One Shot, One Kill
I don't know why some people thought I'd be doing a World At War reaction story or having them reacting to WW2 movie scenes, songs, etc.
This is supposed to be a "Modern Warfare Trilogy" reaction story FFS!
I am NOT gonna have them reacting to other cod games or war movies or other shit in this book that is not the original modern warfare. The hell got you guys thinking about that?!
Yes, they would learn about it after this, but not in the way where they would be reacting to it like they are doing with the MW universe! Besides, It would be a total waste of time since the WW2 in the Arknights universe would be heavily altered and would not fit in with the events of the war.
That was my little vent for today. Now on to the mission.
__________________________________________
The screen starts with the view of a Ferris wheel somewhere in an abandoned amusement park. A clock appeared in the bottom left corner as the screen switches to the hotel that acted as the destination for Ch'en and Kal'tsit.
The camera slowly moves in to the building while the clock went faster as the hours go by, judging from the scenery. It became nighttime for a few moments before it goes back to day.
The clock went by another day, yet the camera is still moving towards the building. When the clock reached the third day, the camera is now infront of the building moving towards one of the large windows.
There, the two figures of Kal'tsit and Ch'en are seen still wearing their ghillie suits while using binoculars overlooking the scene. Then the screen fades to white, beginning the mission.
"Have they just been waiting there for 3 days straight?" Blaze asked.
"Looks like it. " Greythroat said.
"Why wait that long though?" Sesa inquired
"An assassination does take lots of planning and patience." Firewatch stated. "Besides, Chernobog is a pretty big city. If they went in the same day where Patriot starts his deal, it would be too late."
"Hopefully this means I won't be stanched with piss anymore..." Ch'en frowned, still hating the fact she got pissed on. If she known how the guy looks, she would hunt him down.
"I bet Kal had to stay away from ya during those three days." Closure said with a chuckle, earning glares from Ch'en and Kal'tsit.
"Well, I guess it's time to find out how Patriot survived this attempted assassination." Amiya responded.
The screen returns to Ch'en's point of view as she was seen laying down on the floor with Kal'tsit on her right. There was also a sniper rifle that looked way different than the one they were using from the last mission.
"Woah, now what is that sniper rifle?" Franka observed in amazement at the sheer size of it, design-wise too.
Swire whistled. "Look at the length of that thing."
"Doesn't look like the sniper Ch'en and Me were using last time." Kal'tsit said.
"Well it looks like it can pack a punch." Ch'en remarked.
"Since Patriot would lose an arm in this assassination, that's probably the case." Hoshiguma claims.
"I'm eager to see how it performs." Meteorite said.
"Leftenant Hui-Chieh, the meeting is underway. Enemy transport sighted entering the target area." Kal'tsit informed.
Ch'en obliged as she mans the sniper rifle, which is the Barrett M82 50 caliber sniper rifle. She gripped it tight, taking a glance at a picture of Patriot before looking through the scope.
The audience could then see through the sniper's scope. Up in the distance, they could see a good amount of vehicles in the area. That must be where the deal is going.
"They're gonna shoot him at a pretty long range." Meteor observed.
"Is that even possible?" Franka said. "No gun could ever go that amount of range."
"Alternate world. Alternate possibilities." Bagpipe states.
"The wind's gettin' a bit choppy. You can compensate for it, or you can wait it out, but he might leave before it dies down. It's your call." Kal'tsit said.
When Ch'en was zooming closer to the scene, the lynx continued. "Remember what I've taught you. Keep in mind variable humidity and wind speed along the bullet's flight path. At this distance you'll also have to take the Coriolis Effect into account.
"Right....what she just said." Sesa said, not getting it.
"I think what she meant is that the wind would have an effect to the bullet flight." Vulcan explained. "So if Ch'en is aiming at a target, the bullet won't go straight to them, instead they would curve a bit to the side."
"Okay, that makes more sense."
After Ch'en fully zoomed to the scene, she saw about eight soldiers gathered around a set of tables with guns on top of them. Most of the soldiers present were the Luscinian mercenaries.
The jeeps that arrived had stopped as a squad of Guerillas disembarked their vehicles and gathered to the tables. One of the jeeps stopped at the center.
Two of the mercenaries went to the jeep before a familiar figure appeared. Patriot had come into their view, heading towards the tables while carrying a black briefcase in his hand.
"There's Buldrokkas' tee." Hellagur said, observing his appearance. It felt weird to him seeing the wendigo wearing a simple attire like that.
"Wonder what he's carrying?" Folinic asked.
"Something valuable for the deal, possibly." Beehunter said.
"Ok... I think I see him. Wait for my mark." Kal'tsit said.
Patriot puts the briefcase at the table as he opened it, revealing a good amount of gold bars in it.
"You were right." Doctor said to Beehunter
"That sure is a lot of gold." Amiya commented.
"I assume he trades in those gold for the nuclear material from the Luscinians." Yato said.
"Makes sense." Noir replied. "I would probably do the same if I were given that many gold bars."
"You're willing to sell dangerous nuclear materials?" Spot asked to him with a deadpanned expression.
"I never said about nuclear materials!" The oni exclaimed.
"Target acquired. I have a positive I.D. on Buldrokkas'tee." Kal'tsit declared as Ch'en kept on watching the deal happening. After opening the briefcase, Patriot gestured to the mercenaries to come take a look.
One of them went towards the briefcase full of gold. He grabbed one of the gold bars, examining it. Kal'tsit continued. "Steady...keep an eye on that flag. Watch for any change in wind speed and direction."
Ch'en took the time to glance at the red flag that was on the table, the wind blowing the piece of cloth on the right, indicating that if she were to shoot it now, the force of the wind would blow the bullet to the right.
"Looks like she's waiting for the wind to die down." Ansel said.
"A smart choice. If she fired now, the wind might blow the bullet away from her target." Steward replied.
Ch'en focused back on the deal as she sees the mercenary tossing the gold bar to his comrade. He examined it aswell before tossing the gold bar back. The Liberi puts it back on the briefcase, closing it after.
Just then, a helicopter suddenly appeared on her crosshair, getting some jumps from the audience. Ch'en zoomed out to see that it was an MI-28 Havoc.
"Damn that just came outta nowhere." Bagpipe said.
