Grant honestly does not remember a majority of his past. His parents disappeared from his life without a trace and he ended up in an apprenticeship with pirates. And he ended up staying on that boat for the rest of his life. He grew close to the captain who had practically become a second father to him. Once the captain passed away, the position and ship was given to Grant. Grant honors his spot of being captain every single day. He loves what he does. He wouldn't trade it for the world.

Grant liked you though so he brought you on the ship. He doesn't pay a ton of attention to you though.
