Crew expendable
I can't believe this fic got over 1k reads already.
_____________________________
The screen starts off with the same Rhodes island emblem popping up, only this time there was the codename "Amiya" under it.
The satellite highlights the country of Victoria with Amiya's inscription showing, before it moves around the globe of this alternate Terra until it scans to somewhere in the middle of a sea between the territories of Ursus and Bolivar.
"I still cannot believe that this whole world is only the known locations of our Terra." Kal'tsit said.
"Well, it does makes sense. We still don't know what lies in the North and South of us." Doctor said.
"Bravo team, the intel on this Op comes from our informant in Ursus." Ch'en said as the satellite zooms in of what looks to be a big cargo ship sailing across the sea. The size of the ship got some reactions from the Audience.
"So that is the Cargo ship, eh?" Noir corne said.
"Look at the size of the thing." Blaze pointed out. "How big is it?"
"Probably not as big as our landship." Vulcan stated.
"Big ship..." Popukar trailed off.
The satellite then starts to scan the cargo ship as Ch'en continued. "The package is aboard a medium freighter. Samian registration number 52775." It then highlights some red dots that were all over the ship, which the Audience think that they might be the enemies. "There is a small crew and a security detail on board."
"Rules of engagement, sir?" Bagpipe asked.
"Crew expendable." Ch'en answered as the Satellite then scans at a helicopter approaching the Cargo ship with some inscription appearing.
"Amiya"
22nd Rhodes Island
"The Bering strait"
Day 1 - 1:23:32
The operators were surprised of how small the helicopter is compared to the giant ship. They also have some mixed questions.
"Bering strait? Never heard of it before." Greythroat said. "What even is a Bering?"
"I wonder if those red guys are really our enemies?" Sesa questioned.
"They have to be, otherwise why would Ch'en and the others are raiding the ship and not just ask them?" Fang said.
"I wonder who will be this 'informant' that Ch'en mentioned?" Bagpipe said.
"She did say that the informant is from Ursus. So i think they might be you, Ms. Folinic." Amiya said turning to the feline mongoose, knowing the fact that she was born in the country.
Folinic thought about it, putting a hand on her bottom jaw. "Maybe."
Just then they all heard a voice shouting out behind them. "Ey, what's going on here?"
They all turned around to see Chard and Vanilla standing there.
"Chard?" Doctor, Noir corne and Kal'tsit said in unison
"Vanilla?" Franka and Liskarm said, also in unison
"Back so soon from your mission?" Doctor asked.
Vanilla nodded, albeit looking a little sad. "Yes. We dealt with the Originium slug problem in the village."
"Let's just say it ended with a 'boom!'." Chard yelled out, though Vanilla then glared at him, prompting the sniper to clear his throat. "So anyways, what are ya'll doing?"
"Nian gave us this cassette that features an alternate terra, dubbed the "Modern warfare" universe. We decide to watch it since it has our alternate selves in it." Noir explained.
"Oooh." Chard said, intrigued. "Does it have me in it?"
Yato nodded. "Yep. You were in the first mission before."
"Well i'm in!" Chard exclaimed before heading over to them. Though Vanilla didn't follow him, still having a sad expression.
"I'm just gonna go to my room." Vanilla said before leaving the area. Franka and Liskarm looked concerned of their Blacksteel member.
Chard then went over next to Noir and sat down on the floor.
"Well, now that we have an extra member, let's continue." Amiya declared and was about to unpause the tv.
Though she stopped when Liskarm spoke out. "Actually, i'm gonna go check on Vanilla."
"Yeah, me too." Franka joined in.
"Actually, Franka. You should stay. Let me handle it." Liskarm intervened.
"What, why?"
"Well i don't want to miss out of what this universe has to offer. I'm intrigued as you are in it, but i also don't want to leave our team in such a state we don't know of." Liskarm said, referring to Vanilla's sad state after returning from her mission. "So please stay here and take over, okay?"
Franka's ears drooped a little before sighing. "Alright, i'll stay."
"Good. Take care, everyone. I'll be back." Liskarm then walk away and leave to Vanilla's room.
Seeing that no one else is leaving, Amiya continued the video.
The screen then pans to the chopper into the perspective of Amiya. Ch'en was seen infront of her with full gear and a gas mask on her forehead while she was smoking. Nothing to weird for present Ch'en since she smoked sometimes.
Right beside her was Chard sitting by one of the edges of the helicopter.
"Ah, that's me, ey?" Chard said with excitement.
"Sure is. Looks like you'll also be part of the operation." Noir stated.
"Who else is in the operation too?" Chard asked.
That was answered when Amiya turn to her left to see Bagpipe, Seige, and Indra. The latter sitting by the edge of the chopper just like Chard. They were all wearing gas masks or Balaclavas, unabling the audience to see their faces.
