A Time Lords Wedding
I think a lot of people have been waiting for this chapter. There is a second which will hopefully be ready for next week. Sorry that this was late I was busy working today so I couldn't get it out earlier on.
-----
The Stone was absolutely scared out of her skin. After pacing around her room in the TARDIS for the hundredth time muttering and rambling to herself with the three woman sitting on her bed watching the Time Lady panic Martha eventually stood up in her navy blue bridesmaids dress matching Sarah Janes as well as a dear old friend and companion of the Stones who she had admittedly forgotten about only until planning out the wedding, Lila White. The Stone still had memories from before the Time War missing, her companions sadly being a key memory she had lost she knew they were there but could never put a name to their faces. It wasn't that she didn't want to remember them but had nothing to remember them for that was until Donna had pestered the Time Lady to start looking at things for the Wedding, the redhead being a big part in a lot of the final ideas for the day something that pleased both Time Lords with the heartbreaking events that lead to the human woman no longer remembering the two. Martha walked over to the Time Lady before placing her hands on her shoulders forcing the blonde to stop mid-sentence and mid pace. "Calm down." She looked the Time Lady in the eye. "Relax, everything will be fine."
"Martha how could you know that." She went to run a hand through her hair before forcing herself to stop after Sarah Jane had only just finished with the pins keeping her hair in a twisted bun while also remembering that her hair wasn't naturally flowing like it normally would be. "Something could go wrong, the Daleks could show up and that would cause a disaster, I can't run in heels!" She exclaimed as the three looked at her slightly worried. "I don't normally wear heels, Donna had to teach me how to walk in them, I haven't even attempted running in the things!" She groaned pinching the bridge of her nose taking deep breaths. "What is wrong with me."
"Wrong with you?" Lila raised a brow at the blonde. "Why would you say that?"
"Because I'm freaking out. I didn't freak out when I was forced into an arranged marriage.
"Maybe it's Because you actually love the man you are marrying?" She raised a brow smirking. "Your worried about what he will think of you."
"Perhaps." She muttered slightly nodding in agreement. "I woke up and threw up actually feeling sick. I never get sick, ever." She stated.
"You never get sick huh?" Lila looked at the Stone who did look a little green. "I remember that one time when you scared me to death by suddenly falling to the floor out cold mid-flight in your TARDIS, luckily the TARDIS sent a signal to the Doctor and he saved your TARDIS as well as refused to leave you alone until you were back to normal." She chuckled making the Stone narrow her eyes at her.
"Lilac." She grumbled using the woman's proper name. She had to given the nickname 'Lila' after meeting her when finding a large group of Cybermen trying to convert students at her school. "That was one time and I wasn't exactly 'sick' more like infected."
"If you say so." She replied in a quiet mutter before the Stone shook her head moving over to the other side of the bed holding up a storage bag holding her wedding dress.
"What are is the difference between a Time Lord wedding and a human one?" Lila asked her mind wondering on the topic for quite a while.
"Well, normally it depends on the marriage, for a first marriage a Time Lady would normally wear a long white dress much like humans wear as well as their hair being partly or all down typically curled to show, being 'pure'. You would only wear small earrings and no necklace, it's meant to show 'innocence' and being pure because nothing says pure and innocent like power as well and a high position." She shook her head at the thought. "Any other wedding but the first is meant to show your chapter proud, typically after a Time Lord or Lady regenerated Time Lords would not marry the same again and move on to other marriages that were arranged, normally a Time Lady would wear the colours of her chapter, since I was a member of the Prydonin chapter I would be meant to wear red and Orange." The Stone explained trying to be as clear as possible to enable the human woman to understand. "However, a unifying or otherwise called a Uniting ceremony which in the simplest of terms meant that the two Time Lords were united for the rest of their lives throughout all of their regenerations meaning that nothing could break the bond they shared and nothing could overcome it. Including death. Due to the Doctor having owned and proposed with an amalgamate ring suggesting that the two of us United since the old ring was seen as the ring Time Lords United with, because of this I can wear whatever I would like. It's meant to be classed as a perk, I think it should have been allowed to every Time Lord."
