Didn't expect a fast update, eh?

Just a reminder to for the viewing experience. The Allied NPC Rangers throughout the second game will be all anthros. In other words, furries

It'll be just like in the LDA mini series :)

_________________

The screen begins with the ranger logo appearing alongside Jaye's insignia. When it was put to the top left corner, the satellite begins to track of Jaye's position in Ibut.

It tracked the phoenix base for a moment before moving to a visible convoy on their way to the location called "The Red Zone". Tracking on the zoomed out vehicles, the camera then switches to a transparent view of the convoy that was filled with a variety of Yanese military vehicles.

When they were scanned, the names were revealed to the audience:
- ZBD-04 (Armored Combat Vehicle)
- AVLB (Armored Vehicle Launched Bridge)
- Dongfeng EQ2050 (Armament Carrier)

"We are the most powerful military force in the history of man." Wei's voice declared in the cutscene.

"Consider on what happened during their Invasion against Drudge and his forces, I agree." Hellagur said.

"It really took them that short of a time to destroy the OpFors." Ch'en remarked.

"Now they're gonna do it again." Bagpipe said.

"Depends on the what the OpFors are now." Folinic replied.

"Every fight is our fight. Because what happens over here, matters over there. We don't get to sit one out."

The camera then tracks the lone Dongfeng at the front of the convoy which is armored up with winch and has an M134 minigun attached at the roof as a turret.

"Learning to use the tools of modern warfare is the difference between the prospering of your people, and utter destruction." Wei continued before the camera zooms out of the convoy before focusing on another vehicle which is the M104 Wolverine 'Heavy Assault Bridge'.

"We can't give you freedom. But we can give you the know how to acquire it. And that, my friends, is worth more than a whole army base of steel." Wei said as the vehicle then demonstrated its ability by laying down the bridge from a large ditch followed by a CM-12 tank crossing it.

"Sure it matters who's got the bigger stick, but it matters a helluva lot more who's swinging it." Wei remarked as the camera then switches to a wall of guns and starts to inspect them.

The first gun was the familiar T91 assault rifle that has a grenade launcher and a holographic sight. Then it switches to another gun that the audience wasn't too familiar of. It is the QBZ-95 bullpup assault rifle that has a shotgun attachment under the barrel and an ACOG sight.

"That's a cool looking firearm." Vulcan noted at the QBZ-95. She was pondering on why the magazine and the trigger switched places.

"Do they have those in Laterano?" Steward asked to Adnachiel.

"I don't remember, but I think they're a little rare." the sankta said.

"This is the time for heroes. A time for legends." Wei said as the camera changes to the convoy again accompanied with the picture of the general himself and an audio log under it.

"History is written by the victors. Let's get to work." Wei finished his speech before the screen goes black.

"Okay, I have to admit, that was pretty badass," Ch'en said.

"It really stirs up that patriotic spirit," Bagpipe agreed. Even though it wasn't Victoria, she could feel the Yanese national pride from Wei's speech.

"I'm already liking this alternate Wei Yenwu," Hellagur remarked.

"He looked a bit sketchy at first, but he seems like the kind of man who gets things done," Dobermann added.

"If Yan truly is the strongest, no one would challenge them," Dur-Nar said.

"Well, there's Ursus, and they have the largest nuclear arsenal in this alternate world," Amiya pointed out.

"Ursus seems like the only country that could go toe-to-toe with Yan's military," the Doctor commented.

"Yeah, but a war between them would be dangerous for the world," Folinic said. "Not like Ursus have any reason to invade Yan."

"They probably would as revenge when they supported the loyalists." Bagpipe thoughted.

"Then again, it'd be tough for them to invade Yan in the first place," Ch'en added

"By the way, did anyone notice that new CM-12 tank?" Dylan pointed out.

"Yeah, it looks a bit smaller than the Type 99," Yato observed.

"Maybe it's one of their older models." Rangers thoughted.

"If it is, why use it instead of the 99?" Noir Corne wondered.

"Doesn't matter if it's old or new, it's still a tank that can deal serious damage," Greythroat stated.

The screen then fades in to Jaye's position. He was on a jeep riding in the passenger seat, heading its way to the combat zone through some trees.

Jaye glanced to his left, spotting his comrade driving the jeep. He then looked in the other direction, just in time to see a CM-12 tank firing a round at the enemy's position.

"RPG!!" the driver shouted, as Jaye saw a rocket heading straight for the jeep. He tried to jump clear, but the rocket struck the front of the vehicle, blowing him off and sending him crashing to the ground.

"That's one way to start the scene." Hung remarked.

"I'm glad you got out just in time." Waai Fu said to Jaye, which he nodded in agreement.

"Man, it would suck if you died early in the movie." Aak commented.

Jaye was now adjusting himself from the shell-shock. Through his blurred vision and ringing ears, the audience sees the battlefield going on.

Rangers were firing at the unseen hostiles along with the M104 wolverine seen on the bridge, trying to lay down its own bridge.

But what surprised the audience is that Wei Yenwu was also there, standing infront of Jaye and in the middle of the battlefield with his revolver in hand.

"What is Wei Yenwu doing there?" Dobermann asked, surprised. "He shouldn't even be in the field!"

"Why's that?" Beagle asked.

"Because he's a high-ranking general of the military in this universe." Dur-Nar explained. "He shouldn't be standing on the frontlines. The enemy could easily recognize him by his uniform."

"I've got to admit, he sticks out like a sore thumb," Orchid said. "I'm surprised he hasn't been shot yet."

"Maybe the OpFors are too dumb to notice." Cardigan added.

"Well, he sure has the guts to be out there, even as a general," Spot remarked.

