Blackout
Alright, time to get to act 1 where the real stuff begins.
____________________________________
It's been two days after the Rhodes island operators had watched the prologue of the first Modern warfare. Only three missions were watched, yet it left them hooked on what is gonna happen in the future.
During those two days, several of the ops like Noir and Franka told the story to the other operators that either was not able to catch up or had never heard of it.
Though this left them intrigued as they want to watch it by themselves. Vulcan - being the one responsible for watching over the tape, was surrounded by curious operators.
With no other choice, she lend them the tape so they could watch it. Though she had to keep watch on so they won't go far from the end of the prologue chapter.
Amiya had notice and understand that the ops were just curious. Though it is best for them when they watch the whole trilogy together wit her, Doctor, and Kal'tsit.
Now that today is saturday, it is a good time to gather around and to watch the MW trilogy again. There was a short announcement to those that want to join, in which it was dubbed as a "Special activity with the leaders." And anyone is free to join when they have the time.
Speaking of leaders, Closure is aware of this MW trilogy since she was told that she had a role named 'Baseplate'. The Vampire Sarkaz doesn't know what that means, but since she has a role, she is all in on watching the trilogy.
Anyways, the activity will start at about 2 in the afternoon, which usually is a good time to sit around and relax after hard days of work. Unfortunately there are those that are still need of work till late night.
Right now, Amiya is with Doctor heading towards the Hangout area like they did before. Kal'tsit said she'll catch up once she is done with her own work.
On the bright side, Folinic had some free time to watch with them. She is curios of who is the informant that helped the Rhodes Island operators of tracking the cargo ship.
Amiya still thinks it is her because MW Ch'en said the informant is from Ursus. Folinic doubt it for a while but soon begin to follow with it. Though it could also be other Ursusian ops like Hellagur or Beehunter.
Anyways, the trio made it to the Hangout area, and like they had expected, there were dozens of operators waiting near the TV.
They were a bit surprised since there were more operators than before 2 days ago. It was only 18 ops, but now there are more than 30. Amiya and Doctor observed the ops that are here.
There were those from before which were: Ch'en, Bagpipe, Vulcan, Franka, Liskarm, Noir Corne, Sesa, Spot, Popukar, Rangers, Yato, Chard, Dobermann, Kroos, Fang, Lava, Greythroat, and Blaze.
And then the rest.
Hoshiguma and Swire made it here, sitting besides Ch'en while possibly talking of what this "Activity" is about.
Then there's the A4 members: Cardigan, Steward, Adnachiel, and Melantha. Ansel isn't there, though he is probably busy with his own medical work.
Catapult and Midnight manage to catch up aswell and sat with Spot and Popukar.
Knowing that Ursus is going to be a major location in the universe, some of the ops from Ursus came to watch aswell. Those include Beehunter, Absinthe, and unexpectedly - Hellagur himself.
Then there were other ops like Barty and Dylan. They're with Noir and Chard.
Weirdly though, Lancet-2 and Castle-3 are also here. They probably followed Closure here, much to her displeasure.
All and all, there are about 33 operators, including them which makes it 36. A huge amount from last time.
"Wow, crowd is getting full here." Doctor said, jokingly.
"Well it is good that so many want to join us." Amiya smiled.
"I wouldn't mind, really." Folinic said. "It does feel like an occasion now."
The trio then head over to the area. Despite a large amount of people, there were some spots reserved for anyone. Most likely of where Closure is, sitting on a couch with some spots reserved for the leaders.
Then they noticed there were also several TVs or projectors around some of the ops. Having a lot of people staring at one screen would be problematic, so Vulcan and few other mechanics advice a plan on bringing in multiple TV screens or projectors that allowed the other operators to see the screens without getting crammed around.
Besides, it's not like they all would be transported by a god to a large theater with a huge screen as they react to different universes and such.
Doctor and Amiya made it to their reserved seats while Folinic stood beside them.
"Ah, you finally arrived." Closure greeted, but noticed that the Lynx feline is missing. "Where's Kal'tsit?"
"Busy." Doctor simply responded.
"I see. So, i watched the prologue, and it seems i'm your CO. Pretty neat, eh?" She said with a smug smile.
Doctor shrugged. "To Rhodes island in that universe, it seems so."
"Though i don't think Baseplate is one person." Folinic said. "It could be a codename for multiple operatives that are in charge of their own units."
Amiya nodded in agreement. "You might just be one of their operatives." She the turned to the Doctor. "And who knows that you or Kal'tsit will be one of them too, Doctor."
"It does make sense." Doctor put a hand under their chin.
Closure then shrugged that off. "Well anyways, when should we start?"
"15 minutes. Gotta wait for the others that wants to watch with us." Doctor said.
While they wait, some of the operators were conversing with one another.
"So you're saying that you are a captain of Rhodes island in this universe?" Swire asked to Ch'en in disbelief.
"I am, but not all of Rhodes island, though. Just my team in the 22nd regiment." Ch'en answered.
The feline scoffed. "Even when you left the LGD, you still get to be a higher ranking somewhere."
"Oh don't try to act mad about it, Leader of LGD." Ch'en retorted.
"I don't care about that. I just want to say why you get to appear in this universe while i don't?"
"Maybe they didn't show you off yet." Hoshiguma interjected, not wanting to escalate the conflict. "If what Ch'en said is right about Yen taking action against that Drudge guy, there is a chance you and i could take part of it."
"Fine, i guess." Swire rolled her eyes.
Elsewhere, Hellagur - the ex-ursus warrior was having a chat with Beehunter, Noir, Franka, and Yato.