"I wonder what you chose." Martha hummed in wonder eager to find out.
"All in good time Martha." The Time Lady grinned at her before Lila looked over at the Stone a mischievous look on her face only making the blonde worry.
"What I really have been wondering ever since I received your invitation is what Time Lords get up to on the honeymoon." She raised a brow as the Stones eyes widened before she turned around her face beat red as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
"It seems I have been unable to keep that topic out of the discussion." She muttered still not facing the women. "And I was hoping to survive the day without a peep out of anyone speaking about that... area."
"So what does go on Stone?" She asked the blonde practically hearing the wide grin on her face amused with the Time Ladys reaction.
"Well, erm." She stuttered turning back round as her eyes darted around the room not able to look any of the women in the eye while on this topic. "Well if Time Lords did have a honeymoon it would mean they would have too..." she trailed off brightly blushing at the thought. "Too..." she repeated her eyes finding the pattern of the floor quite interesting. "Too..."
"Let's leave her alone now," Martha spoke up, "she's already terrified as it is without an image of the Doctor in her mind." She laughed as the Time Lady darted her eyes over at the woman her while her mouth fell open.
"Oh, I should have seen that coming from you Martha." She shook her head. "I honestly should."
"You know me too well." She grinned. "I'm still curious as to what happens."
"Martha!" She groaned once more before the woman quieted giggling about something she had whispered to Lila. "As you two are busy giggling more likely about the mentioning off..." she lightly coughed. "I shall go and change." She then held up the bag holding her dress to make her point. "When I get out I want the topic of Honeymoons finished." She looked between the two before looking at Sarah Jane, she then stepped into the bathroom hearing the giggles of Lila even louder than before.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Stone exited her rather large bathroom (bless the TARDIS) as she grinned from ear to ear at her three bridesmaids wearing the beautiful white dress she had picked which held Alencom lace at the chest and back of the dress that continued until the waist before a detachable silver belt changed the dress from lace to a soft almost silver under layered silk with an even softer white net over the top giving the dress slight volume yet style. The back of the dress was bare going down to the Stones lower back creating a sort of V shape similar to the front which went down from the straps close to her chest. "Are you trying to make the Doctor go mad as soon as he sees you?" Lila chuckled making the Time Lady blush bright red. "The honeymoon is for after the wedding not during it."
"I thought I told you to discuss that topic as much as you wanted while I was changing." She groaned.
"Ignore them Stone." Sarah Jane laughed. "Have this discussion with after she has had a bit of dancing and alcohol." She quickly added making the Stones' mouth fall open. "I hear she is quite the talker while dancing and intoxicated."
"Oh dear." She shook her head slightly worried while making a mental note to not go near the three in the night.
"How are you feeling now?" Martha asked seeing that the Stone looked much better than before.
"I think ecstatic would be the best word for me to use." She grinned. "To think that centuries ago the Doctor and I were only best friends, now look at us." She laughed.
"You two certainly have been through a lot." Lila softly smiled after the Stone had briefly visited the woman a couple of weeks before the wedding owing an explanation for the sudden loss of contact, she always did enjoy to stay in some form of contact with her companions, they never knew when they might need her help so it was the best idea, of course that was all in her TARDIS, somewhere in the Parallel universe. She was only blessed with her Charmelon circuit working and very, very glad hers did not look like a 1950's police box that would be very confusing when seeing the Doctor.
"That doesn't begin to explain it." She chuckled fondly thinking over everything they had done and witnessed together whether it was them both as a couple of just best friends. "Speaking of memories if my parents saw this..." she started to laugh unable to hold herself from it. "They would be completely appalled."
"Why?" Martha asked.
