(Y/n) POV

I called mom at least 5 times, no answer. Her phone is off, that never happens. I'm getting worried. I didn't hear anything from Marissa either. What is going on with people?

I called a classmate yesterday after the incident to ask if there was school. She said no, the school has been shut down. I was shocked. How come I didn't hear anything about it.

I wasted my time to go to school and there wasn't even school.

●Text messages●

(y/n): hey Marissa did you know school has been shut down?

She didn't reply so I textet another classmate of mine.

(y/n): hey Jay, I heard school has been shut down
Why?

Jay: there were bodies discovered, haven't you seen the news?

(y/n): no that's why I'm asking

Jay: well for now just stay home

(y/n): how come everyone knew accept for me? 

Jay: dude idk, everyone got a call from the principal didn't you?

(y/n): No nothing

Jay: Okay well you'll hear it from me when we have school and you should watch the news more often

(y/n): Thanks Jay

Son of a- , seriously. I'm literally the only one who wasn't that important to get a call. That's messed up.

My life is getting weirder by the second. My mom is not picking up, my bestfriend is probably dead, no just kidding.

But I wanna know why she hasn't called or texted me back, she would never do that. Now school has been closed down, what now?

Since I met Jeff my life has been a complete mess. Speaking of Jeff, he's probably dead to. I haven't seen him two nights. Which is fine, I don't really care.

I layed on my bed and watched some food videos because I'm hungry but to lazy to make food. Suddenly I heard footsteps from outside my room.

Okay, this better not be some goddamn serial killer. I took my bat and positioned myself. The noises stopped and suddenly I heard laughter of a child.

The person slowly opened my door and I took a few steps back.

"Oh shit, not again"

My door was now wide open and no one was there. Am I going crazy? I slowly walked to the door and slammed it shut. I sighed and sat on my bed.

That wasn't very nice (y/n)

I jumped up and looked around my room. I'm getting paranoid.

"Listen, whatever is out there, I don't play games. So just come out dude! Or woman or alien, ghost, shit, whatever you are"

I don't know what I'm saying, I need help.

You know what, forget I said those things. Please, just go away and never return. I only fight humans.

The voice said and laughed

"What do you want!"

No response.

It was quiet, it looked like everything was back to normal. Or so I thought.

The floor started shaking, like there was an earthquake. Shadows surrounded my room.

"Yeah right, I may be dumb but I ain't stupid!"

I said and jumped out of the window. I landed on my back and it hurt real bad, but yeah who fucking cares. I'd rather die like this than to be killed by whatever that thing is.

I got up and grabbed my bat.

"Kiss my pretty little ass demon!"

I yelled and ran to Marissa's house because I had no where else to go.

I knocked several times but no response. I tried looking through the windows but it was dark inside.

I knocked again, hoping this time someone answers. No one did.

I searched in my pockets for my phone but forgot that I left it on the bed.

"Well shit"

I was about to give up and just leave but there was something I haven't tried yet. Opening the door?. I turned around and grabbed the doorknob and opened the door.

"It was unlocked the whole goddamn time!"

I walked inside and no one seemed to be home. It was dark and the lights didn't work.

"Yeah, fuck this shit I'm out"

I turned back around and walked to the door, but it slammed shut and couldn't open.

"Oh my fucking- .. What the hell is this!"

I swear, if another paranormal shit happens; a ghost is going to die today. I then walked around searching for something to open the door but nothing was useful.

I decided to go upstairs in Marissa's room. It was dark in here, so I walked to the window and opened her curtains. It was also dark outside. It couldn't be night already.

I sighed. "Okay okay (y/n) calm your booty down, it's gonna be okay"

Suddenly I felled a hand on my shoulder, I jumped and hit the figure with my bat.

"Seriously, I'm throwing that fucking bat away"

I recognized the voice and looked down at the figure.

"Omg! I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you"

Jeff "apology not accepted but yeah whatever"

"What the hell are you doing here? How did you even know I was here? And how did you get in?"

Jeff "window"

"You broke my friend's window!?"

Jeff "what are you talking about? This house has been abandoned for years, does it even matter that I broke it?"

"Wait.. what do you mean abandoned for years? Marissa lives here"

Jeff "probably gave you the wrong address"

"No! I came here yesterday.. unless"

Jeff "hmm?"

"This isn't her house but a replica of her house, this may be a trap. Omg.. what if you're not real either"

Jeff " you sound crazy (y/n) and I'm as real as you!"

"That's what a duplica would say! I'm sorry but I can't trust you" I said and hit Jeff with my bat.

He fell on the ground and yelled in pain. So does that mean he's real? Or nah.

Jeff "what the fuck is wrong with you!"

"Just needed to be sure"

Jeff "by hitting me!"

"Yeah.. sorry"

So I guess he was real then.
He stood up and snatched my bat out of my hand.

