"...It's rude to stare." Rebekah says to Damon.

"Why did she have to get paired with your brother?" Damon mutters, angrily staring at the pair.

Kol continues staring deeply into Ariel's eyes until he slowly smiles and begins their dance.

"Kol Mikaelson. Ariel Forbes, right? You're the one that my siblings are so attached to. Tell me what makes you so special?"

"Huh?" She blinks. "I don't know. All I did was cuss Klaus out when I first met him. Well that was more for Katherine Pierce's sake. I told Elijah that he's cooler than the Salvatore brothers. And I told Rebekah I liked her after she insulted Elena." He chuckles at her blabbering. "Sorry, I talk a lot when I get nervous. I must be annoying you."

He leans down and whispers in her ear, "Not at all, darling." She shivers causing him to smirk at his effect of her.

Ariel is back to feeling as if she's in a trance with Kol, as if it's only the two of them throughout the entire room.

"Your dancing skills are quite impressive." He compliments, taking in her appearance.

"Of course. My sister would always drag me to dance rehearsals." She replies, finally managing to look away from him.

"You sound like you didn't enjoy it." He says, chuckling again.

"Of course I didn't. I missed so many dates with burgers because she forced me in joining school clubs and dance classes. Then she forbid from cotton candy every time we were done with a rehearsal." She mutters earning a amused look from him.

He stares at her for a moment before speaking again. "I know this is a strange thing to say but you look familiar."

"That is strange because I'm not a ancient grandmother." Her eyes widened realizing what she just said. "No offense."

"None taken." He chuckles.

Once the dance is over, he takes her hand and kisses it, causing her to blush. "Thank you for the dance. It's a pleasure meeting the most gorgeous woman here."

He gives her another smile before taking his leave.

Ariel placing a hand over her beating heart. "Why is my heart beating so fast?!"

Rebekah who had been watching the two, hurries after him. Ariel jumps when someone links their arms with hers. She relaxes when she realizes that it's her sister.

"Having fun?"

"...I need another mocktail."

Caroline giggles, leading Ariel over to the snack table.

Kol sits outside on a bench, solemnly looking out at the garden.

"Found you." He glances up seeing his younger sister who sits down next to him. "...I noticed you danced with Ariel."

Kol sighs and closes his eyes, knowing where this is going.

"Rebekah."

"It's been a thousand years. Isn't it time that you moved on?"

"Is that what that is? You replaced Ariel with her?" He scoffs and stands up. "You know it's not that simple for me to let go. All of you know why and you want to move on?!"

He is about to walk away but she quickly stands up and grabs his wrist to prevent him from leaving.

"How do you expect to find any answers? It's been a thousand years! Holding onto the past like this isn't helping yourself. I'm scared you'll end up snapping again and go on another rampage!" Her eyes begin to glisten with tears. "Because of what you had become, we didn't even recognize you! Kol, please... I just want my brother back."

"...Rebekah... The old Kol died a long time ago. Isn't it time that you moved on?" He retorts making her eyes widened.

He pulls his wrist out of her grip and heads back inside. She sheds a tear, watching him go.

"So... You danced with Damon and Kol, huh?" Caroline asks Ariel with a grin.

"Dancing with Damon is nothing new. As for Kol..." Ariel shrugs before grabbing another mocktail and taking a sip. "He was...nice. We had a nice chat.

"Is that all?" Caroline asks and Ariel nods. Caroline then smirks, crossing her arms. "Then why are you blushing?"

"I am not!" A blushing Ariel turns away from her sister.

"Then why are you looking away from me? I saw your cheeks turning pink!" Caroline giggles and begins tickling her sister.

"Stop it!" Ariel laughs, running to the other side of the table.

"Seeing Kol for the first time I can't believe how hot he is! He's also charming and even has an accent!" Caroline teases, noticing her sister playfully rolling her eyes and trying not to smile. "If you two got together you'd be-"

"Don't start!" Ariel pouts. "What about you and Klaus, huh?!"

