Chapter 3

Sorry for the mistakes!

Nicole brushed her white hair slowly. She was getting ready to go out in search for the chosen that is. Once she had finished she placed her hair in a neat ponytail keeping it simple.

She wore a simple light blue fitted jacket that exaggerated her curves. She topped it of with white leggings and brown winter boots. She was beautiful no doubt about that her white hair in a ponytail her bright blue eyes held wonder and curiosity.

"My lady are you ready?" Avon asked from outside the door. He too was dressed up in lose fitting black trousers, a dark blue top which was partially covered by his black blazer. His face was sculpted to perfect. His black hair neatly combed back. He looked elegant.

"I'm ready Avon but do you really think he will be there?" The familar laughed.

"My lady your brother will in fact be there but the chosen might be aswell" the snow queen stiffened. She feared this moment would come. When she would have to face her sibling. Naahil.....

"We must leave. It's about to begin"

Paige stood calmly watching the mortals enter the ball room. Davinis' a family favorite. The Victorian styled building made it stand out against the more modern architecture.

Paige remembered they first time she came here. Her parents told her she would love it. It was where they first met. Home away form home. Davinis' was a place fore immortals alike to come together and have a ball.

It was still open for mortals but they would have to pay a hefty fee. She remembered how her brother would trick mortals in giving up there souls. She had always envied the growing amount of familars he had.

Lawrence on the other hand was busy mingling with the guests. Paige had known this was something he would do. Another half blood...she thought. Lawrence always had a tendency to not be able to keep his things in his pants which often got him into trouble.

With a sigh Paige watched as Joseph entered the building along with a mortal woman. She felt her blood run cold. She had this feeling in the pit of her stomach. Why do I feel like his? He's a mortal she dismissed the thought instantly. She wasn't here to make love but she was intrigued by this mortal.

She made it her mission to find out more about this...girl. After a few minutes more people started to pile in. She recognized most of them as Gods who were on vacation. They were off the job. Once a year ago specific set of God's received a three month beak. Where they could move freely without having to worry about there duties.

She continued to study the crowd until her eyes landed on a specific individual. Naahil son of time? What is he doing here? She had seen his sister enter and was dreading the moment they would meet. She had to stop this but she must act quickly.

"Must you act so barbaric?" Naahil asked his partner Trevor. The minotaur shrugged and continued to devour his food. A beast some might call him they weren't wrong but that was a little far stretched.

He was in fact a monster but not entirely. Pass his hard exterior, his bulging muscle, his stone had expression was a compassionate being who just wanted to be loved. There was no half human half bull non sense. He had a thick frame, muscles that would make a God jealous. His silky black hair, deep brown eyes his face was sculpted to perfection. He was no hideous beast no he was much worst.

"It's in my mature friend. There's nothing I can do about it" Trevor stated once he had finished his meal. People may have been looking at him with disgusted faces but that didn't matter. At least they weren't screaming in terror he thought.

"I am now rethinking bring you with me. Taurus would have done so much better" Trevor growled lowly. Taurus the serpent cursed by the God of War himself. Now forced to live a life of misery.

"That snake! I am insulted Naahil tell me though. Why did you come here. I thought you hated being in the presence of mortals. You thought of them as a waste of time and resources" Naahil laughed.

"I still do but that is not why. My sister has decided to visit. I just couldn't let her leave without saying goodbye" the minotaur shook his head slowly. He knew what had happened last time the two had met. It seems that Naahil had forgotten all about it.

"If you must so be it. Now if you excuse I have a bone to pick with Quinn" Trevor rose form his seat. His form towering over most. He then proceeded to look for the jester who was in a deep conversation with Paige.

"Your such a gentleman Quinn. But really I can't" Paige laughed softly. The jester frowned.

"Such a shame. I was thinking we could rock the place a bit" the princess felt her cheeks grow warm. Quinn was a jester. A being created only for amusement. He was immortal and could be summoned whenever need..

"No thank you-oh dear! Trevor I didn't see you there" Paige said smiling once she acknowledged the minotaur. They were old friends and once lovers. But that is expected when you've lived over three thousand years.

"Your majesty. I didn't mean to startle you. I only ask if I could borrow Quinn for a moment?" The jester gulped taking a step back. Known as the man of mystery he stood up to his name. No one knew why he had multicolored hair or why we would appear out of no where to spread cheer. All they did know is that he was a trickster. Even out smarting the God of deception himself.

"Trey my old friend. Don't tell me your still upset over our little mishap. Forgiveness is a wonderfully thing you know" Trevor growled gripping Quinn by the throat.

"Listen here jester. The only forgiveness you will get is when your sleeping with the nightmares. Got it" the jester nodded his head vigorously.

"Of course. Crystal clear. Yes sir" with one last growl Trevor dropped him then turned to the princess who held a bored expression. She was used to Quinn getting in trouble for his antics.

"Your majesty" he bowed. The princess nodded and watched him disappear into the crowd. Paige shook her head slowly now looking at the jester.

"Try not to get into trouble Quinn. Trevor isn't someone to mess with" the jester nodded grimly.

"This is what happens when someone doesn't get the joke" rolling her eyes the princess bid farewell to her friend. She was now looking for the chosen not knowing that she already knew him.
