First, please stop posting update comments because they're getting kinda of annoying. If you were to say "Can't wait for the next update" then that's fine. I have no issue with this comments. But the constantly telling me to update and some of you post please update as soon as a posted a new chapter. Like I just posted the chapter. I get it, you love my stories and I appreciate it. Sometimes it might take longer because of changes I may have to make. I work extremely hard on every chapter and I'm doing my best to get it out to you all.

Second, I want to warn you ahead of time! So the first scene of this, if you recognize anything, you know what or who it is then please try to not comment about it in a spoilerly way because some people may have never watched Shadowhunters! I've never watched the show myself, I'm only doing my research! This is somewhat a big spoiler in this story so you can comment about it just try not to be too say too much about it!

Ariel opens her eyes and finds herself standing at the entrance to a beautiful land.

When she lifts her hand to block the sun from her eyes, she immediately notices her outfit change. An ancient yet beautiful and elegant white gown.

"Noelle!"

She turns around to see Kol walking towards her and notices him wearing battle armor. "Kol?"

"My darling." He kisses her forehead. "...I promise once I return, we will finally be married."

"M-married?"

He holds up her left hand, using his thumb to slightly caress her ring finger which she notices has a engagement ring on it.

"...I must be going soon but before I do...you best kiss me before I go."

"What? Kol, what are you-"

She is immediately cut off when a sword is suddenly thrust through his chest. He reaches out to her as he falls and before she can grab his hand, a man with dark hair appears before her.

"Didn't I warn you what would happen? YOU DARE DISOBEY ME?!" The man roars. He grabs her throat and throws her to the ground. "Say goodbye to your lover."

"...N-Noelle..."

When he lifts his sword up to stab Kol again, Ariel lets out a blood-curling scream and jolts awake. She begins to cry and feels hands placed on her shoulders.

Ariel! It's alright!" She's breathes heavily and quickly hugs Kol, tightening her hold on him. He gently rubs her head with one hand and her back with the other. "It was just a nightmare, okay? You're home, you're safe."

Caroline and Liz rush into the room. "What happened?!"

"...Everything's okay." He says as he continues to soothe her.

The next day, they head Portland, Oregon. While on his private jet, Kol looks to the left of him and watches Ariel who is sleeping.

Flashback

Kol hears a commotion coming from upstairs and vamp speeds. Once there, he sees Ariel killing the monstrous insects that attacked her and Katherine.

"What were those things?" Kol questioning Katherine.

"I don't know! They just came busting through the window!"

Ariel turns to Katherine and asks, "Where are they? Where are my children?"

Katherine becomes confused. "Who, what? Ariel, what are you talking about?"

"...Darling?"

Ariel doesn't respond or even move from her spot.

"Kol... Her eyes..."

"What about her eyes?" Kol goes to stand behind Ariel and gently places his hands on her shoulders. "Darling?" She still doesn't respond. "Darling, look at me."

He turns her around to face him and his eyes widened, seeing her red eyes.

"...Johnathan?"

Kol becomes confused. "Who, what? Ariel, it's me. Kol."

"Ariel? My name is Noelle and you are Johnathan..."

She faints and Kol catches her before she falls to the floor. Katherine becomes extremely worried and goes to their side. "Is she okay?!"

"She'll be alright, just fainted."

"What was she talking about?"

"...I don't know."

End of Flashback

"Do you think she's going to be okay?"

Kol looks at Bonnie whose sitting across from the couple in front Ariel. "She'll be fine, she always is."

"...She really doesn't remember a thing?"

"No. She woke up after I took her back home and she was confused to why we weren't at the pageant. The last thing she remembered was talking to Katerina about this Joshua Parker."

"Her potential grand uncle, huh?"

"...You didn't have to come, you know?"

"I know but... Ariel was always there for me, so I'm going to be here for her. I'm choosing for myself for the first time."

"Has anyone ever told you how loyal you are?"

"No and because of that loyalty, I got taken advantage of so many times."

"Technically that wasn't your fault. If certain people hadn't been so selfish and manipulated you, things could had turned out differently."

"Thanks... I'm glad she has you. "

"Everyone needs a Kol in their life. We can become buddies too, free of charge."

"I take my thanks back. Besides, what if Ariel loses control again and I might be the only able to stop her?"

"I don't think anything will happen if I'm here but I appreciate it."

"You're welcome."

Kol glances back at Ariel who is still sleeping with a small smile on her face, he wonders what she is dreaming of.

