Chapter 13

Sorry for the mistakes!

"So your him" Nicole whispered to the mortal sitting down beside him. Joseph nodded snuggling further into his sweater. It felt....cold? But is summer...

"Yeah that's me" the half blood mumbled staring into the forest before them. He was curious to know what went on in those woods. What was so special about this place.

"Mystic Grove. A place where us immortals go to hunt, for fun that is" the snow queen paused her attention shifting towards the forest. Something isn't right.

"Do you think she cares?" He asked quietly keeping his eyes glued to the ground. All he wanted was to be alone just for a while, I guess Nicole didn't want that. The Goddess nodded staring at him curiously. Why would he ask that?

"Who Paige? Of course she does even a blind man could see that. I see the way she cared for you when you were injured. She passed your pain unto herself. Even if she doesn't show it she may be falling for you" Joseph felt his lips tug upwards.

"To be honest I think I'm falling for her too. But after this she won't remember me" he said rising form his position. He adjusted his jacket feeling a bit cold. The snow queen is right beside you idiot! his mind yelled at him. The mortal rolled his eyes. I don't see a problem.

"Don't say that. Anything can happen so be positive. Come on let's get back I think there don't training now" with a small nod form Joseph the pair set of in search of there friends who were probably fighting each other.

"We're home!" Damian's high pick singing filled the empty corridor. The checked floor paired with the blood red walls made the place looks more regal. Oil paintings of previous kings lined the walls each encased in a glass covering. The ceiling held a grand chandelier that sat in the very Centre of the room. The place covered in weapons that hung loosely on the walls.

"Wow" was a Claire could say as her feet glided across the tiled floors. She felt like a princess here. She was finally free from that awful place.

"Indeed it is. My nephew is out doing what he does so your not needed now. You are free to roam the palace anywhere you like. Your going to be here for a while at least get to know the place. Be off then. Your not needed"

Paige sat down on a tree branch listening to the birds sing. They sound so peaceful she thought leaning on the rugged tree bark. I've been neglecting me duties, she knew she had been but she was busy with other things.

"I'm sorry, I should have come sooner. But I'm just busy" Paige confessed to the young woman beneath her. One that was frozen in place. Held together by wooden casts.

"I just don't know what to do. Trevor and I got into an argument again. It's the same reason why we broke up. He thinks us Gods are all powerful and can do what were want but we can't. We abide by rules and as long as we don't break them were fine" she paused glancing down at the ground. Everything seemed fine.

"If we attack the royal court when this is over we can be sent into exile. Doesn't he know that God's aren't some all powerful tyrants that can do what ever they want. We have three rules a code you could call it. And when we break that code we are punished" Paige stopped. There's no use telling her she can't do anything about it.

I don't know what to do......I mean all these people are following me thinking because of my rank I know everything. It took time I didn't just go and become the mistress it happened over time. But we don't have time...Paige thought to herself extending her body.

Her hair neatly placed into twin braids with flowers incorporated. Her bangs pushed back to the side framing her face. She wore a white gown that laced in the back. Her legs were wrapped with tree roots that spread further until it reached her waist forming a belt. No matter how she felt she still looked like royalty.

"Paige! Paige!" Joseph called out pausing to scan the area. Nicole stood silently trying to pick up the slightest bit of movement. Nothing.

"She's not here, I would have sensed her by now. Let's get back to camp she has her own life and you have yours. Now come on I want to see this sister of yours" as soon as the were gone Paige let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.

She wasn't going back there....not tonight.

"Trans Chaos temple" she leaned back allowing the warmth to consume her. Closing her eyes she sighed thinking about what she was going to do once she reached the temple.

She felt space around her contract almost suffocating her then nothing. Her eyes fluttered open as she scanned her surrounds. She was back in her studies at the castle.

She couldn't help but smile. The saffire, blue curtains really added color to the other wise dull room. Everything was white, the desks and chairs along with a few potions all white. The wall were stained a cream colored with blue accents that went along with the curtains making it look more professional.

"Temple" as the words left her lips everything around her started spinning uncontrollably. Until it just stopped. She was now in her temple. Her own secret place.

Everyone thinks the royal family were one of those who weren't blessed with a temple. The truth is there's aren't reveled unless that member of the family has fallen.

"Paige! You may be the all powerful mother nature but I will slap you silly if you try that again" Amber, the pixe of her temple warned her brown hair bouncing widly.

The mythical creature floated above the princess her expression unreadable. She was so small you could crush her by just squeezing too hard. Her short hair pinned in the back with a small piece of string, now tied into a low ponytail.

"I'm sorry Amber, but I need your help. The rebels are counting on me and I don't know how to help them. I can't fight, I can't use magic well stable magic. They think I can just flick my wrist and this is all over but it's not so easy. My powers are tied to my emotions and my you know.." the princess stopped to look at her pixie waiting for a response.

"Your still powerful dummy. Your just not...in the right situation. Now get up, I'm going to help you plan a attack"

"I can't believe her!" Trevor roared pacing back and forth angrily. Nicole just sat there patiently waiting until the princess returned so they could make there move.

Paige was on personal business all Gods have there own lives to live but she knew we were meeting, why did she leave? Nicole asked herself adjusting her position.

They were all there waiting patiently for there member of the royal court to show. Gods are kept in check by a specific set of rules that apply to your rank. Minor God have far more rules that major because of there rank. The resistance is made up of both major and minor the rules state that they must have someone in the royal family to plead there case or if any of them is found plotting against the current ruler they will be persecuted.

Lauren impatiently tapped her feet against the pavement. She had been waiting for hours on her princess one who she knew was in trustworthy.

There were eighteen people in the room all of them in there own little world. Each on the own side of the cream colored room. There was no furniture other than the small table that sat in the middle of the room.

"Well I can" the room went silent as everyone directed there attention to the princess that was now standing at the far end of the room. With her eyes fixed on he minotaur she took a step forward daring anyone to stop her.

"If you don't like the way I rule this place, leave. I don't have to be here. Being second in line to the throne only if I give up my birthrite will I ever be subjected to the punishment you will endure if you are caught. So tell me Trevor what can't you believe?" Amber pushed herself through the tension flying over to the small table in the middle of the room.

Paige continued her face holding an amused expression. What will the beast say next she wondered waiting for a response.

"I....I'm sorry your majesty" Trevor apologized realizing his mistake. Paige nodded but then stopped to think. Why is this side of me just showing? Where were you when I was losing to a Mystic? Her thoughts were cut short by Amber her pixie.

"None of you are in any postion to do anything. Now listen up. I am Amber, a pixie guardian and all I'm going to say is. By the time I'm done with you Chaos himself will fear your name"
