Originally this scene was meant to be in The Rager but I was having a tough time trying to write it out. When I managed to get an idea, I felt it would have made the chapter too long and wouldn't had fit the happy ending I was going for. So I decided to go ahead and release the chapter and give this scene at a later time. Hope you all enjoy this!

After the mingling, playing games and eating birthday cake, it is time to open presents.

"So whose present is next? Stefan?"

Stefan shakes his head. "Don't look at me. I'm going last."

Rebekah giggles. "Not very confident in your gift are you?

"Oh, I'm very confident in my gift."

"Well then, I'll go next." Jeremy goes to the table and hands Ariel her gift. She passes Shadow over to Kol, unties the ribbon and removes the tissue wrapping.

"Oh my god, I love this!" A mug with brightly colors word written "BEST SISTER IN THE WORLD" on one side and the other side is a painted portrait of her. "...Jer you're going to make me cry!"

"Don't you dare!"

"See what did I tell you, mate?"

"Wait... My devilish brother approved of your work?!"

Ariel smacks Kol's arm and hugs Jeremy. "I love this, Jer. Thank you so much."

We're next!" After Ariel carefully places the mug on the table, Matt and Tyler pick her up causing her to giggle. They set her down in front of their covered gift.

Rebekah rolls her eyes. "Bloody hell, this is your gift? You didn't even wrap it!"

"We thought we add more to the suspense."

"...What is it?"

"Take the cover off."

Ariel slowly begins to remove the cover. Her eyes widened and mouth slightly hangs open. "OH."

Klaus facepalms. "Bloody hell."

"MY."

Caroline smacks both Matt and Tyler's arms. "Guys, seriously?!"

"GOD!!! YOU GUYS GOT ME A COTTON CANDY MACHINE?!"

She quickly plugs it in, waiting for the cotton candy to make before eating it. Bonnie joins her.

"Bonnie!"

"What? Ariel always says that cotton candy gives life."

"Now my daughter will refuse to go to sleep at night thanks to you two."

"...Doesn't she do that anyway, Ms. Forbes?"

"Okay, smart mouth."

"Bonnie?"

Bonnie hands her the birthday bag. She puts her hand in to take out a fox plushie. "So cute!"

"Why a fox?"

"Because foxes are her favorite animal."

"And they remind me of Kol!"

"Darling, I only let that nickname slide because I love you so much."

"Mm hmm. Becky?"

"Upgraded your wardrobe with Gucci."

"Yay! Eli?"

"The entire collections of "His Dark Materials" and "The Immortals" series'.

"Yes! Finnie?"

"Enough of that ridiculous nickname. Kol told me that you love candles, so I got you a set of Chesapeake Bay candles."

"You're so awesome! Kat?"

"A collection of Christian Louboutin heels."

"I love you... Nicky?"

"It's something meant for you and Kol."

"Huh?"

Klaus walks over to his gift and removes the sheet. Revealing it to be a painted portrait of Ariel and Kol. Her eyes glisten with tears while Kol looks astonished.

"Do you like it?"

She goes to hug him. "I love it."

"You've outdone yourself, brother."

Caroline and Liz look at each other then back to everyone. "We'll go next." The two walk towards Ariel and Liz picks up their gift, handing it to Ariel. She opens it, seeing a photo charm bracelet. A photo of Ariel, Caroline and Liz lies inside the charm. Other charms include a heart, an angel and cotton candy. Liz takes the charm and puts the bracelet of Ariel's right wrist. "Nothing has made us happier than you being a part of this family, angelfish."

"...Thanks mom. Thanks sis. I love you guys."

"We love you too, sweetheart."

"I guess it's my turn now."

Stefan offers his arm which Ariel accepts. He takes her outside with everyone else following after them. Her mouth drops open once he reveals his gift. 

"...YOU GOT ME A MOTORCYCLE?!"

"Happy birthday, little sister."

"I love you so much! And my leather jacket compliments it perfectly!"

"Stefan, how could you?!"

