Anyways, onto the story...

I have no idea what time it is, but I know that I should be sleeping right now, but I have to write down notes for Algebra. After I got tired of working on that hell spawn of a school subject, I decided to mess around with this weird looking toy gun that Mom had before she passed. I have no idea what this is because I searched the whole internet for something like this, but it doesn't appear on any of the sights. I paused what I was doing, hoping that I would hear something that will give the excuse to note do my homework assignment. And soon enough, I heard a pencil drop from the other side of the wall, Mateo and Izzie's room. Mateo must've been drawing again and fell asleep. I scoot out of my chair, and walked to their room as quietly as possible so I couldn't wake them up.
As I gotten closer, I heard a bit of electricity? 'That can't be right' I thought to myself as I slowly open the door and saw this hooded figure, with two bandaged horns, but one of them was broken, and pull the covers closer to Mateo, ensuring that he would stay asleep. Probably.
"Who are you?!" I asked in a hushed tone. "Me? Who are you?" He asked back, taking out what seems to be an hourglass. He also had eyes with red sclera, iris's that glowed a bright yellow, and had no pupil. "Okay, first of all, I asked you first; and second of all, you have weird arrow lodged in your shoulder." I pointed out, pointing to the arrow, that had purple electricity emitting from it, sticking in his shoulder.
He quietly winced in pain, reaching his free hand over to his right shoulder. Then, that arm had this black stuff start to corrupt his arm. "Holy, shit!" I whispered, covering my mouth in shock, not knowing what is happening. "Take this!" He said, tossing me the hourglass once his entire right arm was covered in whatever that was. "What am I supposed to do with this?!" I whispered-shouted when it landed in my hand. Then the corrupted arm tried to grab the hourglass from me.
We danced around as his arm tried to take the hourglass while the both of us were trying to keep that from happening. After a small while, I was leaning backwards, the hand with the hourglass just barely out the open window, and the other was holding the corrupt hand of the stranger back, and his free hand was on the window frame, trying to push himself away as he leaned over you. "Use the Adison Ray." He said. "The what-e-son?" I questioned. "The gun you have on your hip. Use it! It will stop the corruption!" He informed.
I kicked him away and instantly took the thing-a-ma-jig Ray as I saw that the corruption has spread to his right waist and half-way around his neck. I closed my eyes and pulled the trigger. I didn't feel, nor hear anything; concluding that everything was okay, I opened my eyes, and none of his body parts were corrupted anymore.
"Thank you, ma'am. Now- wait, where's the hourglass?" He asked. I looked down at my hands to realize that I didn't have the hourglass. "Uh... Whoops." I said, quickly running over towards the window, and the stranger following behind to see that it was on a dumpster lid. "Don't worry, I got this!" I said, pointing the ray gun at the hourglass. "Wai- Wha- Why?! What are you doing?" He asked, shocked and confused. "Sometimes, an idea that seems to be so dumb will be a good idea." I said, and then I fired. And it just made it worse; when it hit the hourglass, it made the hourglass ricochet off, bounced on the apartment buildings, hit a trash can, and when it hit the ground, it released a shockwave.
I grabbed the stranger and pulled him away from the window, but his slipped from my grasp and was thrown into the hallway. Just as the shockwave passed over us, Mateo instantly woke up, sitting up with a yelp. "Y/n?" Mateo questioned. "Oh, um... just checking up on you two to see if you both were getting your sleep." I quickly lied as Mateo got out of bed and walked over to Izzie's bed.
I turned my head to see the stranger, peering his head out from the doorway. I quickly made a hand gesture to not come in as Izzie muttered something in her sleep, making me instantly turn around with my hands behind my back and have a nervous smile on my face, scooting over to block their vision of the door, like I was hiding a broken vase.
"Izzie." Mateo called out. Izzie rubbed her eyes, trying to get rid of the sleepy feeling. "I'd just had the weirdest dream." Izzie said, sitting up. "How... How weird?" Mateo asked. He then turned to the window, walking towards it, Izzie following in suite. Meanwhile, I slowly slide over to the door and leave, looking between it and my younger siblings the entire time.
And just as I was about to grab the doorknob, Mateo called out to me. "Y/n, can you sing to us?" He requested as he and his sister went to their beds, laying down on them. "Um..." I dragged on, my eyes trailing to the door before I looked back at them. "S-sure. But... aren't you two a little old for me to do this?" I jokingly asked. "Y/n!" Izzie whined. "I'm kidding, I'm kidding! What song do you want me to sing." I asked, walking over to Mateo's bed, pulling the covers over him. "Hanging Tree, please?" Izzie said as I walked over to her bed, tucking her in and giving her plush shark, Mr. Sharkyjaw. A chuckle emitted from my throat. "Sure." I said.

Are you? Are you coming to the tree?
They strung up a man, they say who murdered three
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you? Are you coming to the tree?
Where the dead man called out for his love to flee
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you? Are you coming to the tree?
Where I told you to run, so we'd both be free
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met at midnight in the hanging tree
Are you? Are you coming to the tree?
Wear a necklace of hope, side by side with me
Strange things did happen here, no stranger would it be
If we met at midnight in the hanging tree
I sang as I adjusted the rest of Izzie's plushies on and around her bed, and then patted her head. I then walked over to Mateo's side of the room, grabbed any papers, pencils, markers, anything he uses to make his comics and put them up. Once I finished singing, and saw that they were asleep once again, I tip-toed my way to the door, slowly opening it and closed it behind.
"I am so sorry for what I did." I said in a quite tone, turning to the stranger with an apologetic look on my face. He just sighed. "It's fine. Now, I'll be taking my leave and find Lunia's Hourglass on my way out." He said, walking to the stairs. But I blocked his way by putting my arm in front of him.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! That's not a good idea. Considering that the shockwave might've woken up a bunch of people in the neighborhood, they would see you. Sorry if you find this offensive, but you don't look like a normal person, and usually when people see something not normal, they call the authorities, and when they get you, they'll pretty much take you Area 51 for experimentation just for not being a human or normal animal. Long-story-short, when people see you, they'll freak out and it's game over for you. It would be better if you stayed here." I explained.
"Are you sure?" He asked in an uncertain tone. "Yes. Think of it as... me repaying you for all the trouble I caused. Since that my family would freak out when they see you, it would be better to stay in my room." I said, leading him to my bedroom. "Okay, then, miss." He said. "Please, call me Y/n. You?" I said once we entered my room. "I... don't have a name." He said, scratching the back of his head. "That's sad. I can probably think of something to be your name. You can take my bed; I'll sleep on the floor." I said, getting two spare blankets and one of my pillows.
"That won't be necessary."
"Please, I insist."
"But I don't need to slee-" He stopped mid-sentence when I grabbed him by his cowl with an angry expression on my face.
"Bitch, did I fucking stutter? I said you can sleep in my bed, and I'll sleep on the floor for because I made your situation worse. So, take the goddamn offer from the kindness from my heart before I force you into the bed and make sure the blanket is tucked into the bed so tight you won't be able to move! Capice?" I quietly exclaimed. "Yes, ma'am." He quickly said, backing away and finally laid down on the bed. "Thank you. Goodnight, stranger." I said. I placed a blanket one the ground, put the pillow at the top of it, laid down, and pulled the other blanket up. I then fell asleep.
(What should his name be? Comment what you think it should be.)