"Ah, right then." Chard acknowledged.
A familiar voice from the pilot seat of the Helicopter spoke. "Baseplate, this is Hammer Two-Four. We have visual on the target. E.T.A sixty seconds."
"Dylan?" Blaze said.
"He's here too?" Chard exclaimed. "That is awesome!"
"Makes sense. He is the pilot after all." Doctor said.
A female voice then replied. "Copy two-four." Though the voice was a bit ambiguous because of a storm that is happening that the Audience couldn't tell who that was.
Through the storm and the clouds, the Audience is able to see the cargo ship coming into view. Its spotlights also stand out. They can see of how large the ship was as the helicopter felt smaller when it gets closer.
"Thirty seconds. Going dark." Dylan said as the chopper flew by the ship, thankfully unnoticed cus of the storm.
"I'm surprised we didn't get caught yet." Chard said.
"I think it's because the storm draws out the noise coming from the chopper, blending it in." Vulcan stated.
"Same goes for the color." Spot pointed out. "With it being black, it totally blends in with the night sky going on."
When the chopper flew by the ship, Ch'en leans closer to get a better look whilst still holding the cigar on her mouth.
"Ten seconds. Radio check. Go to secure channel." Dylan informed the team to get ready as the chopper is getting to its designated spot - by the front of the ship.
Hearing this, Ch'en toss her cigar away and put on her gas mask, which prompts Amiya to do the same. The view came to a halt as Amiya had now put on her gas mask, the screen now having its corners and top part covered in black.
"Lock and Load." Ch'en informed as Amiya is now preparing her suppressed MP5, undoing the safety.
As the Helicopter made it to the bridge, a red light lit up the area. "Green light! Go go go!" Dylan instructed.
"What? That's definitely a red light." Blaze commented.
"Heh, didn't know our pilot boy is colour blind." Noir said, earning a chuckle from a few of the audience, Doctor included.
Hearing what he said, Ch'en patted at Chard to let go of the rope he was holding onto the deck. After that, he rappel down with Ch'en and Amiya following him.
The three of them soon touched the ground as they encountered four ursine men by the control panel.
"Weapons free." Ch'en declared. The men didn't had time to react as the Rhodes islanders shoot their guns. Bullets penetrating and breaking the glass as the men were then shot down dead, Amiya managing to kill two of them.
"That was some entrance." Dobermann commented.
"Bridge secured." Chard stated as the trio then head over to the door.
"Bagpipe - stay in the bird till we secure the deck, over." Ch'en said.
"Roger that." Bagpipe replied.
Chard then unlocked the door followed by Ch'en kicking it open.
"That wasn't really necessary..." Spot said about that kick.
"Agreed. But i gotta admit that was some great strength, Ch'en." Amiya said.
Ch'en shrugged. "A simple door is nothing to what i am capable of."
Ch'en, Amiya, and Chard then went in the room. "Squad on me." The former said. The Audience then noticed that the interior looked similar to the training area from the last mission.
"Hey, the inside looks exactly like the one from the training area." Kroos said.
"You sure have keen eyes, bun-bun." Sesa complimented, making Kroos' cheeks light up as she rubbed the back of his neck.
Lava and Fang glanced at them in confusion before focusing back on the TV.
The trio then move down to the stairs, which in the training version there was an enemy, but there were no sights of hostiles.
"Stairs clear." Ch'en said as they move up left into a hallway.
Then one of the crew members walked out of the room with a bottle of alcohol on his hand. Some of the operators could tell that he had been drinking.
"Drink to your health, colonel!~" the man drunkly said in Ursine, which Kal'tsit and Folinic can understand clearly.
He then turned towards the Rhodes islanders as he offers his bottle to them, completely unaware that they were his enemy.
Ch'en and Amiya fired at him as a response.
"Picture him as you, Chard." Noir said.
"What do you mean by that?" Chard asked.
"You should not drink too much or else you might end up like that guy." He lectured, knowing that Chard has a drinking problem or an addiction to alcoholic drinks ever since his wife left him.
He scoffed. "Please. I can control myself just fine."
"You were very drunk that one time when the Doctor's infront of you." Yato said.
"Okay, fine. Not always."
"And that one time you got too drunk that you started singing and then wailing for your wife's name in the bathroom stalls." Doctor said.
"What?! W-who told you that!?" Chard demanded.
"Noir." Doctor simply said as Noir let out a chuckle. Chard groaned and slumped behind a chair.
"I hate you guys, sometimes..."
"Hallway clear." Ch'en said. Chard and Amiya then move into the room that the drunken man was in and saw two of his comrades sleeping peacefully by their beds.
Amiya and Chard then shoot them down so they won't cause them any trouble in their mission.
"Sleep tight." Chard said.
"Oof, getting killed in your sleep. That's an unfair way to go." Franka said.