"Your mom gave me permission." He says as he helps Ariel with her helmet.

"Mom!"

"Sis, don't complain. You get the honor of being the first one to ride with me."

"...Seriously?"

"Of course! Get on!"

"Ariel, we're wearing dresses!"

Ariel helps Caroline put on her helmet. "Come on, sis! Live a little! Just sit properly so that nothing shows."

The two get onto the motorcycle. "Hang on tight!" Ariel revs up the motorcycle and drives away from the Salvatore home.

"This is so awesome!"

"BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!"

After a long drive around the town, the sisters finally return home. They see a gift with a card lying on top of it left on the front porch.

"Another birthday gift?" Ariel looks at Caroline who shakes her head.

"Don't look at me."

Ariel picks up the card and beings to read it. "Ariel, you're eighteen now and I've sensed that you been getting a few memories back. How do I know? Because I am the one who took them in the first place. You must have questions but I cannot answer those now. I will in time though. For now, I think it's time to return this you'll find this gift very helpful for the powers you possessed a long time ago. And I trust you enough on which spells to use and not use. Happy birthday, my friend." She unwraps the gift and opens the box to find a book with the title, "Book of the White".

"What is that?"

"...I think it's a grimoire..." She picks up the book and opens it, flipping through the pages. "It has spells and recipes!"

"But who sent it and how do they know you?"

Unknown to the sisters, the people that Ariel bumped into at the hospital are watching them.

"Alec... Doesn't she look familiar to you?"

"Is it really important? We should head back."

"But-"

A portal opens from behind them and a woman comes through. Seemingly annoyed at the two. "What are you two doing here?"

"We had word that there was a demon here but there were no signs of one. So we just heading back-"

"Of course there aren't demons here, I've made sure of that."

"We saw this girl today who can see us but-"

"The girl is not your concern. She is under my protection."

"...You knew about her?"

"Do I have to tell you my business? Do not return to this town unless I allow you to come here, I handle the demon business here. I thought I made that perfectly clear."

"But it's our job as shadowhunters-"

"Isabelle. It's your job to handle the demons in New York. And you know better than to question me. Now go home."

She steps aside, allowing them to walk through the portal. Before she leaves as well, she watches the sisters a bit more.

"...Maybe, I should try-"

"Ariel, don't you dare!"

She quickly chants one of the incantations and a portal appears, shocking the sisters in front of them.

"What the hell is that?!"

"...It's a portal." She hands the grimiore to Caroline.

"To where?!"

"Let's find out!"

"You can't just-"

Ariel runs into the portal and finds herself in front of the Salvatore boarding house. "...THAT WAS SO COOL!"

"...Ariel."

She turns around to see Katherine and Jeremy looking at her very confused. "Shortcake... What was... How did you...?"

"I'll explain another time!" She chants the spell again and another portal appears. "Later!"

She goes through it and the two look dumbfounded. "What just happened?"

Once Ariel returns home, Caroline begins smacking her arms. "Ariel Claudine Forbes!"

"Hey, hey! Why do you have to be using my full name?!"

"Don't you ever do that again!"

"It's my birthday, I can do what I want!"

The woman chuckles at the sisters antics and before walking into the portal, she says, "I'll see you soon."

Ooh, the mystery! Who is Ariel really? What do you think of the mysterious woman and why she is protecting Ariel? Which was your favorite gift?

And I'm going to be completely honest. I've never watched Shadowhunters and I never will. I've only watched the movie, Mortal Instruments but haven't seen that in years. It's nothing against the show, it's just me and abc family/freeform left off on bad terms. I haven't watched that channel or any of their shows in years.

So I need some help in regarding warlocks powers. I've been to the wikia and they're not giving much info, only showing what other species can do with magic. I need to know about what warlocks can do. So can anyone link me or something to incantations and abilities?

For those who don't know, I announced that if this story had got to 10K reads, I would be doing a double update of The Killer and My Brother's Keeper which will be the finale of Act II!