"They completely hated the Doctor, despised of him." She stated then went on to explain. "My parents were quite different to my fathers brother, he didn't put as much pressure on his children to do well, whereas mine believed that to do well as a Time Lord you would need the greatest and strongest knowledge." She scoffed at the thought. "When they found out that I had become friends with the Doctor someone who disagrees with many Time Lord ways they started to worry after I 'began' to disagree. I, however, disagreed with many of the ways our people lived before meeting the Doctor, I just hadn't spoken up about it thinking that I shouldn't. That was until the Doctor taught me that it was okay to actually disagree."
"But their still your parents, wouldn't you have wanted them to come?" Martha asked.
"That's the question after they agreed they would come and not cause a fuss. Knowing my parents they would refuse on the spot, my oldest sister and brother would most likely agree to come. They both enjoyed the company of the Doctor and continuedly teased me about liking him as a small joke, even when I didn't realise myself, they knew I do and I didn't even know.
"Well, you got us." Lila smiled at the Time Lady. "But on to the dress." She glanced down. "You look beautiful, Stone." She grinned as Sarah and Martha nodded in agreement. "The Doctor is going to love it."
"As I will love the top hat I convinced him to wear." She laughed grinning herself. "I found it in the TARDIS wardrobe one day and continuously asked him to wear it for the wedding until he had to agree to me." She looked at them mischievously as they laughed.
"He can't get out of doing anything with you can he?" Martha looked at the blonde.
"He never has." She raised her brows. "After knowing the man for centuries I don't remember a time where he has ever ignored what I have said."
An eruptive knock then sounded at the door. The Stone glanced at the three bridesmaids as Lila then moved over to the door opening it a crack to see who it was. "I'm not the groom." The voice of only Mickey Smith was heard from the other side making Marthas eyes brighten at the sound. The two had been dating for almost a year now. Given that it had been around a year and three months since the pepper pots had tried, almost succeeded and then lost at destroying the universe. The Stone could sense they were going to end up together, it was going to happen and she tried to help it at every opportunity she could even go as far as sneaking off when the Doctor was in the Library to go to see them both something, the Doctor was not impressed with when he found out what she was doing. The poor Time Lord thought she had been taken by the Daleks once again.
Lila opened the door and frowned a little not knowing who he was, Martha had mentioned Mickey when the two met a week ago, something the Time Lady felt was needed as she explained in a better depth of what actually happened in the Time War so the woman didn't end up getting confused. Martha was supposedly meant to support the Stone, even after it had been long since gone speaking of the Time War ached in the hearts of both Time Lords, that however was not the case in this visit with the three happily chatting and discussing wedding plans. It was hardly a time to be saddened, with a wedding around the corner.
"Mickey!" The Stone beamed as Lila made an 'o' shape with the name now being to a face as she nodded knowing who it was and further opened the door.
"Stone you look amazing." He beamed then looked over at the three bridesmaids. "You three look beautiful." He grinned.
"You don't look too bad yourself." The Stone nodded eyeing the black suit he was wearing.
"The Doctor's in." He then informed making the Stone start to pace around once again luckily not having her shoes on. "Stone?" He looked at her slightly alarmed.
"She's been like this almost all morning." Martha informed him sighing.
"To think that I can am getting terrified of this is quite horrifying." She muttered. "I'll be fine though." She slowly nodded reassuring them.
"So Mickey is taking you down the aisle?" Lila raised a brow.
"After Mickey decided to stay instead of going to the parallel world I helped him sort out living and such, became quite a good friend when the Doctor was having one of his days where he made me almost lose my head." She fondly rolled her eyes. "I love the man to bits but sometimes he can go off the scales." She said making Martha laugh muttering something about knowing the feeling under her breath earning a glance from Mickey.
"We haven't even done your make up yet." Sarah Jane looked at the Time Lady her eyes widening.
"I have an idea..." Lila muttered pulling the blonde over to the small table.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Around five minutes later Lila stepped away smiling finished with the Time Ladys makeup of red lipstick and eyeliner. She never was one for makeup in any of her regenerations and didn't want to be suddenly covered in makeup today.