"Crew quarters clear. Move up." Ch'en said heading outside with Chard and Amiya behind her. The audience could see that the ship's surroundings were almost pitch black with the ocean waves crashing on to the ship.
"Is this what it looks like in the middle of the ocean?" Blaze shivered at the sight.
"Feels so." Kal'tsit said.
"It looks terrifying." Bagpipe said. She never knew being in the ocean can be that scary.
Kal'tsit wondered if this what it would feel like in the oceans of Iberia. It was a good thing that seaborns doesn't exist in this world, otherwise the ship and the crew would be overwhelmed and killed by those creatures.
"Forward deck is clear! Green light on alpha, go!" Dylan instructed. Ch'en, Amiya, and Chard then went down to the body of the ship as they see Bagpipe, Siege, and Indra rappelling down from the helicopter.
The squad then regrouped. "Ready, sir." Bagpipe said.
Ch'en give her a nod. "Fan out, three meter spread." The squad spread out to cover the entire ship for any possible hostiles. Ch'en with Chard to the right, Bagpipe with Indra in the middle, and Amiya with Siege on the left.
Amiya move up behind the Victorian aslan as they move up forward, checking any corners for hostiles. As the squad came up to the middle, there were two guards on patrol.
"Got two on the platform." Bagpipe said.
"I see em'" Ch'en said.
The squad slowly approaches the two guards without being seen thanks to their black uniforms blending in with the shadows.
When they got close, Ch'en instructed. "Weapons free." The guards were quickly dispatched by Siege and Indra
"Tango down/Target neutralized." Both Siege and Indra said.
"I'm still impressed we still didn't get caught." Chard said. "It's probably gonna be all stealth here."
The squad then move up to the end of the ship, with some of the Audience like Chard thinking they may do this unnoticed.
However, as the Rhode islanders approached the back deck, the remaining top guards appeared from the windows with their weapons firing at them.
"Oh..." Chard dismayed as Noir laughed.
"You jinxed it." He said.
"We got company." Bagpipe said as she returned fire at the guards. Amiya took cover behind one of the containers and fired aswell.
She managed to kill one of them but was then forced to take cover again. The Rhodes islanders tried to fire back, but the guards have the higher ground as their advantage.
"Hammer Two-Four, we got tangos on the 2nd floor." Ch'en stated to the chopper.
"Copy, engaging." Dylan replied as he lowered the chopper near the guards. Then he used the chopper's minigun to spray the guards at the windows. The audience watched in amazement from the sheer power of that gun.
"So deadly." Greythroat said.
"I heard plume said that some higher ups in Laterano also have access to this." Fang said.
"I want it..." Popukar said, wanting a minigun like that.
"No." Spot interjected, knowing that if she were to have a minigun, the chaos followed with it will be in the extreme than the Chainsaw.
Dylan continued firing at the guards and whatever he did to the right side of the deck caused it to explode, launching the last guard into the ground. Nevertheless, all of the top guards were killed.
"Bravo Six, Hammer is at bingo fuel. We're buggin out." Dylan informed. "Big Bird will be on station for evac in ten."
"Copy, Hammer. Siege, Indra, cover our six. The rest of you, on me." Ch'en instructed.
"Roger that." Bagpipe said.
The chopper was seen leaving the ship as the squad move up into the deck.
"Aw, why did he have to leave so soon?" Blaze asked.
"Well he did said the chopper is at bingo fuel, which means it reaches the limit where it shouldn't fly." Vulcan said.
"Besides, it looks like they are about to go into the ship, so the chopper isn't needed." Bagpipe pointed out.
"Let's see how i'm gonna perform in this." Chard said in excitement seeing is MW self going with the trio.
Amiya followed Bagpipe, Ch'en, and Chard to one of the doors as Siege and Indra stayed behind them.
The four then stacked up, but before they were about to go in, Bagpipe pulls out a shotgun on her back.
"I like to keep this for close encounters." Bagpipe said to Chard with a smile under her gas mask as she pumped it.
"Too right, mate." Chard snickered.
"Seems like a good choice of firearm." Dobermann noted at the shotgun.
"I wonder how it would perform?" Kroos asked.
Ch'en then head over to the wheel to unlock the door. "On my mark - go!" She then opened it allowing Bagpipe and Chard to enter first. Amiya stook behind Ch'en.
"Check those corners!" Ch'en informed. When they entered, there were no signs of hostiles, yet. "Move. Check those corners!" Ch'en recited.
"Uh, yeah. They know that already, don't need to say it twice." Franka commented.
"For good measure, it is important to check any nook and cranny for possible hiding spots occupied by the enemy." Folinic stated. Ch'en, Dobermann, Spot, Doctor, Amiya, and Kal'tsit seems to agree with it.
The top floor seems to be clear of enemies.
"Clear left." Chard said.