"What got you interested to join, Hellagur?" Noir asked. "Didn't know you're a gaming person."
"Well, you are mistaken." Hellagur responded. "I am not here because it's a game movie, i am here to see this alternate Terra that the movie has to offer, especially Ursus."
"Yeah, pretty sure most of us are also here. Even Grandpa Rangers is in on it." Yato said.
"And the fact that everyone uses firearms." Franka added, though Beehunter frowned a bit.
"It's a shame." She said. "If everyone uses range weapons then there is no use to beat enemies up with my beautiful fists."
Speaking of Firearms, Adnachiel is having some chats with his team about it.
"If this MW universe contains us aswell, then there is a good chance we'll be using Firearms like the rest." Cardigan said before turning to her Sankta teammate. "What do you feel about it, Adna?"
"One, please don't call me that. And two, i am pretty eager to see myself with a gun. Though i certainly won't need it since i can still match them with my Crossbow." Adnachiel explained.
"In this universe, i don't think so." Steward said. "As far as i can see, the MW guns feels more powerful than our own guns. Those 'Gunpowder' is probably the sole reason."
"You are right." Vulcan chimed in. "Our guns can't go far than 200 meters and doesn't sound pretty loud. Remember when Tachanka used his own LMG in the shooting range?"
The A4 ops remembered when they observed this "Tachanka" and of how he completely obliterated the targets with no difficulties. It made them shudder.
"I couldn't imagine facing someone with that weapon." Adnachiel said, while also remembering his encounter with W back in Chernobog.
15 minutes had finally passed. It was time to begin. Amiya did a short announcement to the ops, thanking them for joining in this 'Occasion'.
You can't lie though. If the Occasion is about watching your own world in an alternate reality will be intriguing and fills up your curiosity.
After that, Vulcan gave Amiya the remote. She already put the tape inside. All Amiya has to do is to continue to act 1.
With that, Amiya pressed the button
_________________________________
The screen fades in, showing the audience the map of Sargon, a small square then scanned the city to where Picale was while showing a video of Drudge Tulla firing a bullet at her off-screen.
Then the inscriptions appear
President
Picale Tulla
Status:
EXECUTED
"Must've been a brutal execution." Hellagur said.
"I don't think a shot to the head is that brutal." Noir said.
"It depends. Assuming Ms. Tulla got shot to the head, her remains must have splattered." Lancet-2 said, disturbing some of the ops a little from that remark.
Bagpipe voice was then heard. "Captain Hui-chieh. Drudge Tulla just executed his sister - President Picale on national television."
The Rhodes island logo then appeared as Ch'en spoke up. "The Yanese have plans for Drudge, and it's too late to do anything for Picale."
"So it seems that Yan are taking action?" Swire asked.
"Appears so." Hoshiguma said. "There is still a good chance we'll be part of it."
"Aren't you guys Lungmenites?" Dylan asked.
"Well, Lungmen is still part of Yan, so we are also technically Yanese." Ch'en said. "Lungmen just has more authority to itself."
MW Ch'en continued. "But in less than 3 hours, code-name Folinic will be executed."
"Looks like i'm next." Folinic pointed out.
The camera then zoomed out from Sargon as the square was then located to the southern Ursus territories, all while Bagpipe asked. "Folinic, sir?"
"Folinic is our informant in the Reunion camp. She supplied the intel on the cargoship operation." Ch'en explained as the camera tracks down to a reunion camp somewhere in the Southern mountains of Ursus. Then some inscriptions appeared.
Located...
Folinic
Reunion Informant
Southern Mountains
Ursus
After that, the screen shows the information about Folinic as the audience could see two pictures of her head, front and side. Some tiny inscriptions of her background and age is written below. Then a larger picture of her wielding an Ak47 was shown while she was wearing a simple olive shirt.
"Wow, Folinic with a gun?" Closure said, chuckling. "Rare thing to see there."
"But that outfit, though. Simple, yet she still looks attractive." Midnight commented causing Spot to groan.
Then another picture was shown of her crouching next to a downed helicopter along with some footage of her operations during the civil war. After that, an objective was encrypted above it, which says "Rescue Folinic"
"Folinic's in hell right now. We're gonna walk her out. We take care of our friends. Let's move." Ch'en said as the satellite then tracks to the swampy area where Amiya is at.
Located....
Amiya
Southern Mountains
Ursus
Day 2 - 1:31:21
"So i'm part of Reunion?" Folinic said.
"As a spy, by the looks of it." Doctor said. "If you were in Reunion, you wouldn't help Ch'en and the others on that intel by the cargoship."
"It's still weird of how Reunion seems like an Ursine-dominant group in this universe." Swire said, knowing there were also Reunion members in Lungmen before.
"Well, the movement did start in Ursus of what Buldrokkas'tee told me." Hellagur said. "Speaking of which, it is not surprising to see him to be one of the antagonists after the last mission." He then sighed as he missed his old comrade.
After the satellite tracks Amiya's position, the camera was seen flying down into her perspective. Once again, the audience could see the swampy environment in Amiya's eyes.
They could see that Amiya had already cocked up her weapon in ready. It was an M4A1 with a red-dot sight, a Grenade launcher, and a silencer all together.
Infront of her were Bagpipe and Ch'en. The former still bear her cap with the Victorian symbol on it.
With Ch'en, she was wearing a boonie hat. Her horns were fit in on the small holes so she could wear it easier. She also has some sort of NVG patch on her left eye.
"Wow Ch'en, you look pretty cool." Hoshiguma commented on her appearance.
"Yeah, i gotta admit. Your alternate self sure has more style." Swire said, while Ch'en rolled her eyes.
