Guess who got a healthy amount of sleep last night so they couldn't write but now they're staying up late even though they have a volleyball game Friday(Tomorrow) and needs rest because they're a setter and their team kinda sucks at receiving so I need to run a lot. *Raises hand* But you know I got sleep and all of my friends were proud of me. 

So sorry this was late I really needed to work on another one of my books because it was the last chapter and I cried due to the fluff fest.(If you want a FLUFFY book go to my page and read "Street Rats" the name makes it sound angsty but it's really not)

TW: Injuries, self deprivation thoughts(IDK how to spell), bullying, talk about past kidnaping

Roman woke up and looked up at the bright white lights. 

Roman(Head): Where am I?

Logan(Head): Power High Roman

Roman:AHHH Oh. Sorry Logan I forgot you could hear me.

Logan: It is no problem

Virgil: Would you 2 shut up and let me sleep

Logan: Virgil it is 9 am

Virgil: AKA much too early to be awake

Patton: Awww Come on Virgil it's not THAT early

Roman: To be fair we did get back at like 7 am and we didn't get much sleep before that

Just then Remus came bursting through the doors of Power High's infirmary with Janus, Remy, and Emile following behind him. Logan instantly slapped his hands over his ears

Janus: How do you always have to much energy

Logan: And how are your thoughts always so loud!

Remus: I don't know and I don't know!

Emile: Well how about we calm down a little bit kiddo?

Remus: Finneeeee.

Remy: So how are you babies feeling

Logan: We are fine and Emile I can hear all of your questions so you do not need to wait we are know we need to answer them at some point

Emile: Oh ok. Well I guess that leads me to my first question whats going on with your powers?

They boys proceeded to explain everything that had happened over the past week. After Janus sat in thought for a few seconds before speaking.

Janus: When powers first develop they tend to be more powerful and out of control before settling down a few days to a week after they first develop right.

Logan: Yes that would be correct.

Janus: So maybe you're power problem has something to do with that.

Virgil: What?

Remy: What our scaly friend means is that your powers might have had a reboot of sorts.

Patton: So you think our powers rebooted and that why they are acting up so much. But I don't think the first time I developed my powers it being this bad. I mean I can't even come down when I'm asleep!

Roman: But what Chaos somehow amplified our powers somehow so thats why they're even worse

Remus: How bad was the first time y'all developed your powers? I defiantly remember watching Roman lite himself on fire and run around the house screaming while I made s'mores on him

Roman: WE WERE 5!

Remus: KACHAN WE WERE FIVEEEEEE

Roman: I hate you so much

Emile: Um.... Ok. Well back to the topic. What were your first couple of days with powers like

Patton: Well I don't remember much cause I was young but I do remember flying into a wall. My problem was mostly having trouble controlling my floating and balance. But I could always stop floating and come back. But now I have full control overing my floating except for the fact I can't come down

Virgil: And when I was a kid I just kinda started making a bunch of my favorite animals or whatever but now it's just the shadows keep talking to me wich means I have control over them but I still haven't taken control yet. It wasn't really like that when I was a kid

Logan: Yes and when I first developed my powers my telekinesis was out of control. I did not have control yet over what I lifted and apparently my parents had to lock me in a room of heavy objects to keep everything on the floor. But now it is my mind reading that I can not control though my control over it was never the best.

Roman: And when I was a kid it was my surface fire that caused a bunch of problems. My core flame never acted up but now it's definitely my core flame making my body temperature go up.

Janus: Ok... Well Logan and Roman you said your powers that are amplified now are the ones that you could never really turn off. So maybe Chaos was trying to amplify them even more

Remus: No. He was trying to amplify the powers in total but he also needed to make sure that the different parts of their powers were equal.

Remy: What 

Remus: Think about it like this. You have an energy gun and it has 2 settings, kill and stun. Well you want the gun to be as powerful as possible and make it so it only has a kill setting. So you need to amplify the amount of power the stun setting has before adjusting it to make the kill setting more powerful so instead on only being able to explode one head it can make 2 go BOOM

Logan: That... actually makes sense

Roman: You mean you could have coherent thoughts this entire time and you still have just been spouting nonsense!

Remus:*Finger guns* Yup

Emile: The things you could control as a kid you can't now and what you couldn't control you seem to be comfortable with.

Patton: So he's trying to make our powers more powerful in general and making sure each part of our power has the same strength. 

Virgil: And now we have to wait for our powers to even out again for things to go back to at least semi normal

Janus: Looks like it. But for now you guys need to rest you're still hurt and need to recover.

Emile: Jan is right. Come on Remy. Remus you can stay if you want.

Remus: Nah I might as well give them like 3 seconds of silence plus I have a new project to work on.

Roman: it's that kill gun you were talking about earlier isn't it

**Time skip brought to you by WOW THAT WAS A LOT OF DIALOGUE**

2 days later the boys were allowed to move back into their dorms and the next day they would be returning to class. They were all grateful to be back in their rooms and went to bed early to make sure they were rested and ready for school the next day. They had been able to catch up on their missed work over their 3 days in the infirmary(Due to the fact that most of their classes are hero classes so they didn't have too much work to turn in)

Their powers had also settled down a bit. Patton could walk on the ground but when he got over excited he started to lift off the ground, Virgil could still hear some of the shadows whispers, Logan still heard everyones thoughts but they were no longer shouting at him, and Roman's body temperature had gone down though he still wore gloves to make sure he wouldn't burn anything he was holding for too long.

They walked into their Power Enhancement class first thing the next morning and got ready for the day

Virgil flopped onto the couch of their dorm and groaned.

Virgil: This day sucked

Roman: Ah come on it wasn't that-

Virgil: No don't even try! I mean all day everyone was just talking behind our backs about how we were the kids who got kidnapped! I wish they would just say it to our faces. And when they found out about our powers...

Roman: Hey darling it's ok

Virgil: NO IT'S NOT! All I heard today was "Freak" I mean.. What if we really are freaks Roman. I mean

Roman: Hey Virgil it's ok look at me. You aren't a freak. You are amazing and special and kind.

Virgil: ROMAN! We are freaks. Or I'm a freak! We can't control our powers and... WHERE ARE YOU GOING

Roman had started to walk up the stairs with a determined look on his face. He smiled at Virgil before disappearing upstairs and coming back down with a speaker

Virgil: Roman why do you have a speaker

Roman: You'll see

Roman smiled as he started playing music from his speaker.

Roman: If you're a freak then I'm one too.

Virgil listened to the song as lyrics started flooding through the speaker. He didn't recognize the song due to the fact he's spent the past 5 years only listening to Emo bands.

Virgil: What are you playing Roman?

Roman&Speaker: So if you've had enough then... 

Virgil: ROMAN!

Roman: Come to the land of the lost and lonely

Virgil: Roman what are you doing

Roman: Don't be afraid we'll be one big family. Of freaks like you and me. I know a place where the bruised and broken live like the kings and the queens of tradegy. Just freaks like you and me. We are the freaks

Roman smiled and pulled Virgil close to him.

Roman: Virgil I don't care if the others think we're freaks cause we'll be our own family of freaks. I promise. I love you Virgil

Virgil: hmmmmm. I love you too Roman

Roman smiled and placed a kiss on Virgils head before backing up and continue singing the song. Virgil quickly caught onto the chorus and sang along with Roman. The two danced and laughed till Patton and Logan came back.

Hey so like the entire second part of this story(From when they escaped from Chaos and beyond) for the sole reason I wanted to write this scene. The song is "Freaks" by Jordan Clarke and I absolutely LOVE it. It's one of my favorite songs and if you couldn't tell it's about loving yourself and being a freak together.