"Clear right." Bagpipe added.
"Hallway clear. Move up!" Ch'en declared as they move up to another set of stairs. Chard went first and checked that the stairs had no hostiles.
"Clear right." Chard said.
"Stairs clear!" Ch'en declared.
Amiya followed with Chard as they head down the stairs to the lower levels. "Movement right." Chard said.
The audience didn't know what that meant. As Amiya and Chard went right, they were under fire by four of the crew members.
"I guess they know of their presence." Rangers said.
"Consider the fact that they heard loud gunfire and an explosion at the top, i would be surprise if they ignored it." Yato said.
The four enemies were easy picking as the squad took them down without any difficulties. "Tango down." Bagpipe said.
"Hallway clear!" Ch'en declared again before saying, "Check those corners!"
"Is she gonna say that all the time?" Lava said, albeit annoyed.
"Better safe than sorry." Fang replied.
Chard took point and then check the left corner of the hallway. "Clear left." He said.
"Move up!" Ch'en said. The squad then went left and then stack up to the door that leads to more of the shipments inside.
"Ready, sir." Bagpipe said.
"Standby, on my go." Ch'en ordered.
"Standing by." Chard said as he then took a peek inside for any hostiles. Bullets were then fired at him, but thankfully they all missed as he retracted his head back to cover.
"Whew." Chard breathed in relief from that near death experience. "That was a close one."
Ch'en then took out a flashbang and toss it into the room. "Flashbang out!" The flash grenade then exploded, presumably blinding the enemies and stopped them from firing.
"Go!" Ch'en exclaimed as the squad went in the large cargo room. Chard took point as he opened fire at the blinded guards while descending from the catwalk stairs, all while Ch'en, Bagpipe, and Amiya were giving him cover fire.
The audience can see the Vouivre firing her shotgun to the enemies, taking them out in just one shot to knock em back.
"Sure is strange to see combat where everyone are now using firearms." Yato stated.
"Not that different if all were bows." Rangers said, but agreed with her statement. "But yeah, it is still different and very strange."
"Well atleast it is better then charging head straight to the enemy with a sword and no protection." Vulcan stated.
"To that defense, the enemy could have that same of a weapon." Fang said.
"It is still poor tactics." Dobermann said.
"Agreed." Ch'en chimed in.
After the short firefight, the squad took care of the enemies. "Catwalk clear." Chard said, moving down to the area while checking. "Gotcha covered, move up."
Ch'en, Bagpipe, and Amiya then climb down the set of stairs into the main area.
"Squad on me." Ch'en said as they proceed deep into the main shipment area. There were many spots that can fit for an ambush by the enemy, so the squad had to proceed with caution, checking every corners - nook and crannies.
"No tangos in sight." Chard stated after looking around.
"Forward area clear." Bagpipe stated from her spot.
"Move up - keep it tight." Ch'en instructed as the squad slowly move forward while on a lookout for any incoming hostiles. Some of the operators from the audience became a bit paranoid from the lack of combat, knowing that an enemy will sprung up.
"This is getting quiet." Chard said. "Too quiet..."
"This is how it feels in a close environment combat situation." Dobermann stated, having a fair share of experience like these during the bolivar war.
"I have a feeling that someone's gonna jump on Amiya.." Franka said.
Ch'en then leaned beside one of the containers as Amiya take point, weapon in ready.
"RRAAHH!!!" Suddenly one of the crew members appeared infront of Amiya as he tried to kill her with a desert eagle.
Thankfully, Amiya managed to kill him, but boy did his scream gave the audience a scare. Most jumped from it, but a few let out a slight shriek.
"Holy crap, i did not expect that." Sesa said, his hand on his heart after he jumped.
"I called it!" Franka exclaimed. "I so called it!"
"Did he really have to do that!?" Bagpipe said angrily because she got scared.
"I have to admit, he had the perfect spot for an ambush like that." Dobermann said. "But it appears that Amiya has a faster reaction time." Amiya smiled at that.
"That, or the guy was dumb enough to scream out loud while trying to ambush her." Ch'en said.
"Probably both." Spot said while comforting Popukar after she got jumpscared from that hostile.
Even the Doctor and Kal'tsit jumped a little from that ambush attempt. They even acknowledged it.
"Bagpipe, right side." Ch'en ordered as she was seen passing by Amiya - the latter stayed still for a moment after that jumpscare, until she went back to her senses and followed the squad.
"I'm on it." Bagpipe did what she was told and checked the other side. Eventually the area was already clear of hostiles.
The squad then stack up to another door. "Stack up." Ch'en ordered. She and Bagpipe stacked up to the door with Amiya and Chard behind them.
"Ready, sir." Bagpipe said, prompting Ch'en to kick the door wide open.
"Go!" Ch'en said as Bagpipe and Chard went in first.