"Hey, that's the same chopper that we saw at the first mission of act 2." Fang pointed out.
"Oh no, that means it is now an enemy." Kroos said, worryingly.
"Considered the damage it had done to the Reunion forces, it's gonna be a pain to try and avoid it." Dur-Nar remarked.
"Just because it's powerful doesn't mean it's invincible." Dobermann stated.
"Yeah, but what are they gonna use to take it down?"
"Ach, where did he come from?" Kal'tsit exclaimed at the helicopter. " Patience, Ch'en. Wait for a clear shot..."
The Havoc looked left and right as Ch'en could get a clear view on the two Ursus pilots, them being Guerillas. The pilot seemed to be reporting something on his earpiece, probably not seeing any possible hostiles from where they are.
The Havoc flew away, allowing Ch'en to focus back at Patriot. She zoomed at a good distance, allowing her to see the entire area.
While everyone was waiting for the shot to anticipate, Ch'en took the time to observe the surroundings. Then something piqued her two crimson eyes.
At one of the jeeps, there were two figures that didn't got out of their vehicle. One was by the driver seat, and the other was at the back seat. The driver seems to be talking to the passenger by the back, the latter looking like they had just woken up.
Ch'en squinted her eyes but couldn't make up on who those two figures were, due to the fact that her alternate self did not zoom in to get a closer look on them and that the two were wearing beanies. She leaned forward, trying to observe their faces.
"What are you looking at, Ch'en?" Ch'en shook her head for a moment before turning to Hoshiguma that asked to her when she was observing the two figures.
"Oh, nothing. Thought I saw someone." Ch'en replied.
"Okay..." Hoshiguma raised an eyebrow but shrugged it off and look back to the screen.
MW Ch'en shifted back to Patriot, zooming closer to him. It appears that the deal had turned to an argument as the audience could see Patriot talking back at the two Luscinian mercenaries, raising his arms in frustration.
"I wonder what happened there?" Sesa asked.
"Maybe the gold wasn't enough for them." Greythroat guessed.
"That could be it." Blaze replied.
"Hey, I think the wind is slowly dissipating." Firewatch pointed out to the red flag.
Indeed she was right. The flag had stopped moving, indicating that the wind had disappeared for the moment. Kal'tsit noticed too as she shouts, "It's now or never, take the shot!"
Hearing the sudden call out, Ch'en immediately pulled the trigger. The audience could see the bullet making its way to Patriot as it proceed to hit his left arm. The impact was so strong that it manage to ripped it off, launching him down to the ground while tons of blood splurged out.
The Guerillas and the Luscinians were caught off guard and went on full alert. They scrambled around the area to find out where the shot came from.
Most of the audience were surprised from that shot, a few cringing from all the blood that came out, but a good amount were impressed from the bullet.
"Holy shit!" Sesa exclaimed in shock.
"Woah, now that is a lot of damage!" Blaze shouted.
"Look at all the blood!" Catapult exclaimed.
"Dang, a single bullet can do that?!" Franka said in disbelief. Never thought she would see one bullet to rip off an arm. Either it was the bullet or whatever that sniper rifle is.
"Target is down! Nice shot, Leftenant. I think you blew his arm off. Shock and blood loss will take care of the rest." Kal'tsit remarked.
"Well, consider that he appeared 12 years later, he did survived it." Ch'en said.
"How can he survive from such a force like that, though?" Closure wondered.
"Yeah, and with losing loads of blood like that, he could've died from blood loss." Folinic joined in.
"This is still Buldrokkas'tee after all." Kal'tsit stated. "But it is possible that he may be lucky."
"Or someone got him out of there as fast as they can." Amiya said.
"That is also a possibility." Kal'tsit replied.
"Whoever it was, they might get a promotion for it. Saving a very important figure could get you a great reward." Doctor remarked.
The MI-28 helicopter from before reappeared on Ch'en's crosshair. This time, it was aiming from where they are. "Shit... they're onto us! Take out that helicopter, it'll buy us some time!" Kal'tsit said.
Ch'en obliged and quickly aim at the guy on the back - which is the pilot. She fired a shot and killed him, the windshield now splattered with his own blood. The back of the MI-28 then went up in flames as it descends to the ground.
"Great shot, Leftenant!" Kal'tsit complimented at the shot. "Now let's go! They'll be searching for us."
"It destroyed the chopper too?!" Dur-Nar said in shock.
"That is indeed a powerful gun." Dobermann replied, feeling impressed at the performance of the 50 caliber rifle.
"Also, how did the chopper went up in flames?" Beagle asked.
"Maybe the bullet hit the engine from behind." Noir Corne theorized.
"I say that is one extraordinary sniper!" Kroos exclaimed with a smile, wanting to get her hands on it.
"Agreed." Jessica replied, though she cannot imagine holding it let alone firing it. Seeing how it ripped off Patriot's arm, the recoil would be very strong.
How did Ch'en didn't dislocated her shoulder after firing such a monster?
"It's time to move!" Kal'tsit declared as the audience could see Ch'en unmanning the 50 caliber and rose up on her feet. She then sees another MI-28 heading this way. "We'll have to take the shortcut! Follow my lead!" Ch'en obliges and follows the lynx.
"Wait, are they just gonna leave that powerful rifle behind?!" Franka exclaimed.
"Yeah, what gives?" Firewatch protested.
"Maybe the sniper is too heavy for them to carry." Frostleaf thoughted.
"They are getting out of here as fast as they could, so if that thing is weighing them down, it's probably best to leave it." Hoshiguma said.
"It's like that Javelin thing again." Swire remarked.
They head over to an open window that has two wires wrapped on it. The two then rappel down the building just as their floor was destroyed by the MI-28. The explosion caused the windows to break, sending glass shrapnel's everywhere.
"Well there goes that powerful sniper..." Sesa crossed her arms disappoitned.
"I assume they'd have more in stock if they considered leaving that one behind." Vulcan said.
Ch'en and Kal'tsit then reached the ground, unhooking the wires. She then equips her M21, which isn't suppressed anymore nor covered in grass.
"Leftenant Hui-Chieh, follow me." Kal'tsit said.
Ch'en followed behind her as the Lynx then went to her radio. "Delta Two-Four, this is Alpha Six! We have been compromised, I repeat - we have been compromised, now heading to Extraction Point Four!"
