Cassian's mother died when he was younger. His sister also unfortunately passed away around the same time. All of his life it's just been him and his father. He doesn't have the best relationship with his father but it also isn't the worst relationship. It's mostly just that his father expects so much from him and he wants specific things from him. He's supposed to do everything a specific way to please his father. It turned that way after they'd lost so much. Cassian's life has turned into lessons and tutoring all day everyday and also taking over his father's family business. Cassian really just wants to be alone and free to do as he pleases.