"Hey aren't those wheels suppose to unlock the door?" Chard asked. "How the hell can she kick it open so easy?"
"Maybe it was already unlocked. But i'll imagine that was just the pure strength from Madam Ch'en." Noir said.
"Appreciate the comment." The Lungmen girl said.
"Clear left." Bagpipe said.
"Move." Ch'en ordered.
The squad then move in, seeing that the door led them to another catwalk. With the right side blocked by the shipments, the squad were forced to take the catwalk.
"Movement right." Bagpipe said as another firefight occured. The enemies were by the opposite catwalk.
The Rhode islanders fired back while cautiously move across the catwalk. They miraculously did not get hit by the enemy while the latter are being picked on one by one.
Amiya managed to kill one of them with a few shots to the head when he was targeting at Ch'en.
"Protecting the captain. Swell work." Dobermann commented.
The squad successfully took down all of the hostiles by the catwalk, however they were still a few more at the bottom.
They then went down another set of stairs by the other side as they engage the remaining hostiles.
Amiya saw that two of them were quickly dealt with by Bagpipe with her shotgun.
Sesa whistled. "Strong gun."
"They are more efficient in short distances than long ones." Vulcan stated.
Amiya then saw the last enemy hiding behind some barrels. With an accurate shot, she took him out between the gaps of the barrels.
"Now that was a nice shot." Greythroat commented.
"Forward area clear." Chard stated as there were no more enemies in this section. The squad then move up to another door that leads to the next section.
"Stack up." Ch'en said.
Though the door was already open, which allowed the enemies to suppress fire from their position. Bagpipe and Chard stacked up to the door first.
"One ready." Bagpipe said.
"Two ready." Chard followed.
Ch'en then stack up to the door as she took out another flashbang.
"Ah, she's gonna do the flash thing again." Popukar said.
"On my mark..." Ch'en then threw the flashbang into the room as it then exploded, blinding the enemies. "Go!"
They all entered the room and shot down all the blinded hostiles. Though there were still more in this area.
Amiya took cover by a nearby crate and fired her MP5 to two of the crew members. She took them down with ease, but when she turned to her left, she got hit by a stray bullet. It caused a red mark to appear.
"Oh no, she got hit!" Blaze exclaimed.
"Don't worry, i think she's fine." Doctor said. "Besides, a bullet can't stop her that easily."
Amiya smiled and blushed a bit from that compliment.
"And by the looks of it, those red things begin to fade away." Vulcan said looking at the screen. Like she just told, the red marks slowly vanishes and Amiya seems ok now.
"Uh...how is that even possible?" Dobermann asked.
"Eh, video game mechanic." Spot simply responded.
After recovering from that shot, Amiya saw that there were atleast three enemies by the center of the area. By the looks of it, her comrades were busy with the other hostiles or are pinned down by them.
Then she thought of an idea, and that involves using her grenades. She took out one of her frag grenades and threw it to the group of hostiles.
Before they even manage to flee from it, Amiya quickly threw her flashbang, since she knows that they have a shorter time to activate than a grenade.
Like she expected, the flash bang went out first, blinding the enemies. Then after a short period of time, the frag grenade finally explodes, killing the group.
"Haha, nice one!" Sesa exclaimed while standing up. "Great way of using those nades!"
"That was a pretty smart attempt." Bagpipe said.
A few enemies were by the catwalk. Amiya and Chard shift their aim to them while Ch'en and Bagpipe went for the ground enemies.
Amiya then encountered two more enemies. She fired her MP5 and successfully killed one of them while the other hid himself behind a crate. What Amiya did not realize that she had wasted a mag on the enemies, and when she tried to shoot at the second enemy, her gun clicked.
Knowing that she was out, the crewman gets out of his cover to take her down. However, Amiya quickly switched to her silenced USP 45 and shot the man three times.
"Switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading." Amiya said.
"Glad she followed my alt self's advice." Bagpipe said.
"I couldn't imagine a lot of players not following that advice and decide to switch their sidearm to another primary." Ch'en said.
Though they met mild resistance in this area, the Rhodes islanders managed to took them all out with no casualties.
"Report - all clear?" Ch'en asked.
"Roger that." Bagpipe answered. Though it wasn't a clear answer, atleast Ch'en knows that all the hostiles here were killed.
The squad then checked for anything in this are until the orange-haired vouivre spoke up. "I'm getting a strong reading, sir. You might want to take a look at this."
"What does she mean by strong reading?" Chard asked.
"No idea." Noir said, same goes to the other ops.
Amiya and the others regrouped with Bagpipe who was by one of the containers, curious of what she meant.
Then she opened the container, revealing a white medium-sized crate accompanied with a Sargonian emblem behind it. The front of the white crate has a trefoil symbol that was in black and yellow.
"Sargon?" Spot spoked seeing the emblem of his home country.