Then a reply came. "Alpha Six, Big Bird is en route. ETA - 20 minutes. Don't be late. We're stretchin' our fuel as it is. Out."
As the two made it down the road filled with abandoned cars, they were fired upon by a dozen Guerillas coming from ahead.
"Wow, those are a lot of soldiers." Catapult commented.
"They did try to assassinate their high ranking official, so it makes sense they would after those two with everything they have." Spot stated.
Ch'en had to stop at one of the cars and took aim at the incoming forces. She manage to kill about three of them while ducking down to avoid gunfire. She hears Kal'tsit also firing her weapon to the Guerillas.
"Enemy sighted near the Hotel Polissia! I repeat, enemy soldiers are near the Hotel Polissia!" A Guerilla shouted in Ursine through a loudspeaker.
Ch'en stood back up, noticing two more dead Guerillas caused by Kal'tsit. She and the lynx continued to shoot the Guerillas. Luckily, most of them were terrible shots and didn't went to cover fast enough, which allowed the two to pick em off easily.
Despite that, more Guerilla soldiers kept coming. Ch'en then sees two helis appearing from their area, dropping more Guerilla soldiers.
"Man, they are sending everything just to take out two people." Yato said.
"Might as well bring in the Luscinians too. They're allied after all." Noir Corne replied.
"Forget these guys, we're going to get left behind! Let's get to the extraction point!" Kal'tsit urged.
Knowing this, Ch'en took out her USP 45 and starts shooting at them in close combat as she runs. She went to one of the abandoned BMPs, taking out a Guerilla in the process. She reloads her pistol and glanced at the weapon of the fallen Guerilla - an AK47.
Since they're running for their lives, Ch'en needs a more reliable weapon with enough ammo in its mag. She goes over to the AK47 and picks it up, replacing her pistol.
"A nice choice of weapon for this situation." Doctor said.
"They should've bring an SMG instead of a pistol, just saying." Closure remarked.
Ch'en then walk pass the BMP and used her newly acquired assault rifle at three Guerillas that were ahead of her. One of them was shot by Kal'tsit as Ch'en could see her running.
"We'll lose 'em in that apartment! Come on!" She said.
The two head over to the abandoned apartment buildings as Ch'en turn around to fire a few shots at the incoming Guerillas. She then heard barking as she turned to her left and sees two dogs coming at her. She dispatched them with her AK47 with no problem.
"Even dogs aswell? They can't catch a break." Swire said.
When they reached the apartment building, the audience noticed that the Guerillas are not pursuing them anymore. Nevertheless, the two Rhodes Islanders went in the apartment.
Kal'tsit took point with Ch'en following behind her. They went left to a hallway, but it was blocked. Luckily there was a door as Kal'tsit opened it up. They traverse into the rooms before reaching a window.
Kal'tsit got up first, briefly went outside, before she climbs up another window ahead. Ch'en followed suit, but after climbing the first fence, a dog suddenly came barking at her which startled her and the audience.
It tried to attack, but the iron fence was blocking its way. Ch'en quickly shoots it dead in irritation before proceeding to the next window.
"Fucking jump scares..." Blaze grumbled.
"I know right?" Sesa replied. "They're like the thing that ruins many horror games."
"I second that." Spot chimed in. "Too many horror games always rely on jump scares and not actual horror."
"There are a good few games that are scary without relying on jump scares." Closure explained. "Like that game that sets in the Kazimierzian woods where a plague had infected the land and trapped the folks living there with the trees."
"I think I played that game before. It was pretty scary." Greythroat said.
Kal'tsit and Ch'en proceed from the next building. They went right to another hallway and moved forward, going through another door and a big hole in the wall.
They went left to another room, but then Kal'tsit halted to a stop. "Standby..."
The audience were confused for a moment until they saw about four enemy soldiers outside of the building from the window. Looking closer, they noticed that it wasn't the Guerillas. It was the Luscinian mercenaries.
"I was right. The Luscinians are also after the two." Noir said.
"But why, though?" Ansel asked. "I thought Patriot was important to the Guerillas only."
"Perhaps it also proves Noir's theory on them being allies." Steward answered.
"Or they're just mad that the two disrupted the deal. They did want more of the gold after all." Bagpipe said.
"Well i guess this means that Ch'en and Kal'tsit are going to be chased by two enemy groups. Not a good sign to me." Blaze remarked.
The Luscinians looked around the area for the two Rhodes Islanders before one of them motioned the squad to move up to the door of the building they are in.
"Quick, plant a claymore by the door up ahead!" Kal'tsit ordered, gesturing to the door. Ch'en went ahead and took out her claymores.
"They've been carrying claymores this whole time?" Meteorite raised an eyebrow.
"Just in case for something like this happens." Frostleaf said.
Ch'en went near the door and planted a claymore before backing away. Just then, she heard a shot coming from Kal'tsit's sniper rifle.
"Got one!" She shouted, indicating that she killed one of the Luscinians.
Ch'en duck down from the gunfire erupted by the mercenaries outside as she kept watch on the door. Then she saw one of the mercenaries walked into the room, a big mistake. Soon after, the claymore activated - killing the mercenary.
Another mercenary came up to the doorway, but Ch'en shot him dead with her AK47. It was followed by another shot from Kal'tsit's rifle, killing the last mercenary of the group.
After dealing with the group, Kal'tsit and Ch'en went outside of the apartment. The former then shouted, "More behind us!"
Ch'en turned around and sees three more Luscinian mercenaries coming out of the second apartment. The two quickly put them down with Ch'en killing two of them with her assault rifle.
Suddenly, out in the distance, the second MI-28 appeared as it is aiming it's guns at the two. "Incoming helicopter!" Kal'tsit shouted.
"Oh now that's just great." Bagpipe sarcastically said.
"How are they gonna take that down?" Ch'en wondered.
"They can't. They gotta run somehow." Hoshiguma responded.
To her and everyone's surprise, MW Kal'tsit then said, " Ch'en, shoot the helicopter! We'll take it down together!"
"Wait, what?!" Folinic shouted.
"I'm sorry, what?" Kal'tsit recited in shock.
"Wow. Your alternate self is crazy." Doctor remarked.