"Still, he should've worn something like what the Rangers use. It'd help him blend in with the rest of the soldiers," Ch'en said.

"Better safe than sorry," Amiya agreed with a nod.

Reloading his revolver, Wei Yenwu turned and spotted Jaye lying on the ground. "Get up, Private Jaye!" he shouted at the Ursi, grabbing him by the vest and pulling him to his feet. "Rangers lead the way! Move!"

With a firm push, Wei sent Jaye forward, the momentum forcing him into a run. Regaining his footing, Jaye quickly drew his weapon—a T91 rifle equipped with a holographic sight and grenade launcher—and joined the fray.

"That was a little rude." Waai Fu remarked with a slight frown.

"But it's understandable," Hung replied. "You'd do the same if you saw one of your soldiers not engaging the enemy."

"He could've been injured during the blast." Folinic pointed out.

"Well, that just means Jaye here is one tough SOB." Aak chimed in, elbowing the Ursus next to him.

"Stop doing that," Jaye said bluntly.

Scanning the battlefield, Jaye saw Yanese Rangers and Ibutan militias exchanging fire with OpFor soldiers positioned across the river. He quickly joined a group of soldiers taking cover behind a wrecked truck.

Lining up his sights, Jaye fired several rounds, dropping one of the enemy soldiers while the others scrambled for cover. Moments later, a rocket streaked toward the Rangers but exploded harmlessly on the ground.

Hung's voice crackled over the radio, "Hunter 2! Keep the pressure on those RPG teams! If that bridgelayer gets hit, we're swimming, hooah?"

As Jaye reloaded his rifle, two Changhe Z-10 helicopters roared overhead, unleashing a barrage of fire on the OpFor positions. The onslaught must've spooked them, but the OpFors continued on fighting.

"Man, the Rangers are giving it everything they've got against the OpFors," Cardigan said in awe, watching the action.

"And yet, the OpFors are still fighting with whatever they can muster," Steward remarked.

"They barely survived against the marines in Bayalir. I doubt they'll hold out against the Rangers," Catapult added.

"That is, unless the Ibutans join their cause as well, which seems to be the case," Spot said.

As Jaye finished reloading his rifle, he glanced at an INA (Ibutan National Army) soldier beside him. The soldier suddenly stood up, recklessly raising his weapon above his head and firing blindly at the OpFor. Unsurprisingly, his shots hit nothing.

A Ranger that was next to him noticed what he is doing. She quickly grabbed his shoulder and yanked him back down behind cover. She briefly scolds him to aim his gun properly before going back to the fight.

"I can see why Hung made that point. He didn't hit a damn thing," Noir Corne remarked.

"He must've skipped training," Dylan added with a chuckle.

"If the Ibutan militiamen are like this, the Rangers are in for a rough time," Scavenger said, shaking her head in disappointment.

"Cut him some slack, Scavenger," Provence chimed in. "It's just one guy. The whole Ibutan army can't be like him."

Jaye continued firing his rifle at the OpFors. Hung then tells him, "Jaye! Switch to the M203! Drop some rounds on 'em across the river!"

Jaye obliged as he equipped the rifle to the M203 attachment. He then spots a lone ZBD-04 that was exchanging fire at the OpFors. Knowing that it makes good cover, Jaye sprinted towards the vehicle, evading any stray gunfire from the other side.

Reaching the IFV, Jaye aimed his rifle high and launched a grenade at the enemy positions across the river, the explosion taking out two fighters. Just as he was about to reload, he saw one of his fellow Rangers drop to the ground, a bullet to the head.

"We got a man down!" a Ranger shouted.

Jaye quickly scanned the area, pinpointing the shooter's location. Without hesitation, he fired another grenade, taking out the enemy and avenging his fallen comrade.

"Good on ya for avenging him." Waai Fu remarked to Jaye.

"I didn't even do anything." Jaye said.

"It's your alternate self, still counts." She smiled cheekily while Jaye rolled his eyes.

Jaye sees the two Z-10s making another fly by, unleashing their rockets towards the OpFors, yet they kept on fighting as if it was a minor occurence.

While Jaye and the others kept on shooting at the OpFors, a lone Ranger from their team spoke up in the radio, "Warlord. This is Hunter Two-One. Requesting airstrike on grid 252171. Target is a white twelve-story apartment building. Over."

'Warlord' replied, "Hunter Two-One, this is Warlord. Solid copy. Uh, I have uh, Devil One-One, flight of two J-11s online. Standby for relay."

"J-11s, huh? I thought it was supposed to be MIGs." Bagpipe said.

"Maybe MIGs are for Ursine Jets." Ch'en replied.

"It's like the tanks." Doctor stated. "Yan has the Type 99 while Ursus has the T-72."

Devil One-One came over the comms, "Hunter Two-One, this is Devil One-One, flight of two J-11s. Time on station, one-five mikes, holding three Sierra northwest, in holding area Knife. Carrying two JDAMs and two HARMs. Standing by, over."

"Devil One-One, target is a white twelve-story apartment building at grid 252171. I need you to level that building. How copy, over?" the Ranger requested.

"Solid copy, Hunter Two-One. Rolling in now. Target acquired," Devil One-One confirmed.

As the conversation ended, Jaye turned his attention to the bridge and spotted more OpFor fighters attempting to target the M104 bridgelayer in an effort to halt its progress. Few of them were carrying RPGs.

"On the bridge, 10 o'clock high! Multiple targets, take 'em out!" Hung ordered.

Waai Fu chimed in, "Up on the bridge, far side!"

Jaye sprinted back to the white truck, shifting his aim toward the bridge. He saw squads of OpFor soldiers engaging the Rangers as a technical truck came into view aswell.