"So they are shipping whatever in that container to that place. I wonder why?" Sesa asked.
"Whatever it is, it must be what they're after." Chard said.
"Hm, it's in Sargonian." Ch'en stated. She then went to her radio. "Baseplate, this is Bravo Six. We've found it. Ready to secure package for transport."
The same female voice from earlier spoke again, but this time it is much clearer. "No time, Bravo Six. Two bogies headed your way fast. Grab what you can and get the hell outta there."
Since the voice was clear, most of the audience realized who that voice was.
"Closure?" Amiya, Kal'tsit, and Doctor said in unison.
"Ms. Closure is baseplate?" Folinic asked.
"I never expect her to be in that position." Ch'en said.
"Well she is one of the head leaders of Rhodes island." Amiya said.
"Why Closure though? Should've been the Doctor or Dr. Kal'tsit." Folinic said.
"Fast movers. Probably MiGs. We'd better go." Bagpipe said.
Ch'en nodded in agreement before turning to Amiya. "Amiya, grab the manifest on the container. Move."
Amiya head inside the container and grabbed the clipboard which contains the manifest.
"So they're not gonna take the whole thing then?" Chard asked.
"Baseplate, or Closure, said that 'bogies' are heading towards the ship. Whatever that means." Vulcan said.
"I said that they're MiGs." Bagpipe recited of what her alternate self mentioned. "But what even is that?"
"Didn't she also said they were fast-movers?" Noir said. "Does that mean they were those fast aircrafts we saw back in the training field?"
"The what now?" Chard raised his eyebrow but was ignored.
"So...these 'MiGs' are one of those fast-moving aircrafts and they are heading towards the ship." Amiya interpreted. "Wait, but how are they gonna land?"
"They can't." Kal'tsit said. "If these MiGs share the same airspeed velocity of those fast aircrafts we saw in the last mission, it would be impossible for them to get a direct landing on a cargo ship. And also the weather would give them difficulties."
"Then what are they going to do to the ship?" Popukar asked.
"Hmm, do you think those MiGs have weapons? It is possible for an aircraft to have those." Sesa said.
"You might be right." Amiya said. "But what sort of weapon an aircraft like that would have?"
"Homing missiles?" Doctor said.
The operators think about that answer, then they paused. Missiles do fly very fast when launched, and it probably shares the same airspeed velocity as those fast aircrafts.
If the MiGs do have homing missiles as their weapons, then that means...
"Oh no..." Blaze said, knowing what's gonna happen to the ship.
"Alright - Everyone topside! Double time!" Ch'en said. The squad begin to head out to the top. They move up to the previous room as Ch'en asked to the radio. "Siege, Indra, what's your status?"
"Already in the helicopter sir. Enemy aircraft inbound." Siege said. "Shit! They've opened-"
Her feed was cut off when an explosion erupts at a part of the ship infront of the squad, knocking them to the ground.
All the operators jumped from that sudden explosion. Whatever caused must've come from those MiGs with their missiles.
That was the reason why the MiGs were heading over to the ship. To destroy it.
"Bravo Six! Come in! Bravo Six, what's your status?" asked the Big bird pilot, which did not sounded like Dylan.
"Shit! What the hell happened?!" Chard shouted.
"An explosion happened, that's what it is!" Chard shouted to his alternate self.
The audience then saw that the ship is now tilted as water begin to flow in to the room. That means that it is gonna sink.
Amiya then turned to Bagpipe. "The ship's sinking! We've got to go, now!" Bagpipe said, shaking Amiya's shoulder before getting back up to her feet.
"Oh no, this is getting bad." Franka said.
"No shit." Noir said.
"Bravo Six, come in, damn it!" Big bird called out.
Ch'en got back up and answered. "Big Bird, this is Bravo Six we're on our way out!" She then turned to Amiya and help her up. "On your feet, soldier! We are leaving!"
The squad then rushed to the catwalks. The audience saw that Amiya is now unarmed, implying that she left her weapon.
"Won't she need her weapon?" Kroos asked.
"If you're trying to escape in a sinking ship, you better drop something that weighs you a lot." Lava said. "Guns being one of them."
"Get to the catwalks! Move move move!" Ch'en shouted.
"Move your asses! Come on, let's go!" Bagpipe shouted as they all begin to climb up the stairs with Chard in the lead.
The audience thought they were safe in higher ground, but then water starts to burst in from the side, causing them to lose balance.
"Back on your feet! Let's go!" Ch'en shouted.
Some of the operators felt very tensed of what is happening. Popukar was one of them.
Seeing the four trying to escape the sinking ship cause her to shake that she had to be held tight by Spot.
"A-are they going to make it?" Popukar asked concernly.
"They have to. If they die, then this whole thing would be over." Ch'en said.