Flashback

A young Ariel is holding her father's hand as they walk into a place named Rousseau's.

"Alright, sunshine. What are you hungry for?" He asks as he tickles her stomach, making her giggle.

"Hmm... Cotton candy!"

"Real food."

"Okay, then..." She taps her finger on her chin while thinking. "Burgers!"

He chuckles as he shakes his head. "You didn't even need to put any thought into that because we both knew. You're obsessed with those things."

She giggles and they take the window seats. "Blame uncle, you know he's responsible."

"I'll do that." He says with a grin.

After getting their orders taken by the waitress, they continue their conversation.

"Daddy?"

"Hmm?"

"Remember that dream I told you about? The one of the very handsome man."

"You still haven't told me if he's more handsome than me."

"Daddy, focus. It's not a competition."

He laughs. "Okay, continue."

"Well I had another one of him. I found out his name is Jonathan and this time he was with a very pretty lady! Her name is Noelle. I even drew the two of them!"

"Oh, really? Can I see?"

"Yep!" She reaches into her backpack and takes out her sketch pad. She turns the pages till finds the drawing and hands it to him. "See? That's them!"

Her father looks at the drawing and drops his drink onto the floor, breaking the glass in the process. "...Kol?"

End of Flashback

Once she wakes up, she sees Kol staring lovingly at her. She also notices that Bonnie isn't there.

"She needed a bathroom break."

"...Kol?"

"Hmm?"

"Jonathan and Noelle... Aren't those the names I mentioned?"

"Yes... Your eyes were red and the power that you unleashed...it was unlike anything I've ever seen. It was like you weren't even yourself. When Katerina and me tried talking to you, you kept saying that your name was Noelle and you were calling me Jonathan... Why are you asking?"

"Just curious... I remembered something."

"You did?"

"Yep... I was with my dad. We were going to eat out at a place called Rousseau's and he was asking me what I wanted to eat that wasn't cotton candy. So I picked a burger."

"Aw, I see you still had the same tastes as a child."

She giggles. "And I was telling him about a dream that I had..."

"What else?"

"...I'll tell you another time."

"Ariel, you can't leave me hanging like that!"

"Oh, we're about to land soon."

"Darling!"

"I promise to tell you another time not quit your whining."

"...Well at least answer this... Why did you bring the machete that my brother gave you?"

She puts on an innocent look. "...Huh?"

After Caroline and Liz have arrived in New Orleans, they head to St. Anne Church. Inside, the approach a priest.

"Hello Father, are you Kieran O'Connell?"

"I am and you two are?"

"I'm Elizabeth Forbes and this is my daughter Caroline."

Kieran shakes both women's hands and gestures them to take a seat in one of the pews.

"What is it I can help you with?"

"...I need information on a person and I managed to find out that you were close to her."

"Who is this person?"

"...Ariana Williams."

"...I'm sorry but you came to the wrong person. I don't know anyone by that name-"

"Please! She was my best friend who I didn't even know she was dead! And all I have left of her is her daughter!"

"Father...please. Can you just tell us what you know and then we'll leave."

He sighs. "...Alright. What is it you want to know?"

"After we graduated, she lived here for about two years and she met someone-"

"Ariel's father."

"So you knew Ariel."

"Of course I did, I was part of her life for nine years... That girl was the light for all of us. She loved to give out nicknames. She was amazing at art, we all believed she would be an artist when she was all grown up... I even remember how obsessed she was with burgers and cotton candy." He chuckles. "...How is she?"

"She hasn't changed. She manages to keep us all together, she's there for her loved ones through thick and thin. Plus she makes the smartest decisions than most people."

"That sounds like her."

"...Would you like to see a picture of her?"

"May I?"

Caroline takes out her phone and goes to her photos, then hands it to Kieran. He tearfully smiles as he looks through the photos.

"...She grew up well... Thank you..." He wipes his eyes and returns the phone to her. "But Ariel's father, I can't tell you that."

"Why not?"

"All I can tell you is that if you want the identity of Ariel's father, then she would have to return and go see him herself-"

"Do you know of the supernatural?"

"How did you-"

"Vampires, werewolves, witches, hybrids, even supernatural hunters have all appeared in Mystic Falls. We found out that my daughter found out that has powers and she's no ordinary witch."

"What happened to the seal?!"

