Ariana's POV

"So what's the plan?" Bilbo asks as we head for Raven hill on horse back.

"Find Thorin and the others, warn them of the other army. Then get the hell out of there" I state.

"What if they aren't together?" he asks me.

"I hate to say it, but if that's the case. We'd have to split up" I tell him.

"Don't worry I can defend myself" he assures me.

"I'm always gonna worry about you Bilbo" I tell him.

"Remember Erebor when we were talking to Smaug?" he asks me.

"Yeah, you appeared out of thin air" I state.

"I found something while you and the others fought the goblins. A magic ring, that allows me to turn invisible. I'll be ok" he tells me.

"You had better be" I tell him as we arrive. I dismount and help him off of the horse. "You die, I will bring you back and kill you myself brother, we clear?" I ask him.

"Clear, good luck Ariana" he says hugging me tightly.

"Good luck Bilbo" I tell him and we split up. I head to the ruins while he heads along the cliff. I pray we both make it out of this alive. That we find the others before Bolg or Azog do. That we all survive this battle.

I soon hear a fight nearby and pick up speed. If there's a fight, the others may need help. I know I am still learning, but I don't care. My friends need me, I have a sword, and I can fight. "Kili!" I hear a female voice shout.

"Tauriel!" I hear Kili shout back and I follow their voices. As I reach an arch way I see Bolg sneaking up in a red haired she elf.

"Look out!" I shout and she turns. Bolg throws her into a wall and she screams. "Hey ugly, pick on someone your own size!" I snap drawing my sword. I swing it and he parries. Kili joins the fight along with the she elf. Who I guess is Tauriel. "Kili, where are the others?" I ask him.

"I don't know, but Fili is dead. Azog killed him" he answers quickly as Tauriel strikes out at Bolg. Who blocks her blow. As Kili and I engage in sword fight with two new orcs that just appeared. "Tauriel can't take on Bolg alone" he tells me.

"Go, I can handle this!" I shout.  He nods and ducks under a sword and takes off to where Tauriel is fighting Bolg. Leaving me to face the two orcs alone. But at least one is injured. I manage to kill both, but not without being hurt and I lost sight of Kili & Tauriel. Along with Bolg.

I take off in the last direction I saw Kili go. Praying they're ok. "No!" I hear Tauriel shout and reach the top of a stair case. I see Bolg with Kili bent over his knee, impaled. I yell and jump onto his back.

"Ahh!" he yells and tries to throw me off at he drops Kili. I hold on tight and stab him with my knife. As Tauriel gets to her feet. She leaps at Bolg and he stumbles under both our weights. I notice the cliff near us.

"Tauriel!" I shout and nod to it. She nods her head and twists us around. She pushes off the ruins sending us all over to cliff. I fall off and cling to the edge as they rolled down to a ledge. Bolg gets up first. "Tauriel, he's behind you!" I shout as she rolls onto her side. I look around and decide to do something stupid. I let go of the ledge and push away from it towards Bolg.

I land on his back and groan in pain. "Get away from her!" I shout. He grabs my hair and tosses me into the cliff face. I scream in pain from the collision. He starts to advance on me as I see a tower falling behind him. Bolg looks and sees it to. I use the distraction to crawl towards Tauriel. I sigh in relief when I see she is alive.

The tower finishes it's fall creating a bridge. On it is a blonde elf that looks like Thranduil, but younger. This must be his son. Bolg and him begin to fight. "Kili" Tauriel says weakly looking up. "Is he ok?" she asks me.

"I don't know" I tell her with tears in my eyes. "Will he need our help?" I ask nodding to the blonde elf. She shakes her head and gets to her feet, stumbling. I get up and support her. "Together" I tell her and she nods her head. Together we climb back up to where we last saw Kili. And our worst fears were confirmed, he's dead.

Tauriel holds him close crying. How am I supposed to tell Thorin he's lost both his nephews? Is Bilbo ok? If only I had been faster, Kili might still be alive. Fili might still be alive. The blonde elf appears and I look up at him. "Bolg is dead" he states and I nod my head and get to my feet. Retrieving my sword. "Where are you going?" he asks.

"My brother is still here somewhere, as are our other friends. I must find them" I state. I go to leave and pause looking back at him. "Thank you for finding me in Mirkwood Prince Legolas and seeing that I got healed. I pray your father realizes what your mother would have wanted him to cherish most" I tell him before leaving to search for Bilbo.

I find him with hugging Thorin as eagles soar over head. "Did you find the others?" Bilbo asks me.

"We were to late" I tell him as I kneel beside him. Wrapping my arms around him crying. "Fili and Kili are dead, is Thorin?" I ask him sniffling.

"Yes, but he managed to kill Azog. The battle is over" he says sadly. He hugs me back. Today we won the battle. By killing Azog and his son Bolg. But we lost three dear friends, Fili, Kili and Thorin in the process. Was it worth it? Only time will tell.
