Chapter 8

Saturday was a bore, even after what had happened last night.

I made sure not to go outside in case I bumped into him.

I seriously never wanted to see his face again.

I hated him. I loathed him. I wanted him dead.

If only the law made it legal to kill people.

The rest of the day I had to watch whatever was on TV. Too bad my laptop was broken, or I would have just watched an anime.

I'm currently watching that one where there's those huge monster things eating people, what's it called, 'Attack on Titan' or something?

Anyway as soon as my laptop is fixed, I'm going to finish watching it. Its a good show.I really love the character Marco, he's cute. Hope he doesn't get eaten! (A/N sorry)

I went to the bar when it was time for my shift.

Sure enough, Amy had a feeling I was a bit off.

'What's the matter, Rave, you seem kind of down.' She inquired

'oh its nothing,' I reassured her.

'Okay then!' She exclaimed, changing back into her happy state far too quickly.

'Wow,' I whispered under my breath but I guess I said it too loud because Amy had heard me.

'What's wrong?' She questioned once again.

I broke a sweat. 'Its just, how can you be so hyper and happy all the time?' I said nervously.

Her wide smile faded away. She started to fidget.

'Can I tell you something,' she finally stammered in a soft voice.

'Of course,'

'Two years ago, my Dad left us. He didn't die or anything, he just left. My mom, my brothers and even I had lost hope. Its like when he left, he took our happiness with us. Our house got darker and darker till a point when we all thought we'd gone mad. That's why I decided, I'd always be happy. I'm not doing it for myself, I'm doing it for my family, my mother, my brothers, so they can smile just like me. I never want my house to be dark again. Like it was before. '

She stopped and let out a little sob before continuing

'I'm sorry if I've bored you with my problems-'

'No, don't worry,' I told her, giving her a hug to cheer her up.

After my shift was over I walked home alone as per usual.

It was quiet. A little too quiet. Not the kind I was fond of, the kind that sent shivers down your spine.

I walked a little faster.

It was like the street went on forever and ever.

The air was still. No wind. It seemed strange. The only time I'd actually brought a coat and it wasn't even cold!

Then suddenly, there was a shout from behind me

'Hey you!' A male voice shouted. The footsteps were getting closer.

My blood ran cold and an actual shiver ran down my spine.

I ran.

(A/N Tried to make this chapter emotional as possible, poor Amy. It might be a bit short, sorry about that. And also sorry for not updating in a while but trust me, the next chapters gonna be intense! )