"They're getting desperate," Dur-Nar added.

"Well once the Rangers make it into the town, it's over for them." Dobermann said, observing what the OpFors are doing even if it costs more manpower losses.

Seeing the truck, Jaye switched to his M203 and fired a round at the gunner, killing him. He switched back to rifle mode and take out the RPG wielders at the bridge

Seeing the situation no longer in their favor, the technical driver drove away from the bridge as the rest of the OpFors were also falling back.

"They should just surrender." Catapult said. "If they fall back, they're gonna get clapped again."

"I doubt the OpFors will surrender, even when they're outmatched." Spot replied.

"But... they're all gonna die..." Popukar said quietly.

"We know, dear. We know. They're just stubborn bastards." Midnight added with a sigh.

"They're retreating, keep hitting 'em!" Hung shouted.

Jaye shifted his aim toward the river, spotting several OpFor soldiers falling back, some climbing a set of stairs while others continued firing or providing covering fire for their comrades. Regardless, Jaye and the Rangers pressed the attack, thinning the retreating enemy's numbers.

Jaye glanced back at the bridge just as the M104 Wolverine successfully lowered its bridge, creating a clear path for the Yanese Rangers.

"Hunter 2! Bridge complete, we're Oscar Mike! Move out!" Hung ordered.

"We're moving out!" Waai Fu echoed, rallying everyone as they advanced toward the bridge.

Jaye followed closely behind, sticking with the Rangers and militiamen as they made their way up a set of stairs leading to the bridge.

At the base of the stairs, a masked Ranger stood, urging everyone forward. "Let's go, let's go! Get your ass back in the vehicle."

"We're Oscar Mike, move it!" Hung urged again, making sure no one lagged behind.

"Oscar Mike? What does that mean?" Kroos asked.

"It stands for 'On the move'." Dur-Nar explained. "I've heard it a lot during my time in Columbia."

"Doesn't make any sense why they would call that." Lava said.

"Sounds pretty cool, though." Hibiscus remarked.

Jaye begin to run up the stairs with the others Rangers. As he made it up, he saw met with a bewildered sight of a lone Ibutan soldier sitting calmly at the wall whilst eating a chocolate bar.

"Was he there the whole time eating a chocolate bar?" Greythroat asked.

"I think so. Man must've had priorities." Blaze joked.

"Mount up!" Hung ordered as Jaye turned to his left, spotting a Dongfeng EQ2050 pulling up in front of him. The back door swung open, revealing a Rebbah Ibutan soldier gesturing for Jaye to get in.

Jaye quickly climbed into the vehicle, briefly glancing at a pink Lupo Ranger in the driver's seat before positioning himself behind the M134 minigun turret.

Hung whistled. "What is that gun?" he asked, clearly having never seen it before.

"A minigun," Vulcan answered. "Pretty powerful in this universe."

"Yeah, Amiya took down five helicopters like they were nothing in the first movie," Ethan chimed in.

"There's a reason the Apostolic Knights in Laterano use those," Adnachiel added.

"True, but the ones here in the MW universe are probably even stronger," Vulcan said, recalling when she and Sesa tested the weapons from the Rainbow crew.

Ten seconds!" a Ranger called out.

While manning the turret, Jaye scanned the convoy, noticing some of the Rangers pulling out their phones, waiting for the air support to clear the area.

"Which building is it, sir?" an eager feline Ranger asked.

"It's that tall one at one o'clock," a Perro Ranger next to her responded, pointing toward the building.

"Hey, which building?" another feline Ranger in front of them asked.

"The one at one o'clock! The ta—" The Perro Ranger paused, then turned to a masked Vulpo Ranger. "Hey, Dave, which one is it? Is it the one on the left or the right?"

"The one on the left." Dave confirmed, pointing at the building. The Perro Ranger gave him a nod of thanks before turning back to the feline ranger, suggesting to flip her phone horizontally.

"Hey isn't this danger close for the task force?" The Lupo driver from Jaye's jeep asked.

Waai Fu responded with a shrug. "Come on, since when does Wei care about danger close?"

"What does that mean?" Fang asked, as she and her team turned to Dobermann and Dur-Nar.

"Honestly, I'm not sure," Dur-Nar replied.

"I think it's a term used when friendly forces are close to the target of some kind of fire support," Dobermann said. "At least, that's how I remember it."

"Sounds like an interesting term," Spot noted, even though he wasn't part of the military anymore.

"If that's the case, they should be more careful about it." Amiya said thoughtfully.

"Especially since Waai Fu said Wei does not care about it." Ch'en added.

The Doctor nodded. "Indeed. It could backfire badly if the fire support hits his own men."

Moments later, a Shenyang J-11 swooped in and fired a missile at the tall building, obliterating it. The explosion sent a shockwave rippling toward the convoy, but the Rangers didn't seem to mind. Instead, they erupted in cheers of excitement.

"That's what I'm talking about!" the Perro Ranger shouted.

"Hooah! Get some, baby! Woo!" the feline Ranger next to him yelled, delighted as she captured the moment on her phone.

"Wow, they seem to be enjoying this a lot," Melantha commented.

"That's typical Lateran behavior," Adnachiel replied, recalling how they loved blowing things up in the city.

"I don't blame them, though. I'd probably react the same way if I got to see something as big as that building explode," Cardigan added with a grin.

Adnachiel gave her a slightly alarmed look. "Okay, now you're starting to sound like W."

"Battalion is Oscar Mike!" a Ranger shouted.

"All right, we're Oscar Mike!" Waai Fu echoed as the Lupo driver started up the vehicle, moving along with the rest of the convoy. Waai Fu suddenly pointed ahead. "Oh look, look, look! The building's coming down!"

