I don't want you advice. I know how to make my decision." Anvesha ji declared.

Hearing all this Khushi did a happy dance in her mind. But she had some other plans for this Rakshas.

" Ma'am. Not only this he was behaving very badly with all the students. I have just attend his one class and from where I have seen it's more like bullying all the students." Khushi added some more spicy news.

" You.. How dear you?" Sanjay shouted.

" Ma'am see.. how he is behaving in front of you. You can ask anyone from our school. He always bullies weak students in every class. " Khushi informed

" Ma'am she is lying. Did you ever get any complaints against me? No na ? This girl is trying to save herself saying all this bulshit." Sanjay tried to save himself.

" You don't have to worry. I'll investigate the matter. Now you can leave from here." Anvesha said.

" But ma'am. She is telling lies." Sanjay wasn't ready to leave this place like that.

" I said I'll look into the matter. Now Go." Anvesha ji ordered.

Sanjay went from there but before that he gave a warning look at Khushi.

" So.. I will look into this matter. But tell me one thing Khushi." Anvesha ji asked with a calm tone.

" Yes ma'am."

" How did you find this silent boy interesting? He was standing there from so long without uttering a single word" Anvesha ji asked hinding her smile.

Arnav gulped heard. He couldn't believe what just happened. RAAKSHAS's plan Backfired and now their principal mam is behaving so coolly. What was happening here?

" He takes some time to open up. Don't worry you will find a lot of changes in the upcoming days." Khushi happily informed without caring about Arnav's waring graze.

" Hmm. Will wait to see your magic." Anvesha said with a warm smile.

" But ma'am. I think you should ask Arnav about our math teacher. He might know something else. I'm new here. I don't know much about all this." Khushi informed her.

" So, Arnav. Can you inform me something else about mr. Sanjay." Anvesha ji asked.

"Mmmm... mmm. Ac...tu..ally." Arnav was unsured whether he should tell her or not.

" You can tell me anything dear." Anvesha ji said seeing his hesitation.

Arnav got some courage thinking that RAAKSHAS couldn't do anything to him. Anyway he would went away from this place soon. If he could do something to alleviate everyone's troubles then he should tell whatever he knew about him.

"Ma'am. Sanjay sir joined our school four years back. He was always strict to the students. He never asked anything from the good students. He is always behind weak students. He loves to bully weak students. And one thing he always do is spearing best friends. He hates friendship and any kind of bond between the students. His agenda is to see everyone without any support. Till now he has broken many beautiful bonds. Even in his class he didn't teach us anything. He knows one this. And that is to give us homework without any classwork and then bully us." Arnav informed her.

Not only Anvesha ji but also Khushi was shocked to know all this.

Anvesha ji was lost in her thought hearing all this. Her happy mode changed after knowing all this from Arnav.

" Ma'am!" Khushi slowly said to bring her back from her thought.

" Hmm. I will see what can I do. You guys can go now." Anvesha ji said

Khushi and Arnav got out of the office room thinking about Anvesha. Why she sounded absentminded?

" So.. You found me interesting on your first day?" That was an statement rather than a question.

"Actually.. yes.." Khushi giggled

" I want to discuss something else with you." Arnav sounded nervous.

" Ek minute. Main kuch bhul gayi. ( one minute. I forgot something.)" Khushi said remembering her earlier decision.

" Now what have you forgotten?" Arnav asked her. But she didn't replied to his questions and went inside the office room again.

Arnav stood there for five minutes and she came back.

" Why you went there again?" Arnav inquired.

" I have to tell something else to ma'am. You leave it tell me what you want to discuss?" Khushi tried to change the topic.

" Actually ....I... was... thinking.." Arnav began nervously.

" Yes... You...was... thinking.." Khushi mimicked him.

" I was thinking you should stay away from me for sometime." Arnav blurted out.

"What??" Khushi shouted.

" Khushi.. think wisely. Whatever happened today is not good for you. You have behaved wrongly with our math teacher and now RAAKSHAS will be behind you also. Everything is happening because you are with me. If you stay away from me then everything will be normal and easy for you." Arnav tried to make her understand.

"No. I'm not going to listen to your crap." Khushi replied angrily.

" Khushi this is for your own good and you have to stay here between them, you can't just ignore all these." Arnav said.

" what do you mean by saying i have to stay here? Then what about you? Haan.. bolo? ( tell me?)" Khushi asked.

"I don't know. I just know you should stay away from me. And my decision is final." Arnav declared.

" Okay. Fine. Do whatever you want to do. " Khushi stomped out from there angrily.

" I know Khushi I'm behaving like a jerk but this is for your good future. If you stay beside me you can't concentrate on your future. Everyone will not let you stay happy it you choose a person like me. This is for you own good. I wanted to be your friend and wanted to enjoy my little time with you but for my selfish reasons I can't ruined your bright future." Arnav said to himself.

But he didn't notice the shadow behind the pillar.
