Sorry the long wait! Now before you all start reading. Get your snacks and drinks. Sit back, relax, just get comfortable. Now you can begin.

Just like before, Ariel opens her eyes to find herself in a library this time and sees that she is a wearing another ancient and elegant light blue gown. She then feels something holding onto her legs and looks down to see a young child giggling.

"Mama!"

"Hello, my sweet Patience." Ariel says with no control of her actions.

"Are you writing more spells again?"

"Yes I was but I just finished." Ariel closes the grimiore and realizes that it's the Book of the White, the same grimiore she has in her possession in the present day. "Guess what? I will finally be teaching you how to use your magic."

"Really?!" Patience squeals.

Ariel chuckles. "Yes, you're old enough. But it will only be the simple spells, understand?"

Patience nods. "Yes, mama! Can we go visit papa?"

"Yes... Of course."

The two hold hands and leave the library. When they go outside, they walk towards a tombstone. As Ariel looks at it, the name on it says... 

Suddenly, she wakes up from her dream but sees Kol lying next to her in her bed.

"Kol...?"

"I've found you at last... Now you must bring me back.

"What? Kol, what you-"

He cuts her off by bringing her into a passionate kiss. When they finally part, he gently places his forehead against hers. "...I missed you." Without realizing it, she sheds a tear. "Bring me back." He whispers against her lips.

Once again, when Ariel wakes up her eyes glow red before going back to normal. She looks next to her and doesn't see Kol. She sits up against the headboard and feels something wet fall on her hand to soon realize that she's crying. 

"...What's happening to me? Why does my heart hurt?" She whimpers.

A few weeks later...

"I can't keep watching this... Ariel, what is all this?!"

In the kitchen, Caroline sees burgers, fries, pizza, fried chicken, and cake on the table, all being eaten by Ariel, Bonnie and Jeremy.

"What?! Can't a girl eat in peace?!"

"Do you not care about the calories?!"

"Hell no!"

"Bonnie, why didn't you stop her?!"

"...Because I was hungry..."

"Bonnie! Jeremy, why didn't you step in?!"

"Because I know not to step in-between Ariel and food. Did you forget the first and last time I did that, she beat me up with a spoon?"

Ariel gives a proud smile and sighs. "...Good times."

"...I cannot depend on you two."

"Look, you know I eat when I'm stressed!"

"Ariel, you do this all the time! You're not stressed, you're just finding an excuse to eat to distract yourself of what's going on with you! Now come here!" Caroline begins to drag Ariel away from the table.

"Let me go!"

"No! And put down that chicken leg!" Caroline takes away the chicken leg and throws it in the trash.

"No, that's wasting! I didn't even finish it, you monster!"

"If you keep this up, no burgers or cotton candy for two months!"

"You know what? I'm going out. I don't have to take this! Bonnie, you're welcome to join me."

"Where are you going?"

"To see my future brother-in-law. Surely he understands what I have to deal with. Besides I have to give him my opinion on the painting he's donating. Come on, Shadow!"

Shadow barks and runs to Ariel. After she puts his leash on, they leave.

"What's going on with her?" Bonnie asks.

Caroline sighs and thinks back to a few weeks ago...

Flashback

"Angelfish, can I come in?"

Ariel quickly wipes her tears away and tries to compose herself. "Yeah, you can come in."

Caroline comes into the room and closes the door behind her. When she looks at Ariel, she notices her tear stained face and hurries to her side.

"Are you okay?! What's wrong?!"

"I rather not talk about it."

"Did you remember something?"

"...Not exactly."

"Then what's-"

"Sis...please..."

Caroline sighs and decides to drop the subject. "Okay... But don't forget that I'm here for you."

"I know... Thanks, sis."

"Anyway, I've got something for you." She gives her the CDs she brought from New Orleans.

"Aww, you me jazz music? Thanks, sis."

"The guy who picked them out was kinda cute."

"Cute or hot?"

"...Hot but don't tell Klaus."

"Never. Get his name?"

"Yeah. It was Marcel."

All of a sudden, Ariel feels her head throbbing and winces in pain. She places a hand on her head and gasps out in pain. Caroline places her hand on Ariel's shoulders, looking at her in concern.