"It broke. Don't know how or why. But don't worry, we felt there was a reason for the seal in the first place so my friend put a cloaking spell on her just in case anyone was after her."

"Ariana was a witch as well and yes so was the father. Ariel comes from two powerful bloodlines of witches."

"Why did Ariana never tell me?"

"You go by Lizzy, don't you?"

"...Ria was the only one to ever call me that."

"She told me a lot about you. Her best friend and sister, almost inseparable... She wanted to keep you out of the supernatural life and she had a normal life until the point where you both graduated high school... And she was running from someone."

"...Honey, why don't you go see the sights?"

"Are you sure, mom?"

"Yeah, you go have fun. Pick up some souvenirs too."

After Caroline leaves, Liz faces Kieran again.

"Running from who?"

"...At first we didn't know. But after her death, we found out that it was the Gemini Coven."

"Them again?"

"So you know of them... Ariana's father was the twin brother of the current leader and he died from the merge.

"The merge is when they have to choose their next leader, right? When a pair of twins reach the age of twenty-two, they undergo the merge. Whoever wins, absorbs their twin but the who loses will die."

"...That is correct."

"But what does that have to do with Ariana? She didn't even have a twin!"

"...The reason for that I do not know. But it's not like we could have gone after the leader. If the leader dies, the whole coven dies."

"...Meaning that Ariel...?

"Would also die. Even though we wanted to avenge Ariana's death, we had to look the other way and hide Ariel's existence from them. To keep her safe... But the coven got their karma anyway."

"What do you mean?"

"The leader's eldest son killed many members of the family except his father and a few of his siblings but as a result of that, he disappeared. No one knows what happened to him."

"...Just one moment." Liz quickly takes out her phone.

In a café while Ariel is eating a sundae, Bonnie and Kol are having tea, the trio are watching two blonde haired people.

"Didn't know you were a fan of raspberry. Thought you would have gotten a cotton candy sundae instead."

"I was just craving it."

"Ariel always eat a raspberry sundae once a month."

"I'm still learning so much about you."

"Right back at ya."

"But any particular reason?"

"This might sound stupid but...Sometimes I feel like there's someone that I miss and I have to have a raspberry sundae to fill in the void."

"It's not stupid, darling. Maybe it's another lost memory of yours. It could possibly mean that you and your father would always have this sundae for a special occasion."

"...Maybe... You always say the right things."

"Anything for you, my darling."

"Love you."

"Love you more."

Ariel giggles and Kol caresses her cheek. Bonnie watches the couple in amusement.

"...You two are cute."

"Oh course we are. Where are you going to find another couple like us?"

"They're leaving. Kol?"

"I'm on it."

A few minutes later the trio are standing nearby Kol's car. Ariel is reading a text from Liz and replies back telling her not to worry and to remember her plan.

"Bonnie, you're going to keep an eye on these two while we're in there. But first... Obliviate."

"Umm, did they really have to be knocked out?" Bonnie referring to the two unconscious blonde haired people in the trunk.

"Yes. They were on their way back home and for my spell to work, I can't have them there."

"Is this really a good idea?"

Kol shrugs. "They should be unconscious long enough. When they wake up, they'll won't remember being knocked out and think they fell asleep after researching their family history. Once we're back, I'll quickly get them back into the house."

"...Are these two really your cousins?"

"If my mom is really the niece of the current leader, then yes. That's why I need to go and get answers." She takes two potions out of her coat pocket and gives one to Kol. "Ready, foxy?"

"For you? Always."

The two gulp down their potions and their appearances begin to change... 

"Well, Bon-Bon?"

"...You...you both look just like them! And you even have their voices?!"

The couple look up and down at each other.

"A pleasure to meet you, Olivia Parker."

"The pleasure is all mine, Lucas Parker."

"...Darling, I'm starting to have second thoughts on this, it's too weird!"

"You can't back out now no matter how weird it is! Bon, will you be okay on your own?"

"...Yeah... But Kol, if anything happens make sure to get Ari out of there and I'll meet up with guys halfway."

"Of course. I'll be there so there's nothing to worry about."

"...Really?"

"Look we should getting going. Let's go..."

Flashback

"Are you ready?"

"Daddy, who is the pretty lady?"

The woman crouches down to a young Ariel's height. "My name is Patience Bane." 

"It's very nice to meet you too! I'm Ariel..."

End of Flashback

For a brief moment, she feels a discomfort in her chest and places her hand on top of her heart.

"Ariel, are you alright?"