Jaye glanced at the collapsing structure, watching as debris rained down, crashing into nearby buildings—likely filled with OpFor soldiers regrouping after the battle at the bridge.

"I feel bad for the folks who worked in that building," Blaze said.

"A necessary sacrifice, I guess," Hellagur replied. "The city's in a war after all."

"I reckon the Yanese Rangers oughta be careful not to wreck the Ibutan towns and cities, like what the marines did in Bayalir," Bagpipe added.

"On the other hand, it could be helpful if the OpFors don't have any hideouts left," Greythroat pointed out.

"I just hope the civilians aren't getting dragged into this," Amiya said, frowning slightly. She thought about how the Ibutan civilians had to endure the war between the Rangers and the Bayaliran OpFors, with both sides even recruiting them into the conflict.

After the brief spectacle, the convoy crossed the bridge and moved into the war-torn Ibutan town.

"Hunter two, breaking away," the Lupo driver reported over the radio.

"Copy, Hunter two." Lee responded.

Jaye scanned the town ahead, catching sight of another building collapsing into rubble, sending debris and smoke billowing into the air.

"All Hunter 2 victors, keep an eye out for civvies. We're not cleared to engage unless they fire first," Hung informed the squad.

Amiya's frown deepened. "So there are still civilians in the town..."

"It's alright, Amiya. Hopefully, they won't get in the Rangers' way," the Doctor reassured her.

"I wonder if the OpFors treated the civilians like they did in Bayalir?" Folinic asked, causing a ripple of unease among the operators after what happened in The Coup scene.

"Let's not bring that up," Hellagur advised, his tone uneasy. He didn't want to think about, hear, or even imagine more innocent civilians being killed—especially if they were to be gunned down in cold blood.

Jaye then spotted a squad of Rangers on the sidewalk, carefully sweeping the area for any hostiles.

"Scan the rooftops. Stay frosty." Hung ordered as Jaye surveyed the street, his hands ready on the minigun in case of an ambush. However, the thick smoke from the collapsed building made it difficult to see, though the convoy pressed on.

"You see anything?" the Lupo driver asked.

"Nothing, dude. This place is dead." Waai Fu replied.

"Hooah."

As the convoy navigated the smoky street, Jaye noticed the ZBD-04 IFV breaking off onto another route below.

"Overlord, Hunter 2-1. We're passing tunnel Harvey, cross street Elizabeth." Hung said over the radio.

"Roger that, Hunter 2-1. Proceed with caution." Lee replied.

The Jeeps began moving down a narrower road as Jaye noticed the ZBD-04 entering a tunnel, marked by two familiar OpFor banners.

"Alright, stay frosty, you guys. This is the Wild West." Waai Fu cautioned.

"Roger that." an unseen Ranger replied in the jeep.

The convoy continued along the narrow street in cautios matter, with Jaye and the other gunners keeping a close watch on their surroundings, knowing the confined area could easily conceal an OpFor ambush.

"Watch those alleys." Waai Fu warned.

"Covering." responded the Ibutan soldier in their Jeep.

Jaye's grip tightened on the turret as he scanned the area. He nearly fired when a lone Ibutan civilian suddenly darted out of an alley, sprinting fearfully toward a nearby building.

The operators felt relieved seeing the civilian hide in time, though some were still in shock after alternate Jaye almost turned the turret on him.

"Damn, I almost shot that guy." Jaye muttered.

"Good thing you kept your finger off the trigger." Aak said.

"Yeah," Waai Fu added. "The last thing we'd want is you being known as the guy who shoots at civilians."

As the convoy moved forward, three OpFor soldiers were spotted on the balcony of a building displaying an OpFor banner.

"Three-foot-mobiles, balcony at 12 o'clock. Probable militia." Hunter 2-3 reported.

"Are they armed?" Hung asked.

"Negative, they're just watching us."

The Jeeps continued down the street, while Jaye and the other gunners kept a close eye on the unarmed OpFor soldiers, their turrets trained on them just in case.

The audience got a clearer look at the new OpFor enemies in Ibut. While they retained some of their appearances from the first Modern Warfare—one wearing a red beret, another with cloth wrapped around his face, and the last one headgearless—this time, the trio sported upgraded gear. They were now equipped with military-grade ballistic vests, offering a slight better protection than before.

"They totally resemble the OpFors back in Bayalir against the marines." Noir observed.

"These guys might as well be Bayalirans." Dylan chimed in.

"I doubt it." Yato argued. "They're probably Ibutans recruited by the OpFors."

"Either way, it looks like the OpFors have gotten a bit more organized." Vulcan added, eyeing their new uniform than in Bayalir.

"I guess they're learning from their mistakes in the first movie." Rangers remarked.

"Well, they're still gonna get their butts kicked," Catapult said with a grin.

"I bet they're scouting us," Waai Fu remarked.

"Eh, but that don't mean we can shoot 'em." the Lupo driver pointed out.

The convoy made a right turn onto another narrow street. The audience could feel the tension, just as the Rangers did, with Jaye scanning every nook and cranny for possible hostiles.

Suddenly, a sniper round ricocheted off one of the Dongfeng Jeeps, instantly putting the convoy on high alert.

"Can you see 'em? Can you see 'em?!" the driver asked in a panicked voice.

"I don't see jack!" Waai Fu shouted, frustrated.

More bullets pinged off the vehicles, heightening the alarm among the Rangers. Hung's voice crackled over the radio. "All Hunter victors, this is Sergeant Hung. Prepare to engage, we're taking sniper fire from multiple directions."

"Alright, some more action," Blaze grinned.

"They're in a vulnerable position, though," Greythroat pointed out, aware that the OpFors could ambush them from all directions in the urban environment.