"Dude! Give it back!"

Jeff "no! You're to dangerous with a bat"

I growled in anger.

Jeff "(y/n) chill the fuck out"

"Then give me my fucking bat back!"

Jeff "no! We need to find a way out of here"

"Okay fine! Let's just get out the same way you got in"

Jeff "the window?"

"Yeah whatever"

Jeff "alright, come on then princess"

"Don't. Call. Me. Princess."

Jeff "why not... Princess~"

"Don't make me strangle you!"

Jeff "okay fine.. Jeez you don't need to be a bitch about it"

I ignored what he said and pushed him out of the way. He mumbled something but I just ignored it because he's a bitch.

He followed me and we walked downstairs.

"Which window did you break?"

Jeff "This one..."

"you're joking right"

Jeff " I swear it was this one"

"Non of the windows are broken. They don't even have one scratch on them"

Jeff "I. Can. See. That." He said frustrated

"What are we going to do?"

Jeff "smash it"

"Alright.. go on then" I said and took a few steps back.

Jeff "watch.. and learn"

He said and ran to the window and jumped. He hit his face and fell on the ground.

"What was I supposed to learn?"

Jeff "just.. shut.. up"

I rolled my eyes and helped him up. I looked at the window and not even a scratch.

"Guess we have to find another way out"

There is no other way

Jeff "wtf was that"

"Jee I don't know Jeff.. a voice?" I sarcastically said and rolled my eyes

Jeff " I know what it is"

"Then stop acting retarded"

Jeff growled at me and turned around.

"Alright.. who are you and what do you want?" I asked the mysterious voice

The voice said in a demonic tone.

Jeff "that's lame.. why do you want this crazy bitch soul for?"

"Not cool Jeff.."

Jeff "I don't care.. anyway you are not getting her soul. I don't care how crazy and unimportant this bitch is, your not getting it"

"Oh.. I'm really touched Jeff"

Jeff "thank you" he said and smirked

"I was being sarcastic"

Jeff "I don't really give a fuck, let's just get you out of here"

I nodded and we searched the entire house for an opening or anything that could lead us outside.

"This is getting frustrating as hell"

Jeff "tell me about it"

"Can't we just throw holy water at the ghost or something?"

Jeff "what are you? 5?"

"No, I am human"

Jeff "no, you're just a bitch"

"Excuse me!"

Jeff "Oh hey look.. an open door"

"Seriously! and we never noticed that!"

We walked to the door and went outside. 

"That was it?"

Jeff "I wasted my time for this!"

"This doesn't make any sense.. this was way to easy"

Jeff "well fuck it, we're out so let's get you home"

I nodded and together we walked to my house. I looked over at Jeff, who wore his hoodie over his head to hide his face. He then looked over at me and I looked away immediately.

Jeff "you are so weird.."

"Shut up" I said and blushed a little

When we made it home, we went upstairs in my room. Funny thing is, my room looks normal. It's like I've never been attacked. Except for my window, it's pretty damaged.

Jeff "what the hell happened to your window?"

"Uh.. it's just an accident"

Jeff "doesn't look like an accident"

"It's none of your business Jeff"

He said nothing back and keeps looking at my broken window. I just lay down and so many thoughts suddenly flashed through my mind.

Still didn't hear anything from my mom, I don't know what happened to my best friend and I'm stuck with Jeff. At least my dog is still here with me.

What should I do now?

"Hey Jeff?"

Jeff "hmm?"

"How did you know where I was? This doesn't make any sense"

Jeff "Does it really matter?"

"Uh yeah cause non of this makes sense to me, I need an explanation!"

Jeff "Okay fine.. I was on a mission but then I saw you walking into this abandoned house, so I thought to come "check on you" and I did. The front door was locked so I broke a window and searched for you inside the house and when I found you, you hit me with your bat"

"Okay.. it was nice of you to come "check on me" but do you know why I'm being haunted all of a sudden?"

Jeff " I don't know and I don't care.."

I rolled my eyes at him and thought of another question to ask him.

"My school has been shut down and I was the only one who didn't know"

Jeff "that's to bad.. probably because you're not important" he smirked

"Ha Ha really funny.. that's when all the haunting started"

Jeff "I don't know what to tell you.. I'm a killer and not a ghost buster"

"One of your pals came to save me"

Jeff looked at me and raised an eyebrow.

Jeff "who?"

"Uhh I think his name is Toby.. yeah Toby"

Jeff "interesting"

"He said it was his mission"

Jeff started laughing like the idiot he is but then stopped and looked at me.

Jeff "wait you're serious? Now why would his mission be saving you"

"I don't know.. I was hoping you would know"

It was silent for a moment

Jeff "I'll be back.."

He said and jumped out of my window.

"Okay I'm triggered right now.. I'm just gonna lay down and pretend I didn't see that"