"What's the matter?"

"I'm..." She removes her hand once the pain goes away. "...I'm fine."

"Ariel-"

"Let's get going."

Olivia (Ariel) quickly closes the trunk and makes her leave. Bonnie and Kol look at her worryingly.

Patience drops her champagne glass and Magnus catches it before it hits the ground.

"Sister, what's wrong?" He asks worryingly.

"...She's beginning to remember."

Arriving at the Parker home, Olivia (Ariel) knocks on the door. A tall man with grey hair and brown eyes opens the door.

"Olivia, Lucas. You're home."

"Yeah, it's almost thanksgiving. Time for our college break, so here we are." Lucas (Kol) tells him.

"Well, come on in."

"Thanks."

They step over the threshold and walk into the living room.

"Umm, do you mind if we do some research on the family history? It's for school." Olivia (Ariel) asks.

"Go on ahead." Gestures to the library. "I have some business to take care of, I'll be in my study."

"...Thanks, dad."

He nods and leaves the sibling to their own.

"So that's Joshua Parker, huh?"

"Are you alright?"

"I'm fine. Let's go in."

Olivia (Ariel) opens the doors and they both walk inside with Lucas (Kol) closing the door.

Ariel's cell phone rings and she answers it after seeing it's Jeremy that's calling. "What's up, brother?"

"Ariel, is that really you?"

"Yep. The spell not only changes appearances but the voice too."

"That's so weird.

"You sound like Kol. Now why did you call?"

 "You see...we may have an issue- Shadow, stop that!"

In the background, she can hear Shadow barking and things falling over.

"Jeremy. What is he doing?"

"Uh... He may gotten into your art supplies."

"Jeremy!"

"It's not my fault! I think he misses you and Kol! You've been away for almost a whole day! Have ever been this apart for this long?! Shadow, don't chew my shoe!"

"Oh my..." She sighs. "Give him my fox plushie. You know the one that Bonnie gave me for my birthday? Maybe that will calm him down."

He goes to do what she says and she waits for his response. "...It worked. Aww, he's cuddling up to it."

"Good. Take a picture and send it to Kol. He misses his baby."

Kol's phone soon rings and he takes a look at the picture. "He's so adorable."

"Talk to you when we get back, Jer. And tell Shadow we'll be back soon."

"Will do. See you soon, sis."

After she hangs up, she hears a baby crying...

"Is that a baby?"

"A baby? Darling, are you sure you're alright?"

Flashback

"Lady Noelle! Please wait!"

Noelle steers her horse in the direction to sounds of a crying baby. Up ahead, she sees a man holding a knife raised, ready to kill. She shot forth a wave of red light from her hand, knocking the knife from his hand. She then thrusts her hand forward, a wave of red magic pushing the man back away from the baby. She quickly gets off her horse and runs to the baby, picking it up while attempting to calm it down.

"What is wrong with you?!"

"Oh my... What are you...?"

"Does it matter?! How can you kill your own child?!"

"Stay out of this, it has nothing to do with you!"

"Who would stand by and watch a baby die?!" 

"Do you any idea what that thing is?! Look at it!"

Noelle looks down to see the baby has finally calmed but once the baby opens it's eyes, she immediately notices dark brown eyes change to a glowing dark purple and her tiny fingernails turning into claws.

"She's a monster!"

"No... She's like me." Looking directly at the man with her glowing red eyes.

The man screams and cowers away in fear.

"This is your child. No matter what species she is, you should love her regardless. Take responsibility. Now where's the mother?"

"She's dead! She died from an illness!" 

"...If you don't want her then I will take her along with me and care for her. What is your answer?"

"Take her! I don't want that thing!"

"...Fine. But let me tell you one last thing... One day, you might regret not wanting her. You'll regret not knowing the strong and beautiful woman that she'll grow up to be... Goodbye." She turns her back and walks back towards her horse. She looks back down at the baby, her eyes still red and the baby smiles at her. "Your name will be...Patience Bane."

End of Flashback

Once again, she feels chest pains and clutches her chest. Lucas (Kol) notices and rubs her back.

"Want to tell me what's going on?"

She sighs once the pain goes away. "I... I'm remembering the woman who took my memories."

"What? Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because there's more to her than that and I don't know what it is. But..."

She becomes distracted when she finds a picture...

"...This is them... Jacob Parker, Joshua's younger twin brother. Both powerful and capable- Wait. Kol, what's a siphoner?"

