Alright so this is going to be a bit difficult to explain ((I think so anyway)) but troll naming is very specific. As with Kid naming ((which I realized I never touched on in this book; kids have a four-letter first name and either a six- or seven-letter last name. No more and no less)) troll naming has its rules. I'll just handle this topic myself.

Rule number one: Troll names absolutely must have twelve letters in total; six in the first name, six in the last name. No more, no less. If and when you get to creating fantrolls this will help you.
Rule number two: troll names can have something to do withsome aspect of themselves, but they don't necessarily have to. Take the Alpha (Damara Megido, Rufioh Nitram, Mituna Captor, Kankri Vantas, Meulin Leijon, Porrim Maryam, Latula Pyrope, Aranea Serket, Horuss Zahhak, Kurloz Makara, Cronus Ampora and Meenah Peixes) and Beta trolls (Aradia Megido, Tavros Nitram, Sollux Captor, Karkat Vantas, Nepeta Leijon, Terezi Pyrope, Vriska Serket, Equius Zahhak, Gamzee Makara, Eridan Ampora, and Feferi Peixes) for example. See? Six letters in each name, totalling twelve letters. I do believe it's because 'Andrew Hussie's, the creator of this piece of shit comic, name has twelve letters total. So yeah. It's actually quite interesting.

On another note, I suppose I should explain how the trolls' names relate to their character. I'll use Vriska and Aranea Serket as examples. 'Vriska' derives from the Sanskrit 'Vrishchika' whips means Scorpio, and 'Serket' is the name of the Egyptian scorpion goddess. As for Aranea... it's obvious it's something to do with spider. (Ew.) Anyway, it refers to a specific genus of spider that includes orb-weaver spiders.