"That don't mean these Ranger fellas can't fight," Ethan said. "Besides, they've got those miniguns that'll turn the ambushers into dust."

"Prepare to engage! We're going in!" Waai Fu shouted.

"This is it. Spin 'em up!" said the unseen Ranger from their Jeep.

Jaye gripped the minigun turret, ready as the convoy picked up speed through the streets. Bullets continued to ricochet off the vehicles, but luckily, none of the gunners were hit.

As the convoy emerged from the narrow street, they spotted squads of OpFor fighters positioned on the roof and in the windows of a school ahead.

"There they are! Light 'em up!" Waai Fu yelled.

Jaye wasted no time, unleashing a storm of bullets from his minigun at the OpFors on the rooftop. The sheer force of the barrage snapped tree branches in his line of fire, sending them crashing to the ground as he rained fire down on the soldiers.

"They're getting ripped to shreds!" Aak yelled, astonished.

"This is just like that Kazimierz village scene in the first movie." Noir Corne remarked.

"Now the OpFors are gonna get a taste of what the Reunion soldiers did." Dylan added.

"Well, in the OpFors' case, they can still take cover in the buildings. That gives them decent protection." Yato pointed out.

Jaye and the other gunners continued to unleash a relentless barrage of bullets at the front of the school and its windows, mowing down countless OpFor fighters. Despite their overwhelming firepower, the enemy forces were vast, their numbers seemingly endless.

Suddenly, one of the OpFor fighters launched an RPG at a Dongfeng Jeep just ahead of Jaye's. The jeep exploded into pieces, killing everyone inside. The blast left Jaye momentarily shell-shocked with his ears ringing from the explosion.

"There's too many of them! Back up! Back up!" Waai Fu shouted as the Lupo driver frantically reversed the vehicle, pulling them away from the school.

Regaining his senses, Jaye continued firing at the windows and rooftop, determined to keep the OpFors at bay. Through the smoke and chaos, Jaye spotted another OpFor soldier at a window preparing to fire an RPG.

With a quick shift, Jaye dispatched him as the RPG misfired and slamming harmlessly into the ground.

"Boy, that was close." Hung remarked while Waai Fu let out a sigh of relief.

"They're getting overwhelmed." Scavenger said, seeing how the scene is not going well for the rangers.

"They can still make it out alive." Provence replied, optimistically.

"Yeah, they have the main character with them." Aak pointed out, knowing how the logic works.

"Get us outta here! Drive!" Waai Fu shouted as the Lupo driver swerved, changing direction to follow the front Dongfeng where Hung was. Jaye's Jeep followed closely as the firefight raged on through the narrow street.

Jaye and the other gunner unleashed a storm of bullets, cutting down OpFors wherever they had set up ambushes. Jaye spotted one on a balcony and quickly neutralized him. Moments later, two more enemies appeared on another balcony, firing directly at him.

Jaye took a hit to his vest, but it didn't slow him down. He kept firing, determined to fight through the pain.

As Hung's Jeep turned right, Jaye noticed a technical vehicle barreling toward them, its gunner preparing to fire. With quick reflexes, Jaye eliminated the gunner and continued shooting until the technical exploded in a fiery burst.

Just then, Jaye spotted a horde of OpFor soldiers advancing from behind the wrecked technical. But before they could engage, the driver quickly turned right, steering the Jeep away from the approaching enemy force.

"Holy fuck, they're everywhere!" Blaze exclaimed.

"The OpFors must've recruited thousands of Ibutans to join their cause." Folinic assumed.

"Slow down, we're getting strung out!" Hung's voice crackled over the radio as the two Jeeps weaved through the narrow streets.

OpFor soldiers armed with RPGs and assault rifles kept popping up from rooftops, balconies, and alleyways, and Jaye did his best to mow them down with the minigun, bullets spraying across the street.

Suddenly, a technical appeared right in front of Jaye's Jeep, cutting them off from Hung's vehicle.

"We're cut off!" Waai Fu shouted, as the convoy found itself trapped by dozens of enemies closing in from all sides.

Reacting quickly, Jaye shot the gunner on the technical before spinning the minigun in a full 360, spraying gunfire in every direction, lighting up the street filled with OpFor fighters.

"Wow, Jaye. You're killing it." Waai Fu remarked while Jaye is admired of his alternate self.

"Ha, he even did a 360!" Aak grinned.

"It's like fighting a swarm of fowlbeasts." Hung said, seeing alternate Jaye firing the weapon all over his surroundings.

"Push through!" Hung ordered over the radio.

The Lupo driver floored the gas pedal, accelerating the Dongfeng Jeep straight into the technical. The impact killed the driver of the technical, but they were still boxed in by the enemy forces.

Jaye, noticing the situation, fired at the technical to help clear a path. The driver reversed the Jeep, then surged forward, smashing into the technical again and finally breaking free of the trap.

With the path cleared, the driver sped away as Jaye turned to cover their six, firing his minigun at the horde of OpFor soldiers until they disappeared from view.

"That was close for them," Kroos said.

"I didn't expect the OpFors to fight this hard." Fang replied.

"They truly learned from their mistakes from the first movie." Greythroat remarked.

The squad finally caught up to Hung's Jeep, but they were immediately engaged by more OpFor soldiers. Hung and the others had already dismounted and taking cover, but the gunner lay dead in the turret.

Hung's eyes locked on an OpFor soldier positioned on the top floor of a nearby building, aiming an RPG straight at Jaye's Jeep.

"RPG! Top floor! Dead ahead!" Hung warned, but it was too late. The rocket was already towards the jeep.

"Look out!" Waai Fu shouted, bracing for impact.