"Ready?" Sarah Jane asked as the Stone stood up looking in the large mirror as she beamed.
"In a moment." She then finally slipped on her silver heels which held sparkles similar to how her amalgamate ring sparkled in the light. She then moved over to the table and picked up a large bouquet similar to the smaller bouquets the three bridesmaids held.
"Why Chamomile and geraniums?" Martha raised a brow sniffing her own bouquet for a moment.
"It is said that Chamomile is meant to represent patients and geraniums represent true friendship."
"Ah, I see." Sarah Jane nodded. "You chose the flowers based on their meaning."
"That and I think they go brilliantly together." She grinned.
"All ready?" Mickey looked at them. The Stone glanced around looking at her three bridesmaids who nodded at her before she turned back taking a deep breath and nodded herself.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Stone stood outside the doors of the garden in the TARDIS, the Time Lords decided what place better than the machine which was practically their home. The three human woman stood in their order in front of the door. "Martha then Lila and finally Sarah Jane the maid of honour. She was the first companion of the Doctor that actually felt a friendship with the Time Lady, therefore, she was in the Time Ladys opinion the one for the role. She loved all three of the woman dearly but of course, had to choose one.
The bridesmaids then began to move towards the door the Stone taking Mickeys arm as they walked at a slower pace behind making sure to keep out of sight of the doors. "Thank you for doing this Mickey." The Time Lady whispered. "I honestly expected you to decline given events in the past between another blonde." She raised a brow as Mickey nodded.
"Yes, Rose. You know she didn't mean it?" He said.
"Of course." The Time Lady nodded. "We were good friends as you know, could even say close enough to be sisters."
"Well, you always did know one another quite well when we first met."
"I honestly wish there was a way she could be here, then again it would be rather odd with two Doctors running around one being the groom. Would be hard to explain to everyone, especially those such as Marthas family."
"Of course I almost forgot that they were here," Mickey muttered obviously too busy with other things.
"It's the least we could do given the events that happened. Plus I became rather fond of Mrs Jones, almost scared the Doctor as much as Jackie." She snorted a laugh before forcing herself to stop as they walked through the doors out into the garden.
"Back to the topic." Mickey quietly whispered. "You didn't think I would accept the offer?" He raised a brow.
"Well, it was either you or the Brig." She grinned. "But knowing him he sadly couldn't make it, stuck in Cuba yet again." She shook her head.
Slowly they continued down the aisle as Jack glanced over at the Doctor who held a broad grin on his face his eyes fixed on the Stone. The Stone slowly walked down the garden path with Mickey beside her as they walked up to the Doctor standing with Jack wearing a black suit and a TARDIS blue tie, of course, he wore red converse remembering that the Stone had mentioned they were her favourite shoes of his. He wore matching black suit trousers as Jack wore similar to him. The Doctor wearing a quite large black top hat with a TARDIS blue ribbon going around it at the bottom of the hat something that quite amused the Time Lady making her giggle as she stepped in front of him.
He raised a brow at her slightly smirking as she forced herself to stop her hands itching to take his with the Time Lord feeling exactly the same. The Bridesmaids quickly took their places in the audience with Mickey. "You honestly look beautiful in white." He murmured to her grinning from ear to ear.
"And you look quite handsome in that hat." She replied in exactly the same tone as his. "Amusing yet handsome quite a good mix."
Jack then stepped forward and cleared his throat gaining everyone's attention. The Time Lords decided that he would be the best acting as the officiant as well as the best man. A role the Doctor was already regretting after he questioned a Time Lord honeymoon himself and started to joke about it. "Ladies and Gentlemen." He looked over at the audience. "We are gathered here today to witness the Unifying of the Doctor and the Stone, please be seated." The audience then took their seats closely watching the Time Lords grin at each other as Jack reached into his pocket bringing out a TARDIS blue strip if cloth before handing it to the Stone who wrapped part of it around her right hand before handing it out to the Doctor who also wrapped his end around his hand. "Lord Doctor, of the House of Lungbarrow doctor consent to this Unifying ceremony?"