"Besides, i can feel my adrenaline rushing through my veins watching this." Franka said with a smile.
"Watch your head!" Chard shouted as parts of the compartment begin to fell out on top of the squad.
"Go! Go! Keep moving!" Bagpipe shouted.
Suddenly another wave of water burst into the ship. This causes the catwalk to come loose.
"Oh this can't get any worse!" Noir exclaimed.
"It's breakin' away!" Bagpipe shouted.
"Come on, come on!" Ch'en urged as she, Chard, and Bagpipe made it out from the catwalk. Amiya was last as she briefly saw the room turning red. She then hop over to the door just as the catwalk broke behind her.
"That was close." Popukar said.
"Well it is not over yet." Spot said. "They still need to get to the helicopter."
"Hope they're quick enough and not drown." Doctor said.
"We won't." Amiya shook her head, determined that the squad will get out in time.
As they entered the hallway, the pipes begin to burst and fall out. "Watch the pipes!" Bagpipe shouted.
The squad continued on to their path out, which the audience recognized of where they had entered.
"Talk to me Bravo Six, where the hell are you?!" Big bird asked.
"Stand by. We're almost there!" Ch'en said.
The squad begin to move up to the stairs. "Which way?! Which way to the helicopter?!" Chard yelled in panic.
"To the right! To the right!" Ch'en shouted.
"Don't he know the path they took?" Rangers asked.
"Well he's in total panic. You can't really think straight when you're in panic." Noir stated.
"That is one thing accurate about me, sort of." Chard said.
The squad then took a right to where they first entered the deck. Various objects were seen thrashing around from the water.
"We're runnin' outta time! Come on! Let's go!" Bagpipe urged.
They finally reached the exit as the Audience could see that the sea waters are getting closer to them. The sight causing most to shiver in fear.
"They need to find that chopper fast!" Spot said while holding down Popukar tight.
They all move up to the steepest point of the ship that did not sunk yet.
"Keep moving!" Ch'en shouted.
"Where the hell is it!?" Bagpipe yelled.
Then a chinook helicopter arrived, its back door opened to pick up the squad.
Chard, Ch'en, and Bagpipe manage to get on safely, but Amiya is still behind them. Worst is that the distance between the ship and the chopper is getting further as the ship sinks.
"Oh she's about to jump it." Bagpipe said.
"Ah i can't watch!" Kroos said covering her eyes.
"She has to make it!" Dobermann said.
"Jump for it!" Indra shouted as Amiya makes a jump to the door, her hands manage to grab it.
The audience were in relief for a moment before Amiya starts to lose her grip.
Thankfully, Bagpipe noticed it and pointed that she needed help. Ch'en - being closer to the door, noticed as well, dropping her weapon as she then grabbed both of her arms
"Gotcha!" Ch'en then pull her up aboard to safety. "We're all aboard! Go!"
"Roger that. We're outta here." Big bird said as Amiya turned back to the ship. Some parts of the ship was seen exploding and on fire, possibly from the engines. "Baseplate, this is Big Bird. Package secure, returning to base. Out."
The spotlights of the ship begin to die out as it was then succumbed into the vast ocean.
The screen went black for a moment before an inscription show up.
Infinity ward presents
CALL OF DUTY
Modern warfare
And with that, the scene finally ends.
The operators were in silent for a moment, before blaze spoke up.
"Wow. That was awesome!" Blaze smiled.
"That was very intense!" Bagpipe said.
"I approve of it. It was pretty breathtaking." Rangers said.
"Haha, i knew you would get into it, Gramps." Noir said.
"I can't believe i was in an intense scene!" Chard said. "I think my character role in this is gonna be great!"
"I doubt it." Dobermann muttered since he wasn't the main character in it, and would probably die in the future missions.
"I have to admit, that was a pretty good introduction to this game thing." Kal'tsit said. "They were lucky that there are no seaborns in those waters."
"Getting blown up by a MiG seems like a better option than overwhelmed by those creatures." Doctor said.
"I still think that Amiya should've said atleast something during that escape." Folinic said.
"I thought so too." Amiya said, then turning back to the operators. "Okay, is everyone ready to watch the next scene?"
"Not me." Spot said. "I'm going back to the dormitory and tuck this rabbit up to sleep." He was seen holding a sleeping Popukar on his arms.
"That ship scene really took a toll on her adrenaline until her body couldn't take it anymore and shut down. Anyways, see ya." Spot then got up and left the area with Popukar.
"Imma go aswell. This sure was fun to watch, but i just got back from a mission and i am tired as hell." Chard said while getting up and stretching his arms.
"I think we all should take a short 5 minute break after that intense scene." Greythroat suggest.
"Yeah, you're right." Amiya said. "I'm gonna go get some juice to freshen up."
"We'll wait here." Sesa said with Franka, Noir, Dobermann, Ch'en, and Bagpipe agreeing to stay and watch.