"Ariel?!"

As the throbbing continues, she gets a flash of someone.

"...Marcel?" Ariel whispers.

"Sis, come on! Talk to me!" Caroline gently shakes her and soon after the pain goes away. Ariel looks up at her sister and gives a small smile.

"Sorry..."

"What happened? Does your head hurt?"

"It was just a slight headache but it's gone now. Don't worry."

"...Are you sure?"

Ariel nods and hugs her. Thanks for the gift, big sis."

End of Flashback

Ariel and Shadow arrive at the Mikaelson mansion and sees Rebekah as soon as they walk inside.

"I need booze."

"...Let's raid Nik's stash."

The girls grin and run into the parlor with Shadow right behind them. Later, a buzzed Ariel lies on the couch with Shadow resting on top of her stomach and has her legs on Rebekah's lap. Finn walks in to see the state they're in or at least Ariel.

"What is the meaning of this?"

"Finnie! Give me a damn nickname already!"

"Rebekah! You let Ariel drink, especially at this time of day?!"

"She needed booze and I wanted to mess with Nik, so this was the perfect opportunity." Rebekah defends as Finn shakes his head.

"Becky, you would still take the chance of go back to being a human if you were offered, right?"

"...Why are you asking?"

"Just curious."

"...Yes. If I had the opportunity to become human again, I would take it. I want a home. A husband. Children. Grow old and die peacefully. Those are still things that I want."

"...Kids, huh?" Ariel begins to think about Patience and Magnus, their relationship to Noelle. "What about you, Finnie?"

"...Ariel, is something bothering you?"

"...Do you... Do you guys think that-"

Kol, Klaus and Elijah walk into the parlor and soon notice the empty bottles.

"Do you two drink my alcohol?!"

Shadow wakes up and begins barking thinking an intruder is attacking. He soon calms down once he notices Kol.

"Shame on you, Niklaus. You woke Shadow up." He picks him up. "There, there. It's just the mean old puppy being cranky again."

"Oh shut it. Now Ariel. Rebekah. Explain yourselves!"

"Oh look! It's Mr. Alpha and fancy pants!"

"And she's drunk."

"I'm not drunk, I'm buzzed!"

"Ariel, you rarely drink. Would you like to tell me why you were drinking my stash?"

"Your girlfriend kept getting between me and my food!"

"Darling, I don't understand. Why don't you just fight her back?"

"Kol. What's the thing I'm most terrified of?"

"Chucky?"

"Wrong, he's the second thing I most terrified of."

"Are you sure? When we did a movie marathon of that series, you were already holding onto me before the movie even started."

"...Shut up. Mr. Alpha, want to give him the correct answer?"

"Caroline."

"Correct. My sister is the one I'm most terrified of even before she became a vampire. You should understand, I mean Rebekah is your sister-"

"Ariel."

"Becky, you know I love you!" She says while hugging her. They all then hear a knock on the front door.

"I'll get her some water. Rebekah clean this mess. Klaus go answer the door." Elijah says before heading into the kitchen.

"Who part him in charge?" Klaus asks annoyed.

"Well...he is the second oldest." Klaus narrows his eyes at Ariel. "I'll shut up now."

Klaus goes to answer the door and is surprised by who the visitor is. "Bonnie?"

"Is Ariel still here?"

"Yes... Come in." He steps aside so she can walk in and leads her to the parlor. "Princess, your friend is here."

"Bonnie?"

"Hey. You seemed to be down so I got you something."

She hands her a bag and Ariel looks inside to see a carton of cotton candy ice cream.

"...Bonnie... Have I told you how much I love you?"

"Every day you do."

"Bonnie, you're the best!" Ariel pulls her in for a hug.

Later, Ariel has gotten ready for the Winter Wonderland event and is now in the town square with Kol.

"...How much longer are you going to keep looking at me like you're a lovesick puppy?"

"You look so gorgeous, I can't stop staring at you."

"What will it take for you to concentrate?"

"One kiss."

She pecks his lips and looks back at her work. "Now what do you think of my art piece? ...Kol?"

"...Breathtaking..."

"Huh?" She looks back him to see him still staring at her with a huge grin on his face. "You do see that this piece is of Shadow playing in the snow, right?"