The RPG hit the jeep dead-on, blasting it sideways. Jaye was thrown from the turret, hitting the ground hard. His vision blurred, and the now-familiar ringing in his ears returned for the third time.

"Okay, that's the third time that's happened to you," Aak remarked, glancing at Jaye.

"I agree, that ringing's really starting to get on my nerves." Hung added.

"Your alternate really ought to be more careful," Waai Fu said to Jaye while the Ursi let out a sigh.

Through the haze, Jaye saw the wrecked Dongfeng jeep to his left. Waai Fu, the Lupo driver, and the Rebbah INA soldier were already scrambling out of the turret hole, but the Ranger who had been in the vehicle didn't make it.

"Son of a..." Waai Fu cursed as the surviving group quickly regrouped with Hung, who was urgently directing them to get off the street and inside a nearby building.

"Let's go!" Waai Fu called to Jaye, urging him to move. She dashed toward a nearby door, following Hung and the others.

Jaye, still disoriented, crawled for a moment before forcing himself to his feet. With all the strength he could muster, he rushed to the door, taking cover inside the room just as more gunfire erupted outside.

"They're safe, for now." Noir said.

"They really got pulled into a trap. I gotta say, I'm impressed." Dylan remarked.

"The OpFors really coordinated that ambush well." Blaze added, nodding in acknowledgment.

"Looks like they're leaning hard into ambush and hit-and-run tactics," Dobermann observed. "Given they're outmatched by the Rangers, those tactics are effective for them."

"They've probably also resorted to guerrilla warfare—another effective way to fight a stronger army," Dur-Nar added.

The squad regrouped inside the building, each of them catching their breath after the chaos outside. Jaye, still dazed but focused, checked his gear and reloaded his T91 rifle. His eyes scanned the room, taking in the state of his surviving squadmates—Hung, Waai Fu, the Lupo driver, and the Rebbah from the Ibutan forces.

As Jaye glanced at the Lupo driver, the audience noticed that she was a pink-furred Lupo woman. Her name and rank is revealed to be 'Private Morgan'. Glancing at the Rebbah on his right, he was revealed to be 'Private Tariq'.

Aak froze, his gaze locked on the Lupo woman named Morgan. He'd heard her voice a few times during the driving scene, but now that he was seeing her, he found her absolutely gorgeous—too gorgeous for words.

Hung, Waai Fu, and Jaye noticed the young feline's expression.

"Is he alright?" Jaye asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know..." Hung replied, placing a hand on Aak's shoulder. "You good there, little buddy?"

Aak didn't respond, still mesmerized by the pink Lupo woman on the screen.

Waai Fu glanced at the screen, then back at Aak before smirking. "Looks like he's found his first fictional crush."

"Aww, that's adorable," Hung giggled.

"Fictional crush?" Jaye asked, still confused.

"When you're watching something—whether it's a video game, cartoon, or movie—you can get attached to a character and end up crushing on how handsome or beautiful they are," Waai Fu explained.

"Waai Fu's had her fair share," Hung teased, making Waai Fu blush slightly.

"Alright, that's... weird," Jaye muttered, while Aak snapped out of it as the alternate Jaye on screen glanced away from Morgan, leaving Aak a little disappointed.

"Is everyone alright?" Hung asked.

"Hooah," Waai Fu responded with a nod. The squad then heard footsteps and gunfire from the floor above. "They're moving around upstairs." she stated.

"Get the hell away from those windows and secure the top floor! Move! Move!" Hung ordered.

Jaye followed the order and took point, moving into the next room where a set of stairs led to the upper floor. While heading towards the stairs, he spotted a lone OpFor soldier descending down from the upper floor.

The soldier saw them and aimed his MP5K, but Jaye reacted first, shooting him and sending his body tumbling down the stairs.

"Heh, a worthy clip." Blaze chuckled.

"By the way, was that soldier using a smaller MP5?" Amiya asked, noticing the OpFor soldier's weapon.

"Yeah. It looks like they've got access to more international weapons, rather than just Ursus-made ones." the Doctor replied.

Jaye ascended the stairs with Morgan, quickly spotting two more OpFors near the landing. He eliminated one by the window, while Morgan took down the other with her MP5K. Jaye then crouched down, dodging gunfire coming from another room down the hall.

"Get a flashbang in there!" Hung ordered.

Jaye pulled out a flashbang and tossed it into the room. As soon as it detonated, disorienting the enemies inside, Jaye moved forward with Morgan right behind him.

They entered the room and swiftly neutralized the three stunned OpFors. Once the area was secured, Hung, Waai Fu, and Tariq joined them on the now-cleared floor.

"She fights so good..." Aak muttered, completely awestruck by Morgan.

"Oh brother..." Jaye rolled his eyes in annoyance, while Hung and Waai Fu exchanged amused glances at Aak's reaction.

Dylan, noticing the commotion, leaned over and whispered to Noir, "This is like when Franka got all worked up over Massey."

Noir chuckled quietly, "You got that right."

"Hunter 2-1 to Hunter 2-3. I have eyes on the school, over," Hung reported over the radio, as Jaye glanced to his left through the window, spotting the same school where they had been ambushed.

"2-1, we're combat ineffective up here! We're taking heavy fire from the school! Can you assist, over?!" came the urgent reply from the leader of Hunter 2-3.

"Keep it together, 2-3! We're on the way! 2-1 out!" Hung turned to his squad. "Squad, on me! Let's move!"

Jaye and the others followed Hung out of the building, advancing toward the school. They opened fire on the OpFors stationed there as Jaye spotted a squad of them retreating from the playground into the school.

Amiya let out a slight frown as she looked at the damaged school building. "I wonder what it was like before all this..."