"And she looks good in a hat." Doctor added.
Meanwhile some were focusing on Amiya's rifle and all those attachments.
"Why the hell is she using three attachments?" Sesa asked, unimpressed by the design.
"I can understand the silencer and the red dot. But a grenade launcher?" Liskarm said. "I can't tell if she's going in stealth or not."
"Well i want the grenade launcher to be in action."
"The Loyalists are expecting us half a click to the north. Move out." Ch'en said as the trio began walking through the swamp.
"Loyalists, eh?" Bagpipe said. "Are those the good Ursines or the bad Ursines?"
"Well they won't shoot us on sight if that's what you're asking." Ch'en responded.
"Yeah well, that's good enough for me, sir."
"Speaking of Loyalists, i wonder who would be part of them, most importantly who is leading them in this mission?" Amiya wondered.
"I have a good feeling it's gonna be Hellagur." Blaze said.
"Yeah, and i think i may be one of his soldiers." Beehunter idolized at that thought.
Hellagur wasn't really fond of it, but went with it, anyway.
Ch'en, Bagpipe, and Amiya kept walking through the river until they saw a small cabin up front. Ch'en signaled them to stop when there are two guards outside.
Observing them, the audience noticed that they are different from the Ursine men by the cargo ship. They now wore a more militaristic gear. Amiya, Hellagur, and a few others realize that they look like Patriot's guerilla army of Reunion. It made sense since he is the leader of Reunion in this universe.
"Guerillas." Doctor said. "Of course it would be them." They still remember of how they encountered them when Rhodes island infiltrated the Reunion-occupied city of Chernobog.
They were way tougher than your average Reunion grunt.
"Weapons free." Ch'en said. Bagpipe obliged as she shoots the guard at the pier.
"Got him." She said.
The other guard then noticed as he rushed to the pier to check on his now dead comrade.
He didn't get the chance to warn the others by the cabin as Amiya put two bullets to his head.
The trio then move up to the house. They then stack up to the only doorway as they can hear a TV broadcast inside with two voices from the guards.
Ch'en then took out a flashbang and threw it inside. The flashbang exploded - blinding the two men as Bagpipe and Amiya rushed inside.
Amiya took one out as Bagpipe did the same to the other. She shot him at the back causing him to fall down to the floor. Though it seems that he was alive, Bagpipe executed him by firing several more shots at his whole body.
"Wow, that was brutal." Barty commented.
"What a waste of ammo, though." Rangers said.
After they cleared the house, Ch'en spoke up. "Good work. There should be a few more guard posts up ahead. Nine and her men will be waiting for us in a field to the northwest."
The mention of Nine got some reaction from some of the operators, most noticeably the Lungmenite girls.
"Wait, Nine is leading the Loyalists?" Swire said in disbelief.
"You guys know her?" Bagpipe asked.
Ch'en nodded. "Yeah. She was an LGD operator like us until she left to Reunion, or what's left of it. We haven't seen her since."
"Though it's strange that she seems to be leading the Ursine Loyalists here even though she's a Yanese." Hoshiguma said.
Bagpipe exited the house by vaulting through the window as Amiya catches up with her. But before she leaves, she glanced at the TV broadcast which shows Drudge and his speech during 'the coup'.
She put a few bullets on the TV then exited the house.
"Fair reaction." Steward said.
"Hopefully that's gonna be his demise." Blaze said.
After that, the Rhode islanders move up under a bridge as a car was heard above them. The trio then move up to the next guard post up by the hill with a few houses present.
They exited the river and made their way to the first house. Some of the audience could see a man sleeping on a chair on the far house back. They also see the silhouettes of the Reunion soldiers inside the first house.
"I wonder what they are up to?" Castle-3 asked, wondering.
"Probably playing some board games." Closure replied.
"Or looking up some interesting magazines." Midnight said.
"You're not referring to that aren't you?" Spot sent a glare at him.
"What's wrong with fashion?" The Sarkaz asked, which the Rebbah sighed in relief that he wasn't thinking of 'those' type of magazines.
"Never mind." Spot responded before holding Popukar with him.
"Amiya - plant some claymores infront of the door, then get their attention." Bagpipe ordered.
"Ooh, claymore time." Sesa smiled.
"Aren't those what Ms. W also has?" Adnachiel asked.
"Yep." Doctor said. "She can be pretty obsessed with those."
Amiya did what she told and took out one of her claymores. She plant it near the entrance before taking out her rifle - pointing it to the shadow silhouette.
She then fired a shot to it, which startled the man inside. He then grabbed his gun and went outside to check, unfortunate enough to activate the Claymore as it exploded - killing him.
"That's sure gonna leave a mark." Sesa said with a satisfied smile from the explosion.
Bagpipe is really starting to like her alternate self cus of that claymore idea. She hoped that she'll make it to the sequel.
The explosion seems to alert the rest of the guards. The one that was sleeping on a chair fall to the ground from the explosion as he was quickly killed by Ch'en.
The other Reunion soldier by the first house went to the back door and tried to engage the Rhodes islanders, but Amiya shot him dead.
Two more Reunion guards came out from the second house and starts firing at the operators. Ch'en and Bagpipe quickly dispatched them without needing to take cover.
"Well that escalated quickly." Folinic said.
"Yeah, i thought they'd put more of a fight." Chard followed.
"Maybe they were caught off-guard." Dobermann stated. "Lots of soldiers can be killed easily like that, whether trained or not."
"Either way, their path is clear." Lancet-2 said.
Like Lancet said, the area is clear. The trio then move up to the third house that seems to be uninhabited by the guards.