"Dance with me." Caroline reaches out for Ariel who giggles.

"Trying to get out of this now that the tables have turned, huh? Tell me if he's going to be my future brother-in-law! He's charming, hot and even has an accent!" Ariel teases, throwing back Caroline's exact words right at her.

"Shut up and dance with me." Caroline blushes and leads her laughing sister to the dance floor. "I'm so getting you back for this!"

"Finn, right?"

A surprised Finn looks to his left to see Ariel standing next to him.

"Ariel Forbes, nice to finally meet you." She smiles, putting her hand out.

He stares at her hand for a few seconds, accepting her hand and shaking it. Suddenly he is filled with warmth, something he hasn't felt in a very long time.

"Shouldn't you be hanging out with Rebekah or Klaus right now?" He asks, confused about the warmth he feels and to why she's speaking to him.

She lets go of his hand. "I hadn't gotten to meet the eldest sibling yet so I thought I introduce myself. Besides you just rejoined society. Welcome to the twenty-first century! If you like a tour of the worst town or which are the best burgers, I'm happy to help."

"You do know my family is from here." He says, almost laughing.

"Yeah but like I said this is the twenty-first century. You need to get with the times now. It's better that I'm your guide than Elijah."

She sees Rebekah waving to get her attention.

"It's time, gotta go! Until next time, Finn!" After taking a few steps she stops and turns back to him. "Oh and if he tells you to say OMG out loud, don't do it." She gasps, putting her fingers to her mouth. "I just said it!"

He watches her quickly head over to Rebekah and the two head upstairs. He shakes his head and chuckles.

"She's an interesting girl."

Caroline and Klaus are in his art studio and he watches her as she looks at his paintings.

"If you take me to Tokyo before Ariel gets the chance, she'll faint from the betrayal." She jokes making him laugh.

"Well she could go as well or...it can be our little secret." He flirts making her blush and turn away from him.

"Wow..." She whispers in awe of his talent. However an unfinished portrait catches her attention.

"That one is still a work in progress." He says moving to stand her side. "It will be one of the best pieces I have made in my entire lifetime."

"Who is it supposed to be?" She asks in a curious tone.

"...The best and worse thing that happened to my family." He answers, tears threatening to fall from his eyes.

Kol walks around, politely greeting the guests and stops when he notices a pouting strawberry blonde standing near the entrance. The longer he stares at her, he gets that indescribable feeling again.

"Just what is it with her? Why do I keep feeling this way whenever I look at her?" He lets out frustrated sigh and walks straight towards her.

After arguing with Elena, Damon sees Ariel and unfortunately Kol making his way over to her. He quickly walks towards him and steps in Kol's path with a fake smile.

"We haven't had the pleasure. Salvatore. Damon Salvatore." Damon introduces himself, putting his hand out. "Have we met?"

"Kol Mikaelson." Kol introduces himself, accepting his hand and shaking it. "I think I would remember a strapping young lad like you." The sarcasm clear in his voice earning a glare from Damon. "If you'll excuse me, I need to speak with someone."

"You mean that stunning angel behind me who also happens to be my best friend? Sorry but her schedule's packed." Damon says with a sarcastic smile. "How about you talk to me instead? Sure I can help you out."

Kol sighs and shakes his head. "I have no business with you. But I'm sure that your lovely lady will be able to help me with my problem. So I'm going to need you to step aside, mate."

"And I'm going to need you to stay away from her." Damon snaps, taking a step towards the older vampire.

"Easy. Do you want to create a scene here because I can promise you that I'll happily throw you off the balcony." Kol smiles, patting Damon's shoulder.

After sneaking into Elijah's room with Rebekah's help and peeking into his closet, Ariel was eventually caught by Elijah. She mopes near the entrance after being forced to dance with him.