"It must've been peaceful for the Ibutan children, until the OpFors came in," the Doctor replied thoughtfully.

"At least the children won't have to endure the fighting now," Hellagur said, noting that the school had already been abandoned. His expression darkened as he thought back to Peterheim Middle School, shaking his head with a heavy heart. He wished those children hadn't suffered.

The squad advanced toward the school doors while the OpFor gunners at the windows above kept firing on Hunter 2-3's convoy. Once inside, the squad were immediately met by more OpFor fighters descending from the stairs ahead.

"Hunter 2-3, this is Hunter 2-1. We're inside the school. Heavy resistance," Hung reported as he fired his QBZ-95 at the approaching enemies.

"Copy that, Hunter 2-1," came the response.

Reloading quickly, Jaye took down two more hostiles before seeing Waai Fu taking point down the hallway. Suddenly, gunfire erupted from the right side, and a bullet struck her, but she held her ground, returning fire at an OpFor positioned in a classroom doorway with her QBZ-95.

"Watch it! Classroom on the right!" she warned, reloading her rifle.

Waai Fu sighed in relief. "I almost got killed there."

"You and Jaye both had a close call." Hung remarked.

"You know, I'd rather use my kung fu on those enemies." she said.

"That would be reckless." Vulcan pointed out.

"Yeah, Hokey movements and ancient techniques are no match for a good rifle on your side in this universe." Ethan chimed in with a little grin.

"It's just an opinion." Waai Fu huffed, crossing her arms a bit.

Jaye quickly moved toward the classroom, tossing in a flashbang. As the grenade detonated, he rushed inside and neutralized two OpFor fighters.

Exiting the classroom, Jaye spotted another OpFor soldier retreating up the stairs and took him out with a well-placed shot. Moments later, Tariq eliminated another enemy on the stairs with a few precise rounds.

"At least this Tariq guy seems to have passed aim training," Scavenger said.

"See? Not all of them are bad shots," Provence added.

"But they can still get killed easily," Red said bluntly, causing Provence to shift uncomfortably closer to Scavenger.

Scavenger didn't seem to mind, though, as she blushed slightly, feeling Provence's presence and their tails brushing close.

With the hallway and stairs cleared, the squad proceeded to the second floor with Jaye taking point.

"Keep moving! We need to take the heat off Hunter 2-3!" Hung urged.

Jaye and the squad pushed their way to the second floor. Noticing the right hallway was barricaded, Jaye headed left. Up ahead, he spotted two OpFor soldiers by the windows, focused on firing at the convoy below.

Without hesitation, he loaded his M203 grenade launcher and fired, taking out both enemies with a single shot. Moving quickly, Jaye, Morgan, and Waai Fu advanced, turning into the right hallway where more OpFor soldiers were positioned.

Realizing they were now under attack from inside the building, the OpFors shifted their attention away from the windows and directed their fire toward the Rangers. Jaye and Waai Fu swiftly took them down.

"Hunter 2-1, this is Hunter 2-3! Thanks for the assist! We're boarding Hunter Three's Humvee and pulling out, over!" Hunter 2-3 reported over the radio.

"Roger that 2-3." Hung responded.

"Yeah, I'm cutting through history class now." Waai Fu remarked as Jaye sees her going in to the history classroom of the school.

"Roger that." Morgan replied with a slight chuckle as the squad continued their way to the hallway.

"I'd never do that in an actual history class." Waai Fu proclaimed.

"Of course you wouldn't, nerd perfectionist." Aak teased.

"It's about learning, you dolt." Waai Fu shot back with a slight frown.

"History is important after all." Hung chimed in, with Jaye nodding in agreement.

Suddenly, three OpFor fighters appeared ahead, opening fire and forcing the Rangers to take cover. Jaye and Tariq quickly returned fire, taking down one of the enemies while the remaining two ducked behind a barricade of tables.

Thinking fast, Jaye tossed a frag grenade over the barricade. The OpFors, realizing the danger, attempted to flee. Jaye managed to shoot one while the other was caught in the explosion.

As the smoke cleared, Jaye noticed Tariq moving cautiously to the room ahead. But before he could react, an OpFor soldier appeared to the left and fired a burst of bullets, hitting Tariq in the head. The Ibutan soldier collapsed instantly.

"Man down!" Hung shouted

"Poor fella," Noir Corne remarked. "He was the only one of those Ibutans who knew how to aim."

"He was probably determined to get the OpFors out of his homeland." Vulcan added.

"May he rest in peace fighting these bastards." Blaze said.

Jaye quickly loaded his M203 and fired at the OpFor's position, killing the soldier instantly. The Rangers continue to move up out of the school.

As they advanced down another hallway, Jaye spotted the exit door. However, they still had to deal with the remaining OpFor forces. Jaye swiftly eliminated two soldiers positioned behind a sandbag barricade before noticing one fleeing into a nearby room.

"I think I saw one run into that classroom," Hung pointed out.

Waai Fu nodded and entered the classroom while Jaye stayed back in the hallway. As he moved forward, he spotted another OpFor soldier ready to fire. Jaye took him down before he could get a shot off.

To his left, through the classroom window, Jaye saw Waai Fu. She expertly threw the last OpFor soldier to the ground by his arm, then delivered a final shot to his head.

"Clear!" Waai Fu said as she exited the classroom.

"I still got it." Waai Fu said with a smirk, seeing her alternate self did that move.

"I don't think that was kung fu, though." Jaye pointed out.

"It still counts."

After clearing the school, the Rangers make their way outside. As they exited the building, Hung reached for the radio. "Hunter 2-1 Actual to Overlord."