"It's impossible to shoot it down without an AT weapon." Swire exclaimed.
"They can still shoot the pilot, though." Amiya said.
"Yeah, but that's gonna be difficult since the helicopter is far away from them!" Closure replied.
Kal'tsit and Ch'en stood their ground with the latter switching her AK47 with her M21 sniper rifle. The two then starts shooting at the MI-28. Ch'en tried her best to take out the pilot until she unloaded her entire mag.
Quickly reloading her gun, she aimed and fired again. A few of the shots manage to hit the rotors until it was on fire which caused the MI-28 to lose control and descending down.
"Huh, that was easy." Doctor said.
"I didn't expect their snipers to take it out." Ch'en replied.
"Well it looks like they hit the weak spot, which is the rotors." Kal'tsit pointed out.
Seeing that the chopper is going down, Ch'en glanced at Kal'tsit as she slowly turns around and walks away. "Goodnight, ya bastard."
She was about to join until she heard a crash, forcing her and the lynx to shift back. The MI-28 had its tail crashed into the apartment, still losing control. It then fired it's missiles, only hitting the rest of the building before crashing into the ground towards the two.
"Ah, crap! Run!" Kal'tsit yelled out as the two begin to run from the crashing helicopter. As they ran, Ch'en briefly saw Kal'tsit getting hit by a stray metal, causing her to fall to the ground.
"Dr. Kal'tsit!" Amiya shouted in worry.
"No!" Folinic exclaimed.
"Holy crap!" Closure said.
Ch'en then dive down to the ground, which thankfully saved her from getting hit by any debris. She quickly turned around to see the MI-28 getting closer and closer to them, especially to Kal'tsit when she is crawling to safety.
Thankfully, the MI-28 stopped inches away from hitting Kal'tsit as the latter used her hand to stop the rotor.
Amiya sighed in relief. "That was close."
"Really really close..." Doctor said, also in relief that Kal'tsit survived from getting hit by the helicopter.
"I can't believe i almost died right there..." Kal'tsit uttered with wide eyes.
"Good thing you didn't." Closure replied.
Ch'en quickly went to her side. Kal'tsit grasping her leg in pain. "Bloody hell, my leg's all messed up! I can't move! Sorry Ch'en, you're gonna have to carry me!"
"Well that's not good." Bagpipe said.
"Yeah, carrying an injured man is one thing, but doing it while being chased by hundreds of enemies without any air support is gonna be challenging." Blaze replied.
Ch'en helps Kal'tsit up by offering a hand to her, then she crouched down a bit to put the lynx on her back, carrying her on her shoulders.
"If we run into trouble, you'll have to find a good spot to put me down so I can cover you." Kal'tsit said. Ch'en exit the yard through a fence and walked on a road. "The extraction point is to the southwest. We can still make it if we hurry."
Just then, three more Luscinian mercenaries appeared infront of them, in which Kal'tsit called out. "Hostiles closing in from the west!"
Knowing what she must do, Ch'en put Kal'tsit down to the ground before pulling out her AK47 and shoot two of the mercenaries. The third one was dealt with by Kal'tsit with her sniper rifle.
"Despite being injured, she can still fight back." Dobermann remarked.
"You still got it, Kal'tsit." Doctor commented with a thumbs up.
"Thanks, I guess." She replied.
"Tangos moving to the east." Kal'tsit informed. Ch'en quickly turned around and saw two more mercenaries firing at them. She took out the one by the car while Kal'tsit take out the other near the building.
Knowing that the area is clear, Ch'en returned to Kal'tsit and carefully carried her again. "Easy now..." the latter said.
Ch'en walked further down the road, eventually taking a left that leads to a frontyard. She stopped and crouched down when she saw more enemies by the path. There were about seven of them, both Guerilla and Luscinian.
Ch'en stayed hidden behind the bushes, not wanting to engage the group since it would risk getting Kal'tsit even hurt.
Thanks to the ghillie suits, she and Kal'tsit blended in well with the bushes. Ch'en kept watching as the enemies gave orders to each other regarding of finding those who had assassinated Patriot.
Soon after, they left the area. Ch'en slowly got out of the bushes and head right towards another apartment building. Just then, a Heli appeared as it stopped on the front yard, preparing its ropes.
"Man these guys are everywhere." Spot remarked.
"They're like roaches." Catapult commented.
"Head for that apartment, we'll try to lose 'em in there!" Kal'tsit said.
With a quick pace, Ch'en made it inside the building before the Guerillas could rope down. Ch'en went to the door by the right corner into a room. After going through the only door, she went to the second floor by going up on some fallen debris.
She went left and reached the balcony of the center area before going across to another room. After she went in, a dog suddenly appeared infront of her. She quickly put Kal'tsit down.
Just as she did that, the dog went out of sight. She took out her AK47 and cautiously aim at both of the door all while hearing growling and some Ursine voices, indicating that there are more enemies in the area she's in.
"Looks like she has to deal with them in close quarters." Dobermann stated.
"That's gonna be tough. A shotgun could've been useful in this." Beagle said.
"And the fact there are dogs aswell." Kroos added.
Ch'en slowly approaches the door to her right while Kal'tsit covers the other door. When she made it to the door, she was met with gunfire erupting from her right. Luckily the shots didn't hit her as she went back to cover.
Knowing there was an enemy there, Ch'en threw in one of her flashbangs. When it exploded, she went in the hallway-like room and killed a Guerilla on her right.
She then turned around to see a dog coming towards her. It tried to leap at her, but Ch'en evaded the attack and shot the mutt dead. Meanwhile a shot was fired from Kal'tsit M21, indicating that she killed one of the enemies.
Ch'en went in the next room on her right, but was attacked by another Guerilla from the next room over, trying to hit her with the butt of his gun.
Ch'en manage to evade the attack, then putting two bullets to his gut. But that doesn't seem to be enough for the lung girl as she then pinned him down to the wall, delivering a punch to his stomach before sending a knife to his throat, stabbing it deep.
Unknown to the rest of the audience, the Guerilla that Ch'en had killed was the one that pissed on her from the last mission.
"Oooh, brutal." Franka commented.
"Killing someone by the throat really irks me for some reason..." Ansel said.
"Imagine being the said person getting shanked to the throat like that." Blaze shivered.