"I swear one of these days I'm going to change his wardrobe. It really was just all suits in there!" She pouts.

She suddenly jumps when hearing a thud outside. She slips out the door to see Damon on the ground and Kol landing on the ground after jumping off the balcony. He then kicks Damon while he's down.

"Kol, what are you doing?!" Ariel yells, getting Kol's attention.

"Oh, darling! I'm sorry you had to see this but I had to teach your boyfriend a lesson for trying to pick a fight with me!"

"Wh- He's not my boyfriend! He's undecided!" She blushes more so because of the nickname. "And do you have to fight? Can't you just bitch slap him with a pancake or something?!"

Damon rushes towards Kol, landing on top of him and repeatedly punches him.

"Damon, have you lost it?! Knock it off!" She screams at him.

Her protests go ignored and Damon throws another punch at Kol who just laughs.

"Is that all you got? After all that big talk, I thought you be more of a challenge. Maybe it's no wonder you can't get the girl." Kol taunts.

Damon can throw another punch, Ariel grabs hold onto his arm, trying to pull him off of Kol.

"Damon! Are you crazy?!" Stefan yells at his brother as Caroline, Elena, and the rest of the Mikaelsons minus Rebekah join them.

With Stefan's help, Ariel pulls Damon away while the rest of the Mikaelson brothers help Kol up.

"Damon, are you seriously acting like this right now? What the hell is wrong with you?! Have you lost your mind?!" Ariel snaps at him.

"Maybe... Far be it from me to cause a problem." Damon snaps, glaring at Elena who looks guilty.

As Damon walks away, Ariel glares at Elena seeing how Damon was staring at her the entire time. "Thanks, Elena. Once again, I have to clean up your mess."

Elena becomes hurt by Ariel's words as the latter faces the siblings and apologizes for Damon's behavior. The siblings, except Kol, nod at her.

"See you, Finnie. Let's hang out sometime." She smiles, patting his shoulder.

Klaus laughs while Elijah has an amused smile. However, Finn looks appalled by the nickname. "Finnie?"

She then walks over to Kol, staring at him for a second before flicking his forehead, shocking everyone.

"I know that you just got back to society but the next you want to create a scene just talk to me. It'll be less chaos my way." She sternly tells him.

She walks away, leaving him stunned. Klaus and Elijah worriedly glance at each other.

Before going after Damon, Ariel yells out "Sis, I'll meet you back home!"

"...That girl has her hands full." Caroline mumbles after sighing.

Before Damon can drive away, the passengers door opens and Ariel slips inside.

"What was that all about? Why is it never possible for you to go one day without trouble when I'm with you?!" Ariel snaps, smacking his arm.

"Never? Did you forget that time I picked up you and your sister from cheerleading practice?" He asks, eyebrow raised.

"Oh please! That jock who flirted with me and called me a not-so-nice-word after I rejected him, you compelled him to strip down to his cartoon briefs out on the football field in front of everyone!" She retorts.

"He deserved it!" He sighs and leans his head back against the seat. "Look this is why I didn't want you to come here in the first place!

"Oh so now it's my fault that you can't control yourself from getting in a fight?!"

"No! I just-"

"Why do you have to keep fighting with the Mikaelsons? They're not that much different from you and Stefan." She raises her eyebrow after he sits back up and glares at her. "What? Are you mad because you know I'm right?"

"No, I'm mad at you because-!" He pauses and suddenly takes a deep breath, facing back to the wheel. "We're done talking about this. I'm taking you home."

"Nope! You owe me ribs. Elena pisses you off that much that you leave me back there with her?! How dare you!"

"Fine." He mutters, driving away. "And what did you mean "undecided"?!"

"Wear the t-shirt and you get your title back! Now tell me what Elena did so I can bitch slap her with a pancake!"

How do you guys feel about Ariel? I've made her way more funnier and of course she will still call people out on their bs. Even her love for burgers and cotton candy haven't faded away!😊