Amiya then stopped for a moment as she turned to the first house. There she saw a chessboard on the table with a few snacks and drinks. It seems that the guards were playing Chess before they were taken out.
"Aw, now i feel bad when she killed them." Doctor said, since they have an interest in Chess
They continued to the third house and made their way to the kitchen. Ch'en then slowly opened the door that leads to a field. There was a car parked there aswell.
The operators walk through the field before Ch'en spoke up. "Bagpipe, you smell that?"
"Yeah. Nine."
The audience were confused of what she meant until they saw a figure standing up while coming out of the bushes.
Ch'en signaled them to stop as the figure reveals themselves to be Nine. She was not wearing her usual white robe like what present Ch'en remembered. Instead she wore gray military clothing along with an Ursine Ushanka on her head.
"There's Nine." Ch'en pointed out.
"Yeah, i can see that." Swire said. "She looks pretty cool in Ursine clothing though."
"That Nine girl sure has style." Midnight said.
"Military style." Spot added.
"Is she alone though?" Yato asked.
"I think her troops are also hiding in the grass and bushes." Noir said.
"Good for hiding." Castle-3 said.
"Welcome to the new Ursus, Captain Hui-chieh." Nine greeted. On cue, her men slowly come out of the grass and bushes, just like Noir said. And like Nine, they all wore gray clothing although half of them aren't wearing Ushankas, but simple helmets.
"So these are the Ursine Loyalists." Hellagur said. "They do look similar to Ursus' troops in clothing."
"I still don't get why Nine out of all are leading these group of loyalists." Folinic said.
"They look pretty cool." Cardigan said, looking at their appearances.
"And not scary." Popukar responded.
"They're definitely the good guys." said Kroos.
"Lack colour, but still good." Midnight said.
Ch'en then come up to her and asked. "What's the target, Nine? We've got an informant to recover."
"The Reunion forces have BM21s on the other side of the hill." Nine said, pointing to the said hill right next to them. "Their rockets have killed hundreds of civilians in the valley below."
"Wonder what's a BM21?" Closure asked.
"Nine said it has rockets so i am assuming it's some sort of artillery with rockets as its ammo." Liskarm stated.
"Seems dangerous by the mere mention of it." Bagpipe said.
"They even killed innocent civilians with it." Hellagur said, displeased at the thought of it.
The loyalists then begin to move up to the hill. Nine was about to join until she was stopped by Ch'en.
"Not so fast." Ch'en said. "Remember, Po'-shan? You're with us."
"Hm, I guess I owe you one." Nine said.
"Bloody right you do." Bagpipe added as they all begin to move up to the hill.
"Po'-shan? Isn't that place already abandoned after a Catasthrophe hit it?" Hoshiguma asked.
"Yeah, but probably not in this universe." Ch'en said. "Then again, what were me and Nine doing in that place?"
As the Rhodes islanders and the Loyalists move up to the hill, Nine can be heard whispering to one of her men named "Vanya". She ordered them to prepare the attack and wait for her signal.
They then reached the top of the hill that has an abandoned house with a playground. The loyalists went to the right side of the house while the Rhodes islander stuck with Nine.
"This way. There's a good spot where your sniper can cover my men." Nine said.
The trio follow her to the cliffs that has fences on the edge. As they kept walking, the audience could see dozens of rockets launched from below.
"Woah." Dylan spoke up, intimidated by the amount of rockets firing.
"That is a lot of rockets." Melantha muttered.
"Ain't no one can survive that." Cardigan said.
The team then reached the cliffs as Amiya looked below to see the whole village. There were a bunch of Reunion soldiers either patrolling or standing around. She could also see some trucks that are carrying all the rockets by the back.
The audience soon realized that those are the BM21s that Nine talked about.
"So the BM21s are just rocket trucks?" Franka said.
"That thing killed about a hundred people?" Spot said in disbelief that a truck could do that damage.
"It's not the truck that did it, seems like. It's the rockets." Amiya said. "Perhaps they use those trucks for transport."
"Either way, those BM21s look pretty intimidating." Dobermann said. She couldn't imagine if those trucks can level up a whole city with those rockets.
"Sniper team in position." Ch'en said. "Bagpipe, cover the left flank."
"Roger. Covering left flank." Bagpipe replied.
The team then reached an area by the cliffs, infront of a fence that seems to be missing a plank. But that's good since the team can use it for sniper support.
Nine, Amiya, and Ch'en faced to the village below while Bagpipe kept her focus on the left flank.
Amiya then switched her modified M4A1 into a suppressed M21. The mag-fed sniper rifle was covered in grass, which is usually for camouflage.
"That gun looks great." Adnachiel said.
"Seems like a perfect weapon for long range." Liskarm stated
"It reminds me of Scout's own sniper rifle." Amiya said.
"Heh, yeah. Scout..." Blaze said sadly, ears drooping a bit. Greythroat noticed her feeling and put a hand on her shoulder. The feline still missed that guy along with Ace.
Amiya set up her sniper rifle by the fence with Ch'en doing the same. She looked through her scope to see Nine's Loyalists soldiers crawling on the rocks, waiting to strike.
She look back to the village as she saw three Reunion soldiers walking together in the road with two more standing beside a door of the house nearby.
As they seem to be ready, Nine spoke up from the radio. "All units. Commence the attack."
Seconds later, the audience could see the road getting struck by artillery fire while managing to kill the two soldiers by the door and destroying one of the BM21s. After that, the Loyalists begin their assault as an alarm was heard from the village.
"What a way to start an assault." Beehunter commented.
"And i like it! Starting it with a bang." Sesa said.
"They even managed to destroy one of those rocket trucks." Catapult said.