Amiya then left to get juice, leaving the remote behind. All while Chard and Lava left aswell. Lava had an appointment with her sister of her health and such.
Greythroat then went for a bathroom break while the remaining ops stuck around and waited until everyone's ready.

Meanwhile in a Penguin logistics hideout in Lungmen
The PL members had just finished their recent delivery and are now relaxing and doing their own activities.
Texas is smoking as usual, Exusiai is checking her guns, Sora is practicing singing the lyrics of a new song, Bison is reading a comic, and the emperor himself is sleeping in a bean bag.
Even though they just deliver some stuff, they also had to evade the siracusan mafia wondering about and stopping their deliveries.
It was just a peaceful boring night for them, until the door burst open revealing Croissant carrying a package.
"Yo, team!" Croissant shouted.
"Hey, Croissant." Exusiai greeted. "What had gotten you energized like that?"
"Well as ya'll were just sitting here doing boring stuff, i went out and was recieved a package!" She explained.
"A package?" Bison looked up from his comic. "You mean for us?"
"Mhm." She nodded. That seem to get their attention as Sora and Texas stopped what they're doing and glanced to the minos girl.
"Where did you find the package?" Texas asked.
"Oh someone gave it to me." Croissant said, which everyone raised their brows in suspicion. "They came up to me and told me to give this package to my co-workers, which are you guys."
Croissant then showed them the package. It is made of cardboard like any other packages, but there was a marking in the front, which says "For Penguin Logistics."
"Who was this someone? And how did they look like?" Sora asked.
"They're not from the siracusan mafia, right?" Bison added.
"Is it from Mostima?" Exusiai asked.
Croissant then answered. "Nope, it was just from a person with a green hoodie. Can't get a good look of their face, though."
"You don't think it is a trap, do you?" Texas said.
Croissant look back to the package she's holding. "Well, now that you mention it..." She then dropped it to the ground.
"Woah, take it easy there!" Bison intervened.
"Why?" Croissant asked. "If it is a trap then we make sure to break it first until it can't activate!"
"Well what if it is not a trap? What if whatever inside is a gift for us?"
"Alright, Mountain Dasher. Why don't you open the package?" Sora said as she pushed him closer to the package while the PL girls stayed behind him, just to be safe if it's a trap.
"Fine." Bison said as he starts opening up the package. The girls tense up, if that package is a trap.
Though after Bison opened it, they didn't hear any ticking sounds from a bomb or something.
"So? What's in the package?" Exusiai asked as Bison then pull out a VHS tape that was in the package.
"It's a tape." Bison said.
The girls raised their brows, atleast it wasn't a trap. Bison then observed it and found a note and some markings.
"There's a label here that says 'Modern warfare universe', and there's a note aswell." Bison then pull out the note that was stucked into the tape.
"Give me that." Texas took the note as she red it. It says:
"Hey, PL. If you're reading this then go watch the tape that is in the package. Just get a tv and a cassette player and you're in for a treat. Your Rhodes island pals and other acquaintances are doing the same thing, btw. Best to not miss it.
-- Feerzo"
"Wait so this 'Feerzo' person wants us to watch that tape labeled 'Modern warfare'? Why?" Sora said.
"Whatever it is, it seems Rhodes island are doing the same." Texas replied.
"Well if they are watching it, then we should too! I'm also intrigued by the 'Modern warfare' thing, already." Exusiai said.
"I'll go get the tape player!" Croissant said before leaving to the storage area.
"Are you guys sure this is okay?" Sora asked, concerned about the tape.
"I mean it is just a tape. What harm could it do?" Bison said.
"Also we got nothing better to do, currently." Texas pointed out.
"Well, okay then." Sora said. "Should we wake up the Emperor, though?" She pointed to the sleeping penguin by the bean bag.
"Nah, let him enjoy his beauty sleep." Exusiai said.
"I found the tape player!" Croissant shouted, though not too loud to wake up Emperor.
"Great!" Exu exclaimed. "Set it up while i get the snacks with Sora." She and Sora then head over to the kitchen while Bison and Texas bring the tape to the TV.

Alright, so that was Crew expendable. Possibly the best mission for introducing the game and the MW franchise.
I had put in every detail i could that'll get a reaction. Like when one of the enemies charged ahead with a deagle to kill the player.
If you didn't know, Chard and Vanilla returned from their mission which was an Originium slug problem in a Kazimierz village (You can check Vanilla's operator record for it)
And you see by the end, it looks like Penguin logistics are too going to react to this universe. (Also means that i will do the same with other factions and characters that are not in the R.I landship)
The next one is gonna be my fav because it will feature the antagonists who will play Zakhaev and his son.
(Given the fact that the ultranationalists are Reunion, you can take a hint)
See you on "The Coup"