After killing the Guerilla, Ch'en went to the room he was in. Another dog appeared infront of her and manage to pin her down. The dog tried to bite her neck, but Ch'en grabbed the its head before breaking its neck.
"That is some strength." Beehunter commented, though feeling a bit bad for the dog.
Getting up back to her feet, Ch'en make her way back to Kal'tsit since there aren't any more hostiles in the area. As she was about to get her, she was getting shot at from the outside.
Ch'en looked by the window and saw about four Guerillas coming towards the apartment they were in. Ch'en quickly took out her M21 sniper rifle and killed three of them, but the last one had already went in.
However, Ch'en did not go down to confront him and instead places a claymore by the door beside them. Ch'en picks up Kal'tsit again as they walked out of the area to a room that was collapsed, but the debris leads them out of the apartment.
A few moments later, the audience could hear the distant sound of an explosion behind the apartment, implying that the Guerilla had activated the claymore and killed him.
"Sneaky move right there." Closure said.
"And less time consuming considered that they needed to hurry their pace to the extraction point." Kal'tsit remarked.
Ch'en and Kal'tsit continued their way to the extraction point. The latter then spoke up, "We're almost there. The extraction point is on the other side of that building." Ch'en looked ahead and saw the building she was talking about.
"Oh, it's an indoor swimming pool." Folinic stated.
"How can you tell that?" Bagpipe asked.
"The sign on the front. It says 'Azure swimming pool.'" She pointed out. "I'm from Ursus, remember?"
"Oh, right. Sorry."
"Say, didn't one of the Guerillas from the last mission said that some of the Luscinians lost a couple of men by mutated dogs in that swimming complex?" Hoshiguma chimed in.
"Hopefully we don't run into them." Ch'en said.
Ch'en entered the abandoned indoor swimming pool. She then took a right that leads her to the changing room before heading out towards the main swimming pool area.
The pool was pretty big accompanied with a diving board, but of course it wasn't consider a swimming pool anymore since all the water has been drained and the place hasn't been cleaned for a while.
As Ch'en was walking around the pool, she saw something by the deep part of the pool. There were about four wild mutated dogs that is currently eating on two corpses of the Luscinian mercenaries.
The dogs were tearing the corpse apart with pieces of flesh and guts spoiled around to the pool of blood formed from the corpses.
The audience let out various reactions, but they all were disgusted at the sight. It's not everyday they see a wild animal eating someone's corpse.
"So nasty..." Beagle grimaced while Kroos covered her eyes, shivering from the sight she was behold.
"I kinda feel bad for that guy." Dur-Nar said.
"One of the worst ways to go out." Ethan remarked with a wince.
"They even manage to rip an arm off." Vulcan pointed out.
"Those radiation sure made them strong." Hellagur commented.
"Why would stuff like these are even added?" Folinic queried. "The amount of gore presented is just traumatizing, and disgusting..."
Ch'en continued on and went out of the pool through an opening from the wall. What's infront of her lays an abandoned amusement park with the Ferris wheel that the audience saw in the intro.
"I'm guessing this is the LZ." Swire said.
"Good place to be one." Hoshiguma replied.
As Ch'en continued on, she sees two Guerillas infront of her. Though surprisingly, the two Guerillas turn back and ran away as soon as they spotted them.
Knowing that she couldn't leave any witnesses, Ch'en put Kal'tsit down before taking out her M21 and shot one of the scouts. Kal'tsit doing the same with the other.
"Target neutralized." She said.
"I'm assuming they were scouts?" Meteor asked.
"Yeah, and they probably ran to warn the others." Firewatch replied. "Good thing they killed them."
Ch'en picked the lynx back up again before proceeding to the amusement park. The center is filled with abandoned cars that could act as a temporary cover.
Just then, Big bird spoke up. "Alpha-Six, this is Big Bird. Standing by for your signal, over."
"Our helicopter is standing by at a safe distance." Kal'tsit informed. "Put me down behind the Ferris wheel where I can provide sniper support."
Looking at the Ferris wheel, Ch'en then went behind it where there is enough grass to blend in with their ghillie suits.
When she got behind the structure, Kal'tsit said "A bit farther to the north", indicating that this wasn't the place. But knowing what she meant, Ch'en moved further north at the corner of the small hill.
"This'll be fine." She declared. Ch'en put her back down safely on the grass. Kal'tsit steadied herself to a good position for sniper support. After that, she takes out her own claymores - which were about seven, and then handed over to Ch'en.
"She had claymores too?" Doctor asked before chuckling. "W would've want some of that."
"Thankfully she's not here." Kal'tsit mumbled.
"Take the rest of my claymores, now is the time to use them." Kal'tsit said, which Ch'en grabbed them immediately. "The enemy is bound to enter this area, so find a good sniping position. I'll signal the helicopter in a minute."
She then took off to place the claymores. By the center of the amusement park, she places them in designated spots that would be hard to see from the enemy. She placed a few near the cars, then she head over to the fence and place a good amount on the grass so it could camouflage with it.
As if that wasn't over, the audience could see Ch'en taking out a C4 detonator, which means that she was also carrying a good amount of C4 explosives.
"Wow, they really did came in prepared for this assassination." Dobermann complimented.
"And I appreciate the amount of explosives they're carrying." Sesa said with a smirk.
"It's them against a hundred enemies, so they'll be very useful on thinning the numbers." Vulcan affirmed.
Ch'en placed two of the C4s by the white fences, one by the front of the car, and the last one she placed on a set of chairs. With all the C4s out, she focused back on placing the claymores.
Knowing that they might come from the east of the Ferris wheel, she went over there by the bumper cars, placing about four claymores near the building.
Ch'en has about three claymores left, so she used it near the Ferris wheel for good measures. After placing it all down, she headed back to Kal'tsit just in time for her to activate the beacon for their extraction.
"Alright, I've activated the Beacon. Good luck."
Ch'en settled down beside her as she took prone - aiming her sniper rifle near the swimming pool.
"Alpha-Six. We have a fix on your position. Hang tight. Big Bird out." Big bird said.
"Wait, wouldn't that also mean the enemies are also going to know of their position?" Kroos asked.
"I think that was the point." Dobermann said. "Which is why she placed all of those C4s and Claymores all around the park. They are expecting an attack."