"I don't know much but they're sorta like witches but without the ability to generate their own magic. They're very rare but they're able to absorb magic from other resources and use that power for their own purposes."

"Huh... It seems Jacob was a siphoner and apparently, either of them could have been the leader of the coven...but we already know who lost the merge."

Lucas (Kol) brushes back the hair that falls in front of Olivia's (Ariel) face and she gives him a sad smile. "What about Eliane?"

"...Eliane Williams... Jacob's wife and the mother of Ariana Williams. She left after Jacob lost the merge. Her and Ariana lived in Mystic Falls. That's where both my moms met and became best friends."

"Hmm... So you got the beauty from your mother and grandmother."

She chuckles. "...Just looking at them, I feel like my personality from my grandpa too."

"I must agree. Your grandmother looks like the serious type... I wouldn't be surprised if you got your temper from her."

"Hey!" He chuckles and pokes her forehead. 

"But I know that eighteen years later, my mom left and moved to New Orleans. Then what happened to my grandmother? Did you find anything?"

"...Ariel... I can't seem to find anything on your grandmother but I found a hidden file."

"And?"

"...It involves the death of your mother."

"...How? ...How did she die?"

"...Joshua. The reason she got out of Mystic Falls was because she was running from the Gemini Coven. Your mother was a powerful witch and had potential to take the leadership from Joshua. So he not only wanted her dead but also to take her power. I believe she made sure that he or any of the other members never knew of your existence..."

While taking a walk in the city and taking pictures with her phone, Caroline bumps into a young girl who accidently drops sketchpads.

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" She says while helping the young girl pick her things.

"It's fine."

"No, no! It's not okay! These are sketchpads meaning you're an artist, right?! Did anything get ruined?!"

The girl checks her work. "Everything's fine. Don't worry."

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going! I got distracted by the pretty sights!"

"Oh, so this is your first time here?"

"Yeah, I'm Caroline."

"Davina."

"That's a pretty necklace. Ma soeur... That's French for sister, right?"

"Yeah. My sister, actually."

Flashback

A young girl with strawberry blonde hair approaches a crying Davina.

"Hey, what's the matter?"

"I can't find my mommy."

"Oh, so you're lost... I'm Ariel. What's your name?"

"Davina."

"Okay, how about this? We'll wait at Rousseau's, everyone goes there! I'll get you a sundae and draw something for you. Would you like that?"

Davina nods and takes Ariel's hand. They head to Rousseau's and Ariel orders a raspberry sundae for Davina. As Davina eats her sundae, Ariel works on her sketch.

"And viola!"

Ariel shows Davina her sketch which turns out to be of her. 

"You drew me?"

"Do you like it?"

"Yes! Can I keep it?"

"Of course, it's all yours."

Ariel tears out the sketch and hands it to Davina. "Thank you, Ariel!"

"You're welcome, beanie!"

"...B-Beanie?"

"Yep, that's your nickname. Other than art, giving out nicknames is another one of my specialties."

Davina giggles. "You're weird."

"Another one of my specialties. What about you?"

"Hmm, I like to play the violin."

"Ooh, the artist and violinist. I see the start of something beautiful! Play a song for me sometime, will ya?"

Davina giggles again. "Do you think we could be friends?"

"I'll do you one better. We'll be sisters. I've always wanted a sibling."

"...You'd be my big sister?"

"Yep and you'll be my little sister."

Davina slowly smiles. "...Okay."

"I just thought of something! Beanie, wait here! If your mom shows up, stall for time! I'll be right back!"

Ariel quickly gets up from her seat and runs out of Rousseau's. A while later, Davina is standing outside Rousseau's waiting and sees Ariel making her return.

"You're back!"

"Yep, here!" Ariel hands her a necklace.

"It's pretty... Ma... Huh?"

"Ma soeur. It's French for my sister."

"...Thank you."

"Don't thank me. From now on, we'll always have each other. That's what my daddy tells me."

"Davina!"

"Mommy!"

"Ariel!"

"Coming, daddy! Let's meet again sometime, got it?"

Davina nods her head and hurries to her mother as Ariel runs to her father. Before leaving with their respective parents, the two girls wave back at each other.

"Who was that?"

"I finally got me a sibling!"

"Oh, really?"

"Yep! Her name is Davina! She got lost so I took her to Rousseau's and got her a sundae. Then I got her a necklace that says sister on it."