"That is one less to worry about." Dobermann said.
Amiya decides it is time to take action. She focused her sniper rifle on the three men that were once patrolling together are now spreading out for cover. Amiya managed to shoot two of them as the last one vaulted over a stone wall.
Though when he decides to peek out, Amiya shot him clean right through the skull. She then saw more Reunion soldiers coming out from the houses and rush over to the Loyalists.
Amiya was about to shoot them before Ch'en called out to her. "Amiya, take out the machine gunners in the windows so Nine's men can storm the building."
Amiya shifts her sniper from the field into the first house near the cliff. She could see there were two Reunion machine gunners by the window and a handful of dead Loyalists on the front of it.
Doing what Ch'en said, she took out one of the machine gunner with an easy shot to the head. However, the second machine gunner was blocked by a wall, with only his machine gun seen by the window.
"How is she going to take that guy out?" Closure asked.
"Oh that's easy. Just shoot through the wall." Folinic said, confusing Closure a bit.
When Closure turned back to the screen, she could see that Amiya took care of the second machine gunner by shooting through the wall. The bullets penetrating it and hit the machine gunner twice.
"Oh. Wait, how?" Closure asked.
"It seems that the material for that wall is not that strong." Vulcan stated. "That is why Amiya was able to shoot through it."
"I take that you did not watch the F.N.G episode?" Doctor asked to Closure.
"No." She shook her head.
After dealing with the machine gunners, Amiya could see the Loyalists storming into the house. The battle down below seems to intensify where dozens of Reunion soldiers ran outside and engage the Loyalists.
Amiya tried her best to take out as many as she could with her sniper.
Just then, the sounds of Helicopter blades were heard. Amiya pull away from her sniper scope to see two helicopters flying above the battle.
"Looks like Reunion brought reinforcements." Hellagur stated.
"And there's a lot of them in the interior." Folinic added.
"Hey, those helicopters look like the one we saw back in the coup." Franka pointed out, as the audience noticed after.
"Further approves that Reunion supplied Drudge's men." Doctor said.
"Damn, enemy helicopters!" Nine exclaimed.
"You didn't say there would be any helicopters, Nine." Ch'en remarked.
"I didn't say there wouldn't be any either." She pointed out. "We need to protect my men from those helicopter troops. This way!"
The team abandoned their spot as they followed Nine to the run-downed house at the end of the cliff - which is also on fire. A stray rocket then hit the balcony part as the debris fell down to the valley.
"Make it quick, Nine. I want that informant." Ch'en urged.
"You have nothing to worry about." Nine assured. "We'll take out the BM21s and carve a path straight to your informant, Captain Hui-chieh."
"Well since the assault has begun, it would be a matter of time before the ultranationalists kill her." Yato said, with a few of the ops agreeing with her.
"Don't you mean 'Reunion'?" Noir pointed out.
"They're the same. By the looks of it, Reunion is a title for the Ursine Ultranationalists."
The team then reached the house as Nine opened the door with a kick. They proceed into the structure while avoiding the fire and falling debris.
The audience could hear Nine whispering something from the radio in Ursine. Most of the audience couldn't tell what she is saying, but to the Ursines and those who know the language knew that she seems to be talking to her men again.
"We should just beat it out of her, sir?" Bagpipe suggested from her radio to Ch'en.
"Not yet." Ch'en responded.
"If you can't get info from someone, might as well resort to physical violence." Rangers said, agreeing with that idea.
"But she is their ally though?" Dylan said.
"That keeps holding on to that info so that they focus on her men taking the village, even though they don't have to." The old Savra pointed out.
Amiya switched back to her M4A1 as the team moved out of the burning building and into the field that the helicopters were dropping off the soldiers.
As expected, the team were being shot at by the reinforcements. "Sir, we've got company. Helicopter troops closing in fast!" Bagpipe said.
"No shit." Chard said.
"There seems to be a lot of them." Melantha said with hints of concern. "Will they make it?"
"No need to worry, leader." Cardigan assured. "I'm sure they can beat them all."
"Besides, they are the main characters and have plot armor." Spot added, knowing the logic and all.
The Rhodes island operators and the Loyalist Sergeant returned fire at the enemies. Though it seems that the latter outnumbered them. The team then split up and took cover in different areas.
Nine stayed behind and took cover by a rock, Bagpipe head over to the nearby shack and took cover by the wall, Ch'en went forward and crouched down behind some furniture.
Amiya was aiming to the shack, but she had to take cover behind a rock when she was under fire. She peeked and fired a few shots on a soldier before bolting to the shack.
The cautus then head over to the window to get good cover and a clear view of the field. A lot of the Reunion soldiers were also taking cover by some rocks and outside furnitures.
Ch'en and the others manage to take down a few of the soldiers. However there were still plenty more of enemies. Amiya then remembered that her gun has a grenade launcher attachment. Now it is a good time to use it.
"Come on, use the grenade launcher!" Sesa shouted in excitement.
Like Sesa said, Amiya then move here left hand to the trigger of the grenade launcher. She aimed the gun at a group of three hostiles by a rock.
She then fired a grenade as it then exploded, killing all three of them behind the rock. She shift her aim to two hostiles that were suppressing fire on Ch'en's position. She fired and blew them up till their bodies sent flying.
"Hell yeah, that is what i'm talking about!" Sesa exclaimed.
"Don't celebrate just yet, there are still more." Dobermann pointed out as the audience could see more enemies coming from the power station.
Seeing this, Amiya shift her aim to the incoming hostiles. She reloaded and fired another round as it killed three of the seven hostiles on the hill.