"How many are going to arrive?" Dur-Nar wondered.
"Probably a lot." Vulcan answered.
Ch'en and Kal'tsit waited for half a minute, the former still aiming near the swimming pool building. Just then, she sees about a group of Luscinians arriving near the building.
"Tangos in sight. Let them get closer. Standby to engage..." Kal'tsit said.
Ch'en waited as the Luscinians are getting closer and closer to the park, probably near to one of her claymores. As they are close enough, Kal'tsit asserts the order.
"Open fire."
Both Ch'en and Kal'tsit fired at the same time, managing to kill two of the mercenaries. The others quickly duck down to cover on the grass, hiding from their view.
"Well, atleast they are smart enough." Ch'en commented.
"It's not gonna last long, though." Swire said.
After a few moments, they rose back up only to have two more of them getting sniped by the Rhodes Islanders. Suddenly, Ch'en sees the dogs that were by the swimming pool joining into the fray.
Unexpectedly, the dogs went for the Luscinians and attacked them instead. The mercenaries tried to fight them off, but they were being overwhelmed.
Ch'en uses this opportunity to pick off the ones that weren't being attacked by the dogs.
Needless to say, the first wave was already dealt with.
"Did they really just got defeated by four dogs?" Spot said in disbelief from their performance.
"Well they got distracted by them." Steward pointed out
"And madam Ch'en was picking them off." Ansel added.
"Those dogs are also mutated as told by one of the Guerillas from the last mission." Yato chimed in.
"Still, though. They could've killed atleast two of them." Noir said. "Maybe the Guerillas were right. They are a bit incompetent.
Ch'en then sees the second wave coming. More Mercenaries have arrived, accompanied with a few Guerillas. The dogs tried to attack the second wave, but they got gunned down.
Ch'en and Kal'tsit continued firing on the incoming forces, the latter calling out of the kills she got. Ch'en noticed one of the Guerillas tried to flank, but was caught by an explosion from her claymore.
More squads of enemies from the two groups arrived as the two Rhodes Islanders tried their best to hold them off. Ch'en had to waste an entire mag in just seconds.
"They could've brought a machine gun with them." Blaze said.
"I agree." Sesa nodded.
"But it would expose their position much sooner." Firewatch argued.
"Hey, atleast it would benefit on holding off waves of enemies." the chainsaw-wielding Feline countered.
Some of the hostiles manage to pinpoint their location and fired their guns at them. Ch'en had to move away a bit to dodge the bullets, firing back at the enemies.
A Luscinian mercenary had made it to the center, but got killed by another well-placed claymore. The two manage to hold off another wave.
Just when they thought it was over, Kal'tsit suddenly shouts. "Enemy choppers inbound!"
Ch'en gazed to the sky as she sees about two helis heading towards the park.
"Oh c'mon! They can't catch a damn break, can they?" Closure exclaimed.
"They are really going all out to kill them..." Amiya muttered.
"But they are landing dangerously close into the firefight." Kal'tsit said.
"Well consider themselves lucky that Ch'en or Kal'tsit didn't have a more larger weapon capable of destroying the aircrafts." Folinic replied.
"That would be such a disadvantage." Doctor remarked. "Though I considered it impossible if a single person could take out a bunch of helicopters like that."
Ch'en could see the helicopters letting out the ropes, followed by Guerillas roping down into the fight. Ch'en manage to pick them off one by one from one of the helis until they were all killed.
However she didn't manage to take out the hostiles from the second helicopter as all of the five troops manage to reach the ground and took fire at their position. When that was happening, the third wave arrives with more Guerillas and Luscinians running towards the amusement park.
Ch'en had to switch her position and ran towards the Ferris wheel. She took refuge near the structure and continued firing on the enemy forces.
The audience then sees Ch'en taking out her detonator since the enemies were near the C4s she had placed. With a single click, all the C4s exploded - killing a good amount of the soldiers.
"Good kills. But they weren't enough." Greythroat said.
"And there are still many more..." Frostleaf replied.
Ch'en switch back to her M21 and continued to fire upon the incoming enemy forces. She dumped another mag on her sniper rifle, but they still kept coming. A few of them manage to get killed from her claymores, but it still wasn't enough.
It took a turn of the worse for them when three more helis arrived to the scene, dropping off more soldiers, adding that extra amount to the ones that are coming from all over the place.
"Just how many of them are there?!" Sesa exclaimed.
"Could be almost a hundred." Vulcan replied.
"They are getting outnumbered." Steward said.
"No fucking shit!" Franka exclaimed, spreading her arms.
"Big Bird, we are heavily outnumbered, where are you?!" Kal'tsit yelled, urging the evac to hurry up as she kept firing on the hostiles.
"Copy that Alpha, we'll be there ASAP. Hold tight." Big bird replied.
"Well they won't be once they're dead." Swire complained.
"Which they would not be since this is a flashback." Hoshiguma pointed out.
"Yeah, but still."
The Rhodes islanders kept defending their position. Ch'en then hears a few of her claymores exploding on her right. Knowing that the hostiles had reached her east, she switched to her AK-47 and headed to the direction.
Two Guerillas were running towards the Ferris wheel. Ch'en quickly dealt with them whist taking cover from the hostiles by the center. She then dispatched three Luscinians that were in the bumper car building.
She focused back to the center to deal with the main force. An idea popped in her mind and that involves using her frag grenades. She cooked one before throwing it to a group of enemies by a car.
When the grenade exploded, it also caused the car to explode, killing the enemies nearby. She threw two more grenades and killed about four enemies with it.
Most of the audience are getting tensed as MW Ch'en and Kal'tsit continued to defend themselves from hordes of enemies.
They see how Ch'en had wasted so many ammos on both of her weapons, yet the hostile forces still coming in great numbers.
"They're lucky that there aren't any of those heavy troopers." Bagpipe said.
"Or any RPG wielders." Amiya added.
Ch'en and Kal'tsit kept defending for a few minutes, which had felt like hours. Ch'en just finished dispatching another group of Guerillas with her grenade and taking down three Luscinians with her AK-47.
Just then, she hears a sound of another chopper. The audience think it was another heli, but they were proven wrong when a different, yet familiar helicopter arrived to the amusement park. It was a Chinook, albeit a smaller one.
