Live and Let Love - Part 2
"Wha-?" Amelia was surprised by the comical display of shock and embarrassment that the usually serious general had, "Of course, not!"
"You sure about that?" Amelia smirked.
"I...somewhat," CJ growled.
Amelia lifted a brow and making her smirk more prominent, "What do you mean, 'somewhat'? I dunno about your sexuality and that's a touchy warzone altogether. Hetalians are usually okay with the homo around this fandom because it's pretty much everywhere. But whereas there are serious American Hetalians, there are homophobic ones, too," her smile became more worried, but caring, "Did this war make you feel uncomfortable?"
CJ's frown then pressed into a hard line. Her irritated and uncomfortable expression did not ease, "...Perhaps," she murmured, "My sister nearly died and we technically activated a war without realizing we were the cause."
"Hm," Amelia nodded, encouraging her to go on.
"We all had our problems, to be honest," CJ murmured, "I really shouldn't be moving around with how much energy I've been loaning."
"What do you mean?" Amelia's smirk started slipping.
"Nothing for you to worry about, hopefully," CJ sighed, shaking her head.
"Does it have anything to do with the war?" Amelia tilted her head.
"Something like that," CJ shrugged, "But I'm alive, now. Everyone is."
"Now?" Amelia let out a small spit of laughter, "You make it sound like everyone died."
"No, of course, not," she muttered.
"But by your means of my sexuality and if I'm homophobic or not...it doesn't matter," CJ hung her head in defeat, finally slumping down onto the railing. Amelia felt her body jerk to help up her friend, but for some reason was frozen in place. A sad and regretful smile sink into CJ's profile, "I don't know who I am anymore," it escalated to her sliding off the rail and sinking to the cold stone of the balcony.
Amelia outwardly panicked when she saw her do this. She quickly wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled CJ's arm around her shoulder, helping her up, "Whoa, whoa, are you feeling alright? Dang, you're cold...! Let's get you inside..."

"Amelia? What happened to...what's her name?" America saw Amelia haul her fellow, unconscious, American general into a seat, "Everyone had been calling her 'Midwest' and wondering why I had two generals attend and all that jazz."
"Well, she is General Midwest USA," Amelia huffed exhaustedly. Her body had a fun time trying to properly distribute her protein and minerals without her legs.
"That right?" America smiled, tucking a stray, black strand behind her ear, fondly like a father to his daughter, "She looks tired. It's like her years are starting to catch up with her-"
Amelia saw his words catch in his throat. His eyes dilate, eyelids pulled back, brows shot up and creased, "...America?" she questioned carefully, feeling dread seep into her soul.
Everyone saw him lunge at CJ, pulling her body up, shaking her, demanding for her to wake up. She didn't. Amelia had started to pry her from America's iron grip, but of course, that was a futile attempt. Words flew past his ears. He never heard them.
Amelia went mentally crazy; screaming that she was just tired and sleepy. She was a young teenager for goodness' sake and didn't really sleep much, to begin with. Give her time to sleep. She's sleepy. You've seen her overwork, she's just sleeping...! It wasn't long before Amelia felt iron grips wrench her and America away from the ever paling body. Becoming so cold.
Amelia is met with Anya's shoulder and America's met with Russia's since the two Russians were the only ones able to pry them off the poor girl. The poor body. It took everyone a minute or two to figure out what the heck had happened. Many turned away while others broke down. Some in disbelief at what happened. Amelia, Anya, Tori, and even Alice, Sakura, and Emily had tears in their eyes. Having known who she was. Amelia knowning what she wanted.
Although the Hetalian War is over...
...one of the casualties had finally caught up.