"Hunter 2-1 Actual, this is Overlord. Send traffic," Lee responded.

"The school is secure. Hostiles are withdrawing, and we're just mopping up now," Hung reported.

"Solid copy, Hunter 2-1 Actual. Proceed with caution to the rally point. EPWs may still be alive. Over."

"Roger that, Overlord. Thanks for the tip. Out." Hung ended the call and addressed the squad, "Squad, watch for enemy stragglers! Let's get to that rally point!"

As the squad turned into an alleyway leading to the rally point, they spotted more OpFor soldiers.

"They're popping up like cautuses." Ethan remarked, seeing the amount of OpFors that are still alive and kicking.

"Hopefully these are the last ones we had to deal with." Hung said.

Jaye and Hung immediately opened fire, taking out several of the hostiles while the rest scrambled for cover and returned fire.

Jaye loaded his M203 and fired a grenade round, hitting the enemy position. Hung followed suit with his QBZ-95's grenade launcher, decimating more hostiles in the alley.

Jaye took point, moving up to the alleyway. He was suddenly hit to the side by his left. Jaye quickly shift his gun to the direction, unloading his magazine into an enemy by the garage. As that enemy went down, another one appeared, firing at Jaye.

Jaye took cover and switched to his sidearm - a T75k3 pistol. With a quick move, he popped out of cover and shot the second OpFor soldier near the garage.

"Clear!" Hung called out, confirming the area was secure. Jaye switched back to his rifle as the squad pressed on toward the rally point.

Suddenly, an OpFor soldier appeared in front of them, but he was firing his pistol at someone else while backing away. He was cut down by a barrage of bullets before falling to the ground, dead.

"Wow, that guy just got destroyed." Catapult said with an amused grin.

"I feel bad for him," Popukar added, her voice soft.

"He's an OpFor, Popukar. You don't need to feel bad for him." Spot replied firmly.

"Unless he was an Ibutan who joined them." Orchid chimed in, her tone more contemplative.

As they reached the end of the alleyway, Jaye spotted two more Rangers, responsible for taking down the last OpFor. Jaye and the squad exited the alley and arrived at the rally point where the convoy was parked.

The audience then saw Wei Yenwu at the center of the scene, speaking with two Rangers and an Ibutan militiaman.

"Get the wounded to the shock trauma unit. Use my helicopter." Wei ordered, referring to the injured men they suffered.

Jaye and his squad lowered their weapons as they approached the General. Wei turned to them, offering a grateful smile. "Good work on taking the town, men."

Wei then turned his eyes towards Jaye, "Private Jaye, you'll be taking orders from me from now on. I'll brief you on the chopper. Let's go." he said, gesturing toward the Pave Low helicopter behind them.

"Battalion is Oscar Mike!" the Ranger beside him shouted with a gesture as the troops continue on their mission while a Changhe Z-11 helicopter with six men onboard lifted off into the air.

The scene ended as Jaye followed the General into the helicopter before fading to black, concluding the segment.

"That was a pretty neat ending," Hung commented.

"I agree. Glad we got to see us three in action in this new universe," Waai Fu said with a smile.

"I may not have been in this universe yet, but I think I'm already in love..." Aak grinned.

"Pretty sure she's a little older than you," Hung pointed out, knowing Aak had only just reached adulthood.

"The older, the better, my dude~" Aak replied with a wink, making the LDA ops roll their eyes.

"It's a shame that Tariq guy died," Spot remarked. "I mean, we didn't get to see much of the Ibutan army soldiers, but he seemed like one of the more experienced ones, despite being a private."

"Well, we might see more of them if the later sections still take place in Ibut," Midnight added.

"I wonder why Wei Yenwu is taking Jaye under his wing?" Amiya pondered aloud.

"Maybe he recognized Jaye's actions during the fight and from the pit in the last scene," Doctor suggested.

"I agree with that first part. Jaye was a real beast in that fight." Bagpipe remarked.

"Especially how the OpFors got a little better in this sequel." Greythroat added.

"My alternate self did go a little crazy there." Jaye recalled, thinking about how he had sprayed the minigun wildly on his surroundings, killing enemy soldiers and tearing up buildings.

"He did what he had to do to survive." Noir Corne said.

"Yeah, he's a survivor." Dylan chimed in. "He can totally handle whatever Wei's got in store for him."

"It's probably a top-secret mission," Provence guessed. "Kind of like you two SWEEP girls," she added, looking at Red and Scavenger.

"If that's true, it'll take a lot of training to get on that level," Scavenger said.

Projekt Red nodded in agreement and replied, "And he is still of the lower rank in the military."

"Ranks don't usually matter. It is the skills from the person." Ch'en stated.

"Speaking of which, I'm still wondering when Amiya and possibly Ch'en will show up again in the sequel," Folinic said thoughtfully.

"I can picture Amiya all grown up after five years. She's gotta be," Blaze added with a smirk.

"Well, let's find out right now," Amiya said with an eager smile, grabbing the remote and tuning into the next part of the sequel.

==================

I decided to add in Morgan from Wolverines for this mission. The reason is that she's gonna play a more major role in the Rangers section of this universe, much like Massey in the first game. And how I want to write Aak having a major crush on her lolz.

Also for the Rangers section, the SCAR guns will be changed to the QBZ-95 Bullpup gun. That means whoever is playing Ramirez will be equipped with a QBZ rather than a SCAR. I like to add variety.

Anyways, get ready for the reveal on who is going to be Makarov and who is going to be Roach.

For Roach's case, I'll give you a little hint. Watch his takedown at the sleeping chair guy and try to guess which Rhodes Island operator (Only affiliated in Rhodes Island) would likely to make that move :)

See you in 'Cliffhanger'.