"That's nice. Maybe you can invite her over sometime so that you two can play."

"I'd really like that!"

Ariel looks back once more only to notice the glare Davina's mother is giving her father.

End of Flashback

Davina looks at her surroundings.

"Is everything okay?"

"Umm, yeah. I just have to get home soon."

"Oh, I'm sorry! I shouldn't take too much of your time!"

"It's okay, nice meeting you!" Davina tells her as she hurries away.

"Nice meeting you too!"

Caroline soon enters a music store sees two men arguing.

"So you haven't seen her?"

"No. If she passed by here, I would know! The others haven't seen her either?"

"None of my guys saw her and haven't been able to find her. They're still looking... Where could she have gone?"

"I'm sure Vina will come back."

"Umm, don't mean to intrude but are you guys talking about a girl named Davina?" She says, catching their attention. "I accidentally bumped into her a little while ago. She was carrying some sketchpads and was in a rush to get home."

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah."

"Thank you so much! Before I go, let me buy you something."

"No, you don't have to-"

"Come on, it's my treat."

"...Okay. I'm here for a trip and I'm looking for something to buy for my sister."

"Oh, first time in New Orleans. Well, I recommend the jazz section."

"Good thing that my sister loves jazz. I'm Caroline." 

"Marcel. And this here is this store's owner. Joe."

"Nice to meet you, Caroline."

"Nice to you both as well."

A while later, Ariel and Kol have returned to their original forms and Kol has returned the twins back at the house, putting them in the library. Back in the private jet, Ariel is sitting by herself while Bonnie sits in front of Kol. She notices Ariel's quietness and questions Kol about it.

"So Ariana's own uncle killed her just so he could keep his leadership and take her power?"

"Unfortunately, yes. And I thought there was no one in this world who could be as bad as my father... She hasn't said a word since she found out."

"Of course she couldn't be taking this well. Did you guys find anything out about her father?"

"No. The coven doesn't even know of Ariel's existence, Ariana made sure of that. We'll have to see if Liz and Caroline found out anything."

Before she can say anything, a portal suddenly appears.

"Where does that lead to?" Bonnie asks the couple.

"I have no bloody idea..."

"...Ariel? You're not thinking of going through that, are you?"

"I have to go through it. Wait here." Ariel says as she gets up from her seat.

Kol stands up as well. "Bonnie, wait here."

Before she can take a step, Kol grabs her hand.

"Hey, we stick together."

"...Always and forever?"

"...I love you."

"I love you more."

"Impossible."

Ariel giggles and the couple finally walk into the portal, which leads to an office filled. When taking in her surroundings, she looks next to her and he isn't there.

"Kol?!"

When looking around, she doesn't see him and her eyes widened when she focuses on something. She slowly walks towards it... On the wall is a giant portrait of Ariel wearing a white gown, just like in her dream but two small children are with her... When she reaches out to touch enter, she closes her eyes and another memory begins to come back to her...

Flashback

"Lady Noelle, I have brought them."

Noelle is sitting on a bench outside, looking at the scenery before her. "Thank you... Patience, Magnus. Come sit with me."

Patience sits next to the right of her and a young Magnus sits to her left.

"Magnus. Have you decided what you want to be when you grow up?"

"Yes! A high warlock!"

"Oh, really? That's a really big job. You sure you're up for it?"

"Yes! I'll make you real proud of me!"

She chuckles. "I already am... Patience, are you sure you want to take on my role?"

"...Why are we having this conversation?"

"Patience-"

"Why?"

"...If anything happens to me-"

"Don't go through with it. What about us?" Patience asks as tears fall from her eyes.

"Patience. It's not like you two will be alone. You have everyone else and the most important thing? You'll always have each other... And this is something I have to do. You understand, don't you?"

"Why does it have to be you?!"

"Because I have to server my ties with him... I love you both. Always. Don't ever forget that."

"...We'll love you forever." They both tell her.

End of Flashback

When she opens her eyes they glow red for a moment and return to normal but soon holds onto the wall as she clutches her chest, appearing to be in pain. She hears someone entering the room but does not look to see who it is being in so much pain.

"Oh my, are you alright?!" 

The person rushes to help her and when Ariel looks at her, it's a girl around her age with red hair and green eyes. She also notices the girl having a shocked expression on her face. "...It's you."

"Who are you and how do you know who I am?"

"...I'm...Clary Fairchild but...how is this possible? Aren't you suppose to be dead?"