The rest of the surviving hostiles were caught off-guard from the explosions till they become easy picking to the others. Bagpipe successfully took out two of the hostiles while Ch'en and Nine each took out one.
Amiya switch back to rifle mode as she starts picking off the remaining hostile forces. After about a minute, the team took out all the hostiles.
Nine was then heard, shouting. "Captain Hui-chieh, my men have run into heavy resistance. Help me support them from the cliffs."
"What about our informant? She's running out of time." Ch'en said.
"Then help us! The further my men can get into this village, the closer we will be to securing your informant!"
"But the more time you waste, the higher the chance that Folinic will be killed before they even arrived." Rangers remarked, with some others agreeing with him.
"Well the Loyalists still need all the help they could get from the team." Amiya argued.
"While i agree with it, it seems that saving Folinic is a more top priority to them." Doctor said.
The team then head over to another cliff, looking down on the battle. It seems to intensify pretty quick as loads of Reunion and Loyalist forces were in the battlefield, exchanging gunfire everywhere in the village.
Amiya switched back to her sniper rifle and took care of a few Reunion soldiers that gave the Loyalists such a hard time advancing.
It took a turn of worse to the Loyalists when Amiya saw a BMP heading towards them.
"Oh crap, i guess they do need their help." Noir said.
"But what are they gonna do?" Swire chimed in. "By the looks of it, they have no weapons that can take down an armored vehicle."
"Maybe the Loyalists have AT weapons." Steward guessed.
Since there is nothing they could do to stop the tank, Amiya and the team focused on killing the Reunion infantrymen.
While Amiya was focus on sniping the enemies, she glanced to the Loyalists and notice that a few of them were hiding behind a house and are holding RPGs, which they could definitely use at the tank.
"Looks like they do have AT weapons." Spot said.
"But why are they just standing there?" Beehunter asked. "Go on and blow up the tank already!"
One of the loyalists peeked out and was about to destroy the BMP, until he was shot down by a stray bullet.
Amiya traced the shot to where there were three Reunion snipers on the attic of a house below them, picking off any Loyalists from their crosshair.
"Oh...that's why." Beehunter acknowledged.
Seeing that the snipers are holding the Loyalists back, Amiya decides to take care of them.
Though to the Audience's surprise, Amiya switched back to her customized M4A1, still focusing her aim on the snipers.
"What is she doing?" Fang asked.
"Yeah, shouldn't she need the sniper?" Lava said.
Sesa observed before realizing what she was going to do. He then smirked. "Oh, i think i know what she's gonna do."
Like Sesa expected, Amiya switched the trigger to the M203 grenade launcher. She line up her shot before firing a grenade to the snipers. It exploded - killing three of the snipers at once.
"Collateral!" Sesa exclaimed with his arms raised up.
"I must say i am impressed she didn't miss." Dobermann said.
"Instructor, are you judging little Amiya's aim?" Noir corne joked, earning a glare from the Perro.
After dealing with the snipers, the Loyalists now have the opportunity to advance. The AT troopers move out of their cover and fired at the tank, destroying it completely.
The Reunion forces was then seen retreating as the Loyalists advanced.
Not a moment later, Nine spoke up. "Good, now we are making progress. Follow me to the power station."
The Rhodes islanders abandoned their spot as they begin to follow Nine towards the power station. As they reached the ledge, Nine took out her binoculars and observed the assault from below.
"Look, the final assault has already begun. With a little more of your sniper support we are sure to be victorious." Nine said.
"More sniping?" Chard said in annoyance.
"Folinic's about to be dead!" Franka exclaimed.
"Yeah, i'm pretty sure this is a good time to tell the location of her." Amiya said.
"Hey, look. I think Bagpipe's going to do something." Ch'en pointed out.
While Nine was busy talking, Bagpipe glanced to Ch'en - the latter gestured her head to do her thing. Nodding, Bagpipe went over to Nine.
"Captain Hui-chieh. I need to ask one more favour-" Nine was cut off when Bagpipe forcefully turned her around and beginning to push her to the cement wall, her head hanging off of the ledge. The Audience were surprised of it.
"Enough sniping! Where is the informant?" Bagpipe asked in an angry tone.
Bagpipe felt a bit shocked seeing her alternate self would do something like that, even to an ally.
Midnight whistled. "She really ticked her off."
"I'd be like her too if she refuses to give me intel on Folinic." Spot said.
"What are you doing? Are you crazy? What do you think you're doing!?" Nine asked in Ursine.
"Where is she!?" Bagpipe recited.
"The house..." Nine coughed before pushing Bagpipe away. "The house at the northeast end of village!" She pointed to the structure after.
"Well that wasn't so hard was it?" Bagpipe queried. "Now go sit in the corner."
"Well that seems to work out." Adnachiel said.
"I'm glad that they won't do more unnecessary sniping." Chard said.
"And it is time to get straight into the action!" Catapult shouted.
"Amiya, Bagpipe. We've got to reach that house before anything happens to the informant. Let's go!" Ch'en said.
Amiya and Bagpipe immediately went to the ropes as they prepare to rappel down, leaving a frustrated Nine alone in the power station.
"Will she be ok?" Kroos asked.
"Well there are no enemies left there, so yes." Fang said.
Amiya was the first to reach the ground. Bagpipe and Ch'en also made it as the trio them turned to the battlefield.
The audience begin to notice the background music playing.
"Such intense music." Popukar commented.
"They are on the clock of rescuing Folinic before she gets executed." Spot said.
"Hopefully we'll make it in time." Amiya said.
The trio vault over the stone wall as they see the battle unfold. Loyalists were destroying the last of the BM21s and are advancing through the houses, said houses were occupied by Reunion soldiers as they try to hold their ground.
