I was still sitting by the river, still thinking about my life before.

"H-Hey," Armin called, I looked back and saw him slowly approaching.

"Hi Armin," I said as he sat down beside me, it has been hours already and the sun was setting, how long was I been thinking about my life before?

"I noticed you weren't around, so I went to look," Armin said.

"Oh, I was just... Clearing my mind," I muttered, looking back to the river.

"Did you have another dream again?" Armin asked and I looked at him with wide eyes.

"Dream?" I asked.

"You used to talk about another world, there was no titans there and with the most amazing machines," he said.

"So it was only a dream," I mumbled as I looked back to the river sadly.

"You always say that you feel like it's so real, I just hope it was," Armin said as he also looked at the river.

"It really does feel real," I said, "And I miss it already," I muttered under my breath when I thought of my life in the modern world.

"Hey, what's that?" Armin said as he pointed to a floating black something, slowly, it flowed near to the edge and I got it.

"It's a book," I said, when I opened it, it was full of blank pages, "A notebook."

"It still looks fine," Armin said as he looked at it too.

I can use this, I'll write what ever happened and those who died, and... Maybe... I might save them... But I still fear what's the cost of saving it... Maybe Marco, or, or something... But, maybe the strings will get messed up and will have a plot twist... I should think of this carefully.

"I'm going to keep it," I said as I closed the book, and looked at him, "Let's go back?" I smiled.

"Uh, y-yeah," Armin stammered, blushing a bit, we both stood up and headed back.

A few days later, the refugees were all sent to cultivate land and to secure food. But that couldn't prevent the food shortage. In the following year of 846, the Central Government launched a campaign to retake Wall Maria using thee refugees. There were 250 thousand of them, including Armin's grandfather.

Only about a hundred of them survived. With their sacrifice, the food shortage has improvised, albeit a little, for those who survived.

It happened, I could have stopped Armin's grandfather for going, but I just couldn't.

Right now, Armin is holding his grandfather's straw hat that was given to him before he leaved. Armin held it close then cried a bit, I sat beside him and just place my hand in his shoulder, maybe comforting him a bit.

My sister? She went to work at a bakery. That would be better for her. I know this part will be when they will tell each other that they will all join the military, of course I'll join, and I'll save who I choose to save.

And for the fact I really wanted to fly with the ODM gear. (^v^)

"The Titans are to blame," Eren said, breaking the silence, "If only we could defeat them, we would regain our place in this world."

Eren sat beside Armin, "Armin, I'm applying for military training next year."

"I'll become strong enough to fight them," Eren said.

Armin looked at him and back to the hat, "Me too."

"Armin?!" Eren astonished.

"Me too!" Armin said a little louder.

"I'll join you too," Mikasa said.

"Mikasa? You don't have to!" Eren said, "You said survival is the most important thing."

"Yes, and I will be there ensuring your safety," Mikasa said.

"I will join too," I said.

"(Y/N)?!" Eren said as he looked at me.

"I will join too!" I said, And I'll save them, all of them before they die.

Eren then stood up, "All right, we'll all join."

"You are now officially members of the training unit no. 104!" Keith Shardis shouted, "Unfortunately for you, I, Keith Shardis, will be in charge. I'm not here to give you a warm welcome. All of you are now merely livestock, waiting to be eaten by Titans. You're even worse than livestock! For the next three years, I'll train you useless shits. I'll teach you how to fight the Titans! When you face a Titan in three years, will you still be food? Or will you become a glorious wall to protect these walls? Or a mighty champion of mankind who will destroy the Titans? Yeah, don't worry, Eren thought, I'll kill every last one of them.