"What do you mean?"

"Aren't you the woman in this portrait? You look exactly like her... Noelle-"

"Clary!"

"Darling!"

She notices Kol coming towards her and two familiar faces behind Clary.

"Were you having chest pains again?!" He asks as he checks her for injuries.

"I'm...fine. But what happened? Where did you go?"

"...Let's talk about that later."

Before Clary is asked to leave by the woman, she looks back at Ariel once more and takes her leave. Ariel steps around Kol and walks towards the two familiar people.

"Look at you... You're all grown up now."

"You look exactly as you did all those years ago...You have no idea how much we missed you." Magnus tells Ariel as he cries.

Ariel clutches her chest once more.

"Darling, you need to sit down-"

She quickly moves away from Kol and walks to the two people. She grabs ahold of the woman's shoulders and tightens her grip.

"Who are you two? Huh? Why do I feel this pain when I see the two of you?!"

"Darling, what's gotten into you?"

"I know that you're Patience. I met you when I was a child and I know you're the one who took my memories... But all of a sudden I seeing things of current me taking you in when you were a baby! You father tried to kill you and I saved your life! I also saw something of you as you are now with Magnus there when he was a child." She looks at Magnus. "I asked you what you wanted to be when you grow up and you told me a high warlock. What's going on? There's no way that those are things that took place now. So explain!"

"Ariel..." Kol tries to pull Ariel away but she just shrugs him off.

"Who are you two to me?! Who is Noelle?! Who am I?!" She feels her eyes begin to water and still does not completely understand why. "Why do I feel like I want to cry?!"

"Ariel, you must calm-"

"ANSWER ME!"

Patience lets out a sigh of relief and the tears she was holding back begin to fall. "We've waited a long time...We can wait a bit more. Here." Patience pulls herself away from Ariel and walks over to her desk. She takes something out of one of the drawers and walks back over to Ariel, handing her a journal. "Take it."

As she takes the journal, Patience wipes away Ariel's tears with her finger. "...I'm sorry... Thank you."

"Don't be sorry and we should be thanking you. You've finally to returned to us."

Kol wraps his arm around Ariel's shoulders, bringing close to him.

"...So you're the one who took my darling's memories."

"Correct."

"Then return them to her!"

Patience shakes her head. "We'll talk about that another time. For now she should rest, everything she's been seeing and feeling has been a lot for her to take in. Take her back home."

"...But-"

"Kol, I'm tired..."

"...Alright, let's get back to Bonnie and we should arrive back home shortly."

"...At least answer this... Before I was just seeing my childhood but now... Why am I seeing her life?" Ariel asks while nodding to the portrait of Noelle.

"Because there is more to you than you think, Ariel Forbes."

Magnus walks over to her desk, opening one of the drawers and takes out a small jewelry box. He opens it and takes out a beautiful pendant. Ariel recognizes it as she was wearing it in the memory.

"Take this as well."

Magnus places the pendant in her hand.

"But how-"

"Don't worry, you'll remember."

"I know you have more questions but it's time for you to go home."

Magnus summons a portal and before Ariel walks through the portal with Kol, she looks back at the Bane siblings once more. Her eyes glow red and she smiles. She mouths something to them before her eyes return to their normal color. Ariel looks confused as to why she stopped walking and looks back at Kol.

"Are you alright, Ariel?" Kol asks while caressing her cheek.

"Um...yeah... Let's go home."

After the couple walk through the portal, the Bane siblings smile.

"I'm happy that they were able to find each other after all this time."

"Yes... She missed him so much after she lost him. They must be very happy now even though they don't realize the truth yet."

"...We've missed you too... Mother." Magnus says he looks at Noelle's portrait.

Weren't to expecting that ending were you?! Especially so many familiar faces!

I'm sorry for the wait because as I was writing the final scene, it just kept changing. I just had so many ideas and was trying to figure out how I wanted to end it. And I had a few more flashbacks planned but had to save them for another chapter. Plus I may have gotten a bit distracted working on wedding plans for a certain couple...😊

I wanted to get some more Bonnie in this for those who have missed her! Now the reason you all haven't been seeing her much was to keep her less involved. Her character was the one who suffered the most from the show, so I wanted her to be like this is a decision that I'm making for myself without being taken advantage of.

Also, I've been doing some research on Shadowhunters and I might have to change the timeline and some things from the series for the plans I have. Just think of this as a bit of alternate version.