He glances at her art piece. "Adorable." He goes back to looking at her. "But I rather continue looking at you."

She sighs. "You're lucky that Shadow isn't here to hear you say that. He would have chewed your shoes."

"No. I think he would agree with me. He has such a beautiful mother."

"Hmm..."

The two smile and kiss once more.

"Darling, I'm sorry to do this to you but I have to go. There's some business that I need to handle, I'll be back in a few days."

"Want me to come along?"

"As much as I love that, you can't. 

"Okay... Try not to kill anyone. Got it?"

"Got it." He kisses her forehead. "My siblings already know that I'm leaving for a bit but make sure to tell Shadow I'll be back soon." She nods and kisses his cheek. "I love you."

"Love you more."

"Impossible." He says making her giggle. He gives her one last kiss before leaving.

While watching Kol leave, someone taps her shoulder. She turns around to see that it's Tyler.

"Ariel... I need to tell you something."

"...Is it about whatever you were planning and I told you not to go through with it?"

"...Yes."

"And?"

"Well... Me and the other hybrids were planning on finally taking Klaus down. Hayley found us a witch that would perform the body jumping spell on Klaus. I volunteer to do it and after that they would bury me and kill my body with Klaus in it." Ariel remains quiet. "Say something."

"...Are you still going through with it?"

He sighs. "...No... I can't do it."

"Why?"

"Because you told me not to do anything that I'll regret. If I do this... I'm afraid the end result...that I may lose you... So don't worry, I called it off."

She remains quiet until she brings him into a hug. "...Thank you."

"Anything for you." He kisses the top of her head and lets her go. "...Why didn't you tell Klaus that I broke the sirebond?"

"You deserve to live you life freely without having to be under anyone's control. You should get to live your life the way that you want to."

"....Thanks... I gotta talk with my mom. I'll see you later?"

"Yep."

After watching Tyler leave, everything goes black.

Flashback

"How could you ask me to do this?! Do you not realize how dangerous it is?! There is no turning back once it is done!"

"I know... But once we complete the merge... I will still be a part of you. It'll be like I never left. And when my-"

"Mama? Sister?"

The two young woman look to see a young Magnus standing by the door.

"Magnus, what are you doing up?"

"I heard shouting. Is everything okay?" Magnus asks rubbing his tired eyes.

"Everything is fine, sweetie. Come on, let's get you back to bed." She picks him and turns back to Patience.

"Patience... I'm sorry to ask you to do this but...it must be done."

End of Flashback

In the woods, the hybrids stand together while Ariel is unconscious and tied up against a tree.

"Where the hell is the witch? Adrian should be here any minute."

One of the hybrids looks at Ariel with a guilty expression. 

"Did we really have to get the girl involved?"

"It was either her or his girlfriend, he cares for them both. And that shows that she is just as bad as he is. So why are you sympathizing with her for?"

"Tyler always talked about her remember? She's a good person-"

"Yeah and where is Tyler right now? He turned his backs on us for her."

After hearing a noise nearby, the hybrids turn to see Adrian.

"Kim."

Suddenly Adrian's heart is torn from his body.

"NO!"

When Adrian falls to the ground, the hybrids see a fuming Klaus behind him. Klaus drops the heart onto the ground and steps on it. He then sees the unconscious Ariel. "You've all got some nerve."

They all notice him holding a sword and before can rushes towards them, a voice stops him...

"Wait... Allow us."

Back at the town square, Caroline bumps into Jeremy.

"Whoa! What's the hurry?"

"Have you seen Hayley?"

"No... Why?"

"Because that bitch snapped my neck!"

"Something is going on! When I went to the bathroom, I caught her talking about taking Klaus down and when I confronted her about it, she snapped my neck! Neither Klaus or Ariel are answering their phones! And Kol isn't answering his phone either!"

Jeremy face is now filled with concern as he looks towards the woods, when he last saw Klaus...

Tyler sees Hayley walking through the crowd and walks over to her.

"Tyler!"

"Hayley? What's up?"

"I don't know how to explain it but... I never intended to put Klaus down. I needed him for the sacrifice."

"What the hell are you talking about? The plan has been called off."