"I consent."
"And do you Dame Stone..." the Time Lady groaned at the title she had been given. Damn her parents. "Of the House of Oakdown, do you consent to this ceremony?"
"I consent." She nodded grinning at the Doctor who held a twinkle in his eye as the words escaped her mouth.
"Luckily not everyone had to go through the lengthy Unifying ceremony." Jack quickly glared at the Time Lords before looking away as the Doctor sent him a warning look making the man nod and snap his mouth shut.
"There's actually something in the ceremony we kept for today." The Doctor remarked looking at the Stone who slightly nodded at him.
The Doctor took in a breath, the hand holding the cloth lightly glowing with his regeneration energy, the Stones hand doing the same. The Time Lords slowly rolled the cloth making their hands inch closer together before almost touching, their regeneration energy mixing together, flowing calmly, the Stones a slightly more orange colour than the Doctors.
Knowingly Jack nodded, the Doctor obviously having explained to him what they were doing beforehand. "And I'm sure you both know what this part is?" He raised a brow as both Time Lords glanced at each other grinning then nodded at Jack, their hands still glowing. The Doctor and the Stone both took a breath before leaning in towards the other's ear and whispering their true names to each other. From that point on there was no going back for either of them, now United and Bonded until death for the rest of their lives, a completely new step in their chapters. A step that they both were completely ready and willing to take wanting nothing more than to be together.
"Since you have both shared your true names, bonded to each other and consent to this ceremony there is only one last thing to do, exchange the rings." He stated as K-9 who has been beside Sarah Jane rolled up to the two a large cushion sitting atop of his back with two beautiful rings sitting atop.
"Master, mistress." He greeted them both making the Time Lords laugh as the Stone patted his head while the Doctor grinned. "Good dog."
The Doctor bent down to the cushion and picked up the two rings with the hand not glowing, handing one with a silver band to the Stone before he unwrapped his hand from the cloth taking her hand again and slipping the wedding ring consisting of a silver band much like the ring she held in her hand, however, this one had white diamonds around the band. The Stone then did the same unwrapping her hand then placed the ring on the Doctors finger.
"I now have the honour of pronouncing you both husband and wife," Jack stated at the Time Lords both grinned tightly holding each other hands the Doctors eyes flicking to the ring on the Stones hand her generation energy floating around it. He then looked at her face, particularly her lips. "You may kiss the bride."
Without a second to spare the Doctor pulled her closer placing his lips onto hers the two of them deeply kissing the other as the audience clapped and cheered, There glowing hands entwined, regeneration energy completely mixing together, sealing their bond before the glowing dimmed, the regeneration energy disappearing, not that they were paying any attention to how busy they currently were.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The Time Lords had both decided that for the reception instead of staying in the TARDIS that they should perhaps have it on Earth, since the planet was like a second home to them. So that is what they did. The hall they had picked was laid out with round tables scattered around the room leaving plenty of space for everyone to move about while others were seated. There was a large dance floor in the centre of the room.
Dinner was then served and quickly followed with what the Doctor thought was a brilliant idea, something he managed to convince the Stone into. Banana flavoured ice cream. She could never understand how he could love Bananas so much and quickly offered him her bowl since she was never really a fan of the fruit. It was something the Doctor was rather concerned about wanting her to enjoy the wedding just as much as he was while wanting her to enjoy the food. She quickly convinced him that she wanted him to have hers and said that she was full from the dinner.
After everyone had finished eating Jack quickly stood up lightly tapping a glass of champagne in his hand with a spoon. The Doctor silently groaned grasping the Stones hand knowing exactly what was to come next. "I knew from the moment I asked that this was a bad mistake." The Doctor muttered into her ear making the Time Lady send him a look while shaking her head. "Sweetheart it's only a small speech."