Amiya noticed that the center of the field were filled with gunfire from both sides. Getting to the house up front is dangerous. Thankfully to her and her squad, there was another entrance to a house right next to her, so she'll flank the Reunion forces there.
Amiya took point in the house with Bagpipe on her tail. When they are approaching the exit, several Reunion soldiers rushed in.
Amiya swiftly took out most of them with ease since they were grouped up in the door. Another soldier appeared and was about to shoot down Amiya, but Bagpipe quickly shot him to the head.
"Close call." Bagpipe said.
"Thanks for that." Amiya said to her, even though it was her alternate self that did it.
The Vouivre nodded anyway.
Ch'en catch up to them as the three stack up to the exit. Amiya peek out as the remaining Reunion forces were still holding their ground. Then she saw a few Loyalists managing to reach the door to the long house. They then breached in as gunfire was now heard inside.
When Amiya walk out of the house, there were a few Reunion soldiers by the windows of the house in front of her.
Before breaching in the house, Amiya thought of an idea - which involves using her last claymore. She placed it down infront of the doorway.
Sesa smiled awaiting what's going to happen next.
Amiya then peek inside the house, seeing three Reunion soldiers firing from the window. She then put a bullet on one of them, catching the other two's attention to her.
They fired at her but Amiya quickly sprint back to cover. As expected, the Reunion forces chase after her - till they activated her claymore from the doorstep. It then explodes, killing them.
"Now that was pretty sneaky." Dylan said.
"You know she didn't really had to waste her last claymore like that." Greythroat remarked.
"Eh, it's not like it could be that important throughout the final section of this level." Sesa said.
Seeing that the house is clear, Amiya move up inside with Bagpipe beside her. As they reached the exit, there were two Reunion soldiers outside.
The Rhodes islanders were about to fire at them but stopped when they were shot down by the Loyalists that are coming out of the house on their left.
"Bloody hell, let's move! She may still be alive." Ch'en urged as she, Bagpipe, and Amiya ran all the way to the final house that Nine talked about, leaving the Loyalists to handle the rest of the village and the surviving Reunion forces.
"I guess that is the house with Folinic in it?" Closure asked.
"Looks to be, otherwise why would they come there?" Doctor said.
"Hope we're not too late." Amiya said, not wanting to picture Folinic being dead.
"Bagpipe, go around the back and cut the power. Amiya, get ready." Ch'en ordered. She and Amiya both stack up to the front door as Bagpipe went out the back.
"Bagpipe, do it." Ch'en said. A few seconds later, the audience could hear the sound of electricity flicking and the power shutting down. Then it is followed by the light of the front door shutting off.
"Alright, i've cut the power. Go." Bagpipe said. Ch'en gave a nod to Amiya before she opened the door.
The audience noticed that the inside of the room is pitch black. Then it was followed by Amiya equipping her NVG goggles as the screen now becomes green.
"So they're gonna use the darkness as an advantage?" Hellagur asked
"Indeed. Hence why NVGs were made." Liskarm stated.
Ch'en and Amiya move in to the house. Then they heard a voice from the next room over. "Hm? What happened to the lights?" The voice said in Ursine.
Both of the R.I ops went to the said room and saw one of the Reunion occupants pressing a light switch repeatedly.
"Viktor! The electricity went out!" He called out to his comrade.
He didn't get a reply since he was then shot to the head by Amiya. "These night vision goggles make it too easy." Ch'en remarked.
"Even more easier when you use firearms." Dobermann said.
"Yeah, i've seen some of our blacksteel members fighting with melees while using NVGs. It sorta went well but also not to some." Franka said.
Amiya and Ch'en move up to the next room to see another Reunion soldier. He was hugging the wall since he couldn't see anything in the dark, with one hand on his pistol and the other feeling the wall.
"Sasha...? Are you here? Sasha...?" The soldier said, the audience assuming that he is Viktor mentioned by the previous soldier - who was probably Sasha.
Amiya then put him down as she and Ch'en begin to move up to a set of stairs. When the former entered the first room, she saw a third Reunion soldier sitting on the corner with a pistol in hand.
He frantically aimed the gun around, couldn't tell if the footsteps he is hearing were friendly or enemy.
"Aw, he looks scared." Blaze said.
"They're still Reunion." Absinthe replied with a tint of hate in her voice.
Amiya quickly put him down as Ch'en walk past her and took point. The audience could see Bagpipe's silhouette from the outside of the house, almost thinking she was an enemy.
As they went in the room, loud gunfire erupted. The audience noticed that it come from another section of the room, it was possibly blind fire because of the lack of vision the shooter is experiencing.
Ch'en and Amiya cautiosly move up until the latter shifted to a flipped table to see a Reunion soldier raising his rifle and fired. Though he only manage to hit the ceiling and the walls. Amiya quickly put him down as more shots were heard from Ch'en.
She turned to her as she was exchanging fire to the doorway ahead of them. Moments later, a body came out of it, presumably the shooter that was blindly firing across the house.
Bagpipe then entered the house through the door by Ch'en's right. Now regrouped, the trio proceed to the last room. There they saw a woman on the ground. That's got to be Folinic.
Amiya head on over to the last room, rifle aiming towards the door. Just then, a Reunion soldier leaned out of cover with a pistol and flashlight in hand. He pointed to Amiya and fired a shot. The shot hit her vest as Amiya grunted before unleashing a dozen bullets to the man.
"Ok that was really close." Closure said. "If he had aimed a bit higher , he might've shot her to the head."
"Good thing he didn't." Amiya sighed in relief, not liking it if she'd died that early.