"No it hasn't. The others are still going through with it and I gave them the idea to take Ariel as a hostage. Klaus has gone after them now."

"You bitch!" He grabs her throat.

"I'm sorry but I made a deal with someone who can help me find my family!"

"What kind of deal?!" She doesn't answer. "Answer me!"

"There needed to be twelve hybrids for the sacrifice, Tyler! Hybrids! There's no point in trying to stop it! The sacrifice is almost completed! Ariel already killed twelve humans!"

"What...?" He asks confused and remembers when Ariel and Katherine rescued them from Pastor Young.

"Once you get there, it will already be too late! All is needed now are twelve witches! If you run now, you might make it out alive!"

He throws her to the ground and she clutches her throat as she coughs. "I'll deal with you later."

Caroline holds onto Jeremy as she uses her speed to search for Klaus and Ariel in the woods. Once they find Klaus, she lets Jeremy go and rushes to hug him.

"Are you okay?!"

"I'm fine but..."

"What?"

She pulls away when he doesn't answer her. She then looks in the direction he's looking in to see multiple people wearing black gear with hoods, all holding either swords or daggers. All around them are the dead bodies of the hybrids. One them walks towards Klaus, Caroline and Jeremy. However they cannot see the person's face. Klaus soon notices that Ariel is no longer there.

"Where is Ariel?!"

"Ariel is fine, our leader is with her. They should be near the town square."

"And we should just trust that?"

"Klaus, please. Who are you people?" Caroline steps forward.

"You need not worry about that. Just think of us as...Ariel's allies."

A portal appears and before they can walk through, Caroline stops them. "Wait! You're just like her..."

"...You're hunters, aren't you?" Jeremy asks.

One of the people with black gear walks towards them and stands in front of the white cloaked person.

"If you're still hesitant, tell your sister my name." The person removes their hood revealing... "Clary Fairchild. She'll vouch for us. Now we'll be taking our leave."

The others begin to go through the portal and Clary and follows after them.

"Caroline. do you have any idea who those people were?"

Before she answers him, she notices Klaus is no longer there.

"Where's Klaus?"

Flashback

A young Ariel is standing in a field and sees a young man leaning against a tree. She runs over to him.

"Well, aren't you a cutie?"

"Hey, mister! What's your name? I'm Ariel."

"That's a pretty name." He smiles brightly hearing her giggle. "My name is Kol."

"Nice to meet you, Kol."

"Nice to meet you as well. Want to know a secret?"

"It's bad to tell other people's secrets without permission."

"Don't worry, it's my secret."

"Hmm... Okay!"

She opens her eyes and smiles seeing her father sitting on her bed.

"Morning, sunshine. What are you smiling about?"

"I had a really nice dream!"

"Oh, really? What was it about?"

"My soulmate!" She giggles.

End of Flashback

"...Wake up."

Ariel opens her eyes to see Patience above her, making her realize she's laying on Patience's lap. She groans as she sits up and places her hand above her heart.

"Hey, easy!"

"...What... What happened?"

"The hybrids knocked you out and held you hostage to get to Klaus." She sighs. "Why did you become friends with that guy? Him and that family of his cause so much trouble. Let's not forget the Salvatores as well."

"Wait... Well then where is Klaus?!"

"He went after the hybrids but my people already took care of them. I took you away from there when Klaus wasn't looking. By the way, I used your phone and texted that bubbly girl to let her know you were safe and wait for you at home."

"...Oh no." She quickly stands and almost falls over until Patience catches her.

"Could you be careful?!"

"I have to find Klaus!" She gets out of Patience's grip and and runs into the town square.

Patience sighs. "Still so stubborn." She says before going after her.

Ariel eventually finds Klaus about to drown Carol in the fountain.

"Klaus, stop!"

He turns around to see Ariel but keeps a hold on Carol.

"Why should I? This was all Tyler's doing so I'm returning the favor."

"But it has nothing to do with Carol so don't punish her! Besides the hybrids went against Tyler after he called it off!"

"Does it matter? It was still his doing. You even got hurt because of him."

"Look we can work this out but I need you to let Carol go. Please."

"He needs to be taught a lesson!"

"Klaus, let her go! Now! Do it for me."