"But it is Jack." He protected to her as the Time Lady tilted her head looking at the man as he gulped down more of his champagne before she looked at at the Doctor and nodded. "True."
"Ladies and gentlemen!" Jack then spoke up into a mic. "When the Doctor first asked me to be his best man I already knew exactly what I was going to say for a speech, that was until he said that Gallifreyan weddings don't normally have speeches, but then the Stone informed me that I could if I so wished to make a speech."
"He looked so happy..." the Time Lady protested as the Doctor sent her a look before his eyes became soft and a mischievous grin grew on his face knowing what the man was saying next.
"The Doctor then told me a brilliant idea of talking about the Stone as well," Jack added just after the Doctor grinned. "I quote 'if she's going to play that game then so will I'."
"Oh dear..." the Time Lady grumbled placing her head in her hands.
"So here we are." He then grinned. "First I was talk about the Doctor, I met him long ago when he had a different look and a leather jacket, something I know the Stone would be much fond of after the Doctor discussed a Time where his dear wife was practically attached to a jacket made of leather." He said stopping to take another sip of champagne and then continuing. "The Doctor also had massive ears and was quite rude yet amusing, quite a good kisser as well." Jack grinned winking at the Stone making her blush bright red. "You are a lucky woman." He grinned as the Doctor tightened his hand. "When the Doctor and I was against the Daleks in the future he left me because he had to and I never knew why and always wondered until I managed to find him again this time he wasn't alone with a brilliant girlfriend by his side, she was a brunette and looked quite stunning, very attract..."
"Jack." The Doctor warned glaring at the man.
"Right sorry." He nodded. "All in all what I am trying to say is that Stone, you are extremely lucky to have him in your life, I can clearly see just as much as I sure everyone else that he cares for you with both of his hearts and will never go against you." He nodded then grew a burst of energy. "Moving on to the Stone! I didn't actually know her for long, she saved the world with Martha Jones, taking her across the Earth to tell her story of the Doctor." Jack looked over at Martha who nodded. "I hadn't known her for long but I knew she cared for those around her, she left her love to save the world, something that took a lot of gut and something I know I may never be able to do." He said almost sounding serious. "And then she went and changed." He said making the Time Lady laugh. "She became a blonde who if I recall cannot help but make an entrance, Stone you made one hell of an entrance today." He said making most of the audience seated at tables laugh before he raised his hand holding his glass. "To the Doctor and the Stone!"
"The Doctor and the Stone." Everyone repeated. taking the opportunity before the man sat down the Stone stood up and hugged him.
"Thank you, Jack." She smiled as he sat down nodding at her. "It's an honour."
The room then fell silent as the Stone blinked wincing a little. "You planned that didn't you." She groaned shaking her head as he laughed. "If you want a speech just ask chatterbox." She glanced at the Doctor. "I'm sure he would be happy to talk all day and night but I guess I'm the one standing. I didn't have anything planned but I want to say one thing that has been on my mind since a year and two months ago today." She said looking at the Doctor who sat in his chair. He took her hand in his and gently squeezed. "I'm sure many of you know but a year and two months ago two amazing friends were taken from us, one by force and one because we had to save the world." She breathed out calming herself. "Their names were Rose Tyler and Donna Noble, some of you may know them well and others may not but at one point when I knew Rose Tyler I trusted her more than the Doctor." She sheepishly grinned at him. "I miss the tongue between teeth grin Rose made at mine and the Doctor's jokes and whenever he acted like a complete idiot." She chuckled and blinked back her own tears. "And then there is Donna." She chocked. "She made me laugh, made me cry by jabbing me in the stomach when I did something she didn't like." The audience laughed. "Seriously it hurt." She looked at them all before she looked over at Martha and Sarah Jane before slowly raising her glass the rest of the audience doing the same as the Doctor stood up wrapping an arm around the Time Lady tears in his eyes while he raised his own glass.