The Lung girl then sees four Rhodes Island operatives dismounting the aircraft and firing at the Guerillas and Luscinians.
"Alpha Team, this is Big Bird. Get your ass on board, over." Big bird said.
"Finally." Amiya sighed in relief.
"Well, it's about damn time." Ch'en said.
Ch'en went back to Kal'tsit, not before firing a couple rounds to the enemies with her M21. She then picked her back up and headed towards the Chinook with two of the Rhodes Islanders covering her.
She arrived to the back of the chopper as she gently placed Kal'tsit on the seat. She turned back and switched to her AK to give covering fire. The four Rhodes Islanders then went into the aircraft one by one.
Some of the enemy forces appeared and tried to shoot them, but Ch'en quickly dealt with them before they even fired a shot. When the last operative made it in, the helicopter begin to take off.
The surviving Guerillas and Luscinians tried to shoot the helicopter down, but to no avail as the helicopter safely flew away from the amusement park and out of Chernobog.
The audience could then see the helicopter flying pass the hotel that the two were p, which the top floor is still on fire. The screen then fades to black, ending the mission.

"That was very suspenseful." Swire spoke up. "I can't believe Ch'en survived all of that."
"Goes to show how good she is." Hoshiguma complimented, earning a slight smile from the blue-haired lung girl.
"Indeed it was very intense, and I'm glad she got Kal'tsit out of there." Folinic said.
"Yeah, i was very worried when she got hit by that metal." Amiya replied. "I was almost certain she would've gotten killed."
"I thank Ch'en in this universe." Kal'tsit said. "Though, Mon3tr would've provided more help if Originium still existed in this world."
"But it also proves that you can take care of yourself." Closure remarked.
"You could've died back there, but you kept fighting and manage to escape with Ch'en." Doctor said. "That is very awesome of you." The masked leader then give her a thumbs up, which Kal'tsit did not expect, but appreciated it.
"I don't know how i would feel if i lost you, especially in any universe like this one." Amiya spoke up, scooting closer to the lynx.
"That goes the same to you." Doctor pointed out. "I don't want to see you die in this universe given that you're one of the main characters."
"Well, I am sure she can handle it herself like I did." Kal'tsit remarked, looking to the bunny girl with a slight smile.
"Of course she could." Ch'en joined in. "She had proven herself back in Lungmen and Chernobog against Reunion." Amiya smiled back at the two, thanking them for acknowledging her skills.
She is sure that she will live through this MW universe.
"Well with that out of the way." Blaze interjected. "The mission showed us of how Patriot lost an arm."
"I am impressed that he manage to survive the shot while losing loads of blood like that." Hellagur said.
"I'm more impressed of how that single bullet could tore someone's arm off that easily." Franka chimed in.
"Yeah, that sniper rifle very powerful." Dobermann agreed.
"I just wished they didn't left it, though." Greythroat said.
"You know this begs the question, how did Patriot live through that?" Bagpipe wondered.
"Like what Doctor had mentioned before. Someone must've gotten him out there in the nick of time and treated his injuries." Amiya claimed.
"And whoever the person is would get a huge promotion for it." Doctor added.
"I wonder who that will be?" Closure thoughted.
"Well it's not like it would matter, anyway. They won't give that much importance to the story." Swire responded.
"I agree with that." Beehunter replied.
Meanwhile Ch'en stayed silent as her mind focused back on those two figures by one of the jeeps. Then it hit her mind. Could they be the ones that saved Patriot?
Though Swire was probably right. Whoever those two were probably won't be that important to the story.
"All right, let's continue on to the next mission." Noir suggested, clapping his hands.
"Not without us, you won't." A voice said. Everyone turned to the voice and saw that it was Dylan, Barty, and Chard.
"Oh look, the three musketeers." Blaze smirked.
"Hey!" Barty exclaimed, taking offense from that.
"Well, good to see you three finally to join up." Noir said, smiling under the mask. "Though you just missed a lot of stuff where Ch'en had become the main character in her point of view."
"Eh, not really matter to us." Chard shrugged, though getting a narrowed look from Ch'en herself. "And besides, you can just explain to us what happened during those missions."
Dylan then sat beside Noir and Yato. Chard and Barty followed suit, sitting on the carpet floor.
"If you say so." Noir said before giving them a short explanation of the three missions in the second act, where they went to Kazimierz to take out Drudge, then to the flashbacks of how Ch'en took part in Patriot's assassination with Kal'tsit.
"I wonder what the next mission is gonna be?" Greythroat asked.
"I think it's gonna go back to the present. Ch'en and Kal'tsit did escape from Chernobog." Hoshiguma thoughted.
"Then that means that I'm gonna be there again!" Sesa smiled.
"And me too." Dobermann chimed in.
"I-I just hope you won't get hurt." Jessica said in a worried tone.
"Don't worry, Jessica. This is Dobermann we're talking about." Dur-Nar assured. "It's gonna take a lot to take her down."
After about five minutes, Doctor motionsto at Amiya to continue as she grabbed the remote and press the button, bringing them over to the next mission.

Another job well done for the Penguin Logistics.
They had successfully deliver tons of packages to their respective owners. Though there had to be some obstacles on their path, and that was dealing with some local gang members and remnants of the Sicilian gang.
Nevertheless, they dealt with them with ease and are now heading back to their hideout. With the exception of Bison since he had to meet up with his dad on some stuff regarding Mountain Dash Logistics.
And it wasn't just him. Emperor decide to not tag along with them as he is gonna check up on the Rat king with their own personal stuff. So, it's just gonna be the main four PL girls in the hideout.
The four girls were doing their usual stuff to kill their time. Texas lazily sat on a bean bag eating her box of chocolate pockys, Sora was checking up on her stuff, Exusiai was tinkering with her Vector, while Croissant sat in the middle - looking very very bored.
Croissant let out a groan. "I'm so bored!"
"Then do what you like to do." Texas bluntly replied.
"I've already did! And now i'm back at square one."
"Do you ever considered singing?" Sora suggested.
"Eh, sounds lame." Croissant refused, causing the Idol singer to frown.
"Well what do you want to do?" Exusiai asked, finishing inspecting her gun.