As the man dropped to the ground dead, his flashlight managed to enlighten Folinic's face. Amiya, Ch'en, and Bagpipe went to the room.
"What do you want? Who are you? Special forces?" Folinic asked in Ursine with a raspy voice. Ch'en then grabbed the flashlight and shined it to her face.
The audience could see how badly beaten up Folinic was. Bruises and fresh scars covered her face, accompanied with a black eye on her left and a bloody lip.
"Oh wow, they really beat me up pretty bad." Folinic commented about her alternate self's appearance.
"Maybe it's from when they interrogated you and you kept refusing on giving them answers." Hellagur said.
"If that is true then damn your alt self did a great work resisting." Bagpipe complimented.
"It's her." Ch'en clarified after looking to her face.
"Folinic, are you alright? Can you walk?" Bagpipe asked.
"Yes, i can still fight." Folinic said in a more clearer voice. "Thank you for getting me out of here."
Ch'en then gave her an AK74u as she went to her radio. "Big bird, this is Bravo six. We have the package. Meet us at LZ one. Over."
"Bravo six, this is Big Bird. We're on our way. Out." Big bird responded, which was the same guy that appeared in Crew expendable.
"Let's go!" Ch'en declared. The Rhodes islanders, now accompanied with Folinic, exited the house through the door that Bagpipe went. Since it is now bright outside, there was no need to use the NVG goggles. So Amiya took them off as the screen went back to normal.
"I gotta admit. Seeing the screen in nothing but green ticked me off a little." Chard said.
"You hate the colour or something?" Dylan asked.
Barty then fake gasped. "Chard. Do you hate nature!?"
"Oh shut up. I just don't like a single colour to take over a screen." Chard responded, earning some chuckles from them and Noir.
As the four went out of the house, they hear the sound of helicopter blades close by. Amiya could then see a Blackhawk helicopter landing to the field in front of the house - which is the designated LZ.
Then the audience could see three other individuals dropping off from the aircraft, securing the area. When Amiya gotten closer, they get a clear look on the operators. The ones that dropped off from the chopper were Yato, Noir corne, and Barty. Then there was another operator inside the chopper - and it was Chard.
"Hey, there's us!" Noir corne pointed out.
"Alright, i made a physical appearance in this MW universe!" Barty said, happily.
"Wow, i look pretty good in that clothing." Yato observed her alternate self, which she was wearing the standard R.I uniform along with an earpiece. Simple, but still cool.
"Man, why does it have to be you guys?" Dylan complained when he did not get a physical appearance yet.
"Oh quit your whining man. You did appear in Crew Expendable as our pilot." Chard remarked.
When they reached the chopper, Ch'en was the first to get in, followed with Amiya. Then Bagpipe was seen helping Folinic up with Barty and Yato. After the four got in, so did the rest of the operators.
The helicopter then took off. As it did, Folinic poked Ch'en shoulder - getting her attention, then asked. "Have the Yanese already attacked Drudge Tulla?"
"No. Their invasion begins in a few hours, why?" Ch'en asked back, wanting to know.
"The Yanese are making mistake. They will never take Tulla alive." Folinic answered.
And just after that the screen went black, ending the mission.

"First mission of act 1 and i am very excited of what's gonna happen next." Sesa said, excitedly.
"I liked the NVG part. They were pretty effective on raiding the house and rescuing Folinic." Dobermann said.
"Since she mentioned of the Yanese invading Drudge's nation, I'm eager to see it." Swire said.
"And wondering that you may appear also?" Ch'en asked.
Swire sighed. "Sure, that aswell."
"You know i was expecting Hellagur to be the Loyalist leader, instead we got Nine." Amiya said.
"Yeah, still wondering why?" said Folinic.
"Maybe Hellagur would have more larger role in the future!" Blaze thoughted.
"You may be right at that, Feline. But if i don't have a role in this universe, i wouldn't mind. I am more interested in the world anyway." Hellagur expressed his opinion.
"Same as here old fellow." Rangers joined in. "Besides, i'm too old if i were to be in that universe as a soldier-like character."
"By the way. What did Folinic meant of the Yanese making a mistake of invading Drudge?" Spot asked.
"I don't know." Midnight said, shrugging.
"She did say they won't 'Take him alive'. So i guess that means Drudge might kill himself?" Catapult questioned.
"Or, he might be able to kill the Yanese with ease?" Greythroat said.
"What, no way." Blaze denied. "If Yan is strong here, then they must be strong in the MW universe. Like there's no way he could wipe thousands of the Yan soldiers that easily."
"Yeah, i think Catapult's question is more likely." Noir corne said.
"Whatever happens, let's continue to the next mission and find out." Vulcan suggested as Amiya nodded and press the button to the next mission.

Alright, it is finally finished. Some of you had asked for this, and i have completed it.
All of that took about 8000 words, which is the main reason why it took a while (which is only had been two weeks). Again i am putting every bit of detail i could that can cause a reaction from the characters.
Also having 30-ish characters puts a lot of work.
Now you noticed that Yato, Noir corne, Barty, and Chard are there at the end - even though in the original game, there was no one but the helicopter.
It is actually so that they will appear in "The hunted" mission. It didn't make sense when the helicopter crashed, there was a random SAS operator just up ahead. And in "Death from above", three more soldiers from the team magically appeared even though we did not see them in Hunted. So i filled that plot hole.
Anyways, i am very excited to do the next mission because Yan will now act as the US in this universe. That means changing a buncha stuff so it would fit well.
Take a guess on who is gonna be Vasquez, Griggs, and Jackson.
See you in "Charlie don't surf."