"Hey! How about you settle things with her?" They all see Patience coming towards them while dragging Hayley by her hair.

"Let go of me!"

Patience stands next to Ariel and throws Hayley to the ground in front of them.

"I assume you're the leader those people were talking about."

"Yes and I think this is the one that you really want. Now let go of Mrs. Lockwood."

Klaus looks at Ariel whom still has a pleading look and finally lets go of Carol. Ariel rushes over to her and helps her up.

"Ariel-"

"It's okay. Call Tyler and get home, okay?"

"Are you sure?"

Ariel nods and after Carol leaves, she turns to Hayley.

"Look, you have to understand! I was just trying to find more out about my family!"

"That's no excuse. Look how many people died because of you. Did ever stop to think that they may have families? I asked you if you were going to be a problem and you lied to my face... Now you have to pay the price for your stupidity."

"You wouldn't understand! You-"

"Oh, I wouldn't understand? Hayley, let me tell you something... Just like you, I'm adopted. But I would never be able to do what you did just to get information about my family. I can't destroy the lives of others just to find out who I really am. Did you ever stop to think of the consequences of your actions? You were selfish and reckless at the expanse of others' lives."

"...Ariel, go over there. You don't need to see this."

"Klaus-"

"Now."

"I'll take her." Patience grabs Ariel's arm and pulls her away.

After the two leave, Klaus grabs the back of Hayley's neck and drags her over to the fountain. She screams but Klaus dunks her head into the water. She tries to fight him off but he continues his hold on her until she finally stops moving. 

Outside the town square, Patience summons a portal.

"Go home and please stay out of trouble."

"It's not like I asked to get kidnapped."

Patience rolls her eyes and summons another portal for herself and before can go through, Ariel hugs her whom is surprised by her actions.

"What's this for?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"...I'm not sure but I just feel sorry towards you... You know my heart still hurts when I look at you. But why?"

Patience sighs and lets Ariel go. "Figure it out! Now go home and stop feeling sorry!"

"...You're bossy." She says before going through her portal.

"...What can say? I got it from my mother."

Ariel is back at the Forbes home and is tackled in a hug by Caroline and Jeremy.

"Sis! Are you okay?" Caroline squeezes her tighter.

"I'm fine."

"You had us worried sick!" Jeremy squeezes her tighter as well.

"Are you two going to squeeze the life out of me?"

"Is that so wrong?"

"Do you want cotton candy? Let's go to your cotton candy machine!"

Ariel gasps. "Who are you and what have you done with my sister?"

Back in her room, Ariel opens the drawer to her nightstand. She takes out the pendant and journal she received from Patience and Magnus. Elsewhere, Kol stands in front a giant portrait.

"I didn't expect you to come." Magnus say as he goes to stand next to Kol.

"How could I not after seeing this the last time? Now do you mind explaining the meaning of this?" Kol says pointing at the picture. "Who the bloody hell is this?" The portrait is revealed to be of Kol wearing white and black armor while holding a sword.

"Who do you think it is?"

"I'm not in the mood to play games. Who is this man and why does he look like me?"

Flashback

"Darling!"

"You're back again? How much longer are you going to continue pursuing me?"

"Until you say yes."

"Well, that's never going to happen."

"I'm pretty sure you'll say yes. There's no way you can continue resisting this."

"You sound very confident."

"That's because I am."

"Then tell me, Johnathan... What is it about me that you like so much?"

"...When we first met, do you know how I felt? Like I was looking at my entire world... You've captured my heart, Noelle Fairchild."

End of Flashback

Ariel opens the journal with it saying, "This journal belongs to Johnathan Shadowhunter."

"Kol... He's Johnathan Shadowhunter... The first shadowhunter to have ever existed."

SURPRISE! Now some of you may know who Jonathan Shadowhunter is but Noelle Fairchild is my own creation! You'll find out more about her later!

Bye bye, Hayley! Now originally I was going to have Ariel kill her but for some reason, changed my mind. Sorry for those who liked her but I just can't with her. Whenever Hayley is featured in any of my TVD/TO/Legacies stories, she will get killed off sometime during the story already be dead, or I may have her leave. Just letting you all know!