"Hmm..." Croissant trailed off for a moment before she set her eyes on the tape that was on a cardboard box beside the TV, the same tape where they watched that MW alternate universe. "Do you guys want to...continue watching that Modern Warfare thing again?"
The three girls stopped and glanced at the forte girl with a concerned expression. It has been two days since the last time they watched this Modern Warfare alternate universe, and that is where the Yanese marines got killed by a nuke that was set off in Drudge's city.
That scene really kept a mark on their minds due to how destructive it was. After that day, they wanted took a break from watching it.
Croissant acknowledged their faces, nervously rubbing her shoulder. "W-Well, we don't have to watch it. I understand what you're thinking and-"
"Let's do it."
The trio turned to Texas with surprised looks, not expecting a response from her, even though she was as shocked as the rest from that nuclear scene. Top it all off, Texas doesn't seem to mind of it as she kept a blank face.
"Are you serious?" Sora asked.
She simply shrugged. "Well we have nothing to do, and without Bison or the boss around here, it gets a bit lonely at times. We might as well continue to watch this MW trilogy to pass the time."
"But you saw what we witnessed right? With the whole nuclear thing? It was damn traumatizing." Exusiai said.
"It was, but that's in the past now. Besides, I still want to know if we're going to have a role in the story."
The red-haired Sankta's eyes piqued after her remark. "Count me in, then!"
"Sora?" Croissant queried, waiting for her response.
"Well...if you three are joining in, then i'll join too." She answered.
"Don't forget about me."
The four Penguin Logistics members all turned to the entrance of the hideout and saw a blue-haired woman standing by the doorway with a smile.
"Mostima?!" Exusiai yelled out in shock.
"Hey, girls." Mostima greeted, walking up to them.
"How long have you been standing there?" Texas asked.
"Long enough to know that you girls has this tape that is something about 'Modern warfare'. And you said you guys would play a role there, if I'm correct?"
"Y-yeah, that's right. We were just about to watch it." Croissant said.
"Well count me in on the fun." She replied. "Besides, you four won't be lonely anymore with me around. Do you agree, Exu?" She shot a smirk at the red-haired sankta.
"Heh, y-yeah...right." She replied, hiding a little blush on her face.
"Okay, I'll set up the tapes and ya'll set up the snacks!" Croissant head over to the tv, picking up the tape of the MW universe along with the tape player. Sora and Exusiai went into the fridge or the pantry, while Texas and Mostima waited.
Mostima then asked the Lupo. "So can you tell me more about this MW universe?"
"Long or short?" She asked back.
Mostima shrugged. "Depends."
"Alright." Texas swallowed her last pocky stick as she gives her a brief summary of the prologue and the first act. The further the explanation went, the more intrigued Mostima is. She is eager to watch this MW universe now.

"You know we are not going anywhere if you're taking this long!" D complained.
Nian and D were still at the small town in Sargon as the former kept looking at the nearby shops around the town, looking at the variety of souvenirs, much to D's annoyance.
He wanted to explore all of Terra, yet here he is still in the town for about an hour because of Nian's curiosity.
"Oh, just be patience, man. It'll be quick." Nian assured.
"Right, that's what you said about ten minutes ago." He quipped.
"Look if you're being this impatient, then just wait outside, alright? I will catch up." Rolling his eyes, D walked out of the store and wait.
As he waited, a notification popped up from his wristband computer. He checked it out and noticed that it was a message from one of his watcher pals - H
H: Yo, D! How are you doing? You busy?
It reads. D replied back to her.
Doing alright. And yes, I sorta am busy.
Just gonna go for a stroll across the World with Nian.
H: I see. I too am busy with my own personal stuff.
Still in the Boiling Isles, I'm guessing?
H: Yes siree.
Well, I gotta go now. Lilith is waiting up for me.
Take care, bro!
Yeah, you too.
D exhaled as he tried to pass the time again. This time by observing the people passing by doing their daily lives.
He had to admit, this was a pretty nice town. He didn't expect something like this to exist in Sargon, but who's to blame? The game hadn't shown much of Sargon, anyway.
While he was gazing at the passing townsfolk, something caught his eyes.
There he saw a Pythian family of four walking on the road. A father, mother, and two daughters. One being in her teens, while the other was a child that looks like she learned how to walk.
The child tried to catch up with her family until she stumbled upon a rock, which sends her falling to the ground. The girl started weeping, getting her family's attention as they quickly went to help her.
The father picked her up before calming her down along with the sister, while the mother checked for any injuries. The girl eventually calm down and stopped crying.
The three family members gave her a smile before the sister does some funny faces at her, which cause her to laugh, bringing her happy mood back. In return, it brings the smiles from the three's faces as they continued on.
D watched the entire thing with a feeling of envy. They look like such a happy family, always willing to look out for one another. Just like his old family....
He begin to frown under his balaclava while a sad look formed on his eyes and under those shades. He was very spaced out till he couldn't hear a voice calling out to him before the third shout,
"D!"
D jumped whilst shaking his head. He turned to his right to see Nian standing there. She was holding a bag full of those souvenirs while gazing at the watcher with a confused look.
She asked, "Are you okay? You've been standing there being awfully quite for about a minute."
"I-It was nothing!" D said. "I was just...thinking about something."
"Oh, well what is it?"
"Does it that matter to you?" D asked back.
"Maybe." Nian smirked.
"Well, it's nothing important, anyway." D responded before focusing on the actual topic. "Are you finally done?"
"Yep, i got what i need thanks to the money you lend." Nian said as she showed him the bag that is filled with the souvenirs. "They really got some cool looking stuff."
"We can check it out on the go." D suggests. "Now come on, I want to get out of this town."
"Alright alright, let's go."
The two begin to head their way out of the town. As they did, D had to stop for a moment and look back to the happy Pythian family, still on his sight.
He let out a sigh before catching up to Nian.

A message to future readers: Do NOT skip the interludes. They are vital to this story. It would also learn more about D.
Looks like Mostima is now joining in on the fun to react to the MW universe. There will still be more characters to be added.
Anyways, I hope you liked this chapter and all the stuff that was in it, like the idea of having two enemy groups after Ch'en and Kal'tsit
Now the next chapter is gonna be an interesting one, I say. And that's because someone is gonna die~
See you in "Heat".
